Friendly staff, great prices. In addition they always have seasonal items and discounts on the out going things.
Not much selection to chose from but what they do have is reasonably priced and the evening workers are very pleasant and helpful in the Pine Grove store.
It’s close to home
You can find good deals. There friendly.
Very unorganized and poor management
The restroom are not open for the custom. Not recommended.
Don’t accept 100 dollar bills even if buying 70 dollars in items. Only 2 50 dollar bills or smaller. Had to just leave items there since all I had was 100 dollar bills. Very dissapointed
3. Red Baron’s Bit of Everything
Address: 20051 CA-88, Pine Grove, CA 95665 , Pine Grove , California , United States
EDIT*** As per the new owners reply, my review would pertain only to the old store. Interested to see the new store next time I am in town!
Original Review*** Let’s be clear, this is not a place you will find valuables sold at absurdly low prices. As a thrift store, it offers many old, used, and often broken items that may be garage sale left overs. The VHS and DVD collection is formidable, as is the section for survival and “prepper” equipment. Our biggest surprise was the volume of State of Jefferson flags and stickers on hand. If you were looking for some of those, head to this shop.
Sue is great and everything is priced lower than what the value is.
Awesome store, wish it was open more there have been several times I have gone by which I would have purchased something and it was closed.
Very filling food I would definitely recommend trying it. There is a downside because of flys. I know there was going to ne flys but there is a whole lot even outside. The bacak door to the kitchen was open too. My Italian sausage with a little bit small. Besides that I would come again.
She sold a chair I already paid for. Did refund my money. Update.. That was old owner, haven’t been yet with new owner.
5. Guy’s Saw Center
Address: 19965 CA-88, Pine Grove, CA 95665 , Pine Grove , California , United States
I WAS EXCITED, as soon as I walked in the door. Equipment, equipment, equipment. If you’re cutting, chopping, mowing, blowing anything in the yard or on the property. I’m sure Guy’s Saw Center has the right tools, to do the job right…
Awesome store
Awesome employees they have been helping us for years with weed eaters saws etc. they know what they are doing and can help you out.
Great selection and service.
Everything you need for outdoor work
Helpful, friendly, informative. No complaints in the service department but prices are kind of steep.
Didn’t have what I needed they never seem to have parts I need I have yet to find parts there. I usually order on line.
Very disappointed. Will never go back to even purchase “anything” from them. My experience today.. I took my Toto Lawn mower to them because it would not start. The young lady was nice..even helped me to unload the mower. The young man asked. Did you purchase that from us? I said I did not remember but did not think so.. He replied..”We are not taking in any more business on products not purchased thru them.” It must be nice to have such a volume of business that they can turn people away. I guess we need a new mower service company in town.
6. Jim and Patty’s Art and Collectibles
Address: 19763 CA-88, Pine Grove, CA 95665 , Pine Grove , California , United States
Great place for a little bit of everything, nice staff
Very helpful folks.
everything I needed Very friendly and if you can’t find something just ask they will gladly show you where it is Excellent inventory
Great local store I always check with them. If they got what I need it’s 6 mins from home and their prices are good for a smaller store. They help you find stuff which saves time.
Not open until 5 as Google states, at least not on Sundays. Got seriously rushed through at a few minutes before 4, ended up with the wrong item and now have to go back in the morning. Another 40 minutes in the car just because the owner wanted to avoid helping a customer for a few extra minutes. I still really want to like this store but not a good experience.
Everything one could want in a hardware store. Conversation kits, the right part not a whole new chingadara. Most important is a staff that can and will answer your queries with experience and knowledge.
8. Giannini’s Italian Dinners
Address: 19845 CA-88, Pine Grove, CA 95665 , Pine Grove , California , United States
Food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Get over here and dine in for an incredible Italian dinning experience..
Tons of food! You get soup, salad, and bread plus your dinner! Wonderful family owned restaurant. Nice people!
Really good authentic Italian food. Cozy Italian restaurant atmosphere. Fun and relaxing.
Pretty good all around, ordered 3 meals and all were pleasing. To customers I definitely recommend the meatballs, to staff I’d recommend an extra meatball and maybe a little less noodle, also try and get ALL the runny watery sauce thickened. 2 of my 3 plates were a little watery, not so bad I wanted it remade, but that’s my recommendation.
They tried. The veal was over cooked , the calamari was cooked perfect but Tayler tasteless
Service, food and atmosphere was great.
The atmosphere is such that one can feel comfortable dressing up or dressing simply. The service and staff were very friendly and attentive without being bothersome.
I wouldn’t call the food exceptional, but it was very, very good.
Every meal comes with soup, salad and bread, all of which are large enough to make a meal on its own.
I had the lasagna which was great, and the wife had the chicken scallopini which she also enjoyed very much.
We also ordered the tomato bruschetta which was nice and fresh and had a nice flavor.
The portions will not leave you wanting more.
Highly recommended for a great Italian meal in the area.
Worst service I’ve had in years! I am a local and have dined here many times. Recently my parents are visiting from out of state and decided to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary at Giannini’s. Long story short our meal was ended up abruptly by the staff turning off the Italian music, blaring the song ‘closing time’ from the bar, not offering dessert and staff starting to vacuum before our table was cleared of entrées. When I spoke with the manager, she seemed ambivalent.
When we arrived at 7:30 ( an hour before they close the doors to serving) only one other table occupied. Due to the slow visits by the single server on staff, we did not receive our 4 entrées until after 8:15. Our services was slow, but nice and I would not be posting this poor review if not for the shabby treatment at the end of our meal.
Not impressed with this restaurant at all. We’ve been 7 times, only because my husband likes it.it’s close for us to go to and each time we go I’m hopeful that I’ll actually be good for a change. the food is “Bland” I had their Chicken Cacciatore it was the worst I’ve ever had! The Chicken tasted like it had bad freezer burn, and the red sauce they use hardly has any flavor TOO IT.
Do yourself a favor, & Save yourself some $$$, try Teresa’s place, or “gasp” Strings!
We seated and the waitress computer kept freezing she finally came back w/ pencil and paper to take order. I ordered lasagna it had burnt scrapes of I don’t know in it. Sent back and was told by waitress cook said there’s nothing they could do. So I didn’t eat. They were out of product on menu. Supplier problem. The only thing they did do was give m mother in law a free spumoni (?sp)for her birthday. And I paid $178 for our party of 6. Not worth it.
