The staff at this particular Publix really seems to enjoy their jobs and really want to help the customers. It’s not a big store, but the staff makes it perfect.
Smaller than other Publix markets, but still has enough of what one needs, including some organic and specialty needs. Friendly staff.
It’s a groceries store. It dose not use the upside app to save money. For that you have to go a couple of miles to winn Dixie
The store is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
No cash at self checkout??? the whole point of self check out is so you don’t have to do converse with the cashier. In and out, more of a pain to take all my belongings to a register. The lady said because the machine gives incorrect change… so fix the machines? This publix is awful, Winn Dixie is much better than publix. Also your sushi is always rotting in the case, never fresh sushi, even on $5 sushi Wednesday, you never have fresh food?
5 items $50 dollars later is always the joke in my family
Ii went in for a snack and left with nothing. Shocked at outrageous prices. $5.00 potato chips. What kind of person pays that?
I take lessons here. The people are amazing, it’s a very welcoming environment.
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
Instructor was playing on his phone while my son was in his lesson and the front desk is rude and incompetent.
Sad to say one of the worst experiences as a consumer I’ve ever had. I’m a 47 year old new drummer (less than a year) who bought a Simmons electronic kit from a private sale. My ride cymbal stopped working and I went here for help with troubleshooting the problem, remember I’m new! The employee that initially helped me was AWESOME! I explained the problem, he offered a possible solution that I hadn’t thought of, and even pulled up Simmons site to offer more help. The owner very impatiently and abruptly interuppted, told his employee “he can wait”, as the owner motioned my direction, and instructed him to handle a phone call!!! Since when do you interrupt a customer in your store, standing right in front of you, who may end up purchasing something to handle a phone call!?!?!?!?!? The owner very impatiently and disinterested listened to my story, looked at his computer, ran the cursor over the “800 number ” for Simmons and said ” I don’t carry or service Simmons products, you’ll have to call customer support”. I was half way out the door as he was saying this!!! Kudos to the employee for attempting to help a new musician!!! But PATHETIC service from the owner. So what they don’t carry simmons?! Maybe someday I’ll be ready to upgrade to a fancy electronic or acoustic kit and need a good store. NOT THIS PLACE EVER!!! I LOVE to support local business instead of big box stores, but Educators will never get a dime from me.
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!
6. Total Music Source
Address: 901 East Industrial Circle #10, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They did not try to sell me a more expensive instrument than I needed. Great selection of musical instruments and accessories. I had researched the price and they were right on target. My experience was very good.
Amazing place
We’ve been shopping there for a number of years now. It’s great that they have a wherehouse on the premises because you might have to check several instruments until you find the perfect one! They are very accommodating and have even brought a display of their ukuleles to our jams. The owners are nice, dedicated and friendly.
They sent me a different banjo than I ordered the one they sent me was $30 cheaper I could have bought it anywhere and they refused to give me a creditor answer my emails be careful when buying from the store
I came in here with my friends interested in a particular product, only to find out that this stores prices are completely outrageous. Will gladly take my business elsewhere.
not good enough store, 2/10
7. Cadence Music, Inc.
Address: 5215 Ramsey Way, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
Excellent service. I accomplished what I came for. Todd’s knowledge is outstanding.
Thank you.
Abe
Just purchased a horn from these guys! Helpful, quick and easy. I’ll be back!
Amazing Customer Service – we now have 2 instruments – both excellent
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument

They help the community tremendously,. GED programs it’s excellent. They really know there community needs.
Love to recycle or upcycle outfits with the great things you can find here!
Great little consignment store
Two brothers share their love of music with families on Monday evenings. Children, parents and grandparents may try many different instruments in a positive, happy environment.
He always has an hair extensions collection of older women clothing
Cute little thrift store
I felt bad after visiting this place. The old lady clerk seemed contemptuous and had an air of entitlement that was very unwelcoming. I won’t donate or patronize a place where the clerks are as unpleasant as she was.
Update your google hours! What a waste of a drive!
These guys know how to rock let me tell you . You can tell they really spend the time to perfect they’re craft they never miss a lick , And the singer wow so much energy and stage presence. Definitely gonna see the next hung jury show!!

Best shop on the island. Super helpful and knowledgeable owners.
Great store lots of gifts to take home , local made crafts rods reels this is must stop and see
Can’t be happier to have such a well stocked tackle and bait shop a short golf cart ride from home! The staff are all locals who fish, which means customer service is excellent as well.
Getting better every month. Owner customer driven and the rest of the staff is knowledgeable as well as helpful.
Very clean and friendly
Completely stocked

Was able to purchase a guitar I wanted for a while at a great price employees very helpful and knowledgeable
I only stop in for strings, but maveric grill is right around the corner, gotta get a gyro, they’re the BEST
Pick-up option is easy and quick.
Seran muy caras las clases! De guitarra??
