Clean store and clean restroom. Easy access to pumps.
I enjoy stopping at Love’s
Keep it clean
Decent restrooms
Clean and well stocked with efficient staff who get people taken care of quickly.
Clean loves store – with truck stop and plenty of parking. Clean restroom and separate shower station. They have Hardee’s associated. Fuel price is little high.
Bojangles isn’t open yet
Worst pilot ever! Restrooms are disgusting … just witness a girl lie about cleaning them #womens 8:40am
Bathroom has a piss smell very small hardly no parking I know not to stop here next time it’s just disgusting /really no parking
4. TA Travel Center
Address: 1806 US-371, Prescott, AR 71857 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Massive parking lot. Trucker path says 292 spots but there seems way more than that. Still like 50 spots empty in the back at 2200 on a Wed night. 4 stars for the parking. Taco bell took 20 min in line to order and to recieve food, by then all the showers were full and had to wait 20 min for shower too. That parking tho ❤
This TA is a joke. Bad parking lot but plenty of parking. None of the staff were polite and had absolutely no idea what was going on. Showers are never cleaned. Tried to pay for internet but she straight up looked at me and said we don’t do that here and went back to playing on her phone.
Nothing like having a social gathering aka meeting while trucks are in the shop. Talk about theft by deception… Racking up hourly rate while they stand around and BS.
Went in the Fuel Center. Everybody was on there Cellphones Nobody Greeted Me To make Me feel welcome. The White Guy at the Counter wasn’t paying attention to busy in his phone to realize I was ready to checkout. He Had A nasty Attitude. The Food In the Deli Looked Old & Cold. Music Was Being Playing Loud. They All seem Like they’re on Drugs. POOR CUSTOMER Service. Wasn’t Any Water in the Buckets To Wipe My Windows . Just shut this Place Down. DON’T STOP HERE!!
5. Hwy 67 Flea Market
Address: 209 W 1st St N, Prescott, AR 71857 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Bought a strap , two recliners, and two bedside tables. Jimmy is a nice guy
Love shopping here when we pass through town
Nice place to shop. The variety isn’t what it used to be though …
Lots of nice stuff in there. Not very busy right now. Because the cold rain that is falling outside. Good people running it. Lots of good antiques and old furniture.
Always fun to poke around. On my last visit, I went home with a glass-smooth Wagoner iron chicken fryer!
6. Shuffield Music Company
Address: 610 Main St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Nice little music store. Wish they carried more drum stuff, but had a good selection of guitar equipment and supplies.
Gotta enjoy this place. I mostly go for strings for my guitars, primarily D’addario, Dunlop, and Exlir, which they carry here. I’ve bought the handful of others, though: straps, picks, cables (Stagg, to be exact). All solid and worth it. Quality stuff here.
My “go to” place for any band gear, lights and sound. Paul knows his stuff and is always ready to help. I love dealing with an Owner Operated family business.
Not to bad
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Rude
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.
7. Billy’s House of Guitars
Address: 201 E Broadway, Glenwood, AR 71943 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
This place is stacked up every which way with awesome!
There is no other place quite like this one. Antiques and music memorabilia they would normally expect to find in a museum can be found right here in Glenwood. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner a few years ago but but even today the story is still amazing
A showplace from a different place in time!!
Interesting place not a store as much as a museum
8. Prescott
Address: Arkansas 71857 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
An intimate one stop shop that any guitarist would love to hangout in
My son has been taking electric guitar lessons for about 2 months or so now. They have done a fantastic job with teaching him. Very nice and great to work with! Highly recommended!!
Just wanna say thanks for everything!
Will definitely be back
Great service and reasonable prices.
I drove from Benton to look at a guitar I called about for my son. This has been several months ago but it left such a bad taste in my mouth I found myself thinking about how bad it was and decided I should warn others so they won’t be disappointed by a similar experience.
The guitar was beat up pretty bad but straight otherwise. The owner (the tall heavy set gentlemanwith longish gray hair) was asking $125 for the guitar and was the only person working. The guitar is $145 new (Ibanez Mikro) and was on sale new for $125 @ guitar center. I offered him $100 (way more than I should have). He didn’t bother to look up and said no. I asked would he budge. Again he answered no while hardly acknowledging me. I showed him that it was in sale for the same price new. He told me I should by the new one because he wasn’t budging on his price. I took his advice and that’s what I did. It seemed as if he didn’t care if he sold anything or not. I’ll never shop there again. I previously bought a MIM strat and nice amp from one of the other sales men. I mentioned to him that I was a repeat customer, he just didn’t care. Very disappointed. I wish I were writing g a glowing review about the great deal and excellent service I received. Unfortunately it was a bad experience from the time I stepped in and hardly acknowledged to the time I left. I notice that someone has an excuse for every negative review. I’m anxious to see what the excuse is for my experience considering I was hardly spoken to. I think you have to be friends with the owner for him to care you are even there.
