Welp.. my name is Caine Dot & between Head engineers Joshua Marzz and my man Gen, these guys are too official. One I came to them with nothing but a plan and so far they’ve done nothing but execute as well as assist in the things I saw for myself. Made real family vibes almost instantly and I HIGHLY recommend my guys.
I like this place
5. Treasure Hunt Records and Collectibles
Address: 110 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720 , New Castle , Delaware , United States
My daughter started with Ms. Marcie and Piano Speaks this year. She absolutely loves it and has grown in her skill and confidence. I love the virtual aspect. It’s so convenient and encourages her to be independent. I highly recommend Piano Speaks for your child.
Ms. Marcy is awesome with the children. In only 5 months they could play 3 short versions of Christmas without needing their notes in front of them I highly recommend her services for piano lessons.
Ms.Marlayna is such an amazing piano instructor. My daughter has had a really great time learning from her. She is very patient with the children and affirms them alot. I would recommend her to anyone who is currently looking for a piano instructor. Thank you Ms. Marlayna for your dedication and passion to teaching our children to professionally play the piano.

Address: 5810-A, 5810 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808 , New Castle , Delaware , United States
good prices, great small spot. I would love to see shows come back after the beer bug is gone. if you like classical instruments this is more of a spot for you along with acoustic guitar. the amps selection is solid. Great sale on PRS guitars today btw
Very supportive staff and friendly.
They have music lessons as well
I went in to get a guitar amp and the guy helping was super helpful and nice! They have a lot of stuff and a nice store.
I’ve had good service at this store. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Nothing to write home about, but I did have a nice conversation with two of the guys that worked there and they shared some interesting insights on the manufacturing sales evolution over time, as well as dealing with other countries for business transactions.
Staff is awsome !
Not good…. I am new in town and looking for a new music store and when I arrived here the store was dirty with parts and equipment laying on the ground. Then when I found someone and asked about a mic stand they showed me they only had 1 which was way over priced for a cheap stand then when I went to ask another question I was ignored so I just left… I really wish I could have utilized this store instead of driving to guitar center 🙁
never had a problem going to this store before but today when I went to rent an instrument, the guy I asked for help (manger I guess?) had this attitude of there’s no way you can get this. First when I asked him for the instrument he said they didn’t have it ,then he found it. Then when I showed him my car he said there was no way the instrument would fit in there just by looking at it. I had to ask can we at least try and when we did it fit. Lastly when It came time to pay he wouldn’t let me proceed b/c I didn’t have a credit card which is understandable and fine but the tone he used and the way he talked to me was really not called for. The whole process I just felt like he didn’t want to give this instrument to me, it was as if he was trying to find every excuse in the book to not let me have the instrument ugh! I guess I’m mostly bothered by the way that he talked to me and his unwillingness to try everything he could to try and allow me to rent the instrument. Towards the end it a little better, he said he would hold the instrument for me but I don’t know about going there again, it was just bad customer service. I work in a place I have to deal with customers all the time and I never talk to them the way he talked to, I didn’t deserve to feel like there was no way I was ever going to get that instrument and that’s the way he made me feel. I don’t think he meant to make me feel that way but that is indeed how I felt after my visit today.
Called up with interest of purchasing a 3K-4K guitar they had online. Was willing to buy immediately. They were rude, short, and unorganized and actually acted like they didn’t have time to discuss it). I’m glad I didn’t purchase or move forward. You would think if someone was in the business of selling guitars for a living that a purchase “that large” would take priority over …I don’t know, selling $10 Ernie Ball Strings? or music CD’s.
Claimed they were ESP vendor, yet weren’t on the approved list (this info is available on ESP’s site). Wouldn’t send images of guitar close ups either (as opposed to hard to see online thumbnail). Red flags all point to some questionable practices going on here. Would recommend buyers to look elsewhere, and not take a chance with your $ here – too many fakes online, and sketchy practices – lots of legitimate guitar buying systems online as alternatives. Just because a seller has a web page, doesn’t mean that the purchase is legit . If you are checking reviews before purchase, then I am saving you time, money, and hassle – nothing to see here – move on!
