All Things Piano did a fabulous job moving my son’s piano from Hiawassee, (North Ga) to Athens, Ga which is a two hour trip. I contacted many movers whose price for pick up and delivery were outrageously expensive: $800 to $1200. As I searched for movers I came across All Things Piano and gave Phil a call. He was very helpful and put our piano on his schedule for less than $400. He sent two men and a truck to Hiawassee and picked up the piano and delivered it to my son’s house in Athens without any problems. The movers were very careful and helpful with using a ramp to move the piano directly into the house. I highly recommend All Things Piano because they are all things good! Thank you Phil for your excellent service!
This is a great company if you need a piano moved! They have by far the best and most fair price in the area. When I contacted them about an appointment Phil was so nice about fitting me in even though I needed my piano moved in just a few days. The men who showed up were on time, pleasant and professional. My piano didn’t even need to be tuned once it was set up, they were so careful with it! Overall I was very pleased with this service, I would definitely use them again.
10 stars!!!
I called around to have my great grandmother’s 1925 upright piano moved from Gwinnett County to Hart County. Phil was very professional on the phone asked me a few questions then gave me a price, which was way less then any other. Matt and Miles were the the 2 young men moving the the piano on moving day. They arrived at my sisters on-time, wrapped and loaded our treasure. My sister was very pleased with there work on her end. They had to deliver another piano in Athens on the way. Matt sent me a text and let me know they were on the way. Which was great! When they arrived he introduced himself, there was a slight issue with where I wanted to place it, or I thought he checked it out and the attic stairs are just out of the way. They bought it in set it up made sure I was happy. Then we paid. This company is great! If I ever had to move it or another piano again I would definitely use them. Very professional, WELL priced, we were expecting to pay alot more. Thanks, Phil, Matt and Milo for taking care of my great grandmother’s gift to me.
All Things Piano personnel were professional and transported/set up my piano with no mishaps. I was very pleased with the condition of the piano after its storage and move.
The cost was reasonable except for unlocking the action which took about 3 minutes, and the cost for that was a little steep. Otherwise, I would recommend this company for piano storage/transport.
6. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 102 Addison Ln, Hoschton, GA 30548 , Russell , Georgia , United States
There’s a great selection of new and vintage guitars, ukuleles and accessories. The owner is always available, and is extremely knowledgeable and connected in the local music scene. He offers lessons with local musicians, and has great rooms available for practice and lessons.
I am 36 yrs old and had barely touched a guitar in my life prior to taking lessons from Rick. I have only been taking lessons for a few weeks, but now I can actually play a few songs that my wife can recognize. I have a ways to go before I would call myself proficient, but with Rick’s help I am confident I will get there.
I’ve had the opportunity to learn music and voice from sources. I must say that nothing comes close, to this particular experience. The piano lessons provided here are both stimulating and motivating and the guidance provided by the instructor has played a role, in my development.
A wonderful place that hosts some of the most talented musicians – including Thom! Do not miss the opportunity to catch an open Mike or a live show! If you or your children have an interest in learning a variety of instruments (or singing) the school is very hard to beat!
106 West is phenomenal!! Becky and Thom are amazing people with amazing talent. My daughter learned so much from them!
No hours posted. Waisted a trip. It’s 1322 on a Friday and I still have know idea when the shop is open.
Very helpful, I had no idea u could tune ur guitar with an app on ur phone
My son (9 years old) has been coming here for about 7 months now for Piano lessons. His teacher is good and keeps my son’s interest high (Believe me it’s not an easy task). Thankful for that.
The owner John is a cool dude, sometimes I wish I have his job. They sell many music instruments at this place and they also do repairs.
I’m not into music, but I can tell that customers are happy with the service they get.
Got some good referral here for a piano tuner which worked great for me.
They do have other teachers here for guitar and I think drums too.
I’m sorry I did not take pictures of the inside, but this place gets the best reviews just because if their awesome costumer service.
I am so happy I found this place. I came in to get my guitar fix and I was taken care so well.
Great plce.Friendly staff.
Guy running the store was very helpful and knowlegable.
Tienda pequena pero buen servicio
I’ve been here 3 times during store hours. nobody at the store go to another shop.
Place needs to just close! doubt me, go see what I’m talking about.
Literally 4:08pm on a Saturday I show up. They were not open. Sign on the door says 10am-6pm. Very disappointed.

The are very nice guys and fair priced. Their process is very fast. Their store is neat and clean. Very professional. I will return to this establishment.
.The people there show respect and great attitude..always doing what they can to help everyone…i love IPAWN.
I will never choose no other place to go, I will tell you that! Best ever! ❤
Excellent service!
