Let me tell you ! I go there frequently sometimes twice a day!!! Never had a bad experience!!!! The prices!!! You need to check!!! I have actually bought wood and stuff there cheaper than the big box stores!!! For those of you who want to use $10.00 of gas to save $2.00 well heres your sign!!! I will continue to go there till I die! Hats off to the great service there!!! Headed there this morning!!!

This is the only harware store for probably 15 miles, they went up a few pages in my book once they started carrying fishing gear, there are hunting items available as well, prices are a little steeper than you would usually pay, the staff is extremely helpful and always willing and eager to help you find anything you are looking for
A little pricey but good selection
When you return to establishment to return a lawn tractor battery for the third time you expect some kind of an apology for having to return three times for the same reason. You dont expect to have the owner of the store mr. Stokeley to come out from the back yelling at you and berating you for a manufacturers defect, which he will get his investment back from THE maker of diehard batteries for aaid defects. I am then told by the cashier that the business that fixed my lawn tractor didnt know what they were talking about regarding said battery. They’ve been in by business aince 1948, I’m sure they have aomw knowledge about lawn tractors and know how to tell if a battery is defective.
So im standing there now raising my voice as a reaction to the owners attitude trying to explain that the batteries are not holding charge and that im not trying to entertain myself by visiting Ace hardware to return batteries and that i just wanted to exchange. Again im yelled at and threatened physically by the owner and told that he wouldnt exchange the battery and to “buy one from the establishment i had my zero turn mower serviced because im sure they sell batteries too”. So before this escalates further i tell the cashier to give us our money back and take my frustrated self out of store and yes the establishment that serviced my mower does sell batteries and i havent had an issue since i inatalled one of their batteries in my mower. Needless to say Ace hardware in Pine Mountain will never earn any future business from me, but it would be a good idea for the owner and cashier to learn a little commin decency and customer skills.
I live half way between Columbus and Pine Mountain so have a choice. I chose yesterday to go to Pine Mountain even though I knew I would pay more. The young man that assisted me was friendly and knowledgeable. Then I went to the checkout. I realize this may sound petty but she made me feel like I was trying to steal a dime. Note: there was no one in line behind me. My total was $11.10. I gave her $11.00 and said something about the dime I knew I had. With a HUGE SIGH she said just give me another dollar. While getting another dollar, I found my dime. When I gave her my dime,, there was another HUGE SIGH. I believe she thought I was stealing or wasting her time. Jimmy Dent would NEVER permit this attitude, nor will I.

Waited a few minutes for the slowest cashier I’ve ever seen to mosey to the register. When she finally got there to ring up my purchase, there was no customer service at all. No smile, no thank you, no have a nice day.

The Emporium is by far the BEST antique store there is! They have such a vast selection of unique and well priced items that anyone will find something there that fits into their collection. To top it all off, the owners and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable! They make the experience as valuable as the items they sell.
Lots of goodies. Great prices.
Bought some vases there. Got home and did some research. Paid twice what they’re worth. Oh well. I love them. Won’t be back though!!

Never been talked to so rudely by a store owner in my life. For no reason at all. Will not spend my money here.
Rated poorly for customer service. My wife was looking at some books that were by a sign that said they were $2 each. A woman that worked there came up and took them out of her hand. My wife said that she would like to buy the books, but the woman said, “No, I can’t sell them for that price” and put them back on the shelf. She took the $2 sign down and refused to let my wife buy the books. It was bizarre and we felt very unwelcome.
Nice selection if they let you buy it.

This is one of my favorites in pine mountain. They’re the sweetest people and your heart just leaves a little lighter than you went in. Their prices are amazing too. You can tell that everyone that works there truly love their job.

