this place is very reliable and trustworthy, the equipment is very professional and high quality.
I stopped in a few months back hoping to try the new Jackson American SL3 Soloist that just came out last year. Jon had 3 (!!!) in stock as well as plenty of similarly priced models to compare to. I tried a Japan-made Ibanez RG and a few others. I’m very particular about setup and action and every guitar I played was dialed in. Prices were commensurate with the big corporate chains. Jon answered my many questions about features, construction and potential future upgrades and a week or so later I was back to purchase a Soloist. If you are into superstrats this store is heaven. The number of one-off custom shop spec builds in stock is legitimately insane.
Exceptional customer service!!!!! the owner of the store is very kind and helpful he even stopped in his car after he closed got back out reopened the store to help me with my purchases today it was incredible I would totally recommend them 10 out of 10 to anybody!!
Good I guess

Address: 14 Union City Rd, Prospect, CT 06712 , Prospect , Connecticut , United States
My 10 year old daughter has been taking piano here for over a year and she loves it. The lessons are affordable and her instructor is well qualified and pleasant.
The owner is very friendly, very knowledgeable, and repaired my delay pedal quickly. It works better now than when I got it. Great store.
Real nice place to learn music
It’s a cool place to buy accessories for your musical instruments but when I wanted to fix an instrument it took me a while to get it back.
Drop off kids guitar for new string and the service was fast and cheap
7. Vision Associates of Prospect
Address: 60 Waterbury Rd, Prospect, CT 06712 , Prospect , Connecticut , United States
Dr. Gelinas has a wonderfully professional demeanor that inspires confidence in her ability to properly assess my eye care needs. I look forward to a long association with her as my optometrist.
This is the very best optometric practice I have ever been to. The doctors are very knowledge, thorough and kind. The staff is competent and caring. I received beautiful glasses and sunglasses from this office and there was a great selection. The costs were very fair and I trust my eyes to these doctors.
The doctors and staff at Vision Associates of Prospect are very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Most of the staff was good but one girl at the front was awful! Rude, came across with an attitude and scheduled me for the wrong doctor which I didn’t know until the other doctor came in. I probably would have done more research on a different place before choosing this one. Quality of care from the doctor was good just the girl in front wasn’t a highlight.
Was asked repeatedly if I was sure I had been to the practice before, confused for another patient by the technician and received incorrect coating on lenses. In the past my experiences were wonderful with all staff but my last visit was horrible. I wish I could return my glasses and be refunded for all money spent. Waste of time, money and energy.
Gave my daughter the wrong prescription for her glasses. Been going there 2yrs. And they have gone down hill. They were great at first not sure what happened here. Had to switch doctors.
I was at this practice for 4 years. Initially they were great, until I needed important documentation. I was treated terribly multiple times. The office manager is rude and unprofessional. She was more concerned with 90’s day at the office than anything I needed.the doctor was no better. I was unable to get my correct
medical information and had to leave the practice so
I went to New Insight and they helped me.they are excellent!!I intend on reporting Vision Associates . I will never go there and neither should you. Grossly Unprofessional and obnoxious. No stars. Patient’s are not valued.

John is very knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable. I knew nothing about what I needed, other than the instruments I rented, and John took care of everything. Great local shop!
We’ve used Acme a few times. The owner is very friendly and went above and beyond every time. Rental prices are very reasonable. Turn around on repairs was pretty quick. If you have a child in a music program or marching band I highly recommend going here!
Great place to rent to own your kids school music program! Very knowledable and friendly. They will deliver to all Cheshire schools.
Very nice place
It’s little bit wrong. It was hard to find.
Nice people!
John is a total scam artist! I highly recommend everyone stay away!

Brian’s Guitar is a hidden gem. Their inventory, service and knowledge is second to none. I highly recommend getting your bass/guitar needs from here
So Happy Brian is back! This is a classy guitar shop for the serious player.
Excellent selection of instruments and sincere help. A pleasure to spend some time there! Very reasonable prices on some beautiful guitars.
I’m very happy with my latest purchase!

