I really appreciate the customer service and variety they have to offer. I think some of the bad reviews are by people who are used to shopping in big box stores in bigger cities; they also seem inconsiderate of the small business owner’s perspective. They were honest with me and didn’t try to get me to pay for anything I didn’t need, when somewhere like Guitar Center probably would. I’m glad this small business is here when there is so much competition from big box companies that rip people off. The people that work here are very helpful, attentive and kind. The man did walk around the store with me and asked me questions while we walked to better help me. I just thought maybe they’ve had problems with shoplifting in the past and when they have so much competition that serves a two-fold purpose because they can’t afford the loss: its providing customer service and loss prevention. Sorry someone else took it so personally.
Great service. Have been doing business with Danny for years. Would recommend yo anyone.
This guy set me up with some pretty good strings on my acoustic.glad I took his advice cause it has a real nice carry ring to it now.
Danny is a really good guy but he could do a little better on his prices but all an all he’s a really good guy! Nice shopping experience
Great selection, but don’t expect to touch anything unless you commit to buying something beforehand. How in the world can you do business like that? Walked in looking for a nice, higher end, acoustic, which they have, and was met with an ultimatum of buying the instrument before I even touched it. Puhhlease.
The four stars is for the very friendly young staff*
Staff is dishonest. I do not like the general attitude of the employee, the pressure to buy extras, or the attitude that they have superior knowledge. I ended up not making a purchase, and will do my business elsewhere.
The owner was really pushy trying to make a sale. I told him exactly what I wanted, he wouldn’t listen. He kept pushing me to buy something that cost twice as much.
Finally I left. I will make my purchase elsewhere.
Dear Danny. You seem to forget that we can purchase products online with free shipping and return them if we don’t like it. Your store rules are too much and your staff is too high pressure. The only reason to visit the store is to try the product in person. Your rules hinder this and therefore ruins your business. We are not bulls in a china shop. We are your customers. (We used to be your customers)

Everyone love Walmart, best prices, self checkout. Always convenient
Clean friendly services.
Wal-Mart is the best!
Love the clearance isle
Always busy but usually we’ll stocked
The store was clean, well stocked and the employees were great. The only reason I can’t give five stars is there were no open cashier’s. Self checkout only. I hope this is not permanent. I’m kinda old school. I like using a cashier to check out.
Can’t get help lady in women’s wear was rude called let phone ring no-one answered shelves messy cloths unfolded bunched up on shelves
They will not return product after they opened it because it is open then proceed to say they watched cameras saying that all the product went back into the box and not all the product was in the box when I got home.
I never saw any holiday helpers
5. All Star Music Center
Address: 3981 Athens Hwy, Loganville, GA 30052 , Newton , Georgia , United States
John is a wizard…He has worked on 3 of my guitars and has made them all sound like new…All Star Rocks…I’m a customer for life or until John expires..LOL…you can give him a stick and a shoe string and he will tune it up…MUCH LOVE ALL STAR
Very helpful, I had no idea u could tune ur guitar with an app on ur phone
Great staff
Tienda pequena pero buen servicio
Great owner; he didn’t perform the type of repair I needed for violin, but he contacted his buddy who made the repairs for less than $80.
John is always really helpful but the other guy gives the cold shoulder alot of the time. Overall though, great store.
I’ve been here 3 times during store hours. nobody at the store go to another shop.
Place needs to just close! doubt me, go see what I’m talking about.
Literally 4:08pm on a Saturday I show up. They were not open. Sign on the door says 10am-6pm. Very disappointed.
6. Attina’s Music Store Inc
Address: 155 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, GA 30253 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Very knowledgeable regarding music and equipment. Had what we needed thanks guitar stand and guitar pick
Russ knowledge and expertise helped my students’ parent decide on what flute to purchase. What a great day!
Friendly service .
Not enough selection.
