For the past few years this store been nothing but good to me! Above all one of there new employees Diamanté! She’s been nothing but incredibly helpful, kind, and in high spirit! I’ll recommend this place to everybody who’s looking for somewhere new and knowledgeable people.
This store is fantastic . I’ve been shopping here many many years and having my repairs done. The store is well lit the staff is friendly and prices are competitive. The guitar tech Mike is a fantastic tech for any fretted or brass instrument his prices are very reasonable and his turnaround is unbelievably fast
Friendly and great customer service!
I didn’t know this store moved down the street until after I pulled on the old locations door. The new location is a lot more organized and welcoming. What isn’t welcoming is the manager.
You will find almost anything you need at this store. What they don’t have they will be able to find the right thing for you. Need a new reed for your sax or strings for a guitar? You found the right place! Do you want to have a friendly conversation with the workers? Look elsewhere!
Spent alot of time in the historic downtown building like a kid in a candy store before he opened the speedway store. Hell my first visit was in 1996 on my way to California. Always stop in on my travels from state to state.
Lots of cool stuff at the downtown location but prices are ridiculous. Apparently, they like to haggle. But personally, I’m not interested in spending 20 minutes haggling just to get them down to what should have been the original list price. To me, jacking up prices and expecting customers to haggle is dishonest and a waste of customers’ time. Perhaps they’ve improved recently but when I took my bass clarinet in to be re-padded and re-corked (standard maintenance) a few years ago it took them 2 months to do it. And it wasn’t cheap, either. Sadly, Beaver’s Band Box has closed and there aren’t many options left in Tucson when it comes to band instrument repair. Nonetheless, I’ll try somewhere else before I go back to Chicago Music Store.
I agree, the service is not good. There is not much in the way of customer service. I never felt welcomed and they have a care-or-less attitude. It felt like I was bothering them. Especially if you need assistance with a low priced item. It’s too bad because when folks feel welcomed they hang around and part with their money. I hear the same thing from everybody. They all love the new store, the new location rocks, everything is organized but no one feels treated good by the staff. They got it all but they just need someone to come in there with some good sales experience and allow them to train and educate the staff. I bet they could double their profit if it was run properly. People should be lined up at the door every morning just to get in there and hang out with the staff. Just my two cents worth 🙂
Just attempted to trade in a guitar. Strange fellow pretended to go on ebay and lied about the going rate for the same guitar by %50. Offered me less than a third of what Guitar Center offered. I spend alot per year on gear and none of it will go to Chicago Music Store. Liked the store on Speedway but they’re the ones who sent me to this swarmy installation.
2. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Brandon in repairs was very personable and down to earth.
He Fixed My P.O.S. Guitar. He Did a Great Job. Fast & Efficient.
I Didn’t Have to Give An Arm or a Leg to Pay For it. Very Reasonable.
I Still Want The Blue Ibanez Hanging on The Wall!. L☺L
vendes burros para
acordeon honner corona II en tono de MI mayor?, y cuanto cuestan?
I have had 3 guitars professionally setup by Brendan December who is a true professional. After having the first guitar done I knew the other one had to be done as well. I just bought a new guitar and within 24 hours dropped it off to Brendan. Highly recommend his work.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
DO NOT shop here, the employees are rude, the owner is rude, their selection sucks, not even half of what they had even a year ago. Quality has gone way down hill. It won’t be long till they’re gone.
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
I have been coming to this music store for years since I was a child. I know that their prices are higher than ordering online, but I’ve still paid their higher prices to support them. Today I came in with a question about how to get a simple cleaning rag, which was stuck, out of an instrument. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude did not answer any of my questions, told me that no one in the entire store had any experience with this sort of question. Sorry to say, but I will not be giving my business to the store any longer. I would recommend milano’s music, or ordering online.
3. The Folk Shop
Address: 2525 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Great prices, great instrument, great people! Absolutely recommend the visit!