Have been there several times each time there are things hanging or in the store that you would think would be for sale but it’s annoying that not everything in the store is for sale. Was there a year ago in the same pictures and a couple other things that I asked about we’re not for sale still.So they’re not making any profit by not selling merchandise that’s in their store I thought that all things in the store were there to make money for the animals I have spent over $100 in there at a time and I could have done that today but the same items that I was looking at we’re still not for sale it just might be me but I would think if the things are in there and they’ve been there for over a year that it would do well for them to sell them and make their money for the animals might just be me ??
This is a great place to find a bargain. Believe me there are some to be found ! Be early and be often ! It is also a great place to donate unwanted but usable items that should have a second chance or even a third ! So whether dropping off for a donation or picking up a bargain this little store is a welcome and valuable addition to our community. Proceeds go to the local Humane Society of Harris County Georgia. Remember all donations are tax deductible as per state and federal regulations. Items only, clothing donations should go to Focus in Hamilton Ga. Feel good about yourself donate don’t destroy.

I wanted to buy a piece of furniture there that was for sale, I went up front to buy it and the lady i had talked to was telling the girl behind the cash register angrily that “we don’t hold ANYTHING” so this girl calls up her friend, and says “some people are here and they want to buy that hutch you wanted… if you want it you’ve got to buy it right now. She sells it right in front of us over the phone.

Country store and restaurant with a view of the valley. A large selection on jams jellies and perserves.
It’s our go-to place to take guests for breakfast! Really good food & great views of the valley.
The prices were too high for the food that was just ok. Nothing to rave about. Tastes like cafeteria food. My 6 year old could have done a better presentation of the food. We could have eaten better at WAFFLE House for half the price. The store itself kinda reminds you of Cracker Barrel. Will not go here again, we spent $80 for 5 basic meals and water. No extras!!!!
The hours on the website are wrong. They turned 15+ people away at 3:00 pm which is their closing time.. on Saturday.
Most restaurants were closed for New Year’s Day so I decided to give this one a try.I ordered a country omelette and added a pancake.The omelette was pretty good.My hasbrowns could have been more crisp but mainly for personal preference.The pancake didn’t taste as homemade as I expected,including the biscuit. Coffee was fresh and hot.Orders seemed to be filled pretty quick considering the holiday crowd. I also had the pleasure of having Mrs.Bonnie as my waitress.She was very attentive to refills and questions about the menu;southern hospitality at its finest!

I came after a hiking trip with a group of ladies (15 of us) we had to get our own straws find pitchers of water to refill our own drinks even though we had asked for refills, just never got them
had attitude by the server when we ordered barely spoke to us and when we let her know that she forgot to bring part of our meal she literally rolled her eyes and let at a heavy huff
I tried to speak to the manager there one manager they couldn’t find and had to wait probably about 10 to 15 minutes to speak to another manager

My family traveled 2 hours to come to see the Fantasy in Lights. We drove up to the Country Store to enjoy an early dinner and some Christmas shopping before time for our lights. We got there a few minutes after 3 and they close at 4. First, it took a while for someone to come take our drink order and by the time someone came by, we went ahead to place our order for food as well. I went to browse the shop while waiting on food so I would have an idea about what I would like to get from the store, and went back to the table. Food was good, service was friendly, but when we finished eating and got to the front to grab a few gift items, they had the store area blocked off. I asked the lady by the door if the shop was closed already, and she said “We close at 4”. I look at my phone and it was 5 minutes til 4. I come from retail and closing at 4 means you take care of people until they leave (if already in the building) and lock doors at 4. They had already locked the doors and another man and his young daughter came up at that time (5 min til 4) to shop the store as well. I’m very disappointed that given the rainy weather, and Holiday season, that they were so quick to shut down the store, even for those of us who were already inside and spent money on dinner. This puts a very bad taste in my mouth for their customer service. It’s a shame that in this economy, they chose not to accept customer sales.
What the heck!!!! We have eaten there for years. Always looked forward to it. However this morning the hostess was quite snippy and informed me that they were not taking any more customers and that I could try again in an hour or so for lunch. There were available seats and no sign was indicating any interruption of service. Several families left without been by served I am assuming that they are under new management or something. The attitude and demeanor of the hostess and staff was unacceptable. We went to the Rose Cottage Inn in town and had a wonderful brunch

