I have had the opportunity to enjoy these guys several times in various venues, from an outside concert to an intimate restaurant gig. I love their music and professionalism and try to hear them whenever I can. My wife says “ditto”…
Don’t bother to call them the guy is super rude and hung up on me twice just because he was out of my “assisted living” budget no customer service skills at all.
2. D & Y Studios
Address: 727 Northlake Blvd, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
D&Y studios is a wonderful place to learn music for beginners and seasoned musicians alike. Yoko and Dillip are warm, compassionate and are genuinely involved with the development of their students. They are artists and musicians and welcome people in like family. So grateful to be a part of their community. Our 7 yo son has developed a love for piano and that would not have happened if it wasn’t for Mrs. Yoko. Thank you!
I began taking lessons at D&Y Music studios when I was 6 and it was one of the best decisions my parents ever made for me. I take piano lessons with Mrs. Yoko and every week I look forward to attending my lessons. Not only is Mrs. Yoko an incredibly talented pianist, she is also an amazing teacher who cares deeply about her students. She teaches with passion and pushes her students to become the best pianist they can be. Not only has Yoko taught me everything I know about classical piano and how to play, but she has also taught me discipline and responsibility, something I’m very thankful for. She’s trained me to become the classical pianist I am today. I will always recommend Yoko and everyone else at D&Y to people. Yoko’s husband, Dilip is also an incredible teacher and guitarist. If you want you or your kids to, not only learn how to play an instrument but to love it, then I recommend D&Y Music Studios.
I began taking guitar lessons with Dilip when I was in middle school, so I was about 10 or 11 years old. I’m 35 now. I consider him to be my first mentor in life. As a kid, I looked forward to my lessons with him. My parents were very happy with my progress and with Dilip’s teaching style. When he could tell that I practiced my sheet music and I did well, he rewarded me by teaching me songs on the radio that I liked. During that time, alternative music was popular so he taught me songs by Silver Chair, Nirvana, and many others!
In high school, I became very busy with the rigors of advanced classes, sports, and extra curricular activities so naturally I had to make the difficult decision of taking guitar lessons off my plate. However, I learned so much in that short period of time at the studio. Dilip enriched my life by teaching me guitar and music, skills that I will possess for a lifetime. When I want to relax, I play my guitar. It’s therapeutic. I even went back to his studio and took lessons again after college on and off. We are friends till this day and text each other to joke about life in general. I am very grateful and fortunate to have Dilip as a friend and music teacher. If you’re thinking about music lessons, I highly recommend Dilip, his wife Yoko (who is one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever seen!), or any of the other highly qualified music teachers at D and Y Music Studios. Not only is Dilip an amazing teacher, he’s a good person with a big heart. He and the studio are a great asset to the community!
I am a pretty advanced pianist but was looking for a teacher who would help me with some challenges I was facing with some pieces. I was excited about my first lesson with Ms Kothari but left very disappointed. She barely let me play and my questions went unanswered. She seems to have a big ego but when she played for me I wasn’t too impressed.
Seriously, a concert at our wedding!!! We had the time of our lives and left it all out on the floor JPB was getting compliments all night long!! Really couldn’t believe how great it sounded but when I turned around it was a full on band!! SMOOTH… is the way I can describe the way John and the band conduct their gig. Truly talented and professional band that knows how to capture a crowd. They also helped to time a special surprise perfectly where we had the Bottle Dancers interrupt our first dance!! They worked directly with the dancers and nailed it!! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose John Parker Band, and now we know who to book for our next party! Thanks guys!!
Yours truly,
Adam & Maggie
The John Parker Band performed at our recent wedding. They were fantastic. Every guest raved about how much they loved the band. Everyone danced up a storm. A few friends even hope to use them at their future events. John Parker is the quintessential wedding singer. We would absolutely recommend them!
John Parker and his band performed at our wedding in august 2018. He was a professional before, during and after the ceremony and reception. He provided music for our ceremony and all through the reception. He was fantastic and our guests loved him. I would recommend him for any event.
5. Cash America Pawn
Address: 516 Northlake Blvd, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
I’ve been a customer for years. I’ve bought and sold my Jewelry at this location. They have always been friendly professional and fair with me . I enjoy passing by all of Cash America’s location looking for interesting finds ….