Great employees loved the kid helping out there gotta start them early
Great people & amazing selection. They also fixed 2 of my guitars, so skilled Luthier as well.
They repaired my 12 string guitar
Fun music shop with a bunch of oddball (and not so oddball) instruments. Great place to stop in and browse for something unique.
Extremely friendly. Good selection of many types of folk acoustic instruments and they let you play most of them. Somewhat limited array of different brands, thus 4 stars. I’m looking forward to doing more business with them.
I am absolutely incredulous as to how condescendingly I was treated over the phone by this place. I arrived with my Taylor 312-CE looking to trade up and quite likely spend substantial chunk of money. I noticed the posting on the door that read (I may be paraphrasing) “masks required even for those vaccinated.” I have been twice jabbed with Pfizer, but no problem. I get it. I understand it. People may not be fully honest about their status and might contaminate others. I have zero issue complying with the policy The posting also read “do not knock; call to be granted entry” (again, I may be paraphrasing, but this was the gist). I keep a KN-95 with me in the car but couldn’t find it. Maybe it fell behind the seat or something. I ring their number. A woman answers. Convo goes like this: “Hi, I noticed you require masks even for the vaxxed, which I am fully, but I can’t seem to find mine here in my car….I’m here outside….do you happen to have any masks there inside the store that you could pass out to me”? (like logical, sensible merchants across town, the state, the country have in abundance in case you forgot or can’t find yours—sterile ones for the taking in boxes) “If not, I don’t live too far. I can run home, grab one and come back”. The woman on the phone raises her voice and says “NO YOU NEED TO WEAR A MASK” and abruptly hangs up!! Um, I think I got that part and more than amply communicated it back. Wow. And delivered with a tone of voice akin to Mrs. Gulch from Wizard of Oz. I was perfectly polite, acknowledged the policy and was willing to go out of my way to comply. This is not only ridiculously bad policy, but there was not even basic intelligible, lucid communication on her part. Not the conduct of a sound minded individual.
Now, for some background. I have never made any major purchases at Folk Shop. However, I have patronized them over years–even before I moved to Tucson. The first time, I was recording an album visiting from Austin in 2014 and needed a dobro capo. The engineer called around to Guitar Center and few other places. They didn’t even know what a dobro was, much less a dobro capo. Folk Shop to the rescue with a Paul Beard capo, just like the one I had forgotten and left back in TX! I’ve been there since for strings, straps, stainless steel slides etc. Never ever the slightest of problems. What happened today is totally inexcusable. I myself have been fastidious and a stickler about masking and distancing throughout the pandemic, but this kind of post-mandate fanaticism, illogic and outright meanness is beyond the pale. They certainly don’t want my money or any of my future business. To hell with this place. l’ll buy a guitar from Musician’s Friend before stepping foot in there, even though I prefer to shop locally.
Well, over the years I’ve bought, sold, and traded with Paul and really wouldn’t do so again. The last guitar I purchased there had broken tuner barrels and more important, his pricing and moods vary wildly. Certainly lots to look at, but no great shakes in terms of quality or pricing.
Very rude disrespectful because I was asking for a part and I didn’t have a mask and I wasn’t trying to go in the place without permission and they were just very rude very very rude and I didn’t understand I was thrown off by it. Yelling at me for no reason all I wanted was a part I didn’t even try to go into shop told her I’d wait outside because I didn’t have a mask she slams door in my face. So I go get a mask and they won’t even deal with me I was the up most respectful and didn’t deserve that. Very very rude!!! I’ll never do business with them again.
4. Instrumental Music Center Speedway
Address: 7063 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710 , Sells , Arizona , United States
The staff is absolutely fantastic, helpful knowledgeable and more then willing to help.
Thank you IMC for helping my 5th grade son picking out his first band instrument. The staff were all very helpful, patient and knowledgable. They each took turn detailed explaining to my son how to put the instrument together, how to clean it, basic maintenance and then had him try it out. They did not rush him or push him into making a decision. In the end, he decided on a clarinet and left the store a happy boy and ready for band.
