Beautiful small guitar and music store in Downtown clermont! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and an amazing player’ highly recommended.
What a joy to find this shop and meet the owner, Roberto.
He is a great soul and a wonderful musician.
If you love guitar and people who are passionate about music, this is your shop!! Jubal is a musical Oasis in Clermont, Thank you Roberto for your vision!
After spending days searching for a good musical Instrument store, I finally found JUBAL at the Galleria at Soma, Robert is very knowledgeable and everything he has is very unique and selective guitars and accessories! I will definitely come back.
3. Music Store inc
Address: 141 S Highway 27 Building 159, Citrus Tower Blvd Center, Clermont, FL 34711 , Oakland , Florida , United States
I’m taking lessons here and buying the things I need for my Music classes for about 3 years now and the owner, staffs and teachers are really nice, compassionate, kind, understanding and talented. I am recommending this store to everyone.
Great selection and prices. Staff was super friendly and helpful
Great store and customer service. Found product easily and cashed out quickly.
Left them guitar to glue the neck, the estimation was way above market, that’s OK. I’ve decided to go to other store but during pick up I found scratches here and there. Lucky me-made a video when I did bring a guitar the 1st time. I am just disappointed- waste a month and no result. They did polish and removed scratches (not all as I found out in another store). Not a bad store with various instruments new and used, I even bought a bass, but I do not trust their guitar master. Rick is a good guy but the master is a 3rd party that occasionally appears and takes guitars home, where I guess and damage mine.
Rick was warm & friendly & it seems to have a nice stock of instruments. Tucked in the corner of the Staples building so it’s easy to drive right by without seeing it. Very little sheet music for vocalists so if that’s what your looking for don’t bother. They have an open mic night every 1st Saturday so I will come to one & see what it’s like.
Does not open at 10:00
Would like to see the in side but I guess not today
I am from out of town. LOVE stopping at music shops, like most of us do, as music is a passion/hobby. I’ve PURCHASED 2 guitar pedals, a preamp, and a microphone from this guy before…. Always enjoyed chatting the few times I’ve stopped in. Seemed nice. Assume he remembers me when I walk in, typically.
I was in town again, so I stopped in to see what they had. Asked him a question about an expensive guitar out of curiosity and he said, “Ah, well, the only people that would ask that are from another store.” Then gave me a smug grin like…. as if: “caught you”
Seriously?.. seriously?! Shove off. I WILL NOT be back, and I’ll take my cash elsewhere. You dont offend customers by claiming they must be spies from other stores because they asked a question. I’m not a SPY. I’m not a “Music Store” traitor*?, criminal of sorts, as you insinuate. You must be insanely paranoid judging by that comment! This was not a joking tone or anything.
Literally, I will NOT be back. I always carry a pocket full of cash into music stores in case I see something neat, as I love to collect. But I will NOT be back to this unsettling, SUSPECTING establishment whom thinks negatively of a guy patronizing their business.
More time to hit up another store I haven’t been to I guess.
I dropped off my instruments for a tuneup. I was quoted $280 and I said of course! Never had a problem until I went to pick them up! Two individuals whom I’ve never seen before were at the counter. My instruments were sitting aside ready for pickup. I told the man who asked how much I was charged $280. He goes to the back, gets someone else and she never addresses me but questions him in obvious skepticism $280 for all of this? She proceeds to go in the back, as if she’s out of range of my hearing, to call the owner and verify if I was telling the truth. Why would I lie? $280 is not a little bit. Then she proceeds to say we just wanted to make sure because we weren’t told. I should have been able to come in with my tickets, ID, and money and pick up my instruments! Not have to wait because of whatever PREJUDICE these people feel! That exchange alone is why I’ll NEVER return here! I’ll pay whatever for my instruments.
Edit–Response:
Rick B.,
You are correct–you were NOT there. I am aware that you are the owner and as the owner you FAILED to communicate with your employees. Either way, there were failures through no fault of my own. I shared MY experience, which you were not present for and you have ADMITTED was your fault. SHAME ON YOU! This ought to be a learning lesson in communication so that these FAILURES do not happen again in the future! DO BETTER!