Been shopping here for years, never pawned anything.I would call myself a loyal and frequent customer.they always have decent deals on used stuff, always has good luck with most of it.You won’t get much selling things there but that’s the way it goes in a business like that.I traded 2 guitar effects for an amp today and only shelled out 15$ so it does work for me at times.Everybody is friendly and attentive.I only had 1 problem in there in 10 years and the new manager Charlie stepped up and made it right.I would def reccomend this place to someone looking for used tools,.musical stuff and lots of other things.
Omg these people are so nice I love this store
We found good used metchandises but the palce is small room to walk it
Yeah they’re pretty good they’ve gotten a lot of my stuff
great deals and good service
This pawn shop is poorly run. There are many times when I go there at opening and the store is not open at the time display on the window is usually 10 or 15 minutes late for people not showing up. This is especially bad on Sundays. The customer service is horrible people and the manager will sit there and look at the line will the people wait and one person checks them out. They’re constantly on their cell phones calling your friend texting each other. They also constantly play Loud rap music throughout the store on the devices that are for sale. Also knowingly Pawn items that don’t belong to the person who is pawning the item and they know that it doesn’t belong to that pawning the item. If they think and item is new instead of requiring a receipt they told the customer to take the packaging off and go to the other Cash America down the street so it doesn’t look new. Also they don’t keep your keys on them which means that anybody could pick the keys up and going places you’re not supposed to. Management is especially bad about not having a few times and they always have to look for the receipt in order to give you your money. Over all this place has horrible customer service
Veryrude service.
I had a question about an item I was planning to purchase. I asked a simple question does it come with an adapter it says as is. The reply was you need to wait in line.
After about 35 minutes of waiting in line. I’m told it’s as is no adapter not my problem. She could have saved me 35 minutes and told me that when I asked a question the first time.
Crooks. Tried to tell me my 14k ring was 10k. Tested it TWICE. I bought the dang ring from another cash America location! As 14k! Two other pawn shops tested it and it said it was 14k. Immediately. You either need to be more honest or test jewelry he right way!
6. School of Rock North Palm Beach
Address: 11650 US-1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Great school, instructors are professionals and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Very friendly. Good atmosphere. Ralph rocks.
The school itself is great my son has a great time and enjoys all aspects of learning so far, in my personal opinion the front area could use some work, it’s always very awkward when I walk in, dont even get me started on having to wait for any length of time, there’s hardly a greeting or asking why you’re here. I get it, this place is unprofessionally proffesional but the courtesy could be tuned up for the safety of the kids.
Very poor experience. Started off pretty good then just went downhill from there. The owner really doesn’t care about anything but the money and his ego. The instructors there are very nice but never available for lessons. Speaking from my experience, my instructor was almost never there and I was always offered a lesson in something that was unrelated. Probably because they had something more important to do than school of rock. You pay to play shows that aren’t even worth it. Sound is horrendous, no real sound guy, equipment is old and outdated, and when somebody like myself tries to fix it, they yell and say I “don’t know what I’m doing” even though the owner has no musical knowledge whatsoever. The other musicians there are really nice and I got along with them just fine. The biggest problem with school of rock is it’s owner. I had to quit in the middle of the “amazing tour” due to the fact that it was a miserable and depressing experience. Terrible food, no sleep, no showering, rooms were full of cockroaches and were in the middle of the ghetto. I love music and playing was great, but all of the other nonsense in between really turned me off from it. There was no concern for anybody’s health or wellbeing. Only when I threatened to leave, and subsequently did, they decided to act like they wanted to help but it was too late. I shouldn’t have had to beg to take a break from the nonstop unrelated music activities that were boring and tiring. According to the owner, THAT is what a REAL touring musician does. Which is completely false. Real touring musicians get paid, and are not bombarded with unnecessary activities. They play music, relax, and repeat. And any other activities they want to do is on their own desire. In conclusion, new management is very well needed in North Palm Beach School Of Rock.
Ehh
7. Confusion Records
Address: 846 Park Ave, Lake Park, FL 33403 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Hueter Dave has one of the most unique record stores in Florida. You might not find what you’re looking for, but you’ll always find the right thing.
Great place to buy records. They have everything !
Lots and lots of records…little bit more organization needed tho. Kinda cluttered but found some good stuff there!!