Has or can get you anything you need
They were friendly, but we kinda felt they were stand offish because my husband was asking all kinds of questions and we kinda felt that they was tired of being asked the many questions that my husband asked. They had a low selection of items and we felt that we was being pushed out of the store because he asked us a few times if we was ready to check out. So after a few times of being asked we checked out and left. Not sure if we will be going back or if we will make the hour trip to Fayetteville for all of our needs.
7. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Jackson’s repair artist, Doug, recently rebuilt my Selmer Mark VI. I say artist because Doug took the job to a level which surpasses just a collection of new parts being installed and rather added an organic component that only a caring professional with a mindset of a job meeting a standard only they are able to lay eyes to and understand. Doug certainly meets and surpasses the highest of modern professional repair standards and has my highest recommendation.
Chad was very helpful.
English
I like this stores. You can saw variety of instruments. And if you want take music classes of any instrument, this is the place. You can found different types of instruments. (Wind, Percussion, string, etc.)
Employees know there job but convenience is a -1
We have appreciated Jackson music for years, Joey the owner is very nice. I could not get my Mic to get sound out of it so the employee was helping me out Saturday,, he said try these cables and let’s see what happens,, it did not work because the problem was in my floor sound box,, gain was turned down. , I brought back my cables on Monday and different employee said it looks like you probably used them all weekend and now bringing them back? I said no that’s not the issue, he’s giving me Grief on $20 cables for 20 minutes,, wants restocking fee lol, I said to him this is bs, than he said he not going to refund me because I’m cursing him , I was no way shape or form cursing him,, he took $5 out for restocking fee,, pathetic
Rude! Told them I was just looking around at the moment and was laughed at…. shameful behavior by talentless jokes!
I called to see if they could do a repair on my son’s flute. They said to bring it in, they could do it but would charge an extra
20% for a rush job. I dropped it off and called in the next day to see if the repairs had been done, as my son had a Christmas concert he needed it for. I got Doug the repair man on the phone. He said he doesn’t do rush jobs and he was way to busy to deal with it. He treated me very unprofessional and they honestly don’t care about keeping anyone’s business. Please don’t waste your time here as I did.
8. Ponce De Leon Music Center
Address: 1060 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Friendly staff with a great selection of musical instruments. Different than other musical stores I’ve been to and had a welcoming family feel to it.
Happy to support a local music store. Friendly staff with a good selection of instruments and audio stuff.
Really cool local shop with a great selection of new and used gear. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable when approached. I was impressed with the selection of used instruments on hand when I walked in. Well worth checking out.
Muy surtido y los precios muy razonable
Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Pricing was a bit high but id do business there again.
Great music store! The prices are pretty high, but they are very helpful.
The customer service is awful I definitely won’t be back there every again
Had to make a quick stop to grab a few things. I know it was closing time. I was trying to make it quick. When they started harassing my husband reminding him when they close he left and we took our business somewhere else. Customers want to feel welcomed, not reminded how unfortunate you are to have to lock the door right at 5:00.
9. Firehouse Guitars & Music
Address: 612 Medlock Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 , Newton , Georgia , United States
A very nice store thats familly owned and always happy to help.
In and out. Know what I needed. Unless otherwise they don’t try to sell u unless u buy on plan
my sax works now
Great experience and the employees with was super friendly
Less freedom then other music stores of the top of my head how about ” guitar center” which if you google it you will find it is
no-less then 10-11 drive which is not such a bad thing when they actually allow you to pick up the instruments but besides that IT IS JUST OK IF THAT’S WHAT YOU. LIKE.
Good store
Guy was on phone the whole time…and we waited. Not sure this is the norm but it was my one and only visit
Expensive, great variety
It was obvious that my presence was causing discomfort to the manager/cashier/whatever. I was not allowed to play a certain Epiphone Les Paul (not even a Gibson) because ‘they wanted to keep it clean’. I am a frikin professional guitarist with 11 years of experience and no music stores have ever denied me of handling an instrument. Highly offending for a first time visitor’s impression.
