This is a cool little family type music store. I used to get sheet music here years ago. They were always nice and super helpful
The staff were polite and very friendly.
I rented a saxophone for my son and was able to pick it up the next day with no hassle. Thank you!
Bought two Bach Strads from them a while back, a Trumpet (LR180S72) and a Flugelhorn (183S) at an absolute bargain of a price. The one gripe I have is that they take a little while to do repairs, as they send the instruments to San Diego to do so, but other than that this is a great place for all enthusiasts.
Both beautiful and professional people everytime I go there they have something new the only downfall of bertrands music is they don’t keep what they sell if you don’t get there in time its a wrap and it would be nice to have the instrument repair technician on site there’s only one other place I know that can give bertrands music any kind of real competition but they don’t advertise on the internet so more power to you bertrands people bertrands website doesn’t sin to cater to my phone service for some reason so I can’t see the instruments they have therefore they only get 4 stars I will updated accordingly and since we are name dropping raelina Espinosa and I have also noticed there are no bad reviews at all that’s good stuff I’m claiming that place LOL
Would not go back to this place. I went to to purchase reeds for my granddaughter . Cashier said I need to make a account I said I just here to buy reed’s I don’t want an account. She gave me hard time then called on her phone talked to some one said I could pay cash since I didn’t want to make an account. I said I don’t want an account I have my credit card n Id ,asked for my phone number.
Very nice people, but I was a customer willing to pay for a horn, but wasn’t taken seriously at all. I went to another place, got my dream horn from the wall, and bought it there for $2000 less than what this place wanted. They said they were going to call me back, when my horn was ordered and ship to them, but one month later… still no call, so I decided to go back, and they yet have ordered the horn I wanted. They offered me brands I wasn’t even asking for, and insisted i buy that brand instead of what I WANTED.
2. Guitar Center
Address: 925 E Hospitality Ln, San Bernardino, CA 92408 , Muscoy , California , United States
Very good treatment. Trabajan muy bien, muy amable y el servicio esta increible.
Everyone is very friendly & Victor is awesome
Brought my son to buy some trombone essentials which included a learning book and they had it all. It’s a cozy little store with lots of instruments essentials and more with very reasonable prices. The guy that helped us was really nice and informative. I highly recommend them for any of your instruments needs including music classes.
Friendly, knowledgeable owner. Got my Instrument back in 2 weeks as promised. Location a little questionable.
Poco surtido
Friendly staff, but they didn’t have much of a selection of instruments.
When picking up a repair, they had someone working the counter who didn’t know 1) where my guitar was, 2) if and how I could test it, or 3) how to work their cash register system so I could pay. The employee said they didn’t really know anything and was just covering, but they had to phone a supervisor 3 times get information and the pick up took way longer than expected.
I get it, folks are busy, but if an employee is covering during opening hours they should have some base line of training… right?
Also if you’re gonna pay this business money for something, make sure you have Zelle or venmo since that’s what I ended up having to use, and don’t expect a receipt!
They also lost the little screws on the backplate of the guitar, and since they don’t do repairs on site they couldn’t replace them when I picked it up and said I’d need to pay 10 dollars and do another repair.
All that to say, the guitar does work and sound good though, but I doubt I’d go here again if there are other options.
4. Walmart
Address: 4001 Hallmark Pkwy, San Bernardino, CA 92407 , Muscoy , California , United States
For the self checkout registers. Five stars. Makes my shopping relaxing.. Because I don’t need to deal with cashiers…
I don’t shop at Walmart, my buddy does. I think there’s to many rude people that go there and the so called deals aren’t that good
I can always get in and out of Walmart pretty quick but tonight it was extra fast. Simply cuz of the girl at the self checkout part. She was on it tonight. Just sorry I didn’t get her name.
excellent quality in your articles not in your staff, who are mostly rude, lack of preparation
Don’t ever order online I ordered monster pipeline punch and because they didn’t have it instead of cancelling the order they charge me and dropped off stickers and a magazine never again!
no
Long lines. Rude associates.
5. Roxana’s Music
Address: 9773 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335 , Muscoy , California , United States
Very helpful and friendly. Had everything we needed.
