Gary set up a guitar for me that was beaten up pretty hard from live gigs when I got it back from him I let the kid that did the damage play it and he said it played better than when it was bought better than brand new .Gary is the man!!!! I don’t think there’s anyone in South Florida that can set up a Guitar as well as he does!He will set it up exactly as u request.Check him out u most definately wont be disappointed.
Awesome repair and sales!
Gary was great. I took my guitar to another luthier and was not happy with the results. Gary told me he could make it perfect and he did. Even worked on another guitar of mine and didn’t charge me. I plan to buy my next guitar from him. Thank you for the great service Gary.
I bought a cheap USED guitar from Gary a while back, just to learn. When the time came to upgrade he would not take it as a part of payment nor in consignment, I was stuck with it. He must have taken it from someone else to sell but he would not take it back from me, not nice. The guitar was in the same condition as when I bought it.
He does not give prices over the phone. Fine, I buy online. I don’t have time to waste to see if I can get a competitive price by going out of my way to the store. The few times I have gone to the store I get MSRP.
I gave three stars because he is not all that bad, just not good enough for me.
could use more extended range guitars

I am a very picky person when it comes to my daughter’s piano lessons. As someone who has played since I was 5 myself and was classically trained in NYC for 15 years in a very large music school, I have a lot of things I look for when it comes to instruction and how things go. The instructors here that I have met are so knowledgeable, the front staff are incredibly kind, and the facility is well set up. My daughter has a hard time connecting with people and she loves her teacher Ms Diamond. We had an instance where Ms Diamond was sick and we had a substitute and my daughter was very nervous because she’s not fond of strangers. The instructor was very understanding and great with her, used me as a “translator” and when class was done, the front desk staff (Karina) came out after me to check how she was doing. It met so much to me because my daughter has only been here a couple of months and I can tell that these people actually care about the students and learning. I’m so happy that we found this school!
It’s great place! Excellent teachers, very kind and sweet team. My kids love it.
It has been a great experience for my daughter and our whole family. The teachers are beyond amazing, caring and professional.
Karina and Alejandro are always very helpful, kind and personable. I highly recommend this academy. I can’t say enough great things!!They are like family!
A family friendly, spiritual, musical organization. I feel it has the same values that I teach at home. My daughter loves Ms. Andrea her singing teacher.
I chose to leave because they kept changing teachers. They are not being truthful about this. They took money from my bank account without my permission after I chose to stop taking courses with them. Now I’m attempting to recover my funds from them. I’m going to submit a claim against them.Avoid this location; they are scammers.
Horrible customer service. I had a bad experience and don’t recommend it to anyone. First, teachers change often, and classes are very short, which makes it confusing for kids to follow, and the whole learning experience becomes very minimal, with no quality learning time. I wanted to cancel my plan 3 weeks before the end of the month. I called on the phone, saying that I would have a busy work schedule and could not bring my son to classes anymore and wanted to cancel my plan. The front desk employee said she would send me the cancellation form, but never did. I couldn’t be there for many classes, and when I went there last time, they said you should have cancelled that before the 19th of the month. I talked to them many times, with no result. They basically want to charge money for nothing. It’s all unethical; if people want to cancel, just let them cancel the plan.
Caveat Emptor: The only thing “international” about them is their staff. On that note, the music teachers are all great with kids and very kind (which is not at all true of the admin staff or owners.) However, if a business is going to hold itself out as an international academy (of… well… anything) it should be just that. This place is nothing of the sort. They don’t compete with other schools, programs, or (ahem, actual) academies, not locally and certainly not abroad. At best, they have garage-band-style recitals on a makeshift stage next to the coffee machine. All bashing aside, the teachers save the day, in that it’s actually not a bad place for giving your kid a sneak peek into the world of music, but forget about anything more than that… despite the grossly misleading name on the door.