Address: 798 W Montrose St, Clermont, FL 34711 , Oakland , Florida , United States
Awesome guitar store. Great to deal with. Very knowledgeable and helpful. AAA+++ rating
Kris and Pete are the BEST. I’ve shopped music stores all over the globe. In this age of corporate stores, these guys bring the joy of a owner occupied store to you every time. Always happy and helpful. Ditch Sam and Center and reward yourself with a fine instrument and service as well. Loo says THIS IS THE PLACE!
I went in for first time today and was very impressed with the gentleman that helped us he had a lot of knowledge on my child instrument and reeds we were needing and made her feel special. We are renting the clarinet from them and will continue to get accessories.
Despite the trumpet not working out for my son… the staff was helpful, understanding, and ever so friendly! I highly recommend getting your school band rentals here!
Nice guys. Quality guitars: affordable and high end
Got awesome tagima540,great action, very happy with ,smart staff, average prices
For the several thousands of dollars my family has spent at this business, I expect Pete to be friendly/pleasant towards us(at the very least), for life, but he clearly can’t maintain that. He started acting rude towards my mom some years back, and now me. For no apparent reason. I hope that keeping that sour attitude of yours is worth losing 20+ year customers who often went out of their way to spend money at your establishment and stay local. Weird way to treat people who earned you money. Avoid. He’s one of those guys who thinks everyone is a “democrat”. Super solid reason to push customers away.

Excellent work done! Chris is great to talk shop with, his prices are unmatched, and his work second to none!!! Unlike many music store repair shops that send it out in batches, work is done on-site and very prompt. Fixed a seized rotary with ease, lapped a slide perfectly, and bathed my tuba in no time. Before him it would take a shop weeks to get my instrument and the work would be average at best, with no close communication or care that Chris gives. Drove 3 hours just to have him do the work I needed because he is the best! Couldn’t be more pleased!!!
Amazing guy, top quality work for an incredible deal. Honestly wouldn’t get repairs from anywhere else.
Best instrument repair shop in Central Florida! Highly recommend! Also does rentals and sales.

My children have been taking lessons with Josh for 2 years. We have been very pleased with their progress and would highly recommend Josh. He is a very committed teacher. He keeps the children interested in guitar while constantly challenging them.
Josh began teaching my son 5 years ago when my son was only 9 years old. Josh has a passion for teaching and playing the guitar which is made clear upon meeting him. He knows how to relate, communicate and motivate children into playing and loving the guitar as much as he does. He also has a ton of patience which was made abundantly clear in dealing with my rambunctious and easily distracted son.
9. Garden Music School
Address: 40 S Main St, Winter Garden, FL 34787 , Oakland , Florida , United States
I love these place the teacher are so great, my baby had an amazing time there.
Nice place, good selection and very good service
Gracias chicos. Quedamos encantados con la atención. Mi sobrina fascinada con la clase de canto. …..ya quiere volver.
**UPDATE** I received a PROMPT call regarding this situation from Tatiana who runs Garden Music School. She was very quick to apologize for the situation and was happy to refund the charges. As I stated in the first review, Tatiana has been nothing but awesome to work with! I am leaving the initial review of the teacher, but want to let everyone know they are very customer service oriented. Also, be aware that they will charge monthly because it is NOT a monthly service, it is a yearly service that they charge for each month. It is slightly confusing that they advertise as monthly prepaid lessons with no contract. However, benefit of the doubt is I may have misunderstood this. I would recommend Garden Music as long as you speak to/sit in with your student for a lesson or two, to ensure the teacher/student are a good fit for each other.
________
We just moved to Florida and we’re looking to pick up drum lessons again after a year long hiatus. We signed up for lessons with Marcus. After the first 30 minute session he spoke to me about my son as if he was a delinquent who wasn’t practicing drums and took it as a personal affront to himself. We came back even though my son said he didn’t like him (should have known then). After the second 30 minute lesson Marcus came outside and proceeded to yell (and I do mean YELL) at my son and launched into a bitter diatribe about how my son is sour, is undisciplined, unmotivated, not college bound (odd???) and that he was going to drive away the people in his life (what??). I sat in disbelief listening to a 21 year old utterly tear down a 14 year old (with a learning disability) and could not believe he was still employed as I highly doubt this was the first time he has displayed such behavior. My son was in tears the whole way home (40 minute drive). I felt horrible for my son and have never witnessed a teacher behave this way. My son wants to play for enjoyment, not for a career. As a teacher myself I know the key to creating motivation is a mix of encouragement and critique. However, this approach and the personal offense Marcus took to my son (who is still learning) and his music ability was appalling and we will not be returning. I’m sure the owner (who is very kind) and the other teachers are great but I would not recommend this teacher! **UPDATE** I was charged for lessons for another month, which I did not authorize! Despite being told there is no contract and lessons are paid monthly…I was charged for lessons I did not request! Do not give this place your credit card information.
