Les has one of the best music stores around. It’s full of great vintage and new gear at reasonable prices. I’ve purchased several items from Blue Moon Music and will continue to do business with Les. He knows his gear and is a fine musician as well. Go check him out in person. I do wish they had a good website that displayed all his current gear.
Les is the ONLY person I trust with my guitars. After restoring a childhood keepsake guitar 15 years ago, I have never looked elsewhere for service and advice!
In addition, you can find guitars and amps here that you will not find anywhere else. There is more knowledge here than you will find in 50 chain store employees combined!
Great place!
It cool
I got a Fender blues Jr. amp fixed here last year and payed $60 for the work. A few weeks later the amp stopped working so I called the shop and the owner told me that they don’t guarantee their work. I took the amp to another store and spent another $60 to have it worked on again. Take care of your customers and they will come back.
Perfect place for valve oil, slide grease and stuff like that. They have somebody who speaks in spanish which is also a plus.
Always very helpful. Some hard to find items too.
Clean store, nice staff.
Pretty great selection of instruments, however I felt extremely awkward with the staff and felt like my questions were intrusions. You could chalk this up to me just being anxious, but I would have much more appreciated an employee who could recommend stuff to me, and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ll be going to A different shop to get what I need
When I got there I was excited to be buying a ukulele something I’ve been wanting since I was little and when I asked how much taxes were because $82 up from the $54 seemed outrageous the man said idk and didn’t even check it just took an extra $21 and when I was asking questions about other instruments he had. No information literally making me. Still waiting on the money to be back in my account had to go to bed hungry tonight
Awful service. Bought strings for my guitar, and since im not very good at putting them on and they were the most expensive strings, i left my guitar for them to put the strings on for me bc they said theyd do it for free and that they would call me within a day or so. I waoted almsot a week and figured that i must have missed the call and went there to get my guitar. They hadnt even touched it and told me that it would be several more days before they could get to it. I just went ahead and took my guitar. Never getting my business again im just gonna go to guitar center.

Exceptional service, great prices, wide array of products to choose from In-store (and online)
Wonderful staff that is very helpful. Good selection.
Pretty small compared to the other ones I have been to. Nothing really special inside, the only amps I saw were the used amps.
This place was okay but I feel that the kind of store they are they should be more informative. I felt like I knew more than the gentleman that I was talking to, and I don’t consider myself to be greatly knowledgeable on that subject. I was looking for a battery-powered acoustic amp. I thought there would be some kind of selection seeing as how I went from my small town to a large town with a big brand name guitar store. There wasn’t. I found out more by talking to my local small guitar store. But maybe I’m asking too much.
Very helpful staff. Good selection. Prices on some(not all)are a little too high. My used Epiphone cost the same as a new one.
Good
I paid, and the dude just shoved my brand new cymbal in a plastic bag, with all the other stuff I bought. After doing some research, it seems this is SOP for GC. Sucks they are pretty much the only game in town. Their prices are good, though.
Poor service. Literally ignored me to talk to men that weren’t even purchasing anything.
Sexist- cooler-than-you store attitude

Stopped at this store and found a huge selection of guitars and amps. Went back again and landed in the middle of a great jam session. Nice place friendly people and lots of great talent stops by!
Amazing store!! They are super helpful and friendly. Bought a guitar there recently and while they were helping me they were also showing my young piano player some of the keyboards. Best shop in NWA
This place and the team are amazing and very knowledgeable.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
Friendly’s staff knows equipment.
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Went in looking for DJing equipment to start a new hobby. Got laughed at and was told this store is for real musicians. Went in thinking I could get advice and assistance on starting up a new hobby and instead got pushed out with no tips or advice to start this hobby. Defiantly taking my business elsewhere.
Paid Remix $135.00 to put a new but bad Fender neck on my guitar. I Sent the bad neck back to Fender. They said it was warped on the 10th fret. Fender replaced the neck. Now Remix tech want’s me to pay again to install new neck. He knew the first neck was bad when he worked on it. My opinion is not good for Remixes Fender tech. The advise their tech Andy gave me, was to find someone else to install the neck.
This is not the kind of attitude one would expect from anyone representing a company as reputable as Fender.
I’ve played Fender Telecasters for 50 years. Had a lot of them worked on.
Never have I been treated as as poorly or rudely as I was at Remix Music. I’m sorry to have to leave this less than favorable post. But this is the way it happened.
Horrible experience at this place, I was sold a Trumpet that was WAY over priced, When I went to go and try to receive a refund I was told I should of been charged a cleaning fee as well. The owner did not process my refund correctly and I was told go deal with it with my bank. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A HEADACHE OR TO BE RIPPED OFF.