I went in to Confusion Records looking for specific artists. What I found was a trove of music. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me locate what I needed, we even talked about old music and he was surprised at my young age I knew about artists from the 50s and 60s. Thank you and I will return9
They have an interesting selection of older records. But there are two things they need to do: 1) Stop smoking in the store. Not only is it off-putting, the smoke literally harms the products. 2) Organize the products better. There’s almost no organization, which means you have to spend a lot of time looking to find things you want.
Terrible place!!! The smell of cigarettes are awful.
I recommend you call ahead and make sure the owner shares your tastein music. I called to ask if they carried a recent reissue of Pearl Jam and the response was ‘I never got into that so why would I sell that in my shop’. Whatever happened to a simple no?
He locked me and my boyfriend in the store an hour and a half before close, which made us really scared and uncomfortable. Probably why most businesses have the “don’t lock during occupancy” policy. Not ADA compliant at all. The digging through stuff, I get, but not when you have to move past and trip on step stools. Some areas are completely inaccessible at all. He had at least 4 half full juice bottles and a moldy plate just laying around on the floor by his desk.
8. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 1045 Lake Shore Dr, Lake Park, FL 33403 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Great dude. . . great teaching ability. He does a great job of teaching you to your level and to your language. I’ve taken a bunch of classes with other instructors and Lloyd was the first one that really focused on what I needed to learn and customized his teaching for my learning style.
Adanna has only been coaching my daughter for a few months and yet I have seen so much improvement in her vocal range and control. I feel lucky to have found a voice teacher who is not only very skilled and talented but also someone that my daughter is comfortable working with. My daughter looks forward to every session with Adanna, I am so happy that she found a reason to love singing even more! I highly recommend Adanna to anyone who wants to enhance their vocal skills!
TR Music and Voice Lessons has been a game-changer for me. The vocal lessons are top-notch, and I always leave with a sense of accomplishment.
Untrustworthy
9. Music Man
Address: 2309 N Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Good variety of instruments and accessories. Helpful friendly staff. Good prices
They are good at what they do. They give you honest quotes for what might be needed.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR STRING REPAIRS. Or, frankly, repairs in general. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. I originally brought my viola to the store in Port Saint Lucie to be repaired and was told that it had to be shipped to the West Palm Beach store where the actual repair shop was. Seemed reasonable enough at the time. But this store then held my viola for well over a month, and started constantly making excuses as to why I couldn’t have my viola. Not only that, but it was impossible to get ahold of anyone at the store by telephone. I called time and time again and left numerous messages, but I was rarely able to get in touch with anyone until I actually spoke with the repair person. First it was that I didn’t tell them how I wanted it repaired (I did. Twice.) Then it was that the repair person only works weekends (she herself told me that she would come in and fix it on a weekday if needed, but they didn’t seem to care about that), and then it was that they couldn’t ship it back to the Port Saint Lucie store. Then, finally, when I finally got them to ship it back, they did it LATE. It is well over a month later and I STILL do not have my viola because of the terrible customer service. I’ve missed over 10 lessons now because of this. DO NOT go here for string repairs; they are simply understaffed.
I used to come here to have my instrument cleaned for years and will no longer be doing so. Repair shop is unwilling to accommodate professional musicians that are time sensitive. And no, I won’t be leaving my instrument that I make a living with with you for 7-10 days. That’s completely unacceptable. I even offer to pay extra for the rush. Insane. This would never happen in New York, Boston, LA, San Francisco, Dallas, or any city with pro music shops.
Staff is extremely helpfull, prices are comparable to other music chains. If they don’t have it in stock, they will order it for you. Highly recommend you check it out!
I brought in a Korg Wavestation to fix some inputs and other “aging” minor issues. It was repaired in less than a week and works like new. Very friendly staff, I highly recommend.
Any time I have stopped by they have always been very helpful.
Small inventory of low to mid range instruments. I needed a set of Elixir phosphor bronze custom light polyweb and had to settle for 80/20 custom light nanoweb. Nice family run business. Trying to buy local whenever possible.
Un buen servicio
Went to check this place out as I had never been inside. A male clerk saw us and asked us if we needed help and when we told him we had never been here and were just checking it out for future reference. He became super condescending towards us.
Pushy know it all salesman condescendingly told me I was “handling the guitars too rough” and proceeded to criticize my brand preferences even though he had no clue what he was talking about. Stay away if you’re a knowledgeable musician looking for a place to browse without pressure to buy.