Go to Guitar Center and avoid this place, you’ll be glad you did.
11. Paulding Music Center
Address: 10175 Dallas Acworth Hwy # 121, Dallas, GA 30132 , Newton , Georgia , United States
This place is great!! The staff and store are perfect! Got my bass set up for an incredible price and fast. Definitely made a customer for life today!
Friendly and knowledgeable. Great service!
Super cool guys working there! Helped me out with exactly what I needed and were very knowledgeable. Even gave me a free shirt! I will definitely go back and they offer lessons for my son too. Thanks Paulding Music Center!
Love this place and love the staff. Prefer to go here for instrument needs and repairs over Ken Stanton. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I really wish they would keep at least a small supply of basic AV accessories such as XLR/DMX cables and Gaffer tape. Lots of my local AV comrades and I would be in there often for that stuff! But that’s the only thing I can whine about. Lol.
For the person who was complaining about being charged for not showing up to a lesson …. seriously? This is no different than not showing up for a doctor’s appointment or not giving at least 24 hours notice. This is how these instructors make a living and that spot is reserved specifically for you or your child. Even if you have a good reason for not showing up, like a family emergency, you should still rightfully be expected to pay for that reservation, as it means a loss of income for a teacher. Would you be OK with your employer unexpectedly shorting you money that you were expecting to pay bills with, regardless of their reason?
Great customer service and good and understanding staff
Their rentals come with repairs (at least that’s what I got)
Went there today to start a free week trial…the class was canceled and the manger didn’t really make effort to convince us to join. It was a group of us trying to find a gym to work out after work. The gym to under new management since December and there was alot of out of order signs. If your going to be the highest price around and your only saleing point is your open 24 hours…which so is everybody else…just a let down because I heard good things…
Do not shop here, don’t bother asking for shipping either they won’t do it. They make Facebook listings than ignore customers after denying purchase.
I hate that I had to give at least one star, there should be a no star button. I had mostly positive experiences here until this point. I bought a Planet Waves instrument cable from this establishment and it was defective. Granted it has been about 4 months, I asked to make an even exchange and they said, “No. You have to get with Planet Waves.” In order to get any help from Planet Waves I have a receipt. They have a record that I bought it, but won’t give me one. I can’t do business with a company that doesn’t back up its inventory.
12. Music & Arts
Address: 308 City Cir #1420, Peachtree City, GA 30269 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Terrell your amazing my dude thanks for all your information on the violin
You were a 5 star experience by yourself and I wish you the best.
Called and talked to Patrick about my son’s saxophone. He was very professional and knowledgeable; had answers to all my questions. Traveling from Carrollton, he held an instrument for us until we got there! Thanks for your excellent customer service.
Had a Bach Stradivarius trumpet overhauled, cleaned, refurbished before I sold it. The service was not cheap, but the quality of the work was superb! The 24-year old horn looked almost brand new after chemical flush and re-work of valves, slides, as well as dent removal, and polish. It sold very quickly and a potential buyer, who happened to be a former professional musician, commented on how well it was serviced. Was very glad that I spent the money to have it serviced before it sold.
I wouldn’t say it’s the most amazing selection, but the staff are quite nice and the prices aren’t terrible. Descent local music shop
I have been there years ago.
The staff and employee was good but the guiter instructor was so bad old white men. For my experience, one day i wanted tell him I want to quick. And I said that. And then he walks around us and said to me ” I am a good teacher…” I have right to quit my lesson and he do not have right to treared me. It was so bad happen and I very frastrate that he still there.
Item priced 9.99 & 1.99 each and I was charged 34.99 and 10.99 respectively at the register. They refused to honor the price marked by their code on the packaging. Dishonest & unethical.avoid.
