We are about to move to Penrose, I absolutely love this place! Charming and tasty! It will become my family hangout for sure!
Just had coffee although I was tempted to get some food. Excellent! I had the 12oz Shot in the Dark. I will definitely return. Maybe even a picture for once lol.
Parking: Plenty.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ehh
This is one of our favorite “date places” to go in Fremont County. The coffee is always great, and they have a wide variety of delicious and healthy food options.
Food and customer service is great. During the morning rush the drive through can be very slow.
In the middle of nowhere coming around the bend there’s a coffee shop called coyote Coffee Den. He has a drive-up window it has it inside so you can go and sit some tables Google covered patio and also tables at set up in the back got a great atmosphere I ordered a large french vanilla coffee excellent bacon egg and cheese bagel bacon was crisp a lot of cheese that sandwich was amazing place has a lot of trees around a lot of shade great place you get down to Canyon City you got to stop there
Stopped here for coffee and breakfast on the way out of Canon City (visiting friends), and on our way towards Georgetown, CO. It had an interesting name, seemingly a nice setting, and was well-reviewed, so we gave it a go. And glad we did! The food and coffee were very good, and there was plentiful seating on their lovely patio. The surrounding scenery was delightful. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a unique and relaxing location for an early meal.
It was a very good meal
They over charged my CC. I called and talked to the owner and he told me that is was my bank USAA who charged my account 2 times but after talking to the bank they showed me where some person ran my CC 2. different times on same day. Owner stated never happens with his employees. Very Intrigued…
Usually love this place. Have taken friends and family from out of town and they love it too. Not impressed with the customer service. After we placed our $75+ order which we are always generous in supporting local and tipping , a girl that worked there came up to us and informed us someone else on the phone had just called and wanted two bear claws and told us we had to order something else. We had already purchased our order so how is it okay to come up and tell us she is giving it to another customer that ordered after us? She made us pick something else and didn’t give any other reasoning. I’m sorry I know
It’s just a pastry but I found it very rude and unsettling. I’ve worked in customer service for years and I would never give up my tables order for someone who called on the phone. Would like to see management correct this before I come back
Update : the same young blonde girl left our food sit there and get cold for 20 minutes while we were waiting to go. She has come up to my boyfriend and I so she has to know it was his order as he sat and waited the entire time. Honestly disappointed and annoying experience.
2. Train Depot Antiques
Address: 311 Broadway, Penrose, CO 81240 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
If you live in the area or are just driving through, make sure to swing by this cute little shop. I met the sweetest lady while shopping and she honestly made my day!
Love this place
Drove for an hour to check it out and arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday they were closed!!
3. Elledge Music Inc.
Address: 518 W Northern Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
Damien is the best luthier in Pueblo. I will bring in more guitars for him to tune-up. He’s very professional and knows his trade. I highly recommend Elledge Music. Five stars.
Great customer service
Nice owner. Friendly place. Very helpful.
It’s great when they are open, but there have been many times when I show up well within the store’s hours (3:00) and they have already closed for the day. I would give them a full five stars if they stuck to their advertised hours.
Really nice man who’ll help you with anything owns this place. Been in Pueblo forever!
Music store is very messy with a poor selection of instruments. Repair shop is questionable.
Not very helpful he dont know what he’s selling.
The gentleman who runs the store is very nice. However, whomever works on the guitars doesn’t know what he’s doing. I dropped off my Fender Stratocaster for a setup. I keep it downtuned a semi tone. It came back in standard tune with a horrible low E buzz. It just sounded terrible. The action was super low and intonation was way off. So much for a “professional” setup. I took it to Guitar Center for a real professional setup. They told me I was the third person this month with complaints about Elledge. Classic “you get what you pay for” situation.
4. Music Go Round Colorado Springs
Address: 410 W Fillmore St, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
Found a great new guitar staff help and answered questions and I was in and out.
Friendly staff, variety in used guitar gear
Took my visually impaired friend for guitar accessories, first time visiting this store. Looks like a quaint little shop. Comfortable atmosphere. Being a drummer my mouth was salivating a bit. Stop by see for yourself. Located east of Interstate 25 on Fillmore, North side.