Phil was excellent and helped me get what I needed
Best pwices in town
Excellent customer service. Chris and Jacob worked diligently to process the exchange of the instrument. They were helpful.
The was very honest and professional
Not a warm and fuzzy place. Was pretty much ignored for my first time.
Overall this is a solid Sam Ash location with a solid selection of instruments and friendly helpful employees. I used to work at music stores when I was younger and when I went in looking to buy an acoustic guitar I’ll admit I was surprised it took so long for someone to ask me if I needed help. But as an ex-music store employee I also know how worn out one can get by the end of the holiday season so I wasn’t expecting the pinnacle of customer service but I was there looking to spend money and spent a good amount of time playing Taylors and Martin’s in the acoustic room before someone asked if I needed help. All good – I’m not the type to write nitty reviews online. I got some extra time to play a few guitars uninterrupted. In the end the guitar department associate who helped me was a newer employee named Ricky there who has just started during the holidays. Fortunately he was friendly and knowledgable and helped give me some good suggestions for other brands to look at. But in the end I kept going back to the Taylor 114CE and a couple of the Martins under a grand. Ended up going with the Taylor because it felt the best for my style and the tone was a little more up my alley than the Martins. I ended up coming back the next night at 8pm thinking they were open until 9pm because the Saturday closing time was showing incorrectly on the iPhone map app. Not the end of the world- the next day of of the employees mentioned that sometimes during the holidays with the changing hours listed they don’t update promptly. I came back the next day on Sunday and made sure to see Ricky specifically because I’m loyal to the sales reps who provide me with good assistance and after playing back and forth between the Martins and Taylors a few more times I made my final decision. He helped me pick out a leather strap that looked good with the Taylor and gave me enough of an unrequested price break to make me all the happier as a customer. This was really my one major buying experience here where I wasn’t just there for strings or other accessories since I’ve been going to GC more the past 8 years but I was very satisfied with my experience and will be back soon. And for what it’s worth I felt like their overall acoustic selection was broader than the nearby Guitar Center.
I went to Sam Ash to have repairs made to my very old Tenor King Volltrue (1934). It’s not an easy saxophone to fix, and I am grateful that Alex found the time to take a look at it.
He did fix some of the leaks all over the horn.
He also added some corks in places were there shouldn’t be any. It took me a few days to realise what was wrong and to correct (?) the G# extra cork under the key that was making it flat.
When I went to pick it up, I didn’t even have the time to try it before Alex tried to give me a lesson about how to breathe correctly. The problem wasn’t the saxophone being tuned correctly, it was me. He also showed me how it was working perfectly with him, playing with a very loud and uncontrolled sound.
I have played saxophone professionally for years and I know what I want when I go to a repair-man. I didn’t want any lesson from him, even though I was curious about the way he was thinking about breathing (which is in many ways the opposite of the way it is usually done).
At the end of the intercourse, he asked how much cash I had on me (which is an interesting question if you think about it), when I said that I had 120$, he billed me 100$ and asked me the 20$ as a tip, which I decided not to give. 100$ for an hour of work seemed like very well-paid to me, already.
He is probably very able to fix simple modern saxophones but didn’t do a great job with mine.
Bad customer service. It’s hard to get the help you need..
Aweful customer service. Asked for help in guitar, took them 10 minutes to page the guy over, then when he showed up 10 minutes after that, he helped some guy who was already being helped! Plus he looked like he had pink eye, yuck!

I moved to South Florida ( Broward ) at the end of 2009 and I knew nobody in the area. I went online and I found Elite’s website . I called the number posted , left a message about who I was and Jeff Daskin , the owner, called me within a day or two. I have been working for him ever since and I have never been happier about the way the school works and is being managed. Never had a problem 🙂 Looking forward to many more years together !
We are very glad we found Elite Music ! My daughter has been wanting to start guitar lessons and she feels so at ease with her instructor .. I would recommend Elite to anyone looking for music lessons .. Jeff also is so helpful & knowledgable as well
The music facilities are super clean and child friendly! There are always happy kids coming in and out of lessons. Plus there are so many different types of classes offered, I wish Kats Artist Tree was around when I was a kid!
The teachers are all knowledgeable and engaging, though I feel bad sometimes. My nugget is free spirited and… wild if she’s in the mood. The group classes have gotten larger, which is noticeable since they’re in a small room, but attendance fluctuates. So far, it isn’t a huge cause for concern – what with the pandemic and all.
The teacher who is teaching this class is Ms. Jessica Chou. She is very knowledgeable and energetic. She knows how to communicate with little young kids, so the kids love and know how to cooperate with her. She seems to be very well prepared because her lessons is full of music, activity and instruction. My twins learn a lot from her class.
Luthier Tom is great. I have had several basses worked on by him and I am totally happy with the results. I would not hesitate to have him work on any of my guitars.
Musician’s heaven
Awesome place, great prices, very friendly and helpful.
Nice place
Great selection, nice staff
Great place, tons of cool music stuff if you into that period friendly helpful staff but only 4 stars because they could use some more help. Waited entirely too long to get my monitor headset
This place is really unbelievably terrible I had got warranty and some head phones and they couldn’t exchange them or do the warranty money returned
I tried with them way to many times to get them
This is 45 min drive from my home and everytime I go over there it’s completely bad help.
Why buy the warranty with you guys if I can’t return it with you guys
They sent me to call the manufacturer just to get a fake message pending to my email I have no time to keep going back and fourths and it’s been a lost of almost five hundred dollars and time
I’m just so dissatisfied with how this was handled.
And to the rude talkative guy that’s Spanish
I can tell you extremely don’t like doing your job
I appreciate you hanging up my call 2 times why’ll asking for your general manager.Just goes to show a lot about this company.
This place has some really unpleasant employees who are snobby and not much help. They are also very slow to get you out the door. I can deal with that since I typically don’t have questions for store employees. However, this place doesn’t stock very much. The Hallendale Guitar Center has better employees and WAAAAAY more stuff in stock than the Coconut Creek store.
The piano teacher is nice. The staff is friendly, but the customer service is bad. The person responsible for lessons is never available. They will have you wait half hour to speak to someone who will never show up. I booked several Keyboard lessons and I have never received any written contract from them. They just provided verbal information and never sent any reminder. We ended up missing 2 lessons and they refused to refund the money. I am no longer booking lessons with them.
School of Rock is great! My son has developed musical talents and made new friends along the way. I would recommend this school for anyone with an interest in music!
