I was driving a 33 foot RV towing my car. I pulled into lane to fuel but hose didn’t reach tank. Due to pickup truck fueling at the first pump I had to. Unfortunately I can’t back up with car in tow and there was not enough room to get around the truck. So I waited. After 10 minutes I notice the driver is nowhere to be found. I spoke to the cashier and she went looking for the driver, then she told her supervisor what was happening and her response was for me to go around the truck. Meanwhile my wife went next door to McDonald’s and found the driver sitting at a table eating, while his truck is still parked at the pump. No help from the supervisor, but the young man gathered his food and drove off. To say the least, the supervisor needs corrective action to understand the importance of customer service. She did not represent Pilot very well in occassion. I love Pilot and will continue to use them when available.

Update 10/24/19: my new banjo was finished a few weeks ago and I Have enjoyed it so much! It has the best sound of any banjo I’ve tried and you can’t beat the weight of the featherlight performance banjo which is the one I got. I highly recommend anybody looking into a banjo to definitely get one of these!!

Had a Gibson SG refinished here and it was terrible. Very patchy and uneven coverage. Worst of all was the headstock. I am a little perplexed though, they have many great reviews and other great pictures. The folks there were nice, decent selection of guitars for sale, no other complaints. I’m not sure why my guitar came out so bad.

My son enjoys taking his weekly guitar lessons at Island Guitars. Nova and Tyler are super friendly and make the music experience A+. If your looking for instructional music lessons (piano, drums, violin, voice) check out island Guitars in Rincon you won’t be disappointed.

Just went into nova music looking for a specific guitar and they didn’t have it. But they had the American model, and I wanted the Indonesian model very few differences sound quality and color are very similar. Since they do not have the Indonesian model, I asked if I could try the American model which is priced at $3000. The clerk then asked if I had the intention of purchasing the guitar. Told him that I really wanted to try the Indonesian model but they didn’t have it so I tried another prs instead. Definitely not going to give me an experience anywhere near either of the other 2 guitars I’m actually looking at. I dont give the appearence of a dasher but you never know. I could probably out run the 3 children(mine) i came in with and got away with it. I then showed the clerk iwas sitting on nearly 10k in my account and walked out. Never know what kind of a sale you’re gonna miss.
No real incentive to shop here. Prices are high. They will match online prices at best. Staff has zero knowledge of inventory specs. “I don’t know you will have to ask Nova when she is working” is the only answer you will get if you ask them anything other than do you have a layaway plan. Save your time and spend your money at a knowledgeable place such as Portman’s, Deloach’s, or Idlewild guitars!

I was able to get some beverages and get quarters to use the laundry facilities at my hotel. I’ve stopped back a number of times for the same things. Each time, the ladies that rung me out were kind, understanding, and SUPER helpful.

I visited the store today and received help from Natasha. I told her how clean the store was, but the prices in here are extremely high compared to other gas stations far as the drinks and food. She was very friendly with me even though I was complaining about the prices. The only reason this store gets 3 stars from me is because of the prices.

I highly recommend this musical establishment. Expert sales and staff. Wonderful selection of gear, competitive prices, and best of all… they carry Jacksons!! My absolute favorite!! I popped my head in, even though I’m not local, thinking that maybe I’ll find an original Marshall Silver Jubilee (I’ve been looking for a half stack for years now) just out of sheer luck. Needless to say, they didn’t have the amp of my dreams… BUT! I got to talk to some of the staff about their gear and let me tell you, THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF. One of the guitar instructors even finished MI in Los Angeles. That’s a pretty prestigious school, hailing some of the most successful alumni as far as guitar is concerned. It’s a clean store. Well stocked. Contrary to the aforementioned reviews, I found the staff to be very polite and friendly. I bought a black volume knob and left. If I ever make it out here again, I’ll definitely stop by again and keep my fingers crossed for that Jubee. 5 stars.
I love be greeted by the wonderful cashier every time I’ve shopped at Portman’s Music Superstore. On my last visit I was directed to the band department by one of the cashier to make and inquiry about getting my Viola fixed. I didn’t have it with me at the time but explained what all needs to be done with it to the salesmen in the band department. I will definitely be back to have it actually looked at. I love supporting local businesses and have always found the staff at portmans not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable.
I have shopped here for years. Prices are competitive with online shops. Jeff and the rest of the gang always bend over backwards with the best customer service in the business. I always love stopping by.
It’s the vibe of any typical music store, however they were very well-stocked very helpful to my needs – if not overbearing at some times. They had a wide range of products (but not really). If you like music, this is a store.
(Savannah Portmens is trash) Me and my sister went up there to string my electric guitar. The people literally told us it would be 3-4 days max. A week pass no call two weeks then passed, so we call up there and the people are like it’s not under no ones name but we literally put it under my name and my sisters name as a backup. So then they literally tried to keep my guitar. And previous to all that we first asked how much everything would cost and the man checking us out said “it’s a bit expensive can u afford it’s”? It’s cost like 56$ I don’t know if it was cause a race thing cause we was black but it was kinda offensive.
Ok so Ik at first I put two stars. Well I went back recently and it’s all new people there. The person that changed my guitar strings not only put new strings on it. But he also replaced the dial nobs with premium ones. And also polished it. I guess they seen my previous review and decided to better there business with better employees. They earned there third star from me.
Staff is very helpful and have knowledge of what they do.
I expected a friendly musical enviroment. Period. It was not there at all. Pushy salespeople acted like they were doing me a favor. They were rude and inconsiderate and just wanted to sell their products. I will not be coming back. Enter at your own risk.

