Very quick and honest repair. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be using Jeff again if needed.
My 7th daughters clarinet was not working properly and her music teacher told her she needed to have it looked at. I contacted Jeff and he was more than willing to assist. He was able to look at it the following day and repaired it while I waited. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone in the area.
I’ve been going to Jeff for my flute(s) repairs for decades. I’m never disappointed.
5. Comfortzone Audio
Address: 616 Spruce Ct, Oswego, IL 60543 , Oswego , Illinois , United States
John is the best. I recorded at a number of studios over the years, however John is the easiest, most accommodating, professional engineer that I can recall. He certainly goes the extra mile. Studio is very nice. Very accessible. His rates are very reasonable. Clearly I have no complaints because we keep recording here. Definitely recommend him.
Comfortzone audio gets a number clients with amplified instruments and/or vocals. Our group came in with instrumentals, all acoustic, and an unusual combination to boot. The saxophones are a big challenge in particular, and our group has players with a wide range of dynamics and complex timbres. We picked Comfortzone because I was confident that they had the experience and resources to do a good job with it, and we left our session with all our goals accomplished and four fine recordings.
A great studio experience. Very knowledgeable engineers and high end professional recording equipment.
Derek is a great teacher and also an amazing musician. He’ll teach you everything from chords and scales to music theory to Jimi Hendrix. As a 35 year old who had never picked up the guitar before, I should have done this years ago.
Derek is a patient and knowledgeable teacher, and he is great with kids as well as adults. His experience as a composer, performer, and teacher make him the perfect person to give lessons, as he can tailor them to exactly what you want to learn. I highly recommend him for guitar lessons.
Derek has a broad music background in a variety of styles, is unbelievably patient and charges very reasonable rates. He comes to your house, works around your schedule, and is willing to take the time to transcribe your songs. He is dedicated and tailors the lessons to fit your interests and needs. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Oswego/Yorkville area.
10. Quinlan & Fabish Music Company
Address: 291 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, IL 60538 , Oswego , Illinois , United States
Very good place for any music needs. I have used their services for my son’s violin needs. Courteous staff and prompt service. Well recommended for all music instruments need in and around Aurora
You will not find a better place for customer service! The staff members are the nicest people around, will do just about anything to help you – 1st class!, and are super professional. I can’t say enough about this company & the people it hires. I wish every company took the pride and care that this place does!
Michael was friendly and knowledgeable. Instruments are taken very good care of, and they help fix many issues.
Very disappointed in the customer service. I received incorrect information from Quinlan & Fabish at Crone Middle School and they won’t honor what was told to me. Very over priced. Do yourself a favor and shop around.
Edit: They ended up honoring the verbal price I was quoted.
Went to my daughter’s school for “band info” night. Even with Covid, they had the kids trying out wind instruments (I REALLY hope they cleaned them properly between kids). She liked the flute and I was presented with an “agreement” for 4 month trial of $72 (reasonable) and then $40/mo for 2.5 YEARS. The guy (who never even introduced himself) tried to put an “agreement” in front of me; told me it wasn’t a purchase contract (really, then what would it be with a total price of over $1,000 on it? That price and my signature makes it a …contract…).
I hit the brakes; no way am I paying a thousand dollars for anything my kid needs to keep safe, clean and protected… He actually got an attitude, huffing and ripping up the paper. This is thru the school so shame on them too but I walked in for a 10yo to try an instrument so she could join band with her friends and found myself with a washed-up-car-salesman-trying-to-sell-me-a-timeshare feeling. Oh, and lets not forget the “book”, “music stand” and “cleaning cloth” that were…you guessed it…EXTRA $!
Had an amazing experience today, had employees help me from the moment i walked in the door and where able to answer questions i had. They didn’t act like car salesmen but rather as a friend giving a suggestion, i will definitely be back again for any technological needs.
Mike in auto installation is one of the best I have ever dealt with at Best Buy. If you have any radio installation needs, he’s your guy!
Geek guy super moves like he,s 16h
Awesome staff
Smaller best buy
This is my local best buy. I went there about a month ago looking for something specific, that it said was in stock online, animal crossing amiibo cards. When I got there several employees were quick to ask me if I needed help. When I finally gave up my pride and asked for help finding my item the person couldn’t find it on the floor. He told me we was going to check in the back. When he came back he said he looked on their computer and that they didn’t have it and that no other stores in the area did either. The next day I went to the best buy off of East New York street and they had multiple of the item I was looking for and the employee who helped me said that they had them in stock for months. I’m not sure if the employee at the best buy in Oswego actually looked because this store obviously had some and it was within a couple of miles of their location. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed because this was my best buy of choice before and I don’t usually like asking for help but the one time I do it turns into a sour experience.
I wouldn’t order anytime from Best Buy for any of major appliance shopping. Most of everything they have is out of stock and many weeks out with inventory. They will show items in stock online, let you order it, charge your credit card and the waiting game begins then. They will send you multiple messages afterwards regarding temporary unavailability and rescheduling options. I mean why would they let your order it, if it was out of stock or limited stock ? You are mostly left with no choice by then. And stuck in endless wait. Their store employees will offer you expensive support options, but with higher estimates than online and no real clarity. I miss old good Best Buy – where you could walk in and have a qualified advice .
Updates on 12/15 – we are still waiting for one of the many appliances to be installed and hauled away. Their system keeps messing up orders. Working with their customer service is a joke. More than 20 calls over 10 hours of my time and issue is still not resolved. This must be a joke. Didn’t find anyone there who was competent enough to handle it. Never going back to Best Buy for any large appliance purchase. Avoid this place at every cost.
While I did manage to get a decent TV at a reasonable price the sales kid and I mean kid was playing with a fidget spinner the whole time we were trying to buy our TV this was uncalled for and not appreciated van it from your store
