Keith Holland re-fretted my 1979 Fender Stratocaster and it was like a brand new axe.
Service is always good and knowledgeable. I recommend the shop.
I took my Tad Adachi classical guitar that I’ve owned since 1978 (yes it’s my baby) to the guys over at the guitar hospital after reading their reviews. I noticed the bridge was just starting to pull loose from sound board. They listened to my concerns and were very professional, I was quoted a price to inspect the problem and give it a good once over. Keith performed the work himself. All I can say is that it came back better then I could have ever imagined. I can’t even tell where the bridge was repaired. Keith also reset the action, cleaned and polished it and installed the new strings I supplied. When I picked it up I actually paid the price I was quoted!!! By the way the quoted price was ridiculously reasonable. 5 stars do not do this place justice.
Excellent real-deal shop. Referred here by another shop which could not do my repair (guitar electronics).
Beautiful guitars, friendly staff, and an extensive display of guitar parts for repairs or builds.
Es una pequeña escuela de música y también bende instrumentos musicales ven te va a encantar tiene sus maestros para cada instrumentos
My son loved the summer camp and enjoyed trying different instruments and learning to make his own music as well as play simple tunes. He was a complete beginner, but loved it so much he did an extra week of camp.
Rocking kids is a super fun place to be, in the summer or just to take lessons. I enjoyed the summer camp very much. And am currently taking trumpet there!
re the camp: she takes too many kids, & can not handle.
a mediocre artistic experience, fairly dark place, poor communication.
not recommended.
There is nothing more universally appealing than the soaring sounds of a Flamenco guitar, and in the hands of Roderigo Teague, the music flows like magic from every part of the instrument. His addictive and engaging Spanish beat will infuse your event with exactly the right melodic energy to take it to the next level. Rod is a dedicated and gifted professional who always pours heart and soul into every performance, and he is an absolute delight to work with, too.
Rodrigo and his partner were the perfect musicians to play at our wedding celebration. From the beginning to the end, they were very professional, yet easy-going, and my friends and family loved them. I highly recommend their music for any event to add a touch of class and a beautiful melody to the background. Super top-notch!
Fantastic guitar player! Rodrigo played at our wedding and accompanied a flutist for a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria. It was a highlight of the ceremony and played masterfully, under the redwoods, at the Mt. Winery.
Great to see that Music Village is still open. Great staff, lots of sheet music, instruments and novelty items. They do repairs and have many music teacher referrals.
So many music stores are closing and at a time when music is so important as a therapy for the homebound. Go there and buy something! Collaborate with people, get kids involved, and make music videos! Keep music alive!
Super helpful and friendly staff.
When dealing directly, the gentleman at the counter was cool. However, overall customer service could improve. I came into the store and stood second in line behind a customer who needed some repairs on 2 instruments. No big deal, that is what they do. I think though to be efficient they may want to ask if anyone in line has an item they want to pay for quickly and leave. Instead, the string replacement proceeds with folks in line. After that repair was done I walked up assuming to be next. Nope, instead another customer was motioned to go ahead of me because they were in the store first. Not in line first, but in the store browsing first. Never knew until now this is how it works. Come in and browse and when you are done you go ahead of any customer in line so long as you came into the store before them. On the positive note, large inventory and staff was very helpful retrieving and holding my book in front for easy pickup access.
Helpful staff. Good vibe. Massive selection of sheet music books and I saw books on topics like electronic music production. One wing of the store is a music school.
I completely trust these guys with my guitars. Caleb has done incredible set up and repair work for me for years. I play aggressively and my guitars stay in tune perfectly. He’s a musician as well and understands how to make guitars perform at their best.
I recently rented a flute for my son. My son tried the flute at the store and it seemed ok. My son came home and practiced it and it had problem. We went back and they tried to repair. My son went to the class and the Flute teacher said that the Flute is leaking and asked us to return it. I rented it on Sat. and returned it on Monday. The still charged even though we mentioned that the flute was bad.
DO NOT RENT FLUTE FROM HERE. Also they charge very high for repair charges. I compared our son’s flute for repair between their shop and another shop. They were expensive by $200.
I will neve go back there.
Head teacher is excellent. Strong focus on foundational music skills: singing, ear training, basic theory, and keyboard. This is the same stuff taught at top music conservatories, but in a way that is suited for small children. Both of my sons (now aged 6 and 4) have been attending this program since they were 3 years old.
