Kathrine, Daniel and Chris are all great to work with.. A highly recommend.
Great service every time I have been there.
Very surprised! Went looking for some some used records left with a bundle. I’m definitely going back. The guy who was working the shop at the time was helpful and knowledgeable.
Good instructors. Plenty of inventory to shop.
Great place to find IEMs, headphones, Guitars, Speakers, Pianos, and more!
The customer service is awful I definitely won’t be back there every again
Had to make a quick stop to grab a few things. I know it was closing time. I was trying to make it quick. When they started harassing my husband reminding him when they close he left and we took our business somewhere else. Customers want to feel welcomed, not reminded how unfortunate you are to have to lock the door right at 5:00.
4. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Touro , Georgia , United States
First review i have done and it is worth it. I have had nothing but great experiences when i visited Town Center. The manager/owner Aaron and the staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure i left happy. They carry great brands and make you feel like you’re apart of the crew. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for music gear from beginners to professionals. Thank you Town Center!
We’ve been coming to TCM since March when we bought our son his first guitar from Mr. John Michael. We were so impressed from our first experience and that satisfaction has only grown over the past 7 months as each week we stop in for lessons, a nice chat, guitar advice, and a restring/neck adjustment over the summer. Everyone there is super knowledgeable and kind. They have a wide range of price points for anyone from beginner to expert. His guitar teacher, Mr. Greg, is a fun and gifted musician. My husband and I are amazed by how quickly our son has been able to learn both technique and music and play real songs from his favorite bands. TCM, you have earned our business for life. We highly recommend!!
Great place! I get clarinet reeds from the store time to time, and the workers are always very kind and helpful. Overall great place to shop for your musical needs.
Taught my kids to play guitar
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Good
Took down my review. Owner ultimately seemed to care about his customers. Too bad everything is so politically incorrect. Anyone still remember Archie Bunker?
But to clarify what idiot would try to exchange something opened, like a reed.
Amazon prime still winnnning.
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
Store is dirty poor selection not real big
5. Firehouse Guitars & Music

One of the best places to get anything for your guitars or your music needs they also offer guitar lessons
Awesome local music store! I always try to buy my gear here to support the local small business. The staff are super awesome and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend getting your gear or repairs here.
Helpful and knowledgeable
This is a pretty good little store. I bought my guitar and amp here
Rip off.go elsewhere. I use to really like bringing my daughter here but they must be under new management. Prices have gotten ridiculous!!!
6. Retrotone Guitars
Address: 5427 Martha Berry Hwy, Armuchee, GA 30105 , Touro , Georgia , United States
This shop is great. Well stocked locally owned shop with good instruments from entry level to expert. They are friendly, professional, honest, and very helpful to the customers. Five stars all the way to Josh and his staff. Well worth stopping by and browsing the inventory.
Close to the house, fast quality service, friendly staff, and great atmosphere in the store. Definitely will be coming here for all my guitar needs!
I walked in not knowing what to expect and found a friendly and knowledgable staff, as well as the guitar I’ve been looking for. Thanks again for all your help and for my first Martin.
7. Rockys Music

Great store, nice people.
The absolute best music store! The owners are beyond knowledgeable about any music situation you could have. They are very friendly and very helpful. Rockys Music carrys many name brands and even carry Rockys signature Lyman guitars. Highly recommend this place!
Do not in fact open at 10.
8. Randy Wood Guitars
Address: 1304 US-80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302 , Touro , Georgia , United States
Live blue grass, six rows of seats, max of 100 people. Can’t beat it.
Very pleased with the repair work on my Martin.
A great experience and affordable too.
Good selection and good customer service
Got a fret dress done thinking the buzz was coming from the frets but it was actually coming from the tail piece so wont be able use the guitar in any pro recording environment until I can get a new stoptail installed. after 2 repairs from them I wish someone would have noticed the tail piece was bent causing a high pitch sitar like sound because of how the strings were sitting on the bent tail piece.
Had a Gibson SG refinished here and it was terrible. Very patchy and uneven coverage. Worst of all was the headstock. I am a little perplexed though, they have many great reviews and other great pictures. The folks there were nice, decent selection of guitars for sale, no other complaints. I’m not sure why my guitar came out so bad.
Terrible service and terrible work.
Would never recommend to anyone.
Stay away!
9. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Touro , Georgia , United States
Good service and knowledgeable guys. I’m going back.
Their cordial staff was an eye-opener; I haven’t experienced such expertise in one’s craft until I walked into that store. On a Saturday, one staff member was even helpful enough to call up a rep, who only works on weekdays, to answer my questions, and he did so willingly and insisted on not hanging up until I was more than satisfied.
Best experience I like how they are
Good service
They have fair prices and a mini guitar-center-like selection of guitars. My only complaint is I felt pushed to make a sale when I looked at guitars.
Always pleasant – always professional and it’s been that way since I moved into the area!
I’ve read some of the complaints here and I’ve not had those experiences and I shop there a couple times a year. I also understand how smaller music stores value the integrity of their new products by trying to limit maring the guitar finish with picks. You wanna do that you’re right- go to Guitar Center.