Lots of inventory and teasonable prices. Nicely laid out with studio spaces for testing.
Very good, even though I didn’t buy it was a good shopping experience.
Waited 15 minutes at I guess was the counter, then left.
I wished to look at an acoustic guitar. The salesman acted like I was bothering him to have to unlock it and take it from the wall. Then he walked off and I never saw him again. Guess I’ll buy my next guitar from Sweetwater .
guitar tech was very quick to tell me to take my guitar somewhere else when all i wanted was some help with action, withing 2 mins of his time he suggested i take it somewhere else 2 times, what a joke of a place
13. Mr Music, Inc.
Address: 12951 Metro Pkwy #3, Fort Myers, FL 33966 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
I have been taking lessons from Mr. Music for two year now. I can’t speak more highly of the entire staff. David, the owner, is a very nice man, and very interested in your success. Bob, who handles a lot of the bookings, is easy to work with, and very consistent to deal with. Danny, my instructor, is amazing. I would highly recommend Mr. Music. Feel free to ask me questions about my experience. I have been to several other instructors and there is no comparison.
I’ve had a great instructor at Mr. Music and bought a new guitar there as well as having some restringing done. I’m very satisfied with the personnel and service—Good doing business with theml
Great place, very friendly owners who will help you with every musical instrument need you might have. Also Mr.Music is one of the best places for music lessons Carl the guitar teacher is one best around definitely highly recommended.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
14. WD Music Products Inc.
Address: 17570 N Tamiami Trail #1, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
Had a tough time finding a tortoise shell pickguard for my 2014 SG Standard. WD had a nice selection of custom colors and graphics. Reasonably priced, shipped fast, and most importantly – looks great and fits perfectly
Great people. Thanks Larry!
Great store. Very knowledgeable luthier.
I love this place! Always willing to give me a good deal. They have everything! A great experience.
I went in looking for a guitar. They seem to do most of their business on repair, not sales. They have a couple dozen acoustic guitars of lower quality. Some looked used but were not labeled that way. Guy behind the counter never really took any interest in helping.
Great customer service
Went to this place to get Locking tuners and the more I talk the higher the price went seem like they’re just out to get money not to really want to help people I would suggest guitar center or any other place other than Wd guitar The employees are very rude and not very helpful in fact I almost got into a Physical fight with the one overweight guy that works there I would never go back there not in 1 million years
I purchased a WD Music Products bridge for my Gibson SG. The product as faulty from the manufacturer. It was loose fitting, the screws for the plate were stripped and so tightly put in they could not be removed, and the holes for those screws were not milled deep enough so the plate rattled even after installation. I called WD Music Products to try to discuss a solution and their accountant answered the phone and after I explained the problem she told me there was nothing they could do to help and when I asked to speak to someone else there she refused and then hung up on me. This was a terrible experience and they stole my money and left me with a piece of junk
If your pickguard fits, it’ll look great; if there’s any problem, don’t expect a resolution or even an acknowledgement.
Ordered a pickguard, came promptly, liked the look – turns out it didn’t exactly fit the bass, despite serial number being a match for model and year. A “close miss” like this wouldn’t be a dealbreaker in many cases, but in this case, raised chrome parts means the pickguard can’t be installed at all without a proper fit. Over the course of a month, I’ve tried contacting WD through their online return/exchange form, email, and phone+voicemail regarding the problem, and have received no reply whatsoever. I’m open to discussing the issue, covering handling/restocking costs, etc., but the total lack of response is very disheartening and rude. Very disappointed.
DJ Noel did an amazing job at our wedding this past Saturday 11-13-21 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. From the moment we had our first phone call with him we knew he was going to provide us with a great experience because on that call he outlined our entire reception for us. Once we hired him, he continued to ask questions, send us worksheets & always promptly got back to our emails & calls. Through this he was able to understand our vision for the night. Music was very important to us, we provided him with specific music and styles for each portion of our day. He was able to take our ideas and song request and add in additional music to fill the day. One of the sweetest parts was DJ Noel showing us how to do the Macarena from behind the DJ booth! On the day of our wedding Noel, was so attentive to details & ran the entire night by keeping us on our timeline to a tee. We didn’t have to worry about a thing after we got down the aisle because he kept the night flowing and on schedule. As a couple who that was very important to, we can’t thank him and recommend him enough!
16. Pine Island Community Church
Address: 5320 Doug Taylor Cir, St James City, FL 33956 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
Good deals, nice friendly environment…Staff is awesome..
Love going now people are great and prices are great
I had made several donations to their thrift store to aid in the good work they do for the Island community.
There is a staff member named Mel. She is as nice a person as you could meet. Helpful, kind. I met her the first time i went there. Next time i went she remembered me & adressed me by name. The other lady who checks you out at register is not so nice. She has an attitude and only chit chats w/ the guys or people she feels like being decent to. She could take a few lessons from Mel. Otherwise a grwat place to help find bargains. People need these places to help them survive. Thank you.
