This place is AWESOME! It feels like there’s a time portal on the front door & you’ve walked back to 1985. From vinyl records to the old skool Nintendo and from the handmade artwork to the kitschy jewelry, Beachside Retro & Records is a nostalgia trip to remember.
Great little record shop with lots of quality vinyl. Prices were fair and the owner was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!
Good selection of vinyl records both old and new. Staff was friendly and helpful with trying to find specific items.
Great little store with a decent selection of new and used records. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Good buys
overpriced, typical snotty beachside people
Just visited this store and found a few unsleeved 45 vinyl records. The guy watched me look through all the crates when I went to the counter to pay for them he said because they were not priced I couldn’t buy them and he was too busy to price them. Not worth a visit
Passed by here, just over 18 months since my last review. The selection has increased, but so have the prices, and quite significantly. Still lots of unpriced 45s around under the counter, and the guy was a little picky about where I could and could not look. Once again the response when querying the price was ‘I’ll look ’em up’. That’s no good to me. I’m not going to spend hours digging through records to then be told a price that is just too high. Didn’t buy a thing, which is unusual for me.
This place rocks! Super friendly, always willing to help and super knowledgeable! Can tell they love what they do! Take care of all your instrumental needs at the Horn Section!
It has almost everything you could need for your instrument but doesn’t have a very wide selection for mouthpieces
Pricey
Friendly fast service!
This is my go to music store, but I called and asked some questions about their instrument protection plan and received very rude customer service. Respectfully, I’m paying a significant amount of money to rent an instrument from them and it would be nice if they were a little more polite.
Ordered an instrument, charged for instrument, after 2 weeks and multiple calls and sitting on hold for 45 mins was informed they have no idea when I would receive my instrument. And my refund will take 3-4 weeks.
First of all, they need to extend their store hours for 2 weeks during August when students are renting instruments. I went on a Saturday and the line was over an hour-long. Secondly, a week later, I tried to return a still sealed, unopened package of reeds to the store and was told they were non-returnable, even though their website specifically says, “The following items are returnable only if defective or unopened or unused: strings, reeds, tubes…” I’m going to ask my child’s band director to consider recommending a different local business for music needs next year.
Frank campione is great to work with when buying pianos! The piano teachers at premier are amazing. Mimi and David rock!
Frank is awesome! He drove for hours to come help set up my piano after another company left it in pieces on my floor. He fixed the problem in no time and was very kind and helpful! I would use him again if he lived closer!! Thank you Frank!
Doing business with Premier Music is a pure delight. Frank was very courteous, listened to all of my concerns, and answered questioned with expert knowledge of his craft. Great customer service.
Horrible experience: Very pushy, very edgy and wanted to up-sell me in spite of my budget. Definitely felt “hustled”. Did not feel like a respected customer here. Will look for our piano elsewhere.
I went here once and bought guitar strings and all was great I went back a few times to look at buying a guitar but they were never open and had a sign by appointment only but never had any luck making one
When asking for a refund of a system that never worked properly the owner advised me “NO REFUNDS and I’m the only game in town. The other piano store is closing anyway”. Brevard County piano customers – beware. This is how “the only game in town” Premier Music feels about your business.

My guitar teacher (Tom) is AWESOME. I can already see I’m going to learn alot from him. Don is a gas too.
Dave’s a great guy, and has always been helpful to me every time I’ve been to his store. I don’t know what the original posters problem was, sounds more like competition trying to hurt Dave.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! If you’re not sure what you need, they will help you find a solution within your budget.
Four stars because the owner rectified this issue and as far as i know, subsequent customers did not have this problem anymore. Props to you for actually caring!