10. Dollar General
Address: 730 Ferry Cut Off St, New Castle, DE 19720 , New Castle , Delaware , United States
Very fun and energetic shopping experience. We go here almost everyday. Every employee is very nice to not only my husband and I but our little girl and son! Great job 🙂 Val and Megan are the sweetest girls working there!! We truly enjoy coming here. Big thank you to the workers who bust their butts hauling these heavy bins and dealing with whiney customers.
Me encanta . Ropa excelente y a buen precio
Back to normal, no more waiting in line for a ticket and bell ringing every 90 seconds. One added plus is they make you leave the store when they switch the bins so there is less odds of getting run over when the new bins come out.
But like always, the New Castle GW Outlet is a sport. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a casual shopping experience. Try the Lancaster or Avondale GWO instead.
This is a goodwill outlet. It gets crazy as people will push and shove but if you have patience, it is a great place to find interesting treasure. Downside is, some people will shop from your cart so keep an eye on your cart and if you get something especially good, keep it away from prying eyes.
Unusual opportunity to look for treasures.
Picked up electronics for recycle. Took them 2 hrs to load. Cool people. Didn’t like one thing. Thats the way they loaded. Made big mess in the trailer especially at the end of the loading.
extremely tight to back into docks
I showed up at 10:20 a.m and they had people just standing outside in the feeezing cold!!! The website and door says we open at 10:00am. It is cruel and not worth it to have humans standing out in the freezing when we are the reason Goodwill is even in business!!!!!! . That is horrible customer service. No customers no business. Won’t be back
The supervisor is very rud, she was complaining about anything, she discriminate me because I had a child and ask me to leave, when I refused she start complaining about not leaving my shopping cart alone even I need to grab something from my wife that was one row ahead me and much more hard time… I don’t recommend this place when this supervisor is there.
12. THE GREAT I-AM Production Studio
Address: 25 Rose Ln, New Castle, DE 19720 , New Castle , Delaware , United States
Super friendly and my daughter loves going to her piano lessons.
Matt and his guys are very knowledgeable and friendly! I will be driving all the up from Smyrna just to work with them from now on!! Highly recommend this place!
tldr; Visited the store for the first time, impressed by the customer service, sales person was never pushy or tried to upsell, listened to my request and needs, walked out with a piano and the discovery of an amazing store that really seems to appreciate your business and your visits!
This place is amazing, the staff… these guys really know how to make you feel welcomed.
I was in there about a day ago for the first time looking to buy a digital piano as someone who has never played a piano at all and all I felt was love and support and the passion of the staff helping me pick one.
I know what you’re thinking (This guy probably got upsold like crazy for being a newb) and trust me I’m really not that novice when it comes to spend my money, being an eBay seller and what not I HAVE to see where the best deals are with any decision I make regarding my money.
Before I went to the store I did countless hours of research on their online store and all over the internet ( I’m not the easiest person to convince to make a purchase).
After standing there for about 20 minutes doing a little more research on the pianos that were available in the store I could not make up my mind, I did not want a crappy super entry level piano but I also did not want to spend more than I needed to get started.
My requirements were simple,
Sensitive to touch keys
weighted keys
digital
I already knew that Sensitive touch keys were mainly available after a certain price range just like the weighted keys, so I knew I wanted a piano in the 200-350 range to get everything I needed before I even walked in there.
When I began talking to the staff at first I was thinking in my head, “Let’s see how this jerk tries to upsell me, I’ve done my research and I’ll only be paying 5-10% more of what it would cost online on whatever I get” Of course I consider myself and avid merchant and thus this is how I think… of course I don’t know this person the “jerk” thing is just a figure of speech. Well I was incredibly surprised by this staff member or sale associate? Anyway, he walked up to me and asked if I needed help I explained to him my lack of experience (usually a mistake when buying locally, keep this a secret most sales people work on commission and will try to upsell… hence my expectations stated above) but I was surprised this guy listened to me and he never used the word “Should” or “Have to” and that was impressive! I was blown away. This guy felt like a long lost friend, he truly cared about my expectations and my budget and the patience was incredible he even put the piano in my car.