Buyer beware….I am very disappointed and feel deceived by the store manager, John Gomez, in Peachtree City. I came in this week on 9/29/21 to look at drum sets for my son’s 13th birthday the following day. We looked at three different sets they had. He recommended either the Tama set or the Pearl roadshow set. I liked both but what sold me on the Pearl set is that he said it came with the three Zildjian cymbals, the high-hat, ride and crash. So I came back after talking to my son about it to make sure that’s what he wanted for his 13th birthday. He confirmed so I went back on 10/1/21 to purchase the set. John also recommended the silencing set when I asked him about quieting the drums down. He stated that the drum mute box set would fit the three toms, the snare, and the three cymbals. The problem is….when we got home and we put the drums together, we soon noticed the pads did not fit. The main reason is we had different cymbals than what we were told. We also had no high-hat or stand for a high-hat. The cymbals were not Zildjian either. I went into the store this morning to ask John what happened. Right away he stated that he made a mistake and that set didn’t come with Zildjian cymbals. When I reminded him that he said they did and that he also stated that the set included a high-hat, he recalled the conversation. It’s like he knew all along that he was selling me the wrong set or deceiving me. I asked what he was going to do about this but he said there was nothing he could do. Just make sure what you are buying as their advertising and manager (John Gomez) was very deceptive….and had no desire to make it right.
We tried to have on-going lessons for 3 of my family members, with three different instruments. This has been one of the least professional places I have experienced. Lessons were changed, they were cancelled on us the day of, our instructor would show up late. I can’t even describe all of the ways this store has been disappointing. When I went in to cancel all three sets of lessons and get a refund on gift cards, the manager didn’t ask any questions why or even care as to why they were losing three on-going lesson students. One instructor was trying to get the lessons at his home instead of the studio. Please be aware! Try another music place for lessons.
13. B2K Music
Address: 490 F, Bankhead Hwy, Carrollton, GA 30117 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Staff was very helpful, answered questions, and gave recommendations.
The perfect small-town store with a great combination of variety in stock and helpful staff. People there pay attention to what you say, and are able to direct you to what YOU need….not what THEY need to SELL you. Very open-minded people will listen to what you have to say, and give you options you may not think of yourself. One of my favorite places on Earth.
Excellent experience. I asked for the cheapest microphone to get me by and I was extremely surprised by the quality of the product. Also purchased a mic stand which was equally as nice, especially considering its price. This is a quality store.
Awesome people knows what they are talking about and very friendly
Dog to greet you… my kid is a little timid around animals so the barking came close to making us leave. The not being greeted was another miss, but I am a glutton for punishment…. I did make a purchase but don’t think I’ll be going back for anything…. just not as outgoing or friendly as we are accustomed to… some times we get comfortable because we have a monopoly, no other business in a close proximity. And new people don’t matter…I want to say, we should all matter and one shouldmake every effort that clients and customers know they are appreciated. Also “all sales final” after paying was a little out of order…. that only came out because I asked while being rang up what happens if something is wrong … but you get the idea. Don’t go with big expectations and you should be okay.
I dropped my guitar off to have is set up and couldn’t be happier with their work. It’s a 20 year old guitar that needed some TLC and they took care of what was needed while making suggestions on what wasn’t. This is how business should be run, imo. B2K are friendly, knowledgeable and offer good work at fair prices.
Their gear prices are a little higher than what you can
find online but this is to be expected today. I prefer to support local businesses. 4 out of 5, only because I don’t give 5 stars and there isn’t a 4.5. Hehe
Awful, awful, awful! The guys who work there are the most unprofessional, unhelpful, people I have ever met! They were extremely rude and just flat out deuchebags!
I’ll never, ever shop there again. Period.
They’re way overpriced, and they know it. But it doesn’t matter if you have money or not if they don’t like either going to snub you. Very very stick in the ashes, type atmosphere
I wouldn’t recommend them

Address: 186 Banks Crossing, Fayetteville, GA 30214 , Newton , Georgia , United States
I want to extend a huge thank you to Big Brian for there are 2 Brian’s employed at this location. His quality services and ensuring I was a happy customer was nothing less than outstanding!