One star because piano instructor Suzanne is knowledgeable and good instructor overall, so she gets the star. Issue is the owner seems to have an issue in his vocabulary or he is very dishonest. He recently started forcing students to pay a “deposit” equivalent to 2 classes. His excuse, “if you dont show up to class, we use the deposit to pay for the instructor’s time;” however, the classes are PRE-PAID which means, that the class is already paid for. When i argued this with him, he said, “well, we actually use that deposit for two extra classes when you choose to quit.” Well, i already chose to quit, so first of all, why would i want two more classes? an entire month is always PRE-PAID too, so no need for “deposit” since classes have been PAID IN ADVANCE. When i signed up, i told them, i was using 4 classes my mother gifted me. They made her leave a 2 class deposit; even though, again, she had PRE-PAID for the four classes. I told them i was only there for the 4 classes. So when i went to my last class, the owner said, “I dont give back deposits, worse case i could give you store credit.” Hmmm… DEPOSIT??? a deposit is something that is given back subject to terms. In apartment, if nothing is broken at end of lease, deposit is given back, in a car rental if the car is not damaged, etc. He is forcing people to prepay every month, AND prepay two classes that they have to take when they no longer want to take classes. Completely dishonest, misleading and rude.
Nice place. A lil on the pricey side. They have good, knowledgable sales people. My complaint deals with their service. Maybe it was just my luck, but I brought in an item to get serviced and was told I would get a call when it was done cuz it had to be sent out. I did not get a call. Later..2 days after I was told it would be done.. I went to pick it up. It was finished, but due to me being in a hurry, i didnt fully check out the item before I left the store. I got home and found some problems with what was supposed to be fixed. I was able to fix most of the issues myself.. I’d consider going elsewhere if you need something like a guitar setup done..
Has some good stuff, but not a great selection. Very cheap or very expensive not much middle
People were nice enough, but what kind of Music Store can’t replace tubes on an amp? Seems more geared toward lessons and selling stuff than repairs or service. Also not open till 12, which probably makes sense.
Had been looking at a particular guitar for some time and finally purchased the guitar. Once home, I changed the strings (Elixir) and then played the guitar. I noticed barre cording was particularly difficult as the neck was out of proportion to the width (of my other guitars). I took the guitar back the next day and was immediately informed they do not refund on returns, but do give a store credit. I was blown away (as it was the very next day I returned the instrument…with new strings on it). They pointed to the small sign near the register (No Returns, Store Credit) and the small print at the bottom of the invoice. So, I looked around for another guitar. On the rack they had a new Guild which was around the same price (a bit more) and I decided I’d take it and pay the dif. When I was checking out, my girlfriend noticed a crack in the side of the guitar near the guitar strap button. When I pointed out the crack, the entire staff looked like a ‘deer in the headlights’, that they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar; they all knew about the crack but were going to sell me the guitar without telling me (had I not pointed it out). Can’t trust these guys at all. I did use the store credit and took the original guitar, maybe one day replacing or repairing the neck. Again, BEWARE, NO REFUNDS!
Not impressed with their hours of operation….went there to buy a cable and they were closed at 11:00 am on a Monday… WHAAT!???…..Marion music was open so went there instead.
11. McDonald’s
Address: 1080 Florida A1A, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
Very pleasant service from drive-thru, received correctly everything I ordered, didn’t have to wait very long for meal.
mwauh
Very clean
School fundraiser/Teacher night at McDonald’s. We enjoy supporting our schools. Granddaughter loves McDonald’s happy meals & this time was Pokémon so made it a double treat. Only disappointment was that the specials advertised on TV weren’t available at this location but the staff is very friendly & accommodating. I swear the burger patties get thinner everytime I visit. Thanks to the Satellite Beach McDonald’s for supporting the local schools
Clean and accurate on my order. Food was fresh and didn’t take long.
Same ol
No,specials
I think when the manager herself is aggressive towards the customers, it tells about her team in general. I have never been kicked out of McDonalds, and this time the manager allowed herself to kick my friends and me out, even though we purchased food. It very unprofessional and rude. And disappointing to have such horrible and disrespectful service.
Terrible service. Unfriendly manager and cashier.
12. Island Thrift
Address: 1118 Florida A1A, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
Great little thrift store. Found some cool treasures. CJ and Cathy were very helpful.
Great price on king headboard & footboard. Owner was helpful and flexible with pickup.
Another nice thrift store. There’s a $10 minimum for using debit/credit cards but I was told I could use one for a $5 purchase and she would charge me an extra dollar. I found out after the fact that she also charged me an additional fee for using the card. Would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Really rude staff, old people set in their way. Most of their items are excessively overpriced and damaged in some way. This is not worth the trip.
13. Marion Music
Address: 4970 Stack Blvd #B3, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
Great place to buy gear and instruments for musicians, both new and used.
