My 6 year old son has been coming here for about a year. Mrs Butler is extremely patient and works so well with him. I would recommend Monarch Music Academy for anyone interested in learning how to read music and play piano.
An excellent teacher in incredible subjects, if your trying to learn piano in this area she is truly your best option.
Best teacher I have ever had. Very good at motivating students. Teaches to the student. Studied for 4 years and plan to continue indefinitely.

Food was amazing!!! Always have a good time! Best Wine Bar in town! Love Lori and Tim!
The minute you walk into this classy establishment you realize a lot of care went into it all. The wine bar is fabulous and there is always a great selection of wines to taste. You can even join the Wine Club. There is also a number of beers to choose from if wine’s not your thing. As you look around you will discover some very inviting seating areas to occupy and enjoy your libation of choice. But it doesn’t stop there, lots of unique art and coastal themed objects for sale as well. So the next time you’re in the Bal Harbor Plaza pop in and enjoy, you’ll be glad you did.
The best part about CE&W is the staff. The service was quick and as friendly as I’ve ever seen. They seem to have a large wine selection but I am by no means a wine expert. They also have several social nights (bingo, trivia, ect.) which makes for an enjoyable experience.
Great wine. Little expensive
We really enjoyed the wino bingo. The food was very tasty but a bit pricy. Our waitress was exceptional.
Visited whilst on vacation. Greeted on arrival warm welcome. I was uncertain about the wine choices but Jim was so helpful with advice and allowing me to try a couple before ordering. The food is really good. I had the flatbread which was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Thought it would be fun to attend their Friday night Wine Bingo. It is very fun BUT bring your credit card. Wine is very expensive & the food tab all adds up. Yikes! Our bill was over $100 for 2.

He’s a great friend and personal to accommodate to the greatest of guarantee that everyone is welcome and make sure that satisfaction is a must before you leave. I’ll always have a friend at AceDrums
Al cien
Very crowded and cramped. Lots of stuff for musical instruments..
Need to hire me, for part time need some energy and a new face. For business.
Its a drum store. I wouldn’t call it guitar center… definitely not a guitar shop, prices on lower end guitars are cringeworthy in most cases on brands im used to seeing in pawn shops in the midwest. Some gems however rare. Limited hand made drums. Its at least a good if not phenomenal drum shop.
Steer clear from this place. All sales are final and no refunds or returns accepted. I was kicked out for requesting my money back on being sold a used broken guitar priced, and sold, as a new item. All instruments look dusty and used with prices that reflect new items. STAY AWAY
Take this experience for whatever it is worth. Needed some work done to my acoustic. Came in one day, the luthier was gone. No biggie, life happens. Was told the he will be back tomorrow. ‘Came in the next day, he is not there. Finally another day, called in to make sure the luthier is there, which he was. I told them I will be stopping by shortly. Came in within 20min, luthier is gone for the day. I am not sure what is up with with this shop. Good luck catching the guy at work.
Went in to buy a few small percussion instruments. 5 or 6 people chatting in the back. Waited 10 minutes at the register for someone to take my money. Got sick of being ignored and ordered twice as many instruments of similar type on Amazon for about the same price.
Hint, it’s not Amazon killing mom & pop shops.
8. Downtown Bait & Tackle Shop
Address: 120 Laishley Ct, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
Wow what a dope spot!! I love the venue it’s an old train station outfitted now as a bar lounge where you can get work done, enjoy kava drinks and some pastries as well as outside food trucks on certain days. Certainly recommend checking the place out. I hope to see you all there. They need to get their chess board pieces back though so I can play a fair game next time.
Love this place❤️ peanut butter cup kratom is my drink of choice.
Coming from another kava bar owner this place is amazing!!!! Beautiful design and even cooler that it is in such a historical building. I would happily drive the hour from where i live to visit this bar frequently. Krystal was an amazing kava tender as well. Super friendly and outgoing. We will be back for sure!
Great atmosphere, love how local musicians all sit around and play music, sounds awesome.
Love the decor, the ambience
Staff is amazing very knowledgeable
Prices for 1 glass is very expensive 12 dollars for 1 glass of a drink is something I cannot afford but the drinks are very tasty especially the chocolate hazelnut milk.
I’ll go again.
Not a bad place to hang out for a drink.
Really enjoyed sitting outside with friends enjoying the moment. A little pricey but comfy.
Vegetarian options: I hate vegans
Dietary restrictions: All
Parking: None
Kid-friendliness: Horrible
Wheelchair accessibility: None
Way over priced, and service is a little rude….. The food truck outside was definitely better than the actual kava bar
<1>Let’s start of on a positive note ; the layout is nice and comfy if you are trying to rest
<2>The Boba used here is poor at best and not cooked properly
<3>The workers cuss and are not generous in any way
<4>The restrooms are located in such a poor placement
<5>Pricing is to high
Please contact me via email if you are interested
10. Dollar General

Courteous staff and helpful. I always find what I’m looking for and the prices are great!