First rate staff and ownership and first rate lessons with an experienced staff!
I’ll keep going back!
I come here for instrument repairs. I’m a professional musician that need his instrument asap. Mark at this location always fixes my sax perfectly. I’m going for a repad in the next two weeks
If I could give zero or lower stars I would. My son’s saxophone gave him problems from the start. I was told on 4 occasions to bring it in. Today Brandon told me he would finally be in, he wasn’t. When I didn’t understand the question to do you have others I could look at, he responded “I have two eyes”. Rude beyond belief! Never again Jackson Music and I’ll make sure to share this with the band families at all the schools I work with as an administrator. Horrible customer service! UPDATE: The nice woman owner called and apologized. I forgive her and believe she doesn’t condone that type behavior.
My music teacher wants me to have a metronome. Went in looking for a metronome. They didn’t have any, which was odd for a music store, but I wasn’t upset about it. On my way out, another associate clarified that they don’t carry metronomes because most people simply use their phones; totally reasonable. I clarified that I prefer a physical metronome, and I’d look somewhere else. The associate then told me that “professionals and real musicians use the app” and undermined my preference for a physical one. “The customer is always right” is not a maxim held by Jackson’s music. They assert that they know best, and in my experience come across as somewhat unhelpful and arrogant.
I called to see if they could do a repair on my son’s flute. They said to bring it in, they could do it but would charge an extra
20% for a rush job. I dropped it off and called in the next day to see if the repairs had been done, as my son had a Christmas concert he needed it for. I got Doug the repair man on the phone. He said he doesn’t do rush jobs and he was way to busy to deal with it. He treated me very unprofessional and they honestly don’t care about keeping anyone’s business. Please don’t waste your time here as I did.
10. Guitar Center
Address: 1901 Terrell Mill Rd Suite 600, Marietta, GA 30067 , Touro , Georgia , United States
So far was so good. Good customer service and wide selection of Gibson guitars.
Rockin’
Joey was the best.. Highly recommend excellent customer service very pleased with the knowledge and service!
Whenever I go to this Guitar Center, I feel like I can never actually get anyone to help me. And whenever I ask questions, the employees seem really annoyed. Probably won’t go back unless the need arises.
I’ve been coming here for years, the staff is always helpful and friendly, never had any real problems here. Only thing I don’t like is their stock of instruments, it has seemed to go down in quality over the past year.
Very limited supply and brands. Not very accommodating if you want to try an instrument. Why I buy elsewhere.
Worst guitar store experience of my life. Staff is worthless and never wants to help. Even the manager was disrespectful and rude.
Shopped here for years. However there were a couple of disturbing incidents in the last while. The worst was when I bought a ‘re-stocked’ FGX3. I was treated rudely (one of a few times..) as I laid my money down and bought this junk of a guitar… which to this day doen’ t play right. So, I have bought my last item from GC Marietta, Hard for me to get around since I don’ t drive and am a senior citizen. So, I was unable to return to try to get my money back… if they would have even done a refund. Be warned.
Update: 12/21/22. My issues were never resolved by Guitar Center Corp. “Your voice” or locally, A waste of time and useless email. Do not shop at GC, in particular the Marietta GA location. You will be better off and enjoy the music you wish to play.
Guitar center used to be the best and they have gone down in quality so much. None of their workers know their equipment the way they used to. And I just had such an awkward and uncomfortable experience at this location were one of the workers was trying to push microphones on to me that I kept saying we’re not the ones I wanted. He kept trying to ensure me that the one I was returning was extremely high quality sound even though it’s absolutely NOT and it’s only a high selling mic because it’s reliable and it doesn’t break and it’s cheap. It’s not a high selling mic because of its sound quality. When I talk to live sound experts they agree with me that this microphone is hype, and it only sells a lot because it will last. But these guys at guitar center always act like I’m the idiot and I don’t know what I’m talking about, probably because I’m a woman. I’m a woman with more experience in pro audio equipment than most of them. Most of these guys are not experts in equipment whatsoever, they all keep blowing out the same basic info and it’s like they are paid to only pump 4 particular brands for Audio equipment! They have become so corporate and uninformed it’s sad to see the decline.
They get two stars because the manager was nice and accommodating to my return, I could tell the manager was even uncomfortable with watching the back-and-forth between me and the employee who was trying to argue with me about mics. I literally said at some point “it’s all good, I’ll look into this on my own and come back later” and the guy kept going with opinions that I did not want to hear
Please do not trust guitar center employees with buying expensive equipment! Do your own research! Test equipment out! And truthfully… Buy from sweetwater and not from guitar Center. It’s only for convenience when you need a quick cable at this point.
11. Donley’s Music
Address: 5080 Hickory Flat Hwy, Canton, GA 30115 , Touro , Georgia , United States
Dave is one of the last few real businessmen in America. He is always fair, reasonable, and all around helpful. The work they do, and I mean all of them, is truly top notch and fantastic. I highly recommend Donley’s Music to anyone interested in music, from beginner to advanced.
