Purchased the best bass guitar I have ever owned from Guido’s. Thanks
Nice place, great customer service.
Always a pleasure to do business with Guido! Fair and honest!
Great service and reasonable prices.
Only doing one star because no stars is not an option.
I’ve dealt with this store a few times and each time it’s literally been worse.
Bought a guitar and the binding broke off immediately – they blamed me.
$200 fix and I had to take it to another music shop I trust.
Asked for help on another matter and they told me it was “too much trouble.”
They literally don’t care about you just wanting your money.
If you do business with them beware.
Never had a good experience here. Claimed I accused him of “stealing my friends guitar a few years ago”. I was 16 at the time he accused me of this. “a few years ago” I would’ve been in middle school. Because of this, he refused to buy a piece of used equipment from me. Truth be told, I just don’t think he had they money to buy it and made up a story to get me out of his shop. He asked me to never come back, and I certainly never did. I was also testing out a Line 6 amplifier and he would continuously come over to the amp and turn off the distortion. I was playing it at a very reasonable level, but he apparently doesn’t like metal, so he would just turn off the distortion and walk away. What the heck? I bought the amp – but I bought it from another shop. Take your business to Big Event Music. Its a much better shop.
I bought a 1949 Gibson LG3 from Guido at the Arlington Guitar Show this past weekend that he stated to be all original. Within 24 hours I discovered the bridge had been replaced which effects its value greatly. I asked for some compensation for this change & Guido refused to give me a break on price & refused to take it back. He stated “I should give him back money from our last transaction or he would do nothing for me”. Is this how you want to be treated by a so called expert ? There was no offer ever made to buy back both guitars back from me at all. Never again will I be burned by Guido !

Took my guitar to get a repair and Michael went above and beyond with the repairs in an incredibly short amount of time, and with amazing customer service. I’m very happy with my visit and will definitely be coming back for more business
Very friendly service. I had my Les Paul rewired after a nightmare experience with a shop in Monroe, La. Big Event did a superb job with my guitar! I also had a guitar with a Floyd Rose turned into a hard tail by blocking the tremolo. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great.
It’s over 100 miles from home but Big Event EARNED a new customer!
Thank you!
Dr. Steve Owen
They are so helpful and good deals!
Does it have a recording studio? I want to make a song
My one stop shop for all my musical needs. You can also record tracks. Awesome place.
Excellent service
Holy cow. I didn’t even know this place was open until I went inside. Not very inviting and the whole building needs renovations. Seemed very trashy. Almost made me feel like the items there have less value just because of how badly ran the building is.
Not enough inventory
I bought everything from guitar cases to a JBL top of line PA from them before I found out they are totally BOGUS! Sold me used merchandise as new, then got an attitude when I called them on it! Cuss me out when you’re a thiefing liar? I don’t think so! I wouldn’t buy a guitar pick from these people!!!
A little bit pricey on some things, but great selection.
Great store. I found many out of print used dvds/cds. Great new stuff as well. I never ever leave disappointed.
Awesome experience! Great service! Plenty of different things to look at!
Great collectables and t-shirts, but their prices are a little high for my tastes.
Several of the movies I’ve bought there were scratched so badly they wouldn’t play. I only bother returning them when I don’t mind the risk of getting that one cashier who won’t let me buy anything without having an email. Everything else about the store is great.
It’s ok use to have a better selection of stuff.
False advertising
BOGO beanies (no exclusions listed) are not BOGO….they are BOGO with exclusions. I spoke with 2 staff members who could or would not help and there was no manager.
Take the signs down or honor them.
Cute enough little shop.
Not a big selection.
NO fudge
6. Crystal Hill Recording and Sound

Random Records is one of my favorite spots in Hot Springs due to the vast selection and a really friendly owner who loves what she does. A must visit for sure.
The BEST She IS… about the music…passionate & reality…
Very well organised…
Class Act… also, every selection is “cleen/proofed…”
This store has made significant improvements! A good rotation of new stock hand picked by the owner and cautiously graded make this a store to visit often…
Shelley Martin is simply the best flute teacher I ever had.. She was my flute teacher from 1996-2001 at Henderson State University while I studied for my BA in Music and she never gave up on someone who was so far behind everyone else in her studio. She just pushed me to become a better musician little by little over the years through her teaching and by being an example herself of what to aspire to.
Shelley is really good with my 9 year old as a new student. She makes it fun and interesting for him. She’s very experienced in teaching music lessons to all ages.
Ms. Martin is an excellent teacher. My daughter was a clarinet student of hers for years. My daughter was selected for All-Region band for 4 years and All-State for 2 years. My daughter’s success is due at least partially to the hard work, tutelage, cheers, and support from Ms. Martin. I recommend Ms. Martin whole heartedly.
My daughter was recently selected to join the UVA marching band!! Go Hoos Go!