Conclusion
If you want too feel welcomed and informed about making a purchase of any instrument I’d say visit this store, these guys seem like the kind of people that will talk to you and give you advice even if you don’t buy anything from them. Think of this place as a mom and pops business were the employees actually care and want to listen to you and your needs (musically). I give this business all the thumbs up I can.
Appears to be primarily focused on school music.
Wonderful store
Nice staff! Nice instruments, some violins, chellos, stingray basses, music courses. Very nice music store
Poor service and rude employees. Not worth the time, go somewhere else
Terrible service. My girlfriend takes her son here for guitar and the teacher stood them up 5 different times and they didn’t reimburse her for 3 of those 5 classes. There staff told her son not to attend the class on 12/21/18 and his mother called to confirm this and the staff member failed to contact her back and when the teacher showed up to teach the lesson he decided he was not going to refund the lesson. When I say stood them up 5 times I’m not saying he called them 20 minutes before and said hey I can’t make it. I’m talking about them driving 45 minutes away just to find out the guy isn’t even there and failed to tell anyone. Is this good customer service? Is this fair ? You charge people 30 dollars for a half an hour and you don’t even show up?
This low rating is not a reflection of the Kirkwood Highway store personnel but rather Music & Arts Corporate and their “customer service”. We have been a customer of the store for years including lessons, instrument purchases and instrument service and repair. Everyone we’ve ever dealt with IN THE STORE has been lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. At the beginning of the summer we signed up for weekly lessons for half of June plus July and August in preparation for marching band season. I cancelled, in store, (on August 13th)our weekly lesson effective end of August and specifically requested that the auto debit be cancelled effective immediately as we had already paid for August. In spite of that we were charged for lessons for the month of September. I called the store immediately and was told they had cancelled the lessons on their end but were experiencing issues with a new company-wide system. They put through a request for a refund that day. After a week I called the store again and told them the money had not been refunded. They assured me it had been reported to corporate and that was all they could do from their end. Today I called the corporate number and experienced the worst possible customer service. The woman was cranky and short with me right off the bat and would only tell me that a refund would take 4 weeks. When I asked why she said, “that’s our policy”. She had not bothered to ask my name, my location or any dates. When I requested confirmation that the refund was in process she reluctantly took my information and treated me like I had interrupted her lunch break. And then, she told me she couldn’t tell me anything, had no idea if my refund request had been made, told me to wait 4 weeks and call back. When I said that wasn’t a good enough answer she told me I’d have to call the store. So, total waste of time, including the 15 minute wait on hold. I did call the store back and though they were apologetic they could not do much as they have no control over the refund process. Kevin, the store manager, took all my info again and said he would email the lesson coordinator and his district manager and would let me know if he had any further information. I understand this has happened to a number of customers which is outrageous. In this day and age how can a large corporation not be able to timely cancel an auto deduction or at least have a system to log refund requests and be able to tell you if the request has been received? Further, why the hell would it take 4 weeks to refund my money? Absolutely unacceptable. I can’t imagine we would deal with Music & Arts again and certainly would not recommend the company which is a shame because the employees and teachers are great. Seriously, who wants to deal with illegitimate automatic deductions from your bank account???For that matter who wants to loan M & A’s $150. (interest free) for a month at a time??? Imagine if you had 2 or 3 students and were out $300-400 for that amount of time?!? Ridiculous!
15. Guitar Center
Address: 5141 Brandywine Pkwy, Wilmington, DE 19803 , New Castle , Delaware , United States
Awesome place. My daughter loves going here. She can play all the guitars she wants to see which one she like the most. They never rush you into a purchase and always make sure you are really satisfied.
Place to go
Great time shopping at guitar center. The sales associate Diane was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!
Good customer service.
Smaller then other ones I’ve been to, and was hard to get service. But when we did they were nice. Got a pretty good deal on a drum set.
Helpful staff. Pro audio needs upgrade
Horrible customer service
Waited for 20 mins for assistance and no one came. You Just lost 10k sale.
Sad to say, the place looks like it’s going out of business….not much of a guitar selection, not much of an amp selection and the store looks dirty and worn out.