It’s a lively music store with lots of sheet music of all kinds, a large inventory of pianos, guitars, and other instruments, and busy with musicians and students.
Shop was well stocked and clean. Owner’s are very helpful and polite.
Because I went in to have my guitar restrained and I had to deal with some greasy headed want to be rock and roll star
Super nice guys but when I tried to trade my mint esp 1000 deluxe with case and a marshall amp with a footswitch for a $512 takamine acoustic guitar they also told me they wanted 400 bucks. I get they are a business but didn’t know they were trying to straight up butcher me on the trade. On the phone the dude named Mike told Bruce that my ESP is selling for 700. Kinda wrong imo. Nice people though
Went in for an acoustic replacement part and the guy gave me a part for another guitar that was close but not right. Being an instrument shop, the guy should know what works and what doesn’t…or at least what to look for, for compatibility. It’s no big deal that I wasted the time and money…it’s the lack of knowledge from their part. I’m going to measure everything myself and order online, cheaper.
Also, come on, guys, every time I’ve gone in there (over 9 years) it’s always the same…dirty and dusty with a bunch of used unorganized crap everywhere. There are always people just sitting around and talking. I’m all for a cool hang out, but how about getting up off your butts and working your store a little. You have so much room and stuff, clear it out, clean it, and put it back in a better/improved way.
Lastly, your used acoustic guitars are miserable. I understand they’re used…but your prices are high and every guitar I looked at had major issue (cracks in the sound board or missing electronics with gaping holes).
Local shops are being killed by Amazon and the online retailers…you’re not helping to motivate us local musicains to support local shops. You could be the best in Brevard…but you need to do something and better yourselves.
This place is a rip off….cost me 60 dollars to have my 12 string worked on and when I got it home the electronics still didn’t work and when I complained about it all I got was a runaround. They wanted 150 dollars to replace the pre amp in the guitar and I told then no way. I went on ebay and bought the pre amp for $8.83 and it took me about an hour to fix it. Also the brand new strings they charged me for were all corroded. Beware of this place I will never ever do business with them again. Twice they have ripped me off.
14. Balsa Bill Surf Shop
Address: 1773 Florida A1A, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
The best t-shirt you will ever buy is from Balsa Bill.
Cool shop. Not a board shop. Bill’s a great guy.
Cute little shop ! Got two shirts for $50, so not too badly priced.
Not a real surf shop. Just shorts and shirts with a bunch tourist stuff for sale. I didn’t see any surf or body boards for sale.
Unfair pricing. There were two price tags on an item and the cashier wanted to charge me the higher price. I left all of my purchases at the store. Lost my business and anyone who visits me since I am a local.
I stopped in Balsa bills today and was disappointed by my treatment the girl behind the counter never even acknowledged my existence no welcome to Balsa bills no may I help you no anything. I was the only person in the store I looked around for 4 or 5 minutes. The prices aren’t cheap. service is everything. I left and went to Walmart for a sun hat and a pair of baggies.
15. CVS
Address: 1596 Florida A1A, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
I love this pharmacy. The people in the pharmacy are busy most of the time but they do go out of their way to ensure everyone gets the level of customer service they deserve. Do not pay much attention to the negative remarks. Those people don’t have patience and some are a little spoiled in my opinion. I frequent this location and have never witnessed poor customer service.
Many thanks to the Pharmacy, Guillermo and team went the extra mile for me in getting my prescription approved and filled. Their expertise and patience made all the difference in the world!
Katelyn was amazing and super nice! Was able to get what I was needing immediately and was overall a great help and great person to talk to! Highly recommend!
It’s a cvs
CVS is Always clean & organized.
Always get arizona iced tea here, never had a bad experience, but will be docking one point because I applied for a job and didn’t get a call back.
I had a 10am appointment today to get the second Covid shot, which was scheduled 3 weeks ago. After waiting 35 minutes after checking in, the pharmacy manager Guillermo, finally acknowledged my existence. I called hm out asked why he didnt keep the appointment. He said he was interviewing a job candidate. Then he went on to serve a line of customers picking up medication, all of whom arrived AFTER I did. I”m older and handicapped, he obviously figured it was okay to waste my time. Avoid the pharmacy unlike you like being treated disrespectfully!