Really nice quiet music shop geared towards musical pedagogy. The employees I talked to were very friendly and knowledgeable about music theory and performance. Would definitely recommend to anyone just starting out regardless of age!
All the staff members were very friendly, and helpful. Ms. Erm was especially a god send. She really helped make it possible for my daughter to rent a violin. Thank you sooo much!
What words can adequately express my disapproval with this place? Two months ago, my violin bow required a rehairing, so I sent it to this place, as it was the cheapest. Turns out, it was cheap for a reason. Upon taking it home, the hairs fell apart within a week, and I had to send it in again. Concurrently, my brother, also a violinist, sent in his bow to be rehaired as well. A couple days after he received it back, it collapsed during his violin lesson. When I received mine for the second time, the hairs fell apart yet again in merely two days. So, as if we had not yet learned from our prior mistakes, we sent it in for the final time, hopefully. When we gave it to the associates, who had assurred us that they would not charge us, they insinuated that my brother and I had been mistreating our bows, asking, “Have they been sword-fighting with these?’ It was amazing that never once did they apologize; instead, they chose to shower us with condemnations, as if we were the culpable ones. Well, I learned a valuable lesson, to be sure: When it comes to Nick Rail’s, dispense with quality, bring in inadequacy. You would do well to never frequent this place.
Adult musicians, do yourself a favor and save yourself the trip.
I play the alto sax and guitar and want to learn the violin–I always have. I lived 10 years in the DC area and am still not quite remembering where all the instrument shops are around here. But I have started my search around Redlands and am finding nothing by way of violins to try out. Everyone online says “You gotta try them in person. You gotta try them in person.” So you make special trips to these stores and they have nothing in stock.
Look, I’m not a stupid person. I know beginners tend to start on a beginning instrument when it comes to violin. But since no one in town has any violins (at least so far), I want to go straight to an intermediate instrument to save myself the headache for when I advance.
But the guy gives me the condescending “you’re a beginner lecture” on how beginners should start on a beginning instrument since my pitiful ears won’t hear any difference. Then he recommends I get a teacher before buying an instrument. But you know what, guy? You’re just trying to sell me the one Eastman you have in stock.
You. Don’t. Have. Any. Other. Instruments. In. Stock.
Come on! You want me to go get a teacher, waste his/her time waiting for you to order 2 or 3 (just 2 or 3?!) so I can try them out? And what if I don’t like those 2 or 3? We have to wait for more to come in? Then I say fairly dejected at how my pursuit of one measly violin is going in the Inland Empire, I say, “Ohhh… kay… I guess I’ll try later, then, I guess.” And the guy says, “Ok…” He just lets me walk out the door. I guess they got it that good over at Nick Rail.
I tell you what. Everyone online says to buy in person, don’t buy online, but the most helpful people ARE online. The quality information and help IS online.
Online is where I will buy an instrument. Forget supporting local business in this regard. Dude at Nick Rail: If the instrument breaks, I trust people online far more to take care of it for me than you. 🙂
Nick Rail Music is for kids and parents. Period. The sad thing is that going by their positive website and videos, I thought I might have found a good place to be a long-term in-house customer. haha
Do not go here. They wanted to charge 57.00 for cello strings that cost $10 online. They told us that they would love for us to show them where there were cheaper cello strings. They also said that normally they charge $114 dollars and they discounted it 40%. We looked online and saw that the same cello strings were only $10. They somehow couldn’t think of a cheaper string set that. $57! And that was discounted! If you want to get ripped off, then this is the place to go!
7. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4449 Mills Cir, Ontario, CA 91764 , Muscoy , California , United States
Staff was very knowledgeable and answer all our questions. Explain the differences between the brands of the instrument and help us choose the correct one for our kiddos. I recommend Sam Ash Music Store to parents with kiddos starting in band.
Very friendly approachable staff that helped me with all my guitar needs. Came for more strings a tuner and some new picks and the vibe is just alive and beautiful!
Sam Ash is rips.
Not an extensive collection of drums or cymbals but staff made up for it in friendliness and service.