Brian’s Guitars…is the best place to go…for a great experience…for all your guitar needs.
BUYER BEWARE: If you’re shopping used online, call ahead and ask them to send you updated pictures of the instrument before you buy.
I just purchased a used guitar online, from Brian’s Guitars. It sounds and looks great.
HOWEVER: the pictures and listing posted online were not accurate. The listing said “near mint” condition. The pictures showed all the tags and plastic seals on the components still intact. When I received the guitar, all the seals were gone. There were scuffs on the pickguard, and there was a screw completely missing near the volume/tone knobs. After an email exchange, I learned that the pictures were posted from when the guitar was new. Still, why was a screw missing?
I may have scored a guitar at a sweet deal, but now my confidence is shook. Even though everything sounds fine, I’m left wondering if a screw was removed to mess around with the internal components. I’ll get that checked out, but given the inaccurate listing, I’m not sure if I would buy from Brian’s Guitars again.
I recently had a vintage bass repaired and appraised here. I left it with them to have the electronics fixed and a general setup done. I got a call that the guitar was ready to be picked up a few weeks later, but had to remind them to also do the appraisal.
I get the bass home and the jack is incredibly noisy. I called and was told that they would make it right at no cost. I take the bass back and the tech puts a new jack in. They still charged me $10 for the jack, the making it right part only included the labor (about ten minutes). I couldn’t care less about $10, but making an extra trip out (about half hour from my home) to have something fixed that should have been done in the first place, guarantees I will never go back here or recommend it to anyone.
Love the layout and they have beautiful guitars. However, customer service is lacking. I advice those that are interested in buying a high-end guitar and enjoy collecting these musical art pieces to look elsewhere as I was told so rudely. Especially if you are a minority. The stereo typing is real!. If you think this is a rant of someone that is not able to afford this level of guitars, well, think again. I have a small collection that keeps growing of high-end to medium range guitars, bass guitars , and amps. I Hope this helps someone that does not want to be profiled while shopping for their next piece of happiness.
13. Xscape Global Music
Address: 551 Wolcott St, Waterbury, CT 06705 , Prospect , Connecticut , United States
I take harmonica lessons at At Things Musical. George and Paula are great. The shop is really cute and they have lots of interesting things for sale in addition to instruments. It’s a friendly, family run place.
Went to sign my son up for lessons they are very friendly, helpful and took time to help us understand how they operate.
Cute little place. The people there are very nice.
Never been here i wanted to write a review for no reason
19. JC Music
Address: 529 W Main St, Meriden, CT 06451 , Prospect , Connecticut , United States
Very pleased with my experience at JC Music. I thought they were very knowledgeable, able to assess the instruments I brought in, make repairs and sold 2 items for me. I got a fair price, sold sooner than I expected and I received a check promptly. I have dealt with another music consignment shop and was not satisfied with them .This store was very efficient. I would recommend them for buying or selling any musical equipment.
JC Music have sold my amplifier, clarinets, trumpet. They are very fair and courteous and works with you on getting the best price. I highly recommend using JC Music for you consignment items. Joe D., Cheshire, CT.
Overall, excellent service and very friendly people. I have had positive experiences every time I needed something or had to sell something with their consignment program. Very simple and easy. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Would like to obtain some nice brushes and some type of top hat set used and very sturdy since I break percussion instruments all the time when I perform?
My son, Roberto Luis and Rosa live in Meriden. Are you far from the mall? I have spent a lot of time jamming in Puerto Rico to salsa, merengue, etc but my favorite is funk like Buddy Miles.
My grandson really enjoyed the music lessons and they are very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them.
Never have any of the literature or instrument parts I’m looking for. Took 3 months to repair a trombone. I tried to return an item and they wouldn’t give me back the cash to go to another place. The owner has blatantly disrespected my mother on several occasions and doesn’t have much knowledge of much of anything outside of rock music. As far as i’m concerned, this is the worst music store i’ve ever set foot in and would not recommend to anybody.
Completely disappointed. I placed an order in store on a instrument that was never placed with JC music. The customer service was poorly displayed and the options they gave us was not acceptable. I asked to speak to the owner several times and would not get on the phone and made his new employee talk to me. I ended up going somewhere else that was amazing
This was a horrible expierence. They need to get their stuff together, they had already-sold instruments on shelf. They had an amazing guitar sale and when I went to buy, it was already sold! They got my hopes high and let it down and I will not give them my money any longer.
20. Music Center of North Haven Llc
Address: 473 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473 , Prospect , Connecticut , United States
The staff is helpful and friendly. So different to the place near by.
Our five grandchildren have been part of the wonderful musical experience at The Music Center of North Haven. It is a life changing program for us and a chance for them to grow individually and as a group as they play together. Their teachers are incredible, very talented, patient and professional. It is an investment in our youth which is very much needed. They can learn responsibility, a sense of accomplishment in achieving goals, positivity, accountability, confidence, commitment, work ethic, creativity, morale, overall uplifting and safe experience. They perform in concerts and in front of other audiences, which enhances self esteem. They also perform for friends and family and enjoy doing it. Everyone should check out the variety of musical programs offered at the center. Owners Mark and Mary are great, as is the entire staff. Just a little note from the Miller Family.
A refreshing ,fun atmosphere.
Mary and Mark are professional caring proprietors.
You won’t be disappointed.
Great place to get music!!
First experience here, but guy greeted me immediately and helped me pick out a capo. Nice feature to have a cafe inside.
Great instructors. Great atmosphere.
This is a review for the musical forest cafe. I wish I could have enjoyed the food at this place, but this business is a mess. I came here a month ago on a Tuesday and they were closed out of the blue, so they granted me a 10% discount coupon for my trouble. I decided to give this place a try once again today so I called in advanced, but no one picked up the phone. I then googled their hours and noticed it said they opened at noon (I tried calling at 11:00 a.m.) but that they were opened today. To be completely sure about that, I checked their facebook page that stated, in fact, that they were open. When I arrived to the restaurant the owner greated me and stated that they have been closing on Fridays for the past 9 months and that I should have checked their facebook page prior to coming in here (REALLY?!). After explaining to him that I DID checked facebook he apologized and said he will change the facebook hours for his restaurant and offered to give me another discount coupon. I didn’t even bothered to take the coupon and left very disappointed by the lack of reliability and professionalism of this place and won’t ever be coming back. Places like this just reinforced my belief that going out of business is a conscious effort and wouldn’t be surprised if this happened to this cafe in the near future.
I came in for my introductory ukulele lesson. The place was a mess. The chair I was told to sit on had metal pieces sticking out the side. The AC was not on. The instructor informed me he had been playing uke for about 3 years. I was charged $50 and it was the biggest waste of money. I was highly disappointed.
Guitar tech could not look at my guitar because he busy making egg sandwiches.