I was looking for XLR to SCA Cables and his expertise on the subject was Awesome!
Levi Que
Inside the store have great deals
Great staff, very knowledgeable off each and every instrument and Jordyn is by far the best drum salesman ever. His knowledge surpasses his years.
I’ve mainly only gone to the music production sections. Dealing with MIDI controllers and microphones the staff seemed knowledgeable, and they weren’t pushy about trying to make a sell, which is always a plus.
I went there on my birthday a few months ago and I was looking for an acoustic bass. After looking around, I discovered an Epiphone Les Paul red sunburst model and it was absolutely beautiful, and at such a fair price! After I snagged that up, I headed into the acoustic room. There were people practicing. The whole store is so alive and filled with music. I seek out an employee and he was the whole reason I am writing this review. Nicest guy you could find. I told him I was looking for an acoustic bass for around 200$. He pointed me to a pillar with many of them hanging up. I chose a Dean 4 stringer beige bass. He asked me what kind of music I was playing and I said Metallica. After some small talk about it he played a riff from Orion on it. My mom was dismayed and said the only reason she was spending the 500$ was because it was my birthday. After we checked out he asked me if I wanted some cases and I sadly had to refuse, but as we were leaving he walked us to the door while other employees waved us goodbye and wished me a happy birthday. This guitar center has a large variety, fair prices, nice employees, and great appeal. I recommend this to anybody.
Very long wait to see and purchase items behind the counter.
This location is HORRIBLE!The employees here are mad…maybe unhappy with their jobs…..who cares, but this is your job!!If you are so miserable with answering questions in customer service, which is part of your JOB, THEN find another job!!! 2021 customer has gone downhill.
Walked around entire store and not ene employee offered to help or acknowledged that we were in the store. One was busy texting and the others just didn’t seem to give a damn
Tried to do an online order for pickup early in the day. By one hour to closing, order still not picked up. Went to the store and tge response was it’s not ready yet. Its not like they have to make it. All i needed was for them to go into the store and bring my equipment out instead of having to drive 30 minutes back here tomorrow for the same thing. Im truly very disappointed!!!

Taylor-814ce-SB-DLX —- Blessed and Happy!!
Zack and Jesse, Thank you so much for every little thing that you two did to make this purchase sound and easy. DSM Zack went above and beyond to give me the guitar of my dream. I highly recommend anybody who is trying to get any musical instrument to the Ken Stanton Music. Their service is rich and enormous.
My story: I was looking for a Taylor 714ce Sunburst guitar. I didn’t get the exact guitar that I wanted but Zack helped me to get 814ce-Sunburst-DLX in very discounted price. These guitars were very limited. They even helped me with rebates, financing and all. They wanted me to save money from every way possible. I encouraged every individuals who is looking to get an instrument to check out their deals and their advice. They treat and take care of their customer in a very well manner.
Staff was really helpful and friendly!
Great! Everytime I leave I end up thinking…
What a well run businesss.
What a polite and professional crew.
I look forward to going again.
Smaller than the one on Cobb parkway. Friendly staff. No complaints. Just a pretty limited selection.
Wasn’t able to be in this store for 5 minutes trying to find my 4 year old an instrument to learn without two of the employees hounding him to not touch anything. As a professional musician trust me I have my son trained to be careful around expensive instruments. I also picked up a guitar to play and think about purchasing it but the guy told me they are supposed to bring it down and hand it to me, I said I know how to handle a guitar and he says “not a $1,300 guitar” I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I find it hard to believe a store would go out of their way to lose a potential sale. I live in Carrollton Georgia so I don’t get out there much and I asked to exchange an un-used microphone I purchased from them (over 90 days ago) for another item. They told me no. That’s basically it. Who says that to a potential customer? I know your starving for business but ok I’ll purchase elsewhere from now on. I like companies that are interested in my business. I recommend Willcutt guitars
Staff is helpful to get the sale but be careful… Merchandise is expensive and there’s no returns because of Covid. They don’t tell you about that detail before you spend your money!