Need to test products more. They have great prices and great deals but electronically, need to fully test their game systems. Bought one yesterday and the controller was broke and the system took 25 minutes to boot up
decent group of guys…however pricing is not great and if you are selling they low ball.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Purchased laptop, wouldn’t even turn on. Bad business.
They lie about they policy even when you show it to them. My computer was due 3/30 I pick it up 4/8 and they charge an extra $100 after I called and they told me my grace period was 10 days after the due date. And couldn’t explain why Im being charged two months of interest. And this lady came with a diamond real I feel sorry for because I heard what they offer her for it. they are thieves don’t pawn or buy stuff from them.
So when i called them first they called me a , 2nd of all when I tried to ask a question they just hung up on me And 3rd of all they were just Very rude to me for no reason at all I asked them if they would buy something from me and they say no you sell it on eBay so So I asked them do you know any other places that might buy the items that I was trying to sell to them but they wouldn’t buy for me and And then they just hung up on me
13. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Russell , Georgia , United States
Jackson’s repair artist, Doug, recently rebuilt my Selmer Mark VI. I say artist because Doug took the job to a level which surpasses just a collection of new parts being installed and rather added an organic component that only a caring professional with a mindset of a job meeting a standard only they are able to lay eyes to and understand. Doug certainly meets and surpasses the highest of modern professional repair standards and has my highest recommendation.
A class act!
I recently brought in a valuable old trumpet for repairs, and the workmanship was impeccable. I’m a semi-pro player, so details matter, and Jackson’s delivered. Further, the personal attentiveness and old-fashioned “family-run business” feeling — so difficult to find nowadays — is what sets Jackson’s apart from all the rest.
Cill people, let’s you trade in
Great shop for band instruments as well as player instruments.
Good selection of accessories
Chad was very helpful.
Staff is nice, small selection tho. Mostly beginner instruments and school band instruments.
Probably the rudest treatment I’ve ever gotten from the owners of a store.
If you need to get repairs or looking for new instruments. Go online or guitar center. Please don’t waste your time here. They have no clue how to treat customers.
Also: They don’t have any good equipment for musicians actually wanting to play. If you want some cheap guitars or any other instruments. You wont finde any there worth buying. And they also don’t have any high value gear. Things are over-priced, damaged, and/or not what they tell you it is. The return policy also has many flaws. Don’t come here to try out things. Come here if you want to waste some money and buy cheap quality gear.
If I could give zero or lower stars I would. My son’s saxophone gave him problems from the start. I was told on 4 occasions to bring it in. Today Brandon told me he would finally be in, he wasn’t. When I didn’t understand the question to do you have others I could look at, he responded “I have two eyes”. Rude beyond belief! Never again Jackson Music and I’ll make sure to share this with the band families at all the schools I work with as an administrator. Horrible customer service! UPDATE: The nice woman owner called and apologized. I forgive her and believe she doesn’t condone that type behavior.
My music teacher wants me to have a metronome. Went in looking for a metronome. They didn’t have any, which was odd for a music store, but I wasn’t upset about it. On my way out, another associate clarified that they don’t carry metronomes because most people simply use their phones; totally reasonable. I clarified that I prefer a physical metronome, and I’d look somewhere else. The associate then told me that “professionals and real musicians use the app” and undermined my preference for a physical one. “The customer is always right” is not a maxim held by Jackson’s music. They assert that they know best, and in my experience come across as somewhat unhelpful and arrogant.
14. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Russell , Georgia , United States
Great experience all around and beautiful set up. Aaron Brown never pressured me to buy anything but played different guitars for me while I had my back turned so I could choose by sound alone. Pretty cool. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks for helping me today
First review i have done and it is worth it. I have had nothing but great experiences when i visited Town Center. The manager/owner Aaron and the staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure i left happy. They carry great brands and make you feel like you’re apart of the crew. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for music gear from beginners to professionals. Thank you Town Center!
Hands down best music store I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend.
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Taught my kids to play guitar
Good
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
Took down my review. Owner ultimately seemed to care about his customers. Too bad everything is so politically incorrect. Anyone still remember Archie Bunker?
But to clarify what idiot would try to exchange something opened, like a reed.
Amazon prime still winnnning.
AVOID AVIOD
High prices not helpful run by a guy who looks 40 and still in a garage band no music
background not open late any place better then here. Manger is clueless.
15. Music Masters
Address: 1806 Russell Pkwy Ste 700, Warner Robins, GA 31088 , Russell , Georgia , United States
Music Masters is our go to place in Warner Robins for all our music needs. From cable ends, to boutique guitars and anything in between. Nice, experienced people who give lessons. Shop local and support our small businesses!
Foster has always treated me fairly, and all of my experiences at Music Masters have been nothing but positive!