Hay muchos productos de excelentes marcas a un buen precio comparado con otras tiendas.
Great except I spent too long walking around I guess so the staff started to follow me lol guess they were relieved when I paid for my items!!
First have a Look at a Dollar Store before you Go somewhere Else.
Places okay it was a restaurant over there but everybody was nice
Seemed kind of messy
Very rude manager, avoid if your try shop on Saturday and save money. She rather lose customers then inform you how and what kind of coupons you can use.
Place was a mess shelfs not stocked even know they had many pallets blocking the the walking path
One person at checkout, didn’t have what I wanted after waiting in line!
11. New England Antiques of Punta Gorda
Address: By Appointment Only at our Clients Residence Warehouse location at, 209 E Ann St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
We would like to share our opinion of Fred Elliott and New England Antiques. Approximately twenty years ago we met as neighbors and immediately started a business relationship. Since moving here from Maryland we have always bought and sold antiques as we had done up north. When ever any opinion was needed we called on New England Antiques because of Fred overwhelming knowledge of the business. Fred has found numerous antiques that we have been searching for and without fail has always produced and then treated us very fair while dealing . Since in Florida we have not met anyone in the with the knowledge of antiques that he possesses. I urge you to call New England Antiques whenever your are in the market to purchase or sell any antiques.
Thank You Fred and Nancy for all your help in past sales and purchases,
George & Tina Herl
Five stars is NOT high enough!!
Not only was Mr Elliott courteous, but he was also prompt with his valuation and beyond helpful in explaining how he came to that conclusion. He even went so far as to offer shipping advice for my piece, which is something that a commercial storefront would not have taken the time to do.
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend his services to ANYONE who needs to know the answer to “I wonder if this is worthy anything?” and would DEFINITELY recommend that you get your item(s) appraised by his company for your insurance purposes.
Making the call to “New England Antiques of Punta Gorda” was something I should have done YEARS ago!!
It was a pleasure today to meet Fred and his wife Nancy. Fred was very helpful and it was nice to meet someone who was willing to share his knowledge in reference to what we were looking to accomplish. He took the time to explain the market today and how it works and he was honest and fair. We would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again. Loved sharing stories as well.
Lot’s of nice things
Very knowledgeable and informative and quick to answer your questions and concerns.
12. Starbucks
Address: 1001 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
Absolutely love it. Go there all the time. Lines aren’t too long. And staff are very efficient.
I go to Starbucks all the time and always order the same drink. A Venti, brown sugar, oat milk, shaken espresso, but I sub the oat milk with sweet cream and add sweet cream, cold foam. 95% of the time I would say I am dissatisfied with most locations in how they make the drink, but today I was deeply satisfied with the quality of the coffee I received they made a phenomenally blended coffee which was worth the money. Good job guys, I was very impressed.
Great staff and product. Pretty decent rewards program.
I absolutely love coming to Starbucks they are amazing. This morning however the lady taking my order was very rude, my drink wasn’t filled all the way and my order wasn’t right.
Pretty good, usually get the order right, still like kings hwy a little better
This one will give you the expected result of a Starbucks with a very interesting building design.
The one star off should be thrown at corperate for under stocking this one.
This Starbucks is very dirty. The tables are not cleaned with crumbs under the tables and chairs. For a new store , it is shameful. Hope the management can this review and do something with it .
I’ve gone several times to this Starbucks and they can’t seem to get it right. I always get cold foam on top of my latte but they never blend it long enough so the drink is essentially just a cup full of milk. This morning I couldn’t even drink it.
I ordered a venti beverage and they gave me a Grande and charged me for a venti and used the points I had saved up for my free beverage
13. TJ’s CDS & More
Address: 2616 Tamiami Trail UNIT 5, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
Very nice shop. If you’re looking for it, he’s most likely got it!
Good
Everything I wanted I could find there, CDs, Records, Fabric posters, Movies, Shows. Great prices too I got a 2 brand new Nirvana albums for $30!!! What a deal! Definitely a great place to go for any music, movie, or show lovers
I just got into collecting records and this place has a wide selection from vinyl, CD, dvds that you should find something you would like.
Great place to buy LP records, but the selection of 45’s are really low. Wish you’d get better inventory and ones with picture sleeves, than those ones on the shelf. Very friendly service. Good location off Tamiami Trail and good parking.
14. Fedora’s Cigar & Wine Bar
Address: 2117 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
I love going here, it never feels like an establishment. It always feels like a friends place. Lisa and Tom are wonderful and I enjoy every visit. Keep up the great work.