It’s a perfect place for kids to learn music. Environment is great and teachers are patient and super duper professional. Teachers are Standard Teaching Certificate holders. Teacher Sue is an excellent teacher. She teaches in detail and cares about every student. I enjoy the adult piano class with her. Highly recommend here to be the starting place to explore music for kids or even adults.
Bought a Groupon and loved the class! I had taken guitar lessons previously from someone else and they didn’t stick due to the lack of practice. Thought I’d start with the piano lessons here first and then switch over to guitar afterwards.
Glad to see the obvious progress of my kid playing the piano. The teacher is nice and professional.
okay music store :/ i know the people there which is the only reason why i gave it 4 stars. They have expensive music books and reeds. They do not have a large selection of instruments to buy. they are a Yamaha store which is how i got my brand new ycl 200 for $300. Honestly, don’t consider buying from here unless you want beginner yamaha instruments.
Provide music instruments and class
Teacher Zhuang refused to teach me Guzheng after my first tryout class. At the end of the class she suddenly threw a fit by making excuses to ditch me. I felt I didn’t do anything wrong in this whole event. I arrived earlier than the set time and didn’t mind waiting as her earlier class went overtime. Being the only student in the class, I tried to learn at my best and be respectful to her and the teaching assistant. The drama came at the end while she was harshly criticizing those who were short of commitment in learning an instrument. She continued with excuses of unwillingness to teach me in the future, and she even asked the TA to find me another teacher in the studio. I thought that perhaps it was my answers to her questions during the class that made her think I wouldn’t be a long term student. This was the first time we met and she didn’t even know me. Teacher Zhuang may reserve the right to refuse service, but it is not acceptable to insult people by using a rude and biased manner. I cannot speak for those young students who are learning piano from her, however, be warned if anyone is in my position.
Visited the location and requested a schedule for my kids, but never called back

“I will say based on this training [Voice Club Vocal Technique Online Class] 3 times per week, my voice is much stronger and I am not hoarse after the gig! Truth!” -John Carter
Ruth has been incredible in developing my vocal technique and confidence in performing! I’ve been working with her for about 9 months now via weekly group classes and the occasional private lesson; she’s built an awesome community of singers and songwriters of all ages and backgrounds. I’m most thankful for the live performance opportunities she gives her students. Highly recommend 🙂
Thank you so much Ruth for being the most supportive vocal coach! I’m so grateful to be working with you! Thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to be my very best! ❤️❤️
13. Ramblerz Musicians – Live Band for Events and Parties
Was helped by a very knowledgeable young man who sadly was leaving his job there in a few days. We talked about microphones, podcasting and the local scene. Thanks for the pleasant and informative retail experience….you were an asset to this private equity owned monstrosity of a music store. In my opinion, music stores need a soul. This one does not. They did, however, have what I needed and were right down the street. Crass consumerism at its finest. I’ll go cry now….
My husband took his bass in for a possible frequency interference in the sound. Alex helped us from the repairs department. He played it in three different ways and on a few different amps to try and figure out the problem. He asked a lot of questions, which made it seem like he was helping but I’m not sure if he knew what he was looking for or talking about. Tommy however was pretty handsy, he was another employee that came up while Alex was testing the bass and just started playing and admiring the instrument. He would also pluck strings in between Alex’s explanations. I appreciate Tommy’s passion for music but it would be nice if he learned some more professional boundaries and kept his hands off customer’s instruments or at least asked first. But what do you expect from the quality of staff? Overall they couldn’t help us because they couldn’t figure out the problem and stated several times “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. We asked about the strings as well because we were looking for new ones. We wanted to explore different sizes. Alex offered to tell us which ones we already had on the instrument which he could do with a tool at his desk. However the tool wouldn’t work and he gave is his best guess. Overall the store is very well organized, clean, with a brand new feeling. The employees are eager to help and touch your instruments whenever they get the chance though their knowledge is limited . It’s ok, though we might seek a second more professional opinion for any future sound problems for our electric bass/guitars.
I came today and it was closed, in maps it says it was open what’s happening?? Why you guys didn’t update your hours?
Excellent customer service. The parking lot can be troublesome.
We came to buy a talking drum . When asking questions the guy with the semi long boy band haircut was very rude . We are a drum team and will not be back here .
I learned about the changed time after driving for 20 minutes. It should have been updated online
Clean Store, decent selection could do alot better. Most employees are friendly but john was a little pushy for my liking. Was a little hesitant to ask questions so ended up leaving disapointed and empty-handed. Other employees were not very knowledgeable in what i was looking for. Needs improvement.