Friendly staff, nice environment. 4 stars because they don’t carry enough tuba repertoire.
Good !
Great store. Friendly service.
When I called to ask how much it would cost to replace violin strings, they said it was free and that I would only be charged for the new strings themselves. But when I brought the violins in, they charged me $25 per violin. Then, after a few days of practice on the newly stringed violins, one (of the two) violins irreparably broke at the base where the strings would attach, likely because they had negligently applied too much force in replacing the strings. In all, I paid them almost $100 to ruin one of my violins, which cost me $400 to replace. They are liars and at least when it comes to violins, they are also incompetent.
Not pleased at all. I called ahead to get instruments repaired and was told it would be two weeks. I drove to drop off instruments and asked if I could have them done a few days sooner. I was told the repair person is taking a vacation and it would be 3 weeks. But, if I wanted to pay double, I could have it done sooner. What a scam! I will never do business with this music store.
Had my violin taken in for string and bridge replacement because of old age. When given back they failed to consult if I wanted the gear pegs back on, nor did they fill my request of a new bridge. When taken to a second opinion they stated that the bridge was ready to collapse and was causing issue to the sound post.
5. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Great customer service from Sam Fitch. He took the time to answer all my questions and had the experience to answer them. I will be back.
Good people, good service. Great prices!
The employees there help you right away and are so nice and helpful. They attend you very quickly and always have the thing I need.
Local student place to be. This store is perfect for beginning to immediate band or personal students. Have most common needs for most instruments in the level, as well. Competitive prices, too.
A very good music store even though they didn’t have what I wanted.
Great music store. Some of the employees need to be more informed. I was told some headphones had a longer cord than the others when it didn’t
Terrible service at the store my advice would be to order online, online they are very helpful and courteous, the in store employees are novice at best and the guitar service center is right next to being laughable,I’ve had my guitar in their shop for just a shade under a month for a single pick up replacement and to be re-strung on the so called service plan I regretfully purchased for $170.00,mind you I have spent upwards of 3 grand at this place and I gotta tell ya I’m kinda regretting the choice I made to purchase anything at all from Sam Ash!
1-11-17 so to follow up on my review, when I was finally called to pick my guitar up the manager was called to come and see me,so at that point I knew it was about the review, first of all if wanted to speak to this manager face to face I would have hence the reason I left the review in the first place,so after I clearly stated I had nothing to say to either the manager or the guitar shop guy”Phil”phil then proceeded to let me know his feelings on my review again I am here to pick up my guitar only not to have a confrontation abt a review I left, having said that I do wish to admit a mistake by not excluding Michael the sales manager from my previous review, that guy has always been very helpful and knowledgeable and was going the extra mile to save me a few bucks so I do appreciate that other than that when I asked what could have made my pick up go bad the response from Phil the guitar guy was”it’s coated in epoxy so we’ll never know”.
Set on the phone for 45mins trying to get a human to talk to me! You would think I’m calling to verify my health benefits the way I was placed on hold and passed around?? I was only looking to get a price. In the end they hung up on me. Customer service sucks big time!!!!
Had a. Interview scheduled for yesterday and then again today with the PHX location, for 1pm. They no-call/no-showed. Is this normally how it goes?
6. Jambarrey Music Products LLC
Address: 5007 N Avra Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743 , Sells , Arizona , United States
I had a great experience and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Store is extremely organized and clean; it’s obvious that the staff takes a lot of pride with the business and helping customers satisfy their musical needs! I strongly reccomend anyone that wants to learn to play an instrument (both beginner and advanced levels) to consider Music and Arts, as their teachers are very experienced and patient.
I cannot recommend this store enough!! They supported our displaced music students (ages 15-9 at the time) throughout COVID with Zoom piano and violin lessons from wonderful, professional teachers (Ms Hawthorne and Mr Raiden) who lead them with enthusiasm and positivity, speaking goodness into their lives during a dark and difficult time. One if my children has special needs and this was not even a bump in the road for her teacher, Ms Hawthorne, who brought joy to every lesson! Heaven and the other managers and workers at the store also seemed to work hard to make the process seamless and easy for me, recommending the best teachers for the student as well as organizing times that would fit our schedule. Big plus!! Highly recommended.