Great people! What a beautiful cigar lounge and wine bar. Try the Maduro draft beer with your next cigar!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent selection of cigars. A great place to sit back relax have a cigar and a cold beer.
No other place in Punta Gorda better than this one!
Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Good selection of cigars. The only place in town to be.
Pleasant environment inside. But it’s located in a shabby little shopping center with a bail bondsman next door. Outside parking is narrow and very difficult to navigate in and out of.
Humidor extremely small
You expect a cigar bar to be smoky, but not stifling due to no apparent ventilation. Staff ignored us repeatedly as they served customers at tables each side of us, who purchased their cigars, but, staff was helpful in choosing wine. Band was excellent but cannot recommend for return visit due to staff service.
15. The Refindery Market
Address: 117 Herald Ct Unit 1111, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
What an inviting shop with reasonable prices and very unique pieces! There was even a cute little puppy sitting on the checkout counter ❤️ WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!
Great store! Great stuff! Reasonable prices! Check it out!
The market is full of treasures everywhere you look. Great design pieces to make your home unique and inviting. Nice collections of intriguing and classy designs. The prices are fantastic and the selection is vast. The clothing is very hip and affordably priced.
I love my mirror and look forward to bringing my sister and daughters to shop and dine in Punta Gorda. And to find many more cherished items!
The free public parking is right next door.
Very friendly, and helpful atmosphere and staff.
My husband and I have purchased several pieces from this store in the past. Today we went to buy a print and one of the owners of the store could not have been more rude when we asked if they could negotiate the price.. Common practice in any store like this. I ended up buying it because I really liked it but I have to say that I will never walk in that store again. He doesn’t know how to talk to customers and doesn’t deserve my business.. I was insulted and embarrassed by his behavior..
Clothing prices are way too high for a thrift store. I was excited to check it out and purchase a few items, but prices are at least triple what I’ve seen at any other thrift store. I won’t be returning.
16. Habitat for Humanity
Address: 1750 Manzana Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
Clean, neat, and super friendly staff. I will definitely be returning.
Very neat and organized,personable staff
sturdy lil fellers
Bought several tools good prices
Great customer service! Helped me find things.
Huge inventory, really nice staff….the best Habitat store in Charlotte county!
Ready to make a large purchase after being told by no less than two employees that purchases were 30% off items priced over $25 storewide. Items were priced $149.99 each. Told by the employee at the register that my items would be 30% off. Another extremely rude woman that works there (I assume bad managment) came in and corrected her. Not the time to swoop in and kill the sale of donated goods, bad treatment of customers and poor business sense. Get communication in order with staff and price/mark items accordingly. Customers willing to make multiple hundred dollar purchases are not mind readers and rely on what they are told by staff. Word should be honored, rather than making good buyers feel like they have been treated poorly or that they have tried to pull something.
(we know, you will work to improve… But that won’t change the experience.)
Extremely expensive!the employees save items for themselves and will nit sell it to customers had a very bad experience with that!
Uncomfortable, lady say same thing every time as if her doing her job bugs her.. you work for habitat your not the owner of a thift shop. SMH just do your job..
17. The Salvation Army Family Store
Address: 1048 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
These People are Truly Amazing and the Cashier was so sweet and helpful. And the Prices were So Great!
I like this store. He has very good treatment for workers. Here I get many in very good condition. New and almost new ❤️
Always find wonderful treasures at fair prices!
Need more space
Better quality items, furniture is in good condition
Store is packed sometimes difficult to see items
Good sales if you watch signage for when they occur
Does not deliver
Found a lot of good things for the house here. Good prices too if you watch the sales.
Prices are very high. Normally people shop thrift stores to find good deals but prices in this store are what you would pay for something new in a retail store. I have also rethought donating items to this location.
Went to visit this store today sign on door showed all of the daily sales including 35 percent off of furniture, picked out a furniture item get to check out it’s not 35 percent on this furniture item, it needed a three part tag. A little disappointed to say the least. Also the prices in there have trippled for used goods that had been given to them free with donation.
I don’t believe they are fulfulfilling their mission in that their prices are just too high. I know that they are market driven and a huge portion of their market are snowbirds and residents of the Isles, but this is suppose to be a thrift store. To price blouses, dresses, at 10 to 15.00 a piece is ridiculous. I have shopped thrift stores for over 20 years, and some of those years were out of necessity. Prices were fair, now they treat their clothing like a retail store, with pricing ranging from 4.00 for a simple tee to 25.00 for a boutique ititem. They use to have flat pricing, all blouses one price, pants one price but no more. Their clothing racks are packed so tight it’s even difficult to view items. And I rarely see sales, what is put on sale in terms of clothes is pitiful. Sorry for rambling but I’ve really become discouraged with this charity. I won’t donate anything to it anymore.