Over the summer, I purchased a Getzen Super Deluxe trumpet. It was in pretty poor shape. The valves did not work, the bell was basically ruined. I dragged it in to Corey Divine, the brass tech at Palen, and asked him what he could do. He gave me a detailed rundown, and we set a budget to work with. I took delivery of the horn this week, and wow. Corey fixed it up to a level I wasn’t sure was possible. Palen is very responsive to communication and very knowledgeable about the repairs and work that they are doing on the horns. I’ll be returning to Palen for all of my instrumental repair needs.
Nice customer service!!
Very friendly people! A great help!!
Very informative and easy to work with
They didn’t have the trumpet I wanted but they got me the best trumpet now we just wait for about a few day and that’s it
Friendly and careful repair. Would give 5 Stars if a more affordable option/tier of instrument was available to increase accessibility. We rent to own and carry insurance, paying about $45 a month for each instrument.
Thoroughly disappointed. The lady who greeted me behind the counter seemed displeased I was there from the moment I walked in. She was quick to inform me that they “dont do repairs on guitars” And they had no “Acoustic” Bass Strings. I’m not even sure she took the time to understand what I was looking for. Huge misunderstanding on my end I guess, because their website lead me to believe they repair musical instruments, specifically string instruments. There was no bold or fine print saying “we don’t do repairs on guitars”. Hours later I received a message request via Facebook from a man claiming to have “worked” at Palen music. I am not sure how he found me on there which is very unsettling. He wanted to send me free things provided i give him an address I am sure. This entire experience is very uncomfortable and creepy. Do not recommended leaving a bad review because they will track you down. How unprofessional can you be?
I did not want to provide contact information for a relative in case I don’t make my payments. There was no other option when renting from Palen. I think it’s wrong to want to hit up extended family if I don’t keep my committments.
I took my flute to Palen Music in Springdale, AR for a Key and pad adjustment on January 22, 2021. They said the instrument will be kept in quarantine for 3 days, then they will look at it. They took my credit card info, gave me a receipt and Left. Latter part of the next week I called to see if my instrument is ready to pick up. They said the flute is not ready because they wanted to give me an estimate before fixing it. She gave me the estimate on the phone and said we call you when it is ready. I did not hear from anyone the next week and I called back. They said it takes usually two weeks to repair, so we ‘ll have it by Thursday and call you. Thursday, I did not hear from anyone. I called on Friday and asked them if my flute was ready. After a long wait she came back and said the instrument is not ready and it will be next week. At that time, I told them I am picking up my instrument since it has been exactly three weeks to this day. She Also let me know that they already had charged my credit card. When I got there, they had not issued me the credit. After waiting another 20 minutes for that, they told me they can’t get hold of the accountant to issue the credit at this time but they will send it to my email account. I picked up my instrument on 2/12/’21 and left. A bad experience for me.

in a word – Solid! there is nothing like a stave snare fine tuned by Zac Coger, if you are a serious drummer in this area you need one, if for no other reason, to say you own a NWA original Buffalo Drum!
9. Nielsen Woodwinds

Worst Reeds I have ever played on. I would rather play on a Jones reed than spend $20 on one that makes every note sound like winking terror, and adjusting couldn’t salvage the poor thing.
After posting this review they sent me a replacement reed, and I am more than happy with it! Thank you for such great service!
I purchase oboe reeds for my daughter from their website. The reeds are high quality and sound great! We have been very happy with Edmund Nielsen for oboe reeds!
I buy reeds online from this store. I have been very happy with their oboe reeds, and I especially enjoy the detailed descriptions of each kind of reed. Whenever I call the store, the staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable. When the reeds are in stock, sometimes they even ship them out the same day! Very good service, if there is a dud in the order. Thank you for making oboe reed buying enjoyable!
Really takes time to work with the artist instead of sitting behind a keyboard looking bored. Gave Interaction & suggestions to me on my music worked with me to get a good final product. Would definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience working with Eric, Stephen and the team! They are quick to respond, and very knowledgeable, exhibiting a friendly and helpful disposition. The movers were also very gentlemanly, helpful and professional as well. We love our beautiful grand piano that now graces our Living Room!
Couldn’t have had a better experience with Daniel and the crew at Steinway. Professional, attentive, and provided us a beautiful Baby Grand. Highly recommend!
When it was time to upgrade my office piano there was no question where to look. Stephen is a world class piano technician and has been an invaluable resource in helping to maintain the pianos under my care. Daniel was super helpful and answered all of my questions quickly and succinctly. They were both understanding and supportive as I moved through the purchasing process but never pressured me. As I searched for the perfect piano they were more teammates than anything else.
Great atmosphere and so many different records to choose from and look through.
Great little record store. If you seek hard to find Albums, you found the place. Cassettes, CD’s are also well stocked. Friendly music-orientated staff. Good prices. Worth the visit.
Fantastic record store.
It’s organized more to encourage patrons to spend time there than to help them find a specific artist. Having said that, the selection seemed reasonably diverse.
To be fair, I didn’t ask for help. But there are some artists, like alt-J, that are hard to narrow down to a genre. Folktronica? It would be convenient if there were an electronic catalogue so you could look up an artist or album to see if it’s in stock and where it might be located.
Awesome collection!
My go-to record shop to fuel my vinyl addiction! Great selection and great staff!
They have hard to find stuff but it’s all over priced.
Customer service is not great. The guy just seems to be stand-offish to me.
I went in here a few years ago looking for a few titles to add to my collection. The staff or owner/manager had this “I’m better than you” smugness about them. Wasn’t feeling the vibe. It’d be a little more welcoming if you got a “hi, thanks for stopping in” or “hi, welcome in” and not have someone make eye contact with you and not say anything.