Nice church
Great thriftstore
These people NEVER answer there phones. It’s quite irritating when you have a scheduled appointment for a pick up and you can’t get a hold of anyone to confirm it and then you have no idea what time they will show up, if they even show up. They say morning- it’s now afternoon and still can not get a hold of ANYONE!
I was there this morning and was told there was a king size bed and framed for sale I went and picked up a truck and trailer and came back and then was told it was not for sale the lady bought it a few days ago and just has not picked it up the lady who bought it worked there and didn’t tell anybody that she bought it so everybody there this morning told me it was for sale I was so excited because my bed broke and now I’m without a bed thanks to them
17. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
I’ve been taking piano lessons here for a month now (with Carol, who is absolutely lovely!!), and I’ve met both Jay and Kay, who are very kind and helpful. I love their store, it’s very welcoming, and I enjoy my time there every time I come. I always look forward to coming and seeing their friendly faces.
As for Carol, she’s extremely sweet, and I love my time with her. Half an hour is too short! She keeps me on track with what I want to learn, while also teaching me theory since I’ve never had a foundation. She keeps it fun and does a great job of telling me kindly when I do something incorrectly, and showing me the correct way, along with ways to remember for the future.
As I said before, I greatly anticipate every week, usually before I even leave the lesson I’m currently at 🙂
I am an Interior Designer and have a client who is taking possession of a baby grand piano. We were concerned about the amount of echo in the space. I originally called another piano store to ask my questions. They were not helpful and came across as too busy for me. So, I called Jay & Kay’s and spoke to Jay. He spent several minutes with me on the phone answering my questions and was very helpful. Thanks Jay!!! I will recommend you to any client who needs your services.
Wonderful experience. Nice selection of Roland keyboards and pianos. Jay is very knowledgeable and I’m thrilled with my purchase. I highly recommend them.
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
This is more of a music school than a music store if that makes sense. Sure, there is some sheet music and instruments for sale, but it’s obvious that they are for the student teacher relationship. The staff guy was pretty nice to me and I got a good vibe of the place though, just not really my cup of tea
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
18. Trader’s Hitching Post
Address: 4547 Pine Island Rd C, Matlacha, FL 33993 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
I absolutely love this business and the owners. I waited so patiently for them to reopen after hurricane Ian. I celebrated my one year to the community with a ring I saw before. Cindy was amazing. You should go check her out and say hello to the shop pups.
Very unique hand made jewelry items
Great little shop
She was happy so I can’t complain
Worth a look
Lots of cool turquoise jewelry.
This store has a most inappropriate and offensive ‘stuffed Indian’ dummy propped up in a chair out front – complete with boots – sunglasses- long black hair wig – cowboyhat and a mask of a stereotypical American Indian face ~ •and its owner doesn’t care one bit that this is politically incorrect and disrespectful to First Nations people to do this < the stuff being sold isn’t from local natives ~ it’s from out West – because the local idigenous peoples were forcefully removed many years ago – and replaced by Old White folks and tourists who could care less about the areas original inhabitants and more about Ice cream – hamburgers and stuff to buy on vacation . Stereotypical minutiae in my opinion – lousy service and second hand South West jewelry by some non NDN dude in FL <
Take down that ridiculous fake Indian guy prop out front Sir ~ please – it is offensive ….
19. Revolution Records
Address: 1031 Cape Coral Pkwy E #101, Cape Coral, FL 33904 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
This place rocks! A true rock n’ roll and blues and jazz and pop celebration of music in the cape! ✨✨✨✨✨
This shop is all about the experience and it shows. Welcoming environment with a well curated clean selection. Super clean with great decor on the walls.
Then you meet Jason. The super friendly owner that carry’s great conversation while allowing you to browse comfortably.
A must stop record shop. Truly one of the best I’ve been to In The US!
Awesome selection here from cassettes and records to CDs. I love this place. I find at least 5 new CDs every time I go in here. The manager is real friendly and accommodating. The only issue is that the hours listed online are not necessarily when this place is actually open. I call when they are supposed to be open to see if they’re open but no one answers. It just rings out. No vm.
Great atmosphere and a pretty good selection of vinyl. I’d love to see more jazz. The owner is very personable and engaging.
Great store. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because he doesn’t have everything I want. With that being said he will order whatever you would like.
Horrible staff. Very judgmental.
20. Cutting Ties Salon
Address: 5465 Pine Island Rd #1a, Bokeelia, FL 33922 , Pine Island Center , Florida , United States
Definitely recommend! Vicki took a lot of extra time, getting me the color that I was hoping for. I was on vacation… and went in for a last minute color and cut, before heading to another destination. I’m super happy with my hair, but the real gems are Vicki and Dottie, who make everyone who walks through the door feel like a lifetime friend.
Thank you ladies so much! It may have been just a couple of hours… but, you made an impression… that will last a lifetime. Xoxo