Good selections of musical related stuffs and musical instruments
Todo bien nadamas el personal que habla español necesita ser un poco más amable pues el cliente que habla español también paga son más atentos los que hablan ingles o si no les gusta su trabajo que cambien ay disculpen esa es mi opinion
It’s hard to say I like this location. The only times I’ve ever had a good experience at the store, I was only browsing. The times I’ve made purchases, I struggled to find a representative to help me make a transaction.
Most recently I went in to buy a case for my guitar, which is a reverse fender offset body style, so I just wanted someone to help me find a case that fit. Of course, the only people I can find are either busy or walking away from me and pick up the pace when they hear me say excuse me. I’d gone to the greeter and asked if he could help me and his response was something along the lines of “sorry I can’t help I’m just a greeter.” Really? Where I work, if I can’t answer a question or I can’t help someone, I find someone who can. That’s customer service. I ask if he can call someone over the intercom to help me, and he would say “yeah I can definitely do that for you. …..did you want me to do that right now? You want me to call someone to come here?” Im just thinking, Buddy, are you stupid? He called someone for me and I spoke with them for a bit, he told me to wait where I was while he pulled out a case to see if it fit. 10 minutes pass and I see him helping another guest so I opted to wait in line at the register and asked the cashier to help me. Cashier calls someone else, which is understandable because there were customers behind me in line that needed to complete a purchase. The guy pulls out a case and it’s not the right fit, then he pulls out another case that fit and when he was ringing me up he told me the keys to lock the case were inside the compartment under where the neck would sit. I go home relieved that I finally was done with the situation. A little excited I have a new case for my guitar, I’m checking it out a little closer and realize the keys were nowhere to be found. This place already gave me bad enough service, I don’t want to go back and deal with the same workers and get treated the same way again. I genuinely felt as though my time and money was of no value to this location.
However, I have had some good experiences at this location when I’m just browsing. I’ll be looking at microphones or effects pedals and a rep will strike up conversation with me. Just casual conversation, it doesn’t feel like they just want to make a sale, it feels like they genuinely want to talk to me about what they’re saying. Some of their representative are very well informed and know what they’re talking about, and they are very polite and cordial. Where are these reps when I actually intend to make a purchase?
I don’t plan on making any purchases here again any time soon. I shouldn’t have to come on a “good day” or hope one of the “good workers” is available to help me out. Would not recommend this location.
Mal servicio
This store is garbage and the manager named Chris. Horrible service and would rather give my business to guitar center. Stay away from this location.
8. Redlands Guitar Shop
Address: 208 Orange St, Redlands, CA 92374 , Muscoy , California , United States
Very knowledgeable and professional. Friend atmosphere. I would highly recommend Redlands Guitar
Great shop, experienced staff, excellent service.
Support local knowledgeable businesses
Great prices, quick service, not very personable
. good little family shop
I don’t remember coming here but if I did I’m pretty sure it’s a cool place
Don’t usually write reviews but this place is so horrible I felt I had to. Took my band new guitar for a basic step up. They did a horrible job and damaged my guitar. Employees are extremely rude and the owner is the worst of them all. Don’t give this place your business.
I rarely write a scathing review, so I decided to sit on my experience here for about 3 months before finally deciding to write a review. Unfortunately, I also rarely have experiences which feel so belittling, I can’t let them go. My recent need for musical supply led me to remember the poor experience I had here….
I’m an avid guitar learner, fairly new to the scene, but not as a musician (I play piano and ukulele quite a bit). I came here looking for advice as a poor student who received an acoustic guitar for a gift, but was headed toward Flamenco style playing. I came here asking if it were possible to use nylon strings on my acoustic temporarily until I could afford a classical guitar to facilitate my style. It’s a noob question, but remember I was very new at the time.
First off, what I liked:
The place was clean, had a great selection, and nearly everything you could need in short order at a guitar store. They had more than just guitars, which I really liked, as I appreciate a wide variety of instruments. Someone had come in and was playing one of the guitars. Beautiful piece to whoever that was. The laid back atmosphere hit me instantly and I expected great things from a shop that rejected the corporate giant feel.