Lived in the area for a good long while and never knew this place was here. We were very excited to try a breakfast place nearby, so we wouldn’t have to drive into Columbus. We will not be back. Stood at the counter for a while before just sitting down. Had to go ask someone for drinks and silverware. Went to the buffett and we were very disappointed. Watery eggs and grits, cold tater tots and chewy sausage. Only thing decent was the biscuits. We decided to pack up and leave when a roach climbed down the wall onto my daughter. No one asked us how it was or why we picked at one plate and left 10 mins later. Definitely will be taking the drive into Columbus for family breakfast from now on.
This place made me sick. I threw up all night.

I’m almost sure their food is good, but after being seated for over 20 minutes without even a simple acknowledgement of our presence, and people coming after being seated and served, my family and I walked out. Before leaving, we let them know we were leaving and why.
Their response? “Ok”.

UPDATED: Saw the response from the owner. Would LOVE to know how my “ticket was up in the window”, or how it was “prepared”. We hadn’t even so much as seen a server at our table, let alone ordered anything, so not quite sure how that happened.
It was my first visit here. I’ve heard good things from friends and family, but I don’t see what the big deal is. The service was ATROCIOUS!!! We had three different people be very rude and indifferent to us. We had to move our tables together because the employees wouldn’t do it for us. Then we had to get our own menus. Our server was very slow. We didn’t get salads until halfway through our entrees. When I asked the same server for something for the SECOND time, she’s says, “yeah, I know” then walked out the door to the deck. I don’t know that I have ever experienced that before. We were stuck in the front corner, and no one ever bothered to check on us throughout our meal.
The food was ok but not worth driving from Phenix City. I won’t be back unless it’s a case of family wanting to go. I don’t see what the big deal is about this place.
Very disappointed.

Hole in the wall is an adequate description of the Oyster House. Don’t be fooled. The food is fantastic! As with most southern seafood places, the majority of the food here is fried. However, many of the dishes only have light breading. The portions are large, the service is good, and the food is excellent.
I wouldn’t try to eat here with a big party. They only seem to have two tables for groups larger than 4.

This place is a real hidden gem. All of the food was fresh and wonderful. Onion rings, hush puppies, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, salmon, fried grouper, rice, beans, grits, the deserts (all four of them we tried), and even the homemade sauces were all fantastic. Our waitress Jasmine was also exceptional. Can’t wait to return!

Prices were great for the amount of food that was served. The flavors on my big mouth burger was amazing. Would put this burger against any burger that I have had in the many restaurants back home in New Orleans.

Cajun shrimp salad was very fresh and delicious. You can get the curry shrimp spicy or not and make sure to get the fried plantains.
Service was so so, food was nasty, I mean nasty no seasoning like who doesn’t know how to season damn food it’s not rocket science, also sides is included in meal as the waitress stated but them charged for at the end, I would NOT recommended eating here
I give (2) stars, but that was for the strawberry cake only. I ordered a salmon sandwich and expected a delicious treat; however, after waiting 30 minutes, I recieved a thin cut of salmon that was stiff and burned to a crisp. I was outdone. My co-worker returned hers, but I went ahead and kept mine, since they did “try”. Once I left, I made certain to take a few photos of the meal before tossing it in the trash. I went back to my hotel at Calloway Gardens and ordered a salmon burger from the restaurant there. Although it was not a cut of salmon and costed $2 more. It was worth every penny. You can tell the difference between the two in the photos below.
Reservations a month in advance for 6 p.m. got there at 5:45. We had to wait on the sidewalk for about 20-30 minutes and then was seated out back on the patio took over an hour to get our food. Then it was so spicy we could not eat it