My son is taking violin lessons and its helped him alot with his anxiety the teacher he says is very kind an sweet
Just want to say that I am a fan of this store. I think they do a great job at helping people find what they are looking for and have them leaving satisfied with their musical purchases. With that being said, I want to make a point that only having one store closer is unsafe. Multiple times in the past year I have heard of there being theft. I’m concerned for the employees’ safety and customer safety.
Protect your employees! They make the company money!
Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and distance with masks observed! Awesome place to learn music as well as purchase quality music products.
Abit more expensive than the guitar center.
I was very unhappy with the way this store sold us an instrument after we rented one for over two years. We qualified for the rental credit and it was given to us. The problem was that they valued the used rental instrument at $800+ and they sell the same one brand new for about $470. The reason they do that is that there is a clause that states that when using the rental credit one must buy an instrument that cost the same or more than the rental so they jack up the value of the rental. We were told that we couldn’t buy the flute we had been renting and could not get a new flute because it wasn’t equal or more value to the one we had been renting per terms of our agreement. They said that our only option was to purchase a used refurbished flute from the warehouse and it would be sent to us. We feel that this is a very shady way to do business. Not recommended. Updated; Thank you for your reply too, owner of the store. I have already sent an email but thanks for suggesting it.
I used to be loyal customer for years. Howerver, M&A’s new strategy of “Paperless receipts”, requires that I provide my email address for a purchase. Their “paperless reciept” excuse is nothing more than a strategic excuse to obtain email addresses so they can spam. When I stated I do not provide my email, they refused to sell me a service. I have since found a local music store that is more friendly and will no longer use M&A.
The worst place ever.. Always pay my rental before its do and yet still get notices in the mail saying not paid.. They never get the billing correct.. I even got a collection letter 2 months after I even returned the instrument in and have proof of paid in full yet they say it was a computer problem.. This place sucks.. Never doing business with them again..
8. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Milano’s os full service. Lots of variety of instruments and a large professional service and repair department. They adjusted the fret board on my guitar and installed new strings. Great service!
Best music store – huge, has everything, knowledgeable and helpful staff
Always love coming here. Lots of music related things for any sort of musician. Whether you’re an aspiring dj, just beginning your journey into the musical world, or updating your arsenal of percussive weaponry this is the place for you.
Milano music is always ready to sell or repair, and visiting has been a pleasant experience for me.
Great school rentals
Needed a quick item, walked in, asked for help and was out the door with what I needed in less than 10 minutes – farther than my closest music store, but definitely my preference to drive and get what I need!
The cost to rent a clarinet was $200 for the school year. You can buy one NEW on Amazon for $100. I brought the instrument back 1 hour after rental and they still charged me for the month. Used to hear great things about this place.
You and your wife are disparaging people, I can’t believe I listened to you story about your decision to make he you wife after a surfing trip. Man, I was right to think you would operate in bad faith
Hello. My wife an I went to this store yesterday. We were planning to buy a nice ukulele for my niece and a starter guitar for another niece. We were also shopping in the high end guitar room for options for me for Christmas. When trying to leave the guitar room, we found someone had chained and locked the door from the outside. There were people, including Milano Music staff, outside giggling like children. It seemed we may have even been locked in by the staff. We put our planned purchases back and walked out. In the past few years, I have bought a higher end Taylor and a nice ukulele from Milano Music. We will no longer be shopping there. Milano Music I suggest you tell your staff to grow up. The next customer may report such an incident to the fire Marshall.
9. Guitar Center
Address: 8538 S Emerald Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Met a cool guitar tech whom took great care to help with the necessary TLC my LP required..