I normally like this shop, but the website says they are open till 7pm on Saturday. The door says they close at 4. I just road my scooter with acoustic in my lap for a few miles to find a closed shop. Unhappy.
Skip this business & hire a music teacher directly for lessons/repair. Many can come to your house for lessons for same cost & can do repairs quickly & lower cost. We have been visiting here weekly for a month & really wanted to love this business and give it a chance. At the end of the day, what our family found over the course of a month was music instructors & front desk staff who are great. And unfortunately, management who knows music but have business practices & communication style that are disappointing and likely won’t work long term to retain either students or teachers. Booking students back to back with no interim forces teachers to be late or quit early in all their appts. Being rude, defensive & dismissive toward client concerns doesn’t serve anyone well & word of mouth in such a small community makes a difference. Best wishes to Garden Music in improving their current managerial challenges, we always want to see our local businesses succeed.
If I could give this location a 0 I would! This is the worst customer service I have experienced, coming from someone who is in the hospitality industry. If you value great customer service, and locations that value the customer experience, DO NOT give them your money! Find another music store to buy/rent your child’s instrument …. because my child is now affected due to this location lack of communication. At the end of the day it’s about our/your children.
10. Beautiful Music
Address: by appointment only – Central, Winter Garden, FL 34787 , Oakland , Florida , United States
Beautiful music is exactly what Shannon and the musicians exemplified during our wedding reception and cocktail hour! The elegance and sound was magical. Shannon was amazing in helping us form a perfect flow of music during the happiest day of my life! My husband and I would recommend Beautiful Music to anyone looking to elevate a gathering. Thank you for the memories!
We hired Shannon and her fabulous string quartet for our Rolls-Royce Car Club Picnic on the Lawn at our home, and everyone who attended all agreed that they helped make our event a success…THANK YOU.
Multiple guests commented how courteous and friendly he was and were amazed how much he learned about Mom even though they never met in life. That’s so beyond a mere hired talent, that’s a pure soul. You wouldn’t think that you could improve on the beauty of Garden of the Gods in the Spring, but Michael’s artistry made the day memorable and special.
All have been highly professional and the very best in the business. In fact, all five of my teachers have extensive professional careers in the music industry – and notoriety. All five are highly regarded and respected in their individual crafts, most on an international level. It’s been an honor to work with such talented individuals who have helped shape the music we all listen to.
Cody is phenomenal. My son enjoys playing his violin because of the talent at TR music. Thank you Cody for being such a great instructor.
14. FAMILY MUSIC of CLERMONT
Address: 240 Citrus Tower Blvd F, Clermont, FL 34711 , Oakland , Florida , United States
Went in to look around and check the place out. The owner was very nice to me and let me look at all of their practice rooms. Very nice music store with quality equipment. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Stefan, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge and knows his stuff. As parents of a newly inspired guitarist, we were clueless in where to start. Stefan answered all our questions and was very supportive. Hard now a days to find quality mom and pop shops that care so much about their customers, products and service. Thank you Stefan!!!!!
” My son take piano lessons with you guys and he love it. I as a mom love the envirinment and all the smiley faces that are always present in your studio. “
I like the friendly atmosphere, which allows my kids to feel comfortable and express themselves freely. My kids look forward to going to their lessons each week. The instructors are great and communicate well.
Don’t recommend. Teachers are impatient, critical of parenting and just care about making you buy books versus teaching. Lost a months worth of classes because they have no make days. They used to have make up days on Saturdays but they just group you with random people instead of giving you that individualized attention that you’re paying for. When we couldn’t make it we were told to just attend class virtually…I mean not being able to make it is literally not being able to make it regardless if in person or virtually. Switched teachers a couple of times because they started to get fresh with us and owner decided to call us up to say that my boys weren’t a fit for the school. Instead of working with us like a professional business he insinuated that we were difficult…After three years of lessons for two kids, buying books after another and even payed a tune up and we were the problem…
Thankfully there’s tons of music options in the area. I suggest you go elsewhere.