– The person who replied to this made my pint for me. If the guitar came with a case why wasn’t that mentioned to my wife and I. We questioned why a guitar with dings and scratches was priced the same as new one. Wouldn’t that have been a great time to explain that it came with a $75 hard case. It should be no mystery why you can’t make a deal with everyone with these sales tactics. Take some responsibility for you actions and stop blaming your customers. You have accused them of stealing, damaging your equipment confusing you with a pawn shop. Lol!! I would bet every excuse you’ve replied with is a lie to excuse your actions and blame your customer. There are tons of guitars for sale on craigslist, in pawnshops, online I suggest anyone thinking of shopping with you use one of these other options. Have a nice day.
I have lived in Hot Springs for a year and a half now and I pass this this guitar shop almost every day on my way home. As a guitar player and music enthusiast I have been interested in visiting this store but never found time to do so. I finally was able to go inside the music store recently and I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly. I went with a friend of mine in early January. I was browsing the guitars, and even picked one up and stood at the register waiting to ask about a price on the guitar, since there was no price tag. The clerk was too busy talking to his buddy to even acknowledge my presence. After several minutes I returned the guitar to the shelf. Finally the clerk was done talking and I inquired about two guitars. I received very short answers that seemed ridiculous amount-wise. I honestly believe the prices I was quoted were made up on the spot. My friend had found a guitar strap that he thought I would like and brought it over to show me, then he returned it to the shelf after I told him that I rarely use a guitar strap. I continued browsing, and when I rounded the corner and came close to the register, the clerk said to me “what did you do with that guitar strap?” I replied that I had never touched a guitar strap. It doesn’t take a genius to realize this man was accusing me of shoplifting. A few minutes later the same clerk approached my friend and me and very rudely told us to leave the %&#@ing store and not to ever come back. He said we were suspicious because we hadn’t been to the store before and that we were wearing coats! May I remind you, it was JANUARY! Yes, we had never been to the store because my friend was from out of town and this was my first time to visit the store. I’m not going to lie and claim to be rich, but I enjoy buying new guitars and other instruments. I tried to talk to the clerk as an adult, even though his demeanor was that of someone on steroids trying to pick a fight. I guess this store doesn’t want new customers, and heaven help us if its cold outside and you’re wearing a jacket. I feel very disappointed at the customer relations of this store. My friend and I were potential customers and were treated as shoplifters simply because we were new and had jackets on. This is absolutely absurd and I can’t for the life of me understand why this guy attacked us. I have never had an experience this insane at a music store, and I’ve been to many guitar shops all over the country. If this clerk was not the owner of the store, then the actual owner should relieve him of his job because he is hurting the stores income by bullying customers for wearing a jacket in January. I can’t believe I was treated this way. There aren’t words to express how badly we were treated and how upset I am about this experience. I will make it a point to tell everyone I know and meet about the way they run their business there and recommend that they find a different store, one that treats its customers with dignity and respect. By the way, this store didn’t have a very good selection of anything and ridiculous prices, I have no idea how they are still in business. If they treat all new customers this way their future is bleak. Thanks, Hot Springs music–Guido especially, for being the rudest, most disrespectful, and worst customer service store ever! You’d get 1/4 of a star if I could mark it that way. You should be ashamed of yourself for acting like a child. Disgusting.
Does anyone know if $5 is a fair price for two plastic bridge pins we bought here? We also bought a string which was extra, so the total was well over $5 according to the receipt, which I kept. Seems like you can find six bridge pins for $5.99 online with free shipping. Wondering what the price for a full set of six bridge pins is at this store? I’m guessing $15? Just asking… (update Jan 10, 2019: Big Event on Grand sells bridge pins for 75 cents each, as opposed to $2.50 each at Guido’s.)
10. Big Event Music
Address: 149 E Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
When and to check this place out and I received excellent service. The worker was very knowledgeable about things.
Thank you, thank you Mike and Big Event Music. On a Saturday on a holiday weekend with the blues festival onging, MIke repaired a shot jack on my Telecaster that I was set on gifting to my daughter as a surprise. Big Event is my go to place now in Hot Springs.
They did an incredible job with my dad’s 60 year old acoustic guitar.
Excellent service
My one stop shop for all my musical needs. You can also record tracks. Awesome place.
Nice music shop.
I bought a lot of things from Brent when the store sold instruments and amps and was always happy with them. Unfortunately, things have changed. I brought a guitar in that needed a rewire job. I was aware they were busy with festivals but they kept my guitar for 2 months and finally called and told me they didn’t have time to fix it. Needless to say, I wont be back.
Holy cow. I didn’t even know this place was open until I went inside. Not very inviting and the whole building needs renovations. Seemed very trashy. Almost made me feel like the items there have less value just because of how badly ran the building is.
I bought everything from guitar cases to a JBL top of line PA from them before I found out they are totally BOGUS! Sold me used merchandise as new, then got an attitude when I called them on it! Cuss me out when you’re a thiefing liar? I don’t think so! I wouldn’t buy a guitar pick from these people!!!
11. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Best music store in Arkansas!
Bill and his crew are friendly and honest.
They can fix anything, correctly. At a fair price. It’s mostly a guitar store but they have a little bit of everything.
They have very helpful and friendly personnel working there. If they don’t have exact what you are looking for, they don’t try to pressure you into buying anything but help keep an eye out for what you want. They have a lot to choose from and are always getting new items in. Any musician should check them out for upgrades to existing equipment; or, just to see what they have in stock.
One of the best places I have been, they have lots of equipment and great prices will definitely shop here again
Had a hard time trying any of the basses or bass amps….nothing was even plugged in…..had to run extension cords all over the place . Then the basses and amps were so crowded could not move to even try the gear out. Didn’t feel like rerunning power to the whole department to try any other amps out. Shame would have tried more gear out….but just wasn’t expecting to hook it all up myself. Sorry guys you lost a sale….take ten minutes plug In couple bass amps everyday instead of sitting out smoking…..dude you know who you are….you shut the door on my wife as you went back in after your cig break….seriously….Shame store has potential
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
Friendly people but kinda pricey
Unfriendly staff
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
12. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Brandon recently repaired the bridge pickup on my dad’s 70ish Gibson 345 Stereo. He also downsized the large 70ish head stock on my HSS Select Strat. I had contacted Fender to see if they could do the downsizing. They said l could send the guitar and they could put a new neck on, which l didnt want to do. I couldn’t have been been more satisfied with the work Brandon did. Thanks again
Best music store in Little Rock!
I brought my Fender CD60 in to repair the finish. Brandon did EXCELLENT work on my guitar…it looks like new!
13. Prescott High School
Address: 736 Martin St, Prescott, AR 71857 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
I have been doing business with Preston for a long time. I’ve even taken guitar lessons from the man in charge, LOL. I’ve bought new equipment. Sold them used guitars for a fair price. Just yesterday the service dept helped me with some wiring issues on a fiddle pickup( thanks Bear). ALL of the staff makes every effort to make sure that you are satisfied! You will be much happier trading here than you would be if you went to the big box store. The company gives back to the local community through numerous promotions/collaborations and by supporting local artists and the community orchestra! Definitely 5 stars!
Awesome, helpful and very friendly staff. They are not happy til you are. They are for sure the best in town.
Great Service!
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
16. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Good service and great selection. Fair prices as well. Will be returning multiple times
Chris treated me n Gracie like kings!
I really like to shop here. Professionals who know the difference in audio and production equipment know where to go to get this stuff. Recording engineers all over the USA depend on Guitar Center and THIS location is location #100 (i believe) and really been an asset to Little Rock and music production professionals. They really know their stuff here and have a music lessons and practice facility in house. Top of the line!
Great and knowledgeable staff. Great selection. Great products. My only complaint is the prices are a little high (it’s the reason for -⭐) but we all know this about Guitar Center at this point, right? Nothing’s perfect.
Nice place but a little bit too expensive compared to other places
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable
Very disrespectful peaple
Employees are very rude!
Rude staff. I walked out without buying a thing
18. Guitar Center
Address: 160 E Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72703 , Prescott , Arkansas , United States
Great customer service! I am a Veteran and they restrung my guitar for free on Veterans Day even when they were short-handed. My hat is off to them!
Love it!
Guitar Center, Fayetteville AR On Black Friday, 2021 I walked into the store around noon the store is very busy I am carring a guitar box Erin Detherage, spoke to me and said , I will be with you in one minute. I counted no less then 8 people walking Into the store by this time the front of the store is filling up quickly as Erin Detherage returned she look at me in the crowd of people and ask how may I help I won’t get into all that however there is something that I can say Erin Kept her WORD and for that speaks volumes to me in the customer service industry
Erin thank you for making my day to make my son’s day as well five stars just isn’t enough for Erin. Thank you .
EXCELLENT customer service experience.
Knowledgeable and good selection but only one guy helping customers and checking people out. Had to wait to buy the stuff we got and didn’t get to look at the guitar my husband wanted to look at. Guy was very friendly and apologetic, but he needed help.
A little disorganized and hap-hazard arrangement. Staff are generally excited to help though.
Rather small location with a small selection. Unless you specifically need an in person visit, on line is a better option.
Young inexperienced workers was rude and waited to be helped but they were just visiting with each other will not go back
Showed curbside pickup and in stock for an item, drove 30 min to store and they apparently don’t have any in stock. Waste of time.
Terrible service. I ordered a peavey 6505 mh stack from there website that said it was available and ready to ship. Paid $115 for 2 day shipping and when it arrived today I find that they had only sent the cabinet with no head which is pretty much usless. When we called they told us that the head was on back order and wouldn’t be available for another two weeks and that they just hadn’t listed that on there website. If I had known that I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money on shipping.