17. Atlanta Discount Music
Address: 3514 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341 , Newton , Georgia , United States
Awesome guys. Especially good used selection. Great pedals too. Best store in Atlanta.
This is the best guitar store in Atlanta. The guys that work there are great and the store has a great variety of new and used gear. This place is like to Cheers of music stores in Atlanta. After you go here a few times everybody knows your name.
Nice family owned business in chamblee. Came here to have my guitar strung and purchase a tuner. All together everything was about $38. They have a family dog that greets you at the door (which made my day because I love animals). Everyone there was very friendly and they even offer guitar lessons.
They have their own parking lot which doesn’t seem to ever be full. Its very easy to get in and out of.
Great place to hang out and try out some cool stuff. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Pretty cool guys.
Ok people
They weren’t very friendly or helpful with what I was looking for. Their prices are actually higher than most other places I’ve been in. My advice would be to shop for your musical items somewhere else.
Don’t drop your amp here for repair. Paid close to $200 and when I got home, the amp still didn’t work. Total rip-off
It’s a neat store. It’s a small local place with a somewhat limited selection. I didn’t think the prices were all that great based on their new guitars and the staff didn’t find me interesting enough to ask me if I needed anything even though this one guy saw me coming in. Oh, well.

These guys were great. Shout out to Eric. He responded quickly to every single question I had.
They kept me up to date on their inventory selection. Terrific customer service. They have the best prices out there.
My first time shopping with Jen Stanton Music but, I’ll definitely be a returning customer! 5 stars!
Best Music store in the South East!!! Great customer service both phone and in person. Picked up a Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul and had several to choose from! Store is loaded with stock (guitars, effects, etc.)!!! I drove 4 hours from Tallahassee FL to get this guitar. Worth the trip!!!!!! My new go to store for all music needs!!!
Great things
Nice place, nice workers, but, sometimes, the prices are higher than Guitar Center on the same products.
Recently started teaching myself guitar, after over 30 years owning one and never learning. My guitar needed new strings and they explained how to install them. Didn’t try to sell me anything else, although I’m sure they would’ve been more than happy to. Recently went into a Guitar Center and got horrible service; false advertising issue. I will return to Ken Stanton Music whenever necessary.
Ordered a guitar in 7/22. Got it on 8/5. Great guitar, customer service not so good.
Bought from them before. Went in with my daughter and God forbid a fledgling musician touch something. It’s not like she was beating on instruments. She was hardly touching them. If I can’t have polite customer service I might as well shop online.
Do not rent from this location has no idea what they doing got my payment all messed up and now owe them they employee mistakes
Service is insanely expensive. Out of touch with value of instruments. Strange $1 estimate charge. Why bother?
19. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Newton , Georgia , United States
I enjoy my weekly visits to Town Center Music for my son’s guitar lessons. The staff represents what good customer service should be and help to make Suwanee what it is – a great place to live and do business! I wish them nothing but overwhelming growth and success in the years to come.
I have just begun learning electric guitar.
Outstanding place. Literally no negatives.
All staff members were knowledgeable, respectful, friendly.
Clean, positive, inviting environment.
I bought a Yamaha Pacifica 012 gig bundle from them for $328.
They also offer lessons.
Highly recommend you visit this place.
Best music shop in town. Awesome pedals selection. Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Huge Reverend guitars fan!
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Good
Taught my kids to play guitar
Took down my review. Owner ultimately seemed to care about his customers. Too bad everything is so politically incorrect. Anyone still remember Archie Bunker?
But to clarify what idiot would try to exchange something opened, like a reed.
Amazon prime still winnnning.
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
AVOID AVIOD
High prices not helpful run by a guy who looks 40 and still in a garage band no music
background not open late any place better then here. Manger is clueless.