Not sure on the name but the gentleman helping me out was very rude. At first the store seemed like a nice spot with a good variety of products, a little lacking in basses but otherwise good stock. But when I was asked what I was looking for in a bass and I mentioned I was just casually looking the whole tone of the man helping me changed. He was constantly pressing me about buying the bass I was playing that day and when I said I really wasn’t 100% sure about even buying a bass he unplugged the instrument cable from the amp as a subtle way of saying my presence wasn’t welcome if I wasn’t gonna spend money. Then when I politely asked if I could play a different bass he said he was too busy to reach right above him and grab it for me even though there was only one other person in the store who was already being helped. Overall the store seems nice but youre better off going to the guitar center down the street where you’re at least aloud to play the instruments.
Very Unwelcoming. This is not the place if you’re a musician and you want to touch and feel an instrument . Some employee, Mnr I think,, ran up on me and my son acting as though we were going to steal or break everything. In the end he didn’t even know is own inventory or didn’t care to help me find the equipment I was shopping for. Referred me to a online app. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. I won’t go back to this place again
11. George’s Music
Address: 130 Juno St #2, Jupiter, FL 33458 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Richard and the entire team at George’s Music are instrumental (pun intended!) at servicing and taking care of their customers. From the moment you walk in to the store you feel welcomed into their “home” while they provide you with the assistance that you need in finding what you are looking for. Whether you have a specific item you are interested in or just feel like messing around with different gear, you are welcomed to do so in a comfortable and helpful manner. George’s Music and the entire team are truly the best at what they do. I would never, I repeat NEVER shop at another music store again as long as I am able to make it to George’s in West Palm Beach. Thank you again guys for making my experience a pleasure as always! I look forward to seeing you soon!
Great Service! I love my new Fender Acoustasonic.
Tim Kamak was very helpful and welcoming.
At first my online order did not make it through, for whatever reason. The next day i had an email from Tim. Asking if he can help in any way. I called and within minutes my order was processed and all taken care of with shipping and follow up emails to inform where the process was at, etc. I am in Canada so you definitely impressed me with your client service attention. I would definitely recommend George’s Music to others. Will evaluate the product once received by my daughter.
All the rave reviews ate well earned.
These guys really go the extra mile with communication. Maybe a bit too much, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I appreciate being kept informed but getting texts, emails, and voicemails for 1 order is a bit much. Anyway, their heart is in the right place, and the gig-bag I ordered is great!
Out of business
Not a “music store” but more like a warehouse with a very small showroom. This is essentially a front for their booming internet business. Prices are higher than most. Selection is limited on even the staple items like guitar strings. Will work in a pinch, but wouldn’t ever go out if my way to visit again.
This place is closed
12. Ro’jay Musician Success
Address: 350 W 35th St, Riviera Beach, FL 33404 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Great used book store. And, a good place to trade in your books.
This is an excellent book store. We came her looking for comics and Pops. While there was no Pops to speak of, the comic section was amazing. A great selection of hardcover, TPB, and Omnibus. I found several hardcovers and Omni’s that are hard to find, and the store is best peruses when you have plenty of time to browse. I kept finding more and more books stashed in different corners. And the non-comic book selection was amazing. Well worth your time.
Very interesting place couldn’t believe the amount of books that were in there probably a half a million for God’s sake check them out
This place has a large collection of comics and books, but it seemed a little crowded and disorganized. I would go here again, but be prepared to search for what you’re looking for.
Good selection a little pricy
Good selection of books and comics. There are some rare comics behind the glass that are pretty cool to see. Books appear organized and place was clean… Go check it out
Very disappointed with this establishment. Rude staff and books in bad shape.
He will rip you off for your comics never goin back
Don’t recommend this place at all. Was going to buy a bunch of the manga he had for sale, but my boyfriend wanted to know how much for a hardback book and he said all hardbacks are $10. I was like what? More than likely brand new on amazon for $11-12 so why would we pay pretty much a brand new price at a USED book store. I didn’t bother to ask how much the manga was because he probably would of charged me almost full retail and all used manga is about $3 each. Also very unorganized and cluttered, a little hard to walk around. Also the guy walked out to take a smoke break and what not while we where in the store, what if we had questions, didn’t even bother to asked if we needed help finding anything. Also the guy working make himself look like he was at home lol. Very unprofessional. Its like do you want money or not? And why on earth are you charging so much at a USED book store. You don’t have gold. I have no idea how this guy is still open to be honest. This is where books go to die pretty much. No wonder he has little to no business. Awful experience.