At 53 finally paying attention to that constant little whisper to “Get a Real Guitar and Learn to Play One!” To my delight, Shane came through with THE most AMAZING customer service experience EVER!! Never bought a new guitar in my life! Of course, the case to cradle my passion is sturdy and Very affordable. Why I love Guitar Center? They are truly wonderful people (INCLUDING management ) who care at the VERY core.
Great selection, friendly staff. Multiple instruments to test out. My son loves browsing and testing.
nice place. staff was rude. wouldn’t buy my guitar. pretty much made me feel like white trash with beautiful black guitar ….. which sold rather quickly online……
Pretty helpful team. Although, there were kids running around and the staff didn’t intervene.
Very approachable and knowledgeable staff. Have had problems with getting my products and repaired guitars, however the finished product is always on par and exceptionally well finished.
Good place to check gear out; except for the teenagers trying to play their version of Metallica riffs at annoying volumes.
The staff appear to be either too busy (e.g., one person knows what they are doing and becomes swamped helping customers out) or they have no knowledge or interest around the gear they are selling.
As an example. The drum room is a mess with broken gear and trashed sticks thrown about. When looking for a sales person to help out with a potential sale, could not find a soul to assist me. They need a drum tech here to support them or a least someone who cares. I would not buy gear at this location do to the general lack of staff support.
Better of going to other Phoenix locations with better and more knowledgeable staff as well as better organization.
Absolutely terrible customer service. They just don’t stock anything for drummers anymore. Can’t wait for This company to file chapter 7.
First time in this location and was disappointed to see how small it was compared to the other Tempe location before relocating. Bass and amp selection very small, no one greeted me, I just felt out of place. When I played years ago, I lived at the older Tempe location practically and I was greeted Everytime whether a new employee or seasoned. Just disappointed is the best way I can put it. It’s time for me to upgrade my gear as I’m looking to finally playing again but I don’t know where to go anymore
10. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Extremely friendly, family-owned, and expert service. My go-to place for all my guitar needs.
Awesome service! My bass feels and sounds amazing now. Definitely my go to guitar shop from now on.
Super helpful & the worker helping me was very nice & knew what he was talking about! Haven’t been here in years but came back & it was a very pleasant experience!
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!
-Ice Spice 687:927
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
Sold my 6 month old Guild OM240 cuz I was struggling financially. I paid $425 for it at Bizarre Guitar. Owner tells me there’s major work needing to be done cuz wood was dry and neck was tweaked. He said he’d hafta put in humidifier for couple weeks and he MIGHT be able to repair. He offered me $150. I had to plead with him to give me $160…The very next day he listed it on Offer up for $375. Call it smart business. Call it shrewdness.
I call it dishonesty. Only Guild I could ever afford and I’m humiliated. Regret going here.
I had heard so many good things about this place from other musicians, so my S/O and I decided to try it out. We needed our guitars set up, mine electric, hers acoustic. When we brought the guitars in, we were given a sort of turned up nose treatment when we revealed our guitars. Mine a Purple Paul Reed Smith Custom 24, and hers an older blue Ibanez acoustic. Granted our guitars weren’t the most expensive, but we both loved them dearly (Mine was an anniversary present from her, and hers was her first guitar ever). I explained to the gentleman behind the counter what was going on with my guitar (Dead fret on the high E, also needing a full set up, action lowered, set up with 10’s.). My S/O explained that hers needed a set up as well. We handed over our guitars, and left with confidence.
A few days later we picked our guitars up, and went home to check them out. It. Was. Terrible. They raised the action on my PRS so high that it was almost unplayable, and the gentleman who did the set up said that he did so to get rid of the aforementioned dead fret, even though I gave express permission to do whatever was necessary to solve the issue while keeping the action LOW. That could have meant a level, crown, polish, replacement etc. Anything to keep the action low. My girlfriends acoustic buzzed so terribly on every single fret on the top three strings after we took it in, she has resorted to buying a brand new acoustic, because this place left hers unplayable. Now most people might say ”well if they messed up, take it back and have them fix it” but believe me when I say that when we saw the condition of our instruments, I would NEVER trust them in the hands of this place again. I really wanted to like this place, but after the treatment we and our instruments received, we’ll go elsewhere. Please stay away for your own good.