18. O’Reilly Auto Parts
Address: 1202 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
Very nice store,Mike is very helpful and knowledgable. Should be management instead of just a.counter person. Great asset to the company.
Great staff!!!
Very friendly and didnt automatically try and sell me the most expensive but instead heard what i had to say then properly accommodate to my needs
Typical
Incompetent. Not a big enough word…… Need three parts… One was in stock…. Ordered 2more…. Pick up next day… They called and said my order was in…. Go there…. Oppp…. We only have 2…. Thought I was at Mac Donald’s
The service was slow and the salesperson had zero knowledge of what he was helping me with. I ended up going to another parts store. NAPA
Did not like it.
19. Goodwill Retail & Donation Center
Address: 3415 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
I was pleasantly surprised when I went into this Goodwill store. I wasn’t expecting too much because of other reviews, but to be honest this is probably one of the nicer Goodwills I’ve been in. It was clean, not overly crowded, and nicely organized. And had cute chairs to drink something out front on the big deck.
There was a really nice book section with good quality hard and soft cover books. Housewares was decent. Again organized and not crazy crowded.
There wasn’t too much in furnituure, but there were a couple of brand new mattresses. But I’m sure that gores up and down like all thrift stores.
This is not Bloomingdale’s. Its a thrift store, And as long as you don’t mind going through the racks, just like Ross or Marshall’s, then you’re in the right place.
And… the girl behind the counter was very nice. I didn’t get her name but she had purple hair and was very sweet and even made a little chitchat said thank you at the end. (Yes thats a big deal these days)
I’ll be back!
Great place to donate unwanted goods
Store was clean workers were polite wide variety of everything keep up the great work
There is always a baregen at Goodwill.I dare you to go there and not find something you need/want.such a good charrety.Ifound a really big, deep clay dish.Pie dish to you, birdbath to me.My wild birds will love it and I get to enjoy all the beautiful wild birds we have here in S. Fl.What a find. Only $ 1.5.
Nice people here
Friendly clerk. Furniture section was pretty much non existent, and for what they had it was overpriced for the condition it was in. Good selection of clothes and PLENTY of appliances. Lots of books for all ages.
Disappointing selection of housewares & linens. Staff not very friendly. Told cashier to have a nice holiday, he just turned his head away
Okay this new location, has horrible A/C.
It’s one of the hottest goodwills I’ve been in.
In the A/M the temp is okay but mid day after is
There is no A/C vents in the fitting rooms so it gets unbearably hot while trying on your items.
Prices to high you can buy a new childrens polo shirt for a 1.90 more than what goodwill charges. Cookware (rusted used crockpot)
12.99 when you can get a new one 15.00
20. Punta Gorda Coffee & Tea
Address: 117 Herald Ct Unit 118, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 , Punta Gorda Isles , Florida , United States
I am new to the area, and this was my first time here. The barista was wonderful and answered all of my questions about the menu. My coffee was delicious! I also had the sausage roll and I highly recommend.
Bonita experiencia.
Excelente café, todo muy limpio y gente amable. Pequeño café moderno y nuevo pero con mucho detalle y cariño.
Great coffee and awesome customer service!
Must learn how to make great cappuccino but service is great!
Went here for the first time today on my lunch break cause I pass it almost everyday. Kaitlyn helped me and she had some good recommendations and was super sweet. Got the Mediterranean panini which was pretty decent and got the black cherry lemonade which was a little on the sour side but also decent. Ate my lunch there and got a coffee and dessert on my way out. The coffee was not so good and neither was the dessert but soooo expensive. I spent almost $40 on just myself for a panini, a lemonade, a coffee and dessert. Marine worth checking out but not if you’re ballin on a budget.
Good food but no substitutions so there was only one thing I could eat, smoothies here are watery, staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, prices are high for the quality of food, best thing here is the ambiance.
Features: Staff wore masks
. CHEAP LOW GRADE COFFEE DRESSED UP AND SOLD AT HIGH PRICES…..NO BLONDE ROASTS OR BLONDE ESPRESSOS…PEOPLE HERE DONT KNOW WHAT COFFEE IS….FOLKS – IF YOU THINK THIS JUNK IS GOOD COFFEE IVE GOT A BRIDGE IN BROOKLYN I WANNA SELL YA
More than Starbucks and McDonald’s has better coffee
<1>I’ll start of with something positive; The place is absolutely gorgeous and well thought out and the workers seem decent.
<2>The time it takes them to make a smoothie, coffee, or Juice is to long; competitors do it faster, sorry
<3>The juice taste watered down
<4>The milkshakes taste like bad ideas or poor executions
<5>The pricing is to high for the quality and care put into the products
<<<<<>>>>>
I took 3 friends here and two of them were disappointed with what they ordered and that’s never a good sign