What wasn’t so hot:
Unfortunately, what I got was the complete opposite. I was asked if I needed help, and I told an older gentleman (probably in his late 50s early 60s) about my circumstance with my guitar, and halfway into my question, he cut me off and started talking to another employee. Note: this wasn’t the long winded version. I simply said I received an acoustic guitar, started playing flamenco, and wanted to know if I could switch out stri—…. That’s as far as I got. He called another employee over and speculated on what on object was on his counter for about a minute while I stood their awkwardly. He finally returned to our conversation, I posed the question, and he said, “No,” before returning to his conversation with the employee. He didn’t offer me any other service, and for all intent and purpose I was invisible.
Final Verdict:
Maybe this guy was having a bad day. Perhaps he wasn’t a regular employee. Perhaps he was the store owner. Who knows? All I know if that I left feeling stupid and an inconvenience to the gentleman. I loved his shop, but I find behavior to a customer who would have used his services and supplies (he’s the closest guitar place to me) 100% unacceptable for business image. If I ever return and find the service more palatable, I would gladly remove this negative review. But for the service I received….
I rate this business as 1 star and would NOT recommend using them in the future.
From other reviews, I can see this shop is normally a great shop in the community. I can only hope I find the same service at a later date.
Gouchy old man.
9. Roll Over Beethoven Music Stre
Address: 16130 Main St, Hesperia, CA 92345 , Muscoy , California , United States
All employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Good prices, excellent selection.
Amazing customer service. Jeff helped my sister alot with finding a guitar she would love and be able to learn easily. Save yourself the trip going to any music store and come ask for Jeff!
Best deals in the desert and the staff here and so Knowledgeable and they can help. you get what you need if they don’t got it..✌ ✌
Friendly, efficient staff. Not the best selection, though. We still found a good starter violin for my daughter.
I needed a microphone and stand on the 4th of July the guys hooked me up with a quality set-up for alot less than bucks
Pretty awesome place, good people, and cheap prices but they’re going to be going out of business soon so you better get there soon
They said they would buy records and didnt
I want there
High prices. Low selection. Too bad they are the only local music store. Worth driving to guitar center
10. Guitar Center
Address: 12479 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739 , Muscoy , California , United States
First visit to the Rancho Guitar Center. The staff were quick to be very helpful, showed me options, provided feedback on any products I inquired about, and genuinely made the impression that they were customer-service oriented. I’ll definitely be a return customer. Totally professional and friendly at the same time. That’s kinda rare these days. So, overall? AAA+
Great spot. Helped me find my favorite guitar
Fast and easy way to purchase an instrument
Its a little lonely, but you’ll get a deal ands it’s a fully stocked guitar center store with all the trappings, should I even write this as. Eyeing some gems
Great staff… very Knowledgeable
Guitarras de todos los tipos, marcas y precios! Hermosas todas! Y otros instrumentos y accesorios!

11. C J’s Music
Address: 23898 Sunnymead Boulevard, Moreno Valley, CA 92553 , Muscoy , California , United States
Strings and small items are a little bit more expensive than what you’d pay online at Amazon or something but it’s definitely worth it to support small local business. I’ve had two guitars repaired there now and if I ever need more work done I’m coming here for sure. The workmanship was fantastic and the price was incredibly reasonable.
Having two guitars repaired here. Very honest assessment, low cost repairs. He will even sell you parts and tell you how to do it yourself if the repair work is simple
Great store – have music items needed – owner is really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Many options nut messy store. The owner is always pleasant
He has a great selection of brass equipment and is very helpful with any questions.
Good customer service.