Good folks here, it is a pleasure to deal with Paul he is a kind hearted person and eager to help, he also is a great musician and knows his way around the guitar.
Great place for your music needs.
I bought a guitar from Paul online and I’m so happy to know it was a privately owned business.
Thanks Paul for the guitar and the excellent customer service. Hope to visit you one day!
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Not to bad
Rude
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.
Had a problem with a Rise by sawtooth classical nylon string guitar. They wouldn’t work on it because after their $175 repair, it would still be a bad guitar. Best guitar shop ever!
I met a super cool guy last week. His name is David McFarland and he is the owner of RockTown Music in Little Rock, AR. I was flying into Little Rock from Denver to do a single show at the Robinson Center. I needed a small amp for my acoustic guitar. David agreed to rent me an amp for the day. Because I was just coming in for the one gig and had a really tight turnaround, David graciously agreed to deliver the amp to the venue for me, right when I needed it. If this were not enough, again because of an even tighter turnaround from the gig back to the airport, Mr. McFarland even agreed to pick up the amp AND ME and drop me off at the airport! Wow! What a guy! I never met the guy before in my life and he totally helped make my trip a breeze! This is someone who knows how to go the extra mile (quite literally!). This is an owner who understands what “customer service” means and isn’t afraid to make things work, even if it might be a bit outside the box. I wish RockTown was in Denver! David, you have a new friend in Denver and if there is ever a way I can help you out, you know how to find me!
My husband took my grandmothers guitar to this place to get fixed and it was ready super quick and he did an AMAZING job. I’d give this place 10 stars if that was an option great work! I will definitely recommend this store to anyone and everyone I know.
Nice, friendly environment. This guys is experienced in his craft and genuine in the way he conducts business. A rare find these days.
Great spot, super amount of knowledge and experience with repairs among other services. Same problem everybody else has with out of stock items here and there.
Took a vintage martin guitar for repair. Ended up with a bad experience. I’ll just leave it at that.
Dishonest and lazy. He has earned that distinction with me after implying that I attempt to make and sell a counterfeit guitar on the market. His boundaries are not clear. He should have refused the work order instead of hemming and hawing trying to teach me a lesson in trademark infringement. I also hired him to put Seymour Duncans in a Squire. When I called him for progress report he said he was “working on it now”. I go back 2 weeks later and the Seymour Duncans hadn’t even arrived yet. I have no trust in dishonest and lazy people. Oh, and Bryon, please dont call me about this post. If you’re a good luthier, I suggest you keep your nose in the workshop out of site from the customers.
After many attempts trying to visit this place because it has been closed. I finally went into the store today and found the guy Dave not to be very friendly or welcoming. So I only stayed a few minutes. I won’t ever be back!

I got a 2014 GMC Acadia in 2020 I love my truck hands down. Got Car Sheild worst mistake I made water pump went out & caused to blow head gasket, they didn’t cover. Called John Gibson talked to Lane in the service department and he worked up the service bill to go to Meridian, MS & bring my truck back & get it fixed, Thank you Lord for John Gipson & Lane the sales department does a great job of getting you in a great automobile, they have the best selection of any lot around.
Cory was Awesome helped me understand and got me just what I wanted….. Thanks so much
Areana was awesome, excellent help.
Really good people but service is slow.
So glad that I chose this car company. Very friendly people and willing to help you any way they can. I recommend John Gibson Auto to everyone. Thanks to the staff
Nice people, hi prices
This place has THE RUDEST customer service I have ever encountered. I HATE THAT I STARTED TO FINANCE A CAR WITH THEM! Do not go to this place! I called to pay my car note today and was 30 days behind on 1 payment and NOT 30 days past due on the next payment.. A lady in collections told me that I had to pay both car payments PLUS repo fees???!! Mind you, MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN REPOED SO WHY WOULD I HAVE TO PAY over $200.00 in REPO FEES, when I asked this question the lady told me they had been “looking” for my car and couldn’t find it, that’s why I had to pay these fees and that the fee WAS NOT NEGOTIABLE … well, they have my recent address and my work address. These are the only two places that I’m at EVERYDAY so my car has not been hiding. I told the woman I would call her back because I didn’t feel like I needed to pay repo fees if my car had not been repoed. I was looking for corporate or for a number to call to make sure the info she gave me was accurate. She called in less than 5 mins back saying it was a mistake and I didn’t need to pay the repo fees (I knew I didn’t have to pay them in the first place because my car was not repoed, I STILL HAVE MY CAR) all in all, I paid my car note up to date and I will never do business with them once the car is paid off. If I would’ve paid those fees and acted as if what she said made SENSE, this would have been MONEY IN THEIR POCKET AND IM SURE THEY DO THIS TO PEOPLE ALL THE TIME. This is bad business and a complete SCAM. I’m currently looking for someone to speak with about this situation.
We drove 2 hours for a camper. We looked at the one we seen online. It had lots of small issues, including the vent a hood and light above the stove would not work, the awning cover was broke, found out had water damage they had repaired but the floor was coming up where they had attempted to do that. The maintenance guy kept asking us if we were buying it before he would repaid anything. We asked to knock 900 off for the issues – was told they couldn’t do that by law. They can only have one price. There is not a fair trade law so we called bullcrap and left. They did not want to sell anything and you could tell by there demeanor. I do not recommend even trying to deal with them.
Didn’t and won’t purchase a motorcycle from this dealer. They’re asking… no, demanding… $13k for a bike worth $7k retail and refuse to negotiate. Complete scam, charging almost DOUBLE.

Address: 508 Lillian, Benton, AR 72015 , Rockwell , Arkansas , United States
I had to get my son some items for his school instrument. I had no idea where to go, but was recommended to visit this place. They had all the items I needed for a good price, and even recommended better options that saved me some money.
Great place
Awrsome
Very friendly staff!
Very nice place
Lovely and very friendly staff. They are so welling and happy to help you with anything you need or may have questions about. Definitely recomend going here. Only reason didnt give them 5 stars, is some of the items/parts are pricey compared to online. But if you need it immediately or just cant find it online then go here. I’d also recommend comparing their price for what you need before making the decision. They have things on sale.
The lady that works in here, is like you are bothering her when you come inside the store, like really? Anyways after coming back in to make a payment as my wife had forgotten to one time, she didn’t mind being nice once she knew she getting money. Flute is almost paid for, and will never come back if we need another item.