I went here to have a new nut out on an old guitar of mine. The nut is cut too short making the strings buzz. Now I am left fixing it myself which sucks since I paid almost $60 to have it fixed.
11. Ziggie’s Music
Address: 3309 N 3rd St Ac, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Had my Fender P-Bass set up there and the result was outstanding. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the lessons there are great.
Great advice and direction for artists starting out.
me podrias decir si tienes los burros o boces para un honner corona II de mi mayor? y cuanto cuestan?
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Very helpful the information what’s good
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
12. Tucson Music Co/Business Music
Address: 1019 S Euclid Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Sells , Arizona , United States
Mark was outstanding in helping us find a baritone saxophone for my son and giving us a great deal. My son was so happy, it sure made his year. We recommend Mark and the Chicago Music store and will definitely be dealing with them in the future, especially since my daughter is a few years behind my son. They provide great support to schools and all the band kids out there.
Great Store!
The employees are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. In addition, there are teachers available for various music lessons.
Pretty good selection of instruments other than no ovation guitars. Didn’t have the product I was looking for and the desk manager is very pushy about selling. Other than those, decent store.
Everyone was nice wish they would have returned the product I purchased tho.
Helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the product and give you space to look around.
Worst Music Store in Tucson. Don’t ever buy from them.
Was doing rent to buy they gave me a broken instrument that didn’t work then I took it back the next day they accused me of breaking it then made me pay a hundred and fifty dollars to fix it even though I didn’t break it
The guitar technician is one of the worst I’ve encountered in the many years I’ve been playing guitar. He was VERY rough with a 1300 dollar guitar. In his haste and carelessness he damaged a flamed maple top. He shrugged his shoulders and said, “that is what happens when you work on a guitar”. I can’t imagine the damage he creates behind customer’s backs. His methods of examination and his repair knowledge was at a staggering incompetent level. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this technician. Don’t know his name. Just best to stay clear from any tech from the store on speedway.
14. Central Music
Address: 5038 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Sells , Arizona , United States
The guys was friendly, and very helpful. We took my grandsons trumpet in to get repaired and they cleaned it up, showed us how to do all the necessary things to keep it clean and oiled.
High quality service, locally owned music shop.
Juss trying to find someplace to stay outta trouble and being yelled at by my parents for dum chit =^__^=
Nice local music shop with the supplies musicians need at reasonable prices. One important thing- they have a NO RETURNS policy. If you buy it, make sure it’s what you need! Parking’s a little tight, so maybe go early or late. Oh, and there’s a nice sandwich shop and a Dairy Queen next door!
Nice store. Mostly literature, less instruments, but good selection of accessories. Will definately be back for more!
Great selection of sheet music
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said “rubber boot has breaks” or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wife’s funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wife’s passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because that’s not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
15. Music & Arts
Address: 7040 E Hampton Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209 , Sells , Arizona , United States
One of my children wanted to start playing the Viola.
They helped every step of the way!
Super friendly staff every day we come for lessons.
I highly recommend this place.
I have rented multiple instruments of good quality and price. The people are also super nice and friendly!
Great place. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Experienced and skilled instructors.
Great place to purchase or repair an instrument. Alwayd friendly and provides suggestions based on cost for anything the sale or service. Strongly recommend Music and Arts.
They were kind enough to let us jam on their amp and electric guitar
Staff is very helpful and experienced!
NEGATIVE STARS IS MORE LIKE IT!!! I have had the WORST experience dealing with the customer service from Music and Arts. Everytime me or my husband try to call and resolve our bill we get told a different story! NOONE has helped us resolve the issue and it’s been over 4 months now. The amount of money I have paid Music and Arts already, I could have boughten an instrument. NOT worth the hassel and absolute HORRIBLE customer service!!! Save your money and time and go somewhere else!!