I usually don’t write reviews as they are subjective and like to judge for myself but this had to be written. As I crossed the line from sc into ga my family was dead tired from driving all day into the wee hours of the morning. We were coming from New Jersey on the way to Florida before the kids had to go back to school. As my husband pumped the gas myself and the kids went to restroom and get a few things. I don’t know what I expected but was really surprised at how friendly the two people working were. The young lady, Seana I think is how she spells her name , was as nice as could be and was extremely awesome with my grumpy children. The gentleman there , Ben easy to spell, was just as friendly and had just made some fresh hot breakfast sandwiches. He was extremely nice to my kids also and even made my daughter a special sandwich as she is allergic to pork. He also helped my husband find a tasty gluten free breakfast to get him by. We couldn’t ask for better service from them.
Truck stop
The best early morning staff ever. I get there about 4 am and was surprised how friendly all three of the staff were. It was warm and inviting. The two ladies behind the counter I believe their names were Nessa and Elaina were super excited and friendly. Then as I was getting ready to check out Ben came out with fresh hot breakfast and a bubbly personality. You could tell the three had a great time at work and love their jobs. They were busy working but did not stop the jokes laughter and good time. Thanks for making early mornings fun and not dragging
New and very clean, but doesn’t have a lot of product, unless you want beer, soda, candy or potato chips. They basically force you to use the self checkout as no employee is at the cash register. I could not get a bag for the items I purchased at the self checkout, I looked at the employee and said “I guess you can’t get a bag here”, the employee sat there behind the plexiglass at the self checkout and gave me a blank stare. Left the store and went to the gas pump, there was some kind of hip hop music blaring out of the pump area, so I just left and went across the street for fuel. It’s a shame, because it is really a beautiful store.
I was one of the last customers before tearing down the old store and building the new one. Haven’t been out there since- need to go by. for old times sake- as I do business with the ones in Springfield and, on occasion Rincon.
This is a pretty big EnMarket store, they offer a lot, even frozen yogurt. But they don’t keep much things up to stock. The slushy machine only had big cups, none of the mega or small cups, yet had the mega lids and barely any big lids. Overall, it’s an alright store.
Do not enter the gas station unless you want to pay a ticket. Thought I was saving some money on diesel instead got a ticket because of the traffic on the street. All the truckers just park and block the entire street. Never again Enmarket, go across the street to Pilot. They have plenty of parking.
Gas is really 10 cents more if you don’t have their card.. be aware!!! Go to Pilot across the street
Stopped by on my way through to Florida on 5/29/21. Store was clean and organized. Employee was very rude and unprofessional. As a previous store manager I would have expected more from an employee than someone sitting behind a register. On a good note the store was very bright and the bathrooms were great. Will definitely stop back in on my way back through.

Being a newcomer to vinyl records myself, I can recommend Rody’s Records to newcomers. Friendly staff and got some helpful tips. Broad and amazing selection of rock, other genres are represented too.
Good selection but pricier than some places I have been to when looking for vinyl and cds.
Decent record shop…
Way overpriced for the condition these records are in. Or for any condition. Elvis Costello in garage sale condition for $25? B-52s Wild Planet for $40? People around here must think this is the only place in the world that sells records.
record store is cool but i went in their for vape juice, the vape juice is extremely expensive. $25 before taxes for a 60ml bottle. I understand they got rent to pay but good God lol
Went on record store day. One of the workers brought his dog into the store unleashed and let it roam around. This is unsafe and unacceptable.
A customer asked about the Taylor Swift single that was a record day exclusive. One of the workers said it was in a back room when it was at the front counter.
The owner is untrustworthy, makes false promises and does not follow through on things. I suggest taking your business elsewhere instead of terrible run, shady business.
Edit: the comment made by The staff member is straight up lies. The person who brought the dog in was not a customer as they went into a he back and then came back and went behind the counter. The dog was NOT on a leash.
Further more to elaborate on the shadiness, the store claimed to be giving a copy of a limited edition single to the highest bidder who commented. My partner was the highest bidder and was never contacted. What a scam.
If my vinyl collection is worth what these guys think their vinyl is worth…then I am sitting on a $150k worth of records. Gi e me a break.

Adina was so amazing. This was my first time ever shopping at this store. I found them through google because the store that I usually go to were out of what I was looking for. Customer Service was outstanding and I love the personable feel of the environment. They were extremely attentive from the time that I stepped through the door. They are definitely a hidden gem. I would recommend them to anyone looking to service any of the instruments needs. This will now be my new go to music store In Savannah.

Very kind staff and plenty of items for sale
I’m truly upset with this store. I received 2 notices in the mail due to my credit card being declined. The reason why my card was declined was because of frauds activities. I went to pay on my daughter’s instrument and they told me that they do not accept payments in the store nor updated the information in their records. This is ludicrous. They need to change their policy. I called twice this week to reach customer service and they has me on hold for a whole hour. Something has to give.
The teen girl working was poorly dressed and rude. Having shopped at other locations before, I expected kind, well dressed employees with expert knowledge. That is not that case at this store– at least not with that employee!! This location lost the only good employee they had (the manager Brandon).