The Satellite Beach location should not be allowed to call theirselves a Pharmacy. When did it become “ok” in our society to treat CUSTOMERS with such little respect? Am I bothering you? They act as if it takes 24 hours to fill 1 Rx. At least that’s what I was told tonight when I wanted to drop off my prescription and wait on it. Reading all the bad reviews about the pharmacy alone, makes me wonder why a District Manager doesn’t try to correct the problem. Avoid this location at ALL COST, unless you like making multiple trips to the pharmacy.
Worst than a doctors office. Schedule a shot and you will wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment before you’re seen no matter how slow or busy they are.
16. Wholesale Music Instruments
Address: 3000 W New Haven Ave, West Melbourne, FL 32904 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
Bought a turquoise conga set and realized i can learn at home.love my new congas! Great price and owner and staff were great!
The place to buy your musical needs.
They have a great selection and the prices are great!! The service is excellent and they are very knowledgable in every aspect and all the things they sell. All quality merchandise the only place I go the latest in equipment and top of the line.
Live music? Wow
Came looking for a case for an odd-sized guitar, found a live sit-in jam session, how delightful.
Owners were friendly and knowledgeable. My case was out of stock, he was happy to order more in. All in all, a great little shop.
Knowledgeable
Gene and…Kevin? are cool guys. I get a bit of a push-to-sell vibe from Gene, but that’s no surprise. Got to make money to eat and grow the business. Wish they had a proper luthier in-store and maybe a sound test room, but lot of good selection for merchandise.
Buyer beware! Southern charm is lathered on heavy, but is it appropriate to represent used instruments as new? Martin 000 out the door with taxes AND a case (the deal sweetener) for $1395? Seriously? I bought a used J 45 from them 3 years ago when I was young and foolish and ended paying $2000, out the door, taxes and a case (the sweetener) included. Fool me once, shame on me… Buyer beware!
Don’t ever try to trade with them you won’t be happy!
The owner is very disrespectful. Please DO NOT support this business. This store is located in the corner of a PLAZA, meaning that the parking spots located within the plaza is intended for customers of ANY of the businesses located in the plaza. The owner forced me to move my vehicle because he didn’t want me parking in front of his store. There is NO assigned parking in that plaza. I am recovering from a surgery on my wrist so I went to grab a cup of coffee at my favorite coffee shop located right next door after my physical therapy appointment for my wrist so I can relax and work on my laptop. Before I even was able to take a sip of my latte the owner barged in telling me that I needed to move my vehicle away from his store. Driving alone is uncomfortable given my injury so the fact I had to stop what I was doing and move my car to the VERY NEXT parking space was very absurd. Honestly I was on the verge of tears from the commotion he caused. This is not ok, I would never want anyone else to go through that.
17. Atlantic Music Center
Address: 150 East Dr suite c, Melbourne, FL 32904 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
The owner, Brian, is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about pianos. His center’s reconditioning and rebuilding work is top notch. He helped me find the piano that had the right sound and feel for my space and budget. Would 100% recommend anyone purchasing a piano to do so with Atlantic Music.
We love Atlantic Music. We purchased our first piano from them 29 years ago and recently a new grand piano. We have also used them for maintenance and most recently a major restoration after hurricane Irma. They do great work! I Highly recommend them.
Brian, Karolyn, and April were all great to deal with. I was able, with their help, to procure a fine Steinway grand piano at a very reasonable price. And their tenacious delivery crew took “huge steps” to get it safely into the studio. Overall, the best experience imaginable
So I have not bought a piano from this dealer, but I HAVE noticed that in looking at their reviews, every site I look at, share the same reviews, same exact text. It makes the reviews look like they are planted from the business. Where do I go to get a real review of this business?
I end up buying my piano somewhere else because I just couldn’t get straight answers and responses from them.
Today he was also the second time they said they would call me back and didn’t. They’re close enough that I can walk to their store but they don’t seem to respect me so I don’t feel like shopping there.
Took Brian a week to get back to me with 1 sentence that said they were too busy to repair my piano. Happy to look for service elsewhere!