Madi was very rude and unprofessional!
There are cheaper and better instrument rental businesses in town. Went to get an instrument and I was given a very used dirty instrument that frankly I would be ashamed to rent out. I felt as if I had to refurbish the item before my child could use it. Went to return the instrument and the owner was very gracious in returning our fund to us. Talking to the owner I figured out that they were pushing out to inexperienced parents the worse instruments they had in the store without giving us other options which were available. Lost my business and I hope that of many other. So buyer beware!
15. REBEL Convenience Stores

Do not use the car wash!

16. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 912 Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810 , Oakland , Florida , United States
Sam Ash gets the job done, especially when I’m in a hurry to pick up my gear. Knowledgeable staff get you in and out fast. 😀
Joe in guitars was awesome! Restrung guitar very nicely and was very knowledgeable and helpful when we were looking for a new electric. Will definitely come back!
These guys are the best. Been going there for years and never any questions on returns and easy lay away if you find a guitar you don’t want sold while you’re saving your money up to get it.
The only thing that stopped me from giving a 5 was no one ask if I needed assistance while I was shopping other than it’s s great place and environment maybe they were just short handed that day or something
I was trying out acoustic guitars looking to make a purchase when an employee came in the room and told me to stop trying out guitars as he had to sanitize them at the end of the day. The proceeded to slam the door on the way out hard enough to shake the wall and give everyone inside the room a scare.
I did end up purchasing solely because the price was too good to find anywhere else, but will not be coming back
Edit: Was called and apologized to. I can appreciate a store that is actively working to resolve problems.
I best describe my experience as a Sam Ash, ‘Tale of 2 Cities’.
As a reptired healthcare administrator and disabled US Marine who uses music as physical and mental health therapy, I give Sam Ash an overall score of 4 stars. The Lee Rd store definitely is about customer service. The E. Colonial store behave like a bunch of rude, used car salesmen.
Mike manages the E. Colonial store but is too busy to deal directly with the customer. While negotiating the sale of a discontinued amp M Caylor came back with someone claiming to be Nick, Ops Mgr. Nick was neither jolly, nor saintly. Instead of greeting me, he went to the amp. He didn’t smile, shake hands or show any respect. He was rude and stormed off.
Conversely, Lee Rd is about customer service and building lasting customer relationships. I purchased a new Fender fretless bass at Lee Rd that had been on display. After a couple of issues, I returned the bass and it was replaced with a brand new Fender bass fresh out of the box and conditioned on the spot by Joe.
From henceforth, if Lee Rd doesn’t have it or can’t get it, I’ll shop Amazon or Guitar City.
A very dismal store. Their stocking of products is inconsistent and lazy, the technicians are untrained and sloppy, their knowledgeability towards the products they actually do carry is almost nonexistent.
Called ahead to make sure they had what I needed in stock- repeated the item description 3 times- and was told yes, drove 30 minutes to get it, it was not the item I asked for. The employee was unapologetic for the issue, got an attitude, and blamed me. I’ve given this store more than enough chances to get back to its glory days but it has gone too far downhill to get back to being a worthy place shop.
This was my first time coming into Sam Ash. The service was poor, I walked around for 10 minutes looking for someone to help me and no one was available. The store is not fairly priced and I will probably never visit again.
Walked in to find a takamine pro guitar but could not try it out because a customer that had already bought a guitar prior was being catered to and had a concert going with different guitars and I could not hear myself. I guess I will go to the Guitar Center.
17. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 317 Pine St, Winter Garden, FL 34787 , Oakland , Florida , United States
John is an amazing talent! But more importantly his character is what stands out most with me. John is both understanding and very humble, and these qualities is what makes him so accessible and easy to get along and work with. I had the prevliage to work with him on a few of my tracks and only hope that I get the chance again to work with him in the near future.
Stormie have my daughter vocal lessons and she was amazing! She came to our house and worked with her on exercises to help with breathing and pitch as well as helping her learn a song. I highly recommend her she is great with people and is an amazing singer and teacher!
Not only does she help you sing better, but she really cares and helps develop you as an overall artist. Forbsey knows a lot of different vocal techniques, music industry resources, and tricks to the trade when it comes to becoming a better singer.