Dropped my guitar off with a case, cracked my case and cracked my guitar when u got it back, had to send it back a again because they diddnt do a good job the first time (they made it worse then I brought it in) took another 2 weeks for them do a decent job. Don’t recommend, ended up with a crack/ chip in my guitar, crack in my case that was brand new and can not be used anymore, and a dirty guitar, they did not clean it after leaving their marks on the guitar
15 years ago, I took my mom’s guitar here to be tuned for my guitar class. The owner stole the ivory tuning keys from the guitar and replaced them with white plastic tuning keys without asking me. When I came back to pay, he made it seem that he had upgraded my guitar for free. I went home and my mom broke into tears. I hadn’t realized that I had been ripped off. We returned, and asked for them back. With a smirk on his face, he told my father and me that he had thrown them out and that there was no way to get them back. It was obvious that he was lying. He ripped off a child, and that always plays back in my mind.
The guy there was rude and pushy, he had multiple customers willing to buy from him but he had an attitude when he wasn’t able deal with all of them at once. They should hire more people to help around and expand the store. It’s cramped and dangerous to walk around because you could walk into drum sets and you’d have to pay for the expenses if you break it. Overall, needs to get a bigger space and hire more people.
12. Music & Arts
Address: 3560 Riverside Plaza Dr # 408, Riverside, CA 92506 , Muscoy , California , United States
Come in and enjoy the company of musicians who are knowledgeable and still care about the customer experience. Samantha rocks! She is well disposed and listens to the customers needs and concerns.
Always had a good experience here. New name, same place. Rent or buy instruments here. Grab a reed or some strings.
I needed a guitar tech to re-string my acoustic/ electric guitar, with some broken pieces. He charged me the standard rate for replacing strings, when he could have charged me extra. I was happy with the service I received
Very helpful and nice place
Very helpful but need cheaper price on some clarinet reeds.
Large selection of musical instruments and the staff don’t mind us trying it out. Good service and selection.
This is a sham company. We rented a sax from them on a rent-to-own contract. We paid the required payments to close out the account and they concocted some charge of $400 plus $500 in admin fees saying that I never actually finished my contract. However when we took the instrument back to them and they scanned the serial number the sax had already been taken out of the system. They have now filed a mark against me with the credit bureaus for $935 and I have already paid $5000. This is a joke company that absolutely takes advantage of people who need instruments. BE VERY CAREFUL AND READ YOUR CONTRACT! The first instrument you rent may not qualify for rent to own and they will not tell you!
Send my guitar for set-up and never see and talk to the technician and tell the salesman about the problem and they said they will fix it and took the payment. But when i got my guitar the problem still exist.they to send it back twice and never fix the problem. I will never again to send my guitar without seeing a technician and a work shop in a store. I learned my lesson. Beware!!!
The most low budget guitars and equipment that I’ve ever seen inside a music store. Good luck finding a parking space without getting into an accident. Worst parking area ever. The woman that helps to run the place is extremely rude. Not a place to go if you want to try out an instrument before you buy it.
13. Psalm 33 Music

Jack did a great job for my classical Yamaha acoustic guitar.
Great service, fair pricing, fast turnaround.
Jack is a true craftsman when it comes to the knowledge of guitar repair. I took in my 28 year old vintage Gibson for a bridge fracture, saddle adjustment and fret work. Set up was excellent and the instrument now plays better than when it was new. I would recommend highly.
Everything service wise was fine, but he doesnt do repairs on microamps. Wouldve saved me time and a $100 deposit had I been told that upfront.
There are not a lot of people who do repairs on microamps because they can be very difficult to work with, so make sure that if that’s what you have, that you clarify that upfront.
Charged me $300 for a setup and pickup swap. He did not wire them correctly after 2 appointments with him. They still do not work. Now he wants to charge me 70 more dollars to replace the switch thinking thats what the root of the issue is. $370 is way too much when all I wanted was a setup and to swap my pickups. Very unprofessional.
DO NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR GUITAR HERE. $370 IS OUTRAGEOUS.
I paid him $300 to make my BRAND NEW guitar unplayable 🙁
15. Little Mountain Winds
Address: 4365 Park Dr, San Bernardino, CA 92407 , Muscoy , California , United States
I brought in a fender strat with REALLY worn down frets that needed repair and pickups that needed replacing. Jack did a fantastic job and I’ve never had a better playing guitar. He even takes pictures of all the work he does step by step and even put the pictures the work on my flash drive. I’m definitely bringing back my other guitars to him for setup.