This place is a bunch of thieves they prayed on my wife not knowing anything about the special edition bc rich warbeast with the cream finish she brought in that had never even had the case open and only have her 200 for it after works I called multiple other vendors to see if they had just used her inexperience to steal from her and the consensus was that they should have ok the low end paid her 600 these people are scum that prey of those with not alot of knowledge in musical instrument and should be utterly ashamed!
October 2019 Sold me UNDISCLOSED DAMAGED equipment online through the Internet. They packed it extremely well. Shipping box was not damaged in anyway So it was damaged when they packaged it October 2019. They did offer refund but they’re not willing to pay the shipping for their product that was damaged (MY LOSS) Always verify the physical & working condition with your own eyes “never take a salesmans word for it“… I’m the Fool… other than that “LOVE MUSIC GO ROUNDS”!!
I called the store asked if they were taken in drum sets I load the car take it all the way down there take two pieces in the store and another guy says oh we’re not taking drum sets today how high can the employees be in the store this is wrong to have somebody go down there for no reason so my advice to you if you got something to sell don’t take it to them take it somewhere with employees still have brains in their head
5. Marck Time Music
Address: 2318 Jones Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
Great place to rent instruments. Local, which we love.
Good little “mom and pop” shop. The staff is friendly and remembers faces. However you will get scolded if you take to much time off practicing and coming in for restock. (Strings, reeds etc. )
Nice people.
The lady’s there are nice.
Have a child that wants to learn how to play a instrument ? Saw the price and thought no way I can make it happen and what if the stop trying or think something else would be more in their lane? Marck Time was my choice. Have payment plans that are reasonable. Repair, sheet music. They know what Dist.60 has going on in their programs and more . Good service and competitive pricing. How much less would the world be without music?
Located across from Pueblo School for Arts and Science.
Closed for vacation
Dropped off a clarinet for servicing. Waited 2.5 weeks and herd nothing from this shop. Went on to check on it and was told the man that does the work on instruments was out and it would be a few more days. Waited another week. No one called us. Went back to check on it and was told he would look at it in the next 2 days. Waited 3 days and no call again. Went to the shop to pick it up. Told them someone was supposed to service the instrument and it’s been a month we have waited and no one has even called us. The lady just stood there looking lost. Almost like she didn’t know where she was. Take your instrument elseware to have it serviced. This shop needs new management, badly.
Good takes from this. The shop is very clean and neat. The people that run it are very friendly. I really hate to see such a well maintained LOCAL business in this shape. I do hope they can correct whatever is weong internally.
My family has purchased many instruments from this provider, and I still got stiffed. I traded in 2 moderate level open holed flutes and put an $800.00 deposit on a flute and the owner stiffed me. She charged me full price for the flute and did not even give me a trade in value for the flute that i traded in. I am almost 100% certain they also gave me the wrong flute. I paid this flute off, but i am extremely upset.
Please reach out to me to me for different instrument providers. I live in Colorado Springs and there are several places up here that I can provide to you!
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!
6. Music & Arts
Address: 2872 N Powers Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
Great service! My son has been interested in playing the drums for a few years now, and Jordon (I believe that was his name) went above and beyond to help me pick out learning resources, sticks, and everything my son needed to get started. He also offered to setup a free trial lesson with the drum instructor for us which was very considerate! I will definitely be back when the time comes to get a drum kit.
I went in to buy a Roland RP102 keyboard and they only had the floor model and I wanted a new unit. Tristan couldn’t find one on their order system so he bent over backward to put me in an upgraded keyboard the RP107. Great customer service. I am excited for it to arrive.
Really nice little store with many price points for guitars and other instruments. Will was a huge help. He was polite,
friendly, knowledgeable. I will differently do my business here. Will took the time to answer my questions. If you need to rent an instrument for school or buy one this is your place. They also offer
music lessons and clinics. A+
Very nice service l and I got an epic instrument
Great time getting my daughter to handle different guitars. Very knowledgeable.