Wow what a great place to shop. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful with great prices. Thanks for the help today.
Incredible restoration of a vintage Gibson L5!!! Best shape ever, very professionally done, affordable, quick turnaround and friendly to boot! What a valuable resource for the pro!
They were very nice.
Very friendly.
Donley’s , always, customer service above par but their repair tech did not mirror Donley’s reputation AT ALL. MY 9YR old niece offered to try a repair. I will probably get the same visual “quality” result BUT WOULD SAVE $100.
I tried to buy ernie ball regular slinkys and they put ernie ball super slinkys in my bag while I wasn’t paying attention. Poor selection of accessorys.
I brought my son for one month of guitar lessons. There was a break down in their process and we never received a calendar. For this I was called a liar and unethical because I told them we weren’t coming back. The owner says everyone knows this is how they do it but obviously we didn’t know. He said I was stealing money out of the instructor’s pocket. However we paid for all lessons given. The owner couldn’t acknowledge there was the possibility of a mistake (we didn’t get a calendar explaining the policies or the schedule of lessons and the girl that took my money explained it as a month to month payment system) and demanded we pay.
If he had chosen to say That there was a possibility of a mistake and asked if we could meet in the middle without calling my integrity into question then I would have probably paid. We are talking $100 but the fact that he went straight to the only reasonable explanation was that I was lying isn’t acceptable.
We went in the month of September for a total of 3 lessons. I paid for the entire month, half off because we bought a guitar. We didn’t go to a lesson last Monday (first Monday in October or today) not today. I got a text from the instructor asking if we were coming back. I told him we were not. The instructor apologized for how the owner handled the situation and told me that we didn’t owe him anything.
We will not do business here again.
These people should not be trusted with children.
12. Dirt Cheep Pro Audio & Musical Instruments
Address: 2415 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 , Touro , Georgia , United States
Great prices! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Quality service! Lots of great stuff in the store. I stop every time im close by
Awesome staff. Awesome assistance. Awesome place. Shoutout to Steve and Aaron and everyone there. I would highly recommend everyone to shop here
Very helpful and friendly staff. I was looking for an electronic tuner – because I’d been using a tuning fork since my college days – for my acoustic and one of the guys recommended one in particular and said it was what they all used. Reasonably priced and sold.
They also explained their pricing scheme to me, which was very simple. Prices ending in one set of numbers meant the item was new; another set meant it was used. I looked around their store and talked with a few of the guys until they began to close.
I thought their guitar selection was a bit limited, but they sell a mix of new and used guitars. I think most of the new acoustics were Washburns, which get excellent ratings on various sites and they seem to be a good value to boot. I’ll play around with them when and if I’m in the market for a new acoustic.
Not a lot of drumming equipment.
Great place for all musicians and those just thinking about picking up your first instrument. Nice selection and great prices can be found.
A wide of music gears available at competitive prices.
Hours are not good for shopping.
Their name says it all. I bought a new trombone from there for my son who was starting in the band. He was very proud of it and took very care of it, but within weeks, a joint came apart and we had to get it soldered back together. Not long after that, it broke again and we had to pay to get it fixed. Also the slide never seemed to work well and always makes noise and doesn’t glide well no matter how much we clean or grease it. We’ve also had that looked at a couple of times, but it keeps getting worse.
After all the trouble we had with it, I asked someone in the store about it and he told me it was just a cheap trombone. Funny they never mentioned that or how much trouble we would have with it when we bought it.
I thought we would save money over time by buying our own instrument instead of renting, but after this experience I wish we had rented. Consider how many problems and additional costs you might have if you’re in the same situation. Or maybe try a different store with better quality instruments.
I literally tried to donate a trombone that my son barely used. So that maybe a single mother or parent who may not have the money to spend could possibly benefit from it for their child. I didnt ask for any money at all. They told me they wouldnt take it. I even said id rather give it away than to throw it away. They told me they had too many. We were just trying to be a blessing to another family.

14. Music Trader
Address: 3964 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 , Touro , Georgia , United States
I was first introduced to this store by a musician friend of mine 4 years ago. I shop here regularly because you never know what your going to fine. I’ve bought used gear and had equipment repair in a timely manner. The owner is very knowledgeable about music equipment. I appreciate you sir for your knowledge and wisdom. The South Bay Project
Paul is a great Guy , I’ve bought a bass and a guitar and assorted accessory’s from him . He’s also very knowledgeable about music gear. He will help you any way he can.
Paul is a real nice guy. Great store with good prices!
It is a good shop. Paul is a good guy. They’re are often hidden gems.
Worst place I’ve ever stopped up this place is super racist I don’t see myself coming back in to a clutter filled place with bad customer service
Prices to high for old equipment
I was treated very rudely by the “manager”. I refuse to ever give this establishment my business ever again. I buy used musical equipment, and a lot of it, and I’ll never spend my cash here again, no matter how desirable the inventory is.
