This is my goto music store for parts and supplies among other things I dream of buying. They have such a great selection of guitar building components in the back room for Fenders.
I live on the east coast, in between 3 major cities, so I usually have no problem finding what I’m looking for. They had the hard to find hardware I was looking for. Had the items at my door in 3 days. Just placed another order.
Friendly and knowledgeable
Efficient store operation but lacks collection.
They carry a pretty good variety of brands. Good place to go if bored. Although they definitely need to change their drum policy, “You can only play the drums if you’re gonna buy them.” How is someone supposed to know if they want the drums unless they play them. You’ll just have to roll your dice I guess, not a good idea.
Brought my guitar into get work done on it. Neck reset and put new strings on it. They ship it out to the luthier who gives it back in worse condition than I gave it to them in. DO NOT USE!
Do not honor trade in value. Poor customer service.
I was visiting Arkansas for a short time and had a last-minute need for an accessory for my USB microphone. I tried to call them numerous times over two days and no one ever answered the phone, nor did anyone ever return my call despite my leaving a message on the answering machine. So I risked it and drove to the store (because they were the only thing around the area), and when I got to the store I could see that unless I was a guitar player or drummer, I was probably out of luck. I just needed a wind sock for my microphone. They had ONE product that fit that description – with four socks, and all small. I finally had to settle on getting a popscreen instead. I honestly think in my particular situation I would’ve been better off ordering something online or going to BestBuy.
2. Shuffield Music Company
Address: 610 Main St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 , Şagu , Arkansas , United States
Great store with terrific stock and great customer service!
Paul is awesome! He is friendly and very knowledgeable about musical instruments!
My “go to” place for any band gear, lights and sound. Paul knows his stuff and is always ready to help. I love dealing with an Owner Operated family business.
Not to bad
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Rude
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.
3. Quattlebaum Music Center
Address: 101 W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR 72143 , Şagu , Arkansas , United States
I’ve been taking guitar lessons at Quattlebaum’s for nearly a year now, and this place has always been my one-stop music store. Everyone there is so professional and friendly. Have a question about anything? They have the answer. Fair prices, no scams. It’s rare to find a store that has as much commitment as Quattlebaum Music does. Plus, it’s in a beautiful building in a beautiful location. Guitar Center’s got nothing on Quattlebaum’s
No music store I would rather support with my business!!!
Such a neat shop! Great variety of instruments and a very helpful staff!
Great hometown music store! Great selection of both new and classic electric guitars serviced by a wonderful, friendly staff. Family owned for decades!
The staff are friendly, the products seem pretty good, and it’s generally a good place to fulfill your guitar-based needs. They also sell things beyond guitars, like music books for brass, percussion, woodwind, and other string instruments, which would definitely be helpful to anyone looking to learn. From my experience, don’t be afraid to ask seemingly stupid questions; Quattlebaum is a safe place for a beginner to reveal their lack of knowledge.
Friendly people, prices seem fair, selection was good.
They are selling stolen property.
Great home town store
I’ve purchased things from here before, but today, I felt as though my business was not wanted. I took a violin in due to having issues tuning it and the bridge popping off. Was told what I need to do. Told them thank you and asked my daughter if she wanted to look around. Was told to have a nice day. Was not asked if I needed help with anything else. Employee just walked away
4. Guido’s Hot Springs Music
Address: National Park, 812 Higdon Ferry Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913 , Şagu , Arkansas , United States
Love the store! NICE!! Large selection of cool vintage guitars and amps. I’ve been a customer for along time, and they have always been good to me.
Just wanna say thanks for everything!
Will definitely be back
I needed a pedal for my church drumset repaired. I brought two so I could possibly have one at the least repaired. Mr. Guido went to great lengths to work on my situation and even asked if it was okay if he assisted others that needed to make purchases. He did repair one, explaining how it worked and how to reassemble it. I offered to pay him and he would have none of it. I was so pleased with his exemplary customer service skills that I completely forgot about the second pedal. About he time it took me to get home, I received a call personally from him . He kindly informed me that it would be at the counter when I returned. I highly recommend this music store for all that need quality instruments, in expensive repairs and customer service beyond ones expectation.
Great service and reasonable prices.
I drove from Benton to look at a guitar I called about for my son. This has been several months ago but it left such a bad taste in my mouth I found myself thinking about how bad it was and decided I should warn others so they won’t be disappointed by a similar experience.
The guitar was beat up pretty bad but straight otherwise. The owner (the tall heavy set gentlemanwith longish gray hair) was asking $125 for the guitar and was the only person working. The guitar is $145 new (Ibanez Mikro) and was on sale new for $125 @ guitar center. I offered him $100 (way more than I should have). He didn’t bother to look up and said no. I asked would he budge. Again he answered no while hardly acknowledging me. I showed him that it was in sale for the same price new. He told me I should by the new one because he wasn’t budging on his price. I took his advice and that’s what I did. It seemed as if he didn’t care if he sold anything or not. I’ll never shop there again. I previously bought a MIM strat and nice amp from one of the other sales men. I mentioned to him that I was a repeat customer, he just didn’t care. Very disappointed. I wish I were writing g a glowing review about the great deal and excellent service I received. Unfortunately it was a bad experience from the time I stepped in and hardly acknowledged to the time I left. I notice that someone has an excuse for every negative review. I’m anxious to see what the excuse is for my experience considering I was hardly spoken to. I think you have to be friends with the owner for him to care you are even there.
– The person who replied to this made my pint for me. If the guitar came with a case why wasn’t that mentioned to my wife and I. We questioned why a guitar with dings and scratches was priced the same as new one. Wouldn’t that have been a great time to explain that it came with a $75 hard case. It should be no mystery why you can’t make a deal with everyone with these sales tactics. Take some responsibility for you actions and stop blaming your customers. You have accused them of stealing, damaging your equipment confusing you with a pawn shop. Lol!! I would bet every excuse you’ve replied with is a lie to excuse your actions and blame your customer. There are tons of guitars for sale on craigslist, in pawnshops, online I suggest anyone thinking of shopping with you use one of these other options. Have a nice day.
Never been in the shop, only phone conversation. Was not helpful at all, and cut me very short. Moving on…
Only doing one star because no stars is not an option.
I’ve dealt with this store a few times and each time it’s literally been worse.
Bought a guitar and the binding broke off immediately – they blamed me.
$200 fix and I had to take it to another music shop I trust.
Asked for help on another matter and they told me it was “too much trouble.”
They literally don’t care about you just wanting your money.
If you do business with them beware.
5. Guitar Center
Address: 12315 Chenal Pkwy A, Little Rock, AR 72211 , Şagu , Arkansas , United States
Great knowledgeable staff and selection!! Eric knows his stuff.
Best guitar store here. People are great!
Not the greatest equipment is often damaged. But service is okay enough.
Was offended by their choice of music on a Sunday afternoon and I was told by management “that’s just the way we do it here”
Good service.
Rude people
I can go to any major box store walk-in shop check out and leave. A guitar center I have to wait outside the door until I’m allowed to enter. They were only allowing three people at a time in the store. I will be buying online from now on. I don’t need anything guitar center has that bad.