15. Kavasutra Kava Bar – North Palm Beach
Address: 450 Northlake Blvd #5, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Went to meet up with some friends, got free samples and got to play some mortal combat. Friendly employees and good vibes
Parking lot lots of space
Every time is a great time. Bartenders are great and their teas are scrumptious
Staff was nice but pretty small menu and wierd vibe
The general manager Jose .
It’s a pretty good guy .
Makes the experience alot better.
A little expensive but nice pretty good
Employees are douchbags. Enough said.
Kava is medicinal: there are strains that contain completely different ratios of psychoactive compounds. You can look them up; they’re called “chemotypes”. But kavasutra doesn’t care about any of that! To them, kava is just another way to get f*c&ed up… They don’t know what types of kava they’re serving. Or at least my waitress couldn’t tell me. Also, they sell behnd-the-counter Kratom, which seems especially sketchy. Kava is medicine: please don’t let kavasutra convince you otherwise.
I called, hoping someone could help me with a Kava related question. Whoever answered the phone, a man- was unbelievably rude to me. I could hear commotion in the background, he was having difficulty hearing me. So he snapped and said “I have a full bar right now, so make this quick.” I’m deeply offended. I had considered going tonight to have a couple Kavas, but there’s no way this place will EVER get my business. Totally uncalled for. Talk to your employees – they’re costing you valuable customers. I’ll go elsewhere.
16. Avail Records, Inc.
Address: 800 Village Square Crossing, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Me and my bandmates with Nicole just finished an intensive 10 hour recording session and all I have to say is that we are incredibly pleased. I am from England I have recorded at some of the finest studios in the UK and Rare Monkey Studios has the quality. Their booth is super tight, their engineers are phenomenal. I will record here again when I am back in the States. Best studio experience I have had stateside. Thank you Rare Monkey team. Raul RAZ Zeballos and his team are incredibly talented individuals.
Always friendly and clean! A great studio to work with and very talented people here. If you want quality music choose this studio. ❤️
Good professional setting.
OK place.

If you love music and building a sound of your own, this spot is the place to be! Hits The RM…G spot! Both Chico and George are pleasantly humble hustlers in the south Florida studio game, and I always love vibing out here when I’m in town.
19. Guitar Center
Address: 5025 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Excelente tienda. Buena atención (hay personas que hablan Español). Mucha variedad de ítems.
Guitar Center to me is like what Titan is to Thanos or Krypton to General Zod. #HOME.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great products!
Buen inventario.
Great selection of Guitars, etc. Long time in business & very knowledgeable staff.
Great store, they had what I needed for my guitar.
Arrogant kid employee made fun out my question i asked him for and adaptor to convert a electric guitar cable to an aux ….so i could connect it to my car stereo so he laughed and sayed it won’t work i still purchased it connected it and it worked

20. Music Man
Address: 179 N Jog Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33413 , North Palm Beach , Florida , United States
Thank you Music Man & Ms. Johnson for Izzy’s lessons.
They’re awesome!
I loved my experience with Music man, Michelle is awesome, so is Gina and the gentlemen at the front. I will be going there often for all our musical instrument needs.
Excellent teachers
Nice
It is good place to buy musical instrument especially related to wind instrument such as saxophones, trumpets, flute, clarinets, and etc. I bought mouth piece for soprano saxophone for my dad, and he really loved it. You may feel it is really small in size, but there is no place like this in WPB. Additionally, you may spend time to find out where the Entry is if you are the first time visit.
Ok
They lied to me
I have purchased three clarinets for my daughter from Music Man, with the last one being over $3600 (Buffet R-13). The “brand-new” clarinet was damaged. We had it repaired from an outside person since my daughter needed it immediately for college auditions and we had been told by Music Man that the repairs would take three weeks. I received a phone call from the manager, Chris, asking for copies of my receipts. He then told me that he would submit the receipts to Buffet for reimbursement. After I submitted the receipts, Chris told me (A MONTH LATER) that he didn’t know why I had dropped off receipts for reimbursement and there would not be any reimbursement since I had taken it to elsewhere for repair. He even went as far as to say that he had never called me and had no idea what I was talking about, even though he had asked to speak to my daughter about what exactly needed to be repaired, as there had been other Buffet clarinets that needed to be repaired. After spending over $7000 at this store, I feel their customer service is horrible. Will never recommended it to anybody.