18. Villons
Address: 304 Florida A1A Unit B, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
So happy with this great local coffee truck! The coffee is on point, Christa and Emerald are engaging and cordial and it’s a perfect fit for our local beach community. They are dog friendly and always willing to help out their community. And, what represents Satellite better than the Villon brand. Definitely suggest you make it your coffee place if you’re local and a destination worth visiting if you’re not from the area.
Located in front of Goombays, it’s the perfect local coffee spot to stop at on your way to work or just for a morning pick me up! They have several great coffee options, espresso or regular drip, lattes & mores. Everything is great & super friendly service. Bring your own cup and they have a punch card for loyal customers to get free coffee.
Super friendly baristas came up with a great way for me to avoid single use cups! 10/10
Don’t expect to find a coffee shop. This is a small food truck. Choices are limited and prices are higher than Starbucks. They didn’t even carry Splenda as a sweetener.
Friendly, awesome shop, good prices but the coffee wasn’t the best. It was too sweet for me and I didn’t put any sugar in it. I won’t go back but you might like it. Give them a chance.
Cute Coffee Truck and really nice staff. However I spent $5.25 on not even at 16oz latte that didn’t come with a lid or straw and was packed with ice.
I came in and I wouldn’t recommend their breakfast sandwich. It was hard as a rock as it was microwaved too long, yet the sausage was cold inside. They took 10 min to make my coffee, and someone else took a drink out of it and said “oh that’s not mine”. The barista proceeded to hand me said coffee and my husband said that’s been drank out of. They’re not on the ball.
Very rude staff. Took WAY TOO long to get my order. way over priced. food was awful, hairs in it!!!
19. Tonik’s Lab
Address: 1395B Cypress Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935 , Satellite Beach , Florida , United States
I recently had the pleasure of working with Joel at Toniks Lab for some much-needed maintenance and repair on my Technics SL1210s turntables, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the level of service I received. From the moment I reached out to schedule an appointment, Joel was incredibly responsive and accommodating.
When I brought in my turntables, Joel took the time to carefully inspect every component and explain the issues he discovered in a way that made it easy for me to understand. His depth of knowledge and expertise on the subject was immediately apparent, and it gave me confidence that my turntables were in great hands.
Throughout the repair process, Joel was thorough in his work, leaving no stone unturned. He meticulously cleaned and calibrated every aspect of my turntables, ensuring that they would perform flawlessly. It was evident that he truly cared about not only fixing the existing issues but also making sure they were working optimally.
One of the aspects that impressed me the most was Joel’s friendly and approachable nature. He patiently answered all of my questions and provided valuable advice on maintenance and care routines to maximize the longevity of my turntables. It was evident that he genuinely wanted to educate and empower his customers, which created a positive and enjoyable experience.
After receiving my turntables back from Joel’s expert hands, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. They now perform better than ever before – smooth, accurate, and free from any previous issues. I have no doubt that Joel’s thoroughness and attention to detail will ensure my turntables continue to provide exceptional sound quality for years to come.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Joel at Toniks Lab to anyone in need of turntable repair or maintenance. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly demeanor make him a standout in the industry. I am incredibly grateful for his meticulous work and the positive experience he provided. Thank you, Joel, for your exceptional service!
Was talking to a co-worker about trying to find some Frank Sinatra vinyl albums to give as a gift and he told me about shopping at Tonik’s Lab when he was in Florida visiting. Called them and found that they had a couple records in stock that were of interest. Made the purchase and Tonik’s had the order shipped that same day. I received much quicker than I anticipated in a well packaged/protected carton. The pricing for the albums and the shipping was a good value. Great service from start to finish.
I flew 2,000 miles to visit this record store, I absolutely love Joel and Laura. Excellent customer service and an amazing selection of old school electronic music on vinyl! Everything I’ve purchased has played through flawlessly and I’m pretty sure most of it has never even been played. The record collection is like digging through a classic Florida breakbeats Library. I am SO glad I got to visit and will most certainly be back! I’ve had many orders shipped and they’re always packed very well and arrive in great condition. Love you guys!
I brought 3 technic 1200’s to be serviced. After 2 weeks longer than the time he told me he sent me an invoice double what he quoted me and then after i paid only gave me 2 of the 3 turntables back.
Very crooked business!! I would have made a bigger deal at the time but I was worried that he would damage the equipment that I built my life around.