2nd Update- they refunded all the missed lessons and the lady I worked with, Erin, couldn’t have been nicer. I just feel like this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I still caution readers to watch your bill closely. Document any missed lessons and if you don’t do a make up lesson, make sure you get a credit.
Update – after 4 months of lessons, I am not very happy with this place. The teacher seems fine but they are less than honest with their book keeping. The teacher has had to cancel several times, we had a snow day and we had to cancel once. We didn’t receive any of the 5 credits due to us. I had to call and alert them to this issue. I am now waiting a resolution. However, it makes me wonder how many other people they’ve done this to and how much extra money they make this way. I’m very disappointed. If you take lessons here or are considering it, check your bill closely every month.
I have a child taking lessons here. It’s ok but nothing special. My older child took lessons at a different place and it was a much better experience. If you’re looking for instruments, they have a very small selection. Mostly guitars and a few keyboards. I can’t pinpoint anything wrong, it’s just not the friendliest place. When they didnt have the lesson book the teacher told me to get, they didnt even offer to order it or tell me where I could get it.
My recent experience with Music and Arts was not very pleasent, they came to canon city to sell books and instruments to student and teachers in band across canon city, I walk in to where I was told along with the rest of the canon schools that they’d be ready at 5:30 when I went in they were not ready and we’re not polite when telling me that they weren’t ready they were also rude when we were confused at the price if the book because I was told it would be $5 just like last year, I hope you can understand why I am not happy.
Worst company in Colorado Springs. Do not sign contract with them or do any business what so ever. They charge my account after the account was closed and refuse to get me any refund. Their excuse is that their system is new and it is backed up. Basically they treat people like they are idiots. When I first started with them they say that if class is cancelled they would issue refund and I am still waiting for 3 classes of refund after I have been promised that they will posted a week ago. They will tell you that corporate does that, but they are lying. Their corporate office told me that the refund has to be issued in the store. The store apologized and said that they cannot do that and ticket has to be summited and that was 11 days ago. The company is runned by bunch of crooks on local level who just want to take you money and have no intention of giving you the money back.
Do not do business with this company. U get a brand new instrument and when it comes time when u have $2000 of rental credit they want to say u can only have this instrument with a hole in it at a $1000. I don’t think so. Also with lessons they don’t cancel your Lessons when u cancel them weeks in advance and then charge u for it. They are horrible company. Don’t even do lessons with this company they cancel them and don’t tell you and don’t refund you the money or credit you. This company has gone way down hill it the year and this has become the worst.

8. Dally Bar & Grill
Address: 506 9th St, Penrose, CO 81240 , Penrose , Colorado , United States
Great food, friendly staff, and nice ambience. Only complaint is that you can’t order from the dinner menu until after 4:00 p.m. ☺
Just had a delicious lunch at Dally Bar and Grill! Service was great and the owner stopped by to say hi! Highly recommended!
Kudos to Dally Bar & Grill on good service, and delicious food!
Highly recommend the Father’s Day special, ribeye steak with 2 eggs and toast. My ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly, along with a side order of hash browns for my eggs, it was delicious.
My husband had the breakfast burger with everything except Mayo on it, and he was a very happy camper with his BBQ sauce in place of ketchup, (you can get either one).
The staff were friendly, and made sure that we were taken care of.
We’ll definitely be back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great stop. Great food and great service
Some if us gals met from work. Jade was our waitress. She did a great job. Food was good.
Just ok, what you expect a road side diner to be. I won’t make an effort to go back.
It taste like nursing home food very bland
The food is pretty horrible, and the prices are outrageous. Spent 15 bucks on a Buffalo chicken sandwich that was made with canned chicken. You couldn’t pay me to go back
First time eating here the food was pretty good the waitress needs alittle more training but the reason I am giving it one star is because the arcade games were two and three dollars a play which is robbery they should be 50 cents if not free to play but two dollars for a big game hunting game with plastic guns it just doesn’t sit right that they would up the price that much so we won’t be going back anytime soon