Great friendly staff. Good prices and all 9f your music related needs. They also teach
Nice music shop. We are pleased with a kid friendly guitar lessons taught by Mr. Mike.
Update:Feb 2022. Still attending lessons and my child has taken a liking to guitar. His finger placement has gotten better and knowing the proper strings for several chords.
Went in to get some supplies for taking care of a trumpet. They didnt have a huge variety but they did gave neat grab and go packs. They did, however, have a huge selection of guitars, ukuleles and other strings as well as a few brass and woodwinds.
Great deals, great service. It’s always nice to have a local, hometown music store for that personal touch. Lessons are also available. Wish there was a bigger selection there, though–go buy some stuff there so they can afford more space! 🙂
I had a violin restrung there a few months back. Violins are better maintained by a shop that specializes in violins but I went ahead and took the chance when the folks at Music Masters assured me they could get the job done.
Although the job was done faster than I expected, the quality was very sloppy. First, the strings were not even in tune and the bridge was filed down unevenly. There were also some kind of oil or lotion spots/fingerprints all over the body which indicated poor attention to detail.
After I took it back, they insisted on redoing the work with a new bridge that i had to provide. Second time around, it didn’t look very different from the first job. In the end, I was down $40-something bucks and didn’t even consider taking it back a third time.
Music Masters might be good with other things, but I wouldn’t reccomend sending your violin there for work.
Courteous & friendly but I wouldn’t take an amp there for repair. I was told that I’d get a call with the diagnosis. 2 weeks later I called only to be told they haven’t been able to find anyone willing to work on it. It clearly states on their website that they repair both tube & solid state amplifiers? I’m a little preplexed..
Employees act unprofessional around minors….disturbing experience.
16. 333 THE STUDIO
Address: 380 Winston Manor Way, Winder, GA 30680 , Russell , Georgia , United States
Super dope vibe every time me and Tyler connect! He’s so talented and knowledgeable. Also provides a super professional and productive work environment. I’ve been to studios all across Atlanta but this one hits the spot. 10/10 recommend to any musician on any level!!!
Found Tyler online and hit him up to help me record some acoustic country tunes. He got me in 2 days after calling and we cranked out my 2 best songs so far. Incredibly talented producing and puts on a good comfortable atmosphere when recording.Couldn’t have asked for anything different. Will be going back to him no doubt!
I am so proud of what Tyler has got going on with his studio. He is very welcoming and the experience was great. He gave legit advice and has the work of a professional. I would recommend anybody and everybody just wanting to make music to hit my boy up.
17. SMOKESTARS Vape l CBD l Kratom
Address: 111 E May St #50, Winder, GA 30680 , Russell , Georgia , United States
Great selection of juul pods, great staff , overall great shop .
I think this place is AWESOME.
With every purchase, I earn in store credit.
I appreciate this feature.
The manager Dave, is so down to earth, he listens, understand, and reaches out to help find what I’m looking for. A great person. Greets me everytime I walk in the door like I was a friend.
The other 3 employees, are just like Dave!!! They all make me smile.
I can’t imagine that you won’t find what your looking for in this store. It’s always clean .
I highly recommend this store to my friends and family.
The patrons were friendly and knowledgeable. Compared to other shops that we have visited, the price listed for some things were pretty expensive.
Awesome store. Awesome people
Really nice place, very clean. Cashier guy definitely needs some training in customer service. He was kinda rude and didn’t want to help me find a certain flavor of juice. Kinda disappointed that y’all don’t offer CDL holders a discount since I’ve been to 30+ stores around the country and everyone else does.
Absolutely awful experience! I went in last week and was looking for different juices and things in the store. The worker (tall white dude with messy hair and glasses) was so rude. He told me to get my hands off the glass but yanked my card out of the card reader and put it back in. So I can’t touch the glass but you can touch MY card. I have been here before and never had as bad of an experience as I did with this rude worker. I suggest going anywhere but here. Horrible customer service, hateful, and rude!
To expensive
April 6 2020. I went this morning and the young man there not only used the F word a lot but also over charged me for my liquid. I go to smoke stars over any other place in Winder for the customer service and prices. I got the fruit monster blueberry raspberry lemon that’s usually $13 and was charged $22 for it. Was not happy this morning.
18. Susan Andrews Piano Studio

So, I brought my project guitar to Ruth Guitars that I’ve been holding onto for years. I asked him to build it how he would like it. Oops! Turned out way better than I had ever thought! He was able to install the neck, wire in a crazy cool pick up, added strings and locking bar for the tuners. Superb work! I’ve played several of his guitars and they all have great action and are super comfortable! Highly recommended!
Chris at Ruth Guitars is pretty much the only person I trust w my gtrs.