Spent my money elsewhere because of the masks requirement.
Went to the Music and Arts store today to purchase drumsticks and lessons. Couldn’t use my Canadian Credit card or American cash? Very disappointed
16. Rainbow Guitars
Address: 2550 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Sells , Arizona , United States
It’s an actual guitar shop, with people working there that actually play guitar. Not like other places that say “hey, if you can sell used cars, you can sell guitars!” An employee of a different “guitar place” here in Tucson did not know who/what ESP was. They asked me “Is ESP like…. A brand?”
This is the place to go for quality and knowledgeable information.
The only place I will buy from in Tucson, from now on. Very happy!
Cool little place! First time there and i was impressed. Prices are about the same as guitar center. Employees were great, greeted right away and all my questions were answered in detail.
Good place for guitars!
Great guitars. Terrible sales staff. I have never seen people that thought they were so cool. No one said hello even after 1/2 an hour of trying different guitars. They could have sold me one today if they tried at all.
Drum department sales person sucks. He was outside in the parking lot smoking when I pulled in. No big deal. He didn’t know I was there for his department. Took him about 5 mins. to come in. Again no big deal. When he came in l said hi and he never acknowledged me. Keep in mind I’m the only customer in his department. He sat behind the computer the whole time I’m there. I had to dig out a cajon I was interested in. I sat there and played it for a few minutes. You would think he’d ask if I needed any help or had any questions. Another customer came in and he acknowledged her and took care of her. Again no big deal, but the whole time I was there not once was I was approached. I finally got fed up, left and went to Guitar Center. Spent the $500.00 I had in my pocket for a cajon and carrying case.
Amazing selection but only appointment only, even if there’s no one in the store they won’t let you in without one. Must be a cool place
Bought a Collings 470 JL and paid over 7 grand for it. When I called to complain about FedExs delay, I spoke with Vic who was very dismissive, rude, and unsympathetic. He basically told me there was nothing he could do and then hung up on me. Lesson learned, do not buy from these people, they do not care about their customers. Very unprofessional!

Phil’s awesome! Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He exceeded my expectations with the work on my guitar and was able to have it ready way faster than the time quoted. I’m very happy with how it looks and plays! Thank you, Phil!
Professional! Efficient! All experience are wonderful
I have purchased several high end guitars from Acoustic Vibes over the past 5 years, since living in Arizona. Not only do they have phenomenal stock (even right now while stock is limited), but their staff is super helpful. They answered all my questions, played a few guitars for me so I could hear how the guitar sounded from the listener’s perspective, and let me hang around as long as I want playing these magnificent guitars. They are also the only ones I trust to service and repair my guitars. I live in Northern Arizona and drive 2 hours each way several times a year to play my way through their inventory.
I highly recommend Acoustic Vibes.
Best acoustic guitar selection I’ve seen
Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!
Nice acoustic design,
all acoustic guitars top shelf brands.
Very unfortunate visit, coming in to try out and buy a steel string guitar. We were greeted with passive aggressiveness and a magazine thrown across the main entrance before entering the guitar room from the shop keeper, young guy. incredibly rude and 0 customer service.
Made the whole stay unpleasant.

Good selection, but weird atmosphere and left me feeling unwelcome. One might think such a ‘high’ tier guitar store would offer a ‘high’ tier experience, but that wasn’t the case for me. When I first entered the building I was met by a few older customers and employees and got nothing but a sour face by everyone just by opening the door, no greeting, nothing- super awkward, everybody literally stopped talking to look at me with an irritated look, as if I had interrupted something. I then had to excuse myself past the small gathering of what looked like employees talking to customers that wouldn’t move just to get to the first guitar room. I then was greeted by a salesman who instead of letting me tell him what I’m looking for, proceeds to go into a shpeel on all the different Martin models, basically making me interrupt him to tell what I’m looking for. The salesman also told me HD28s don’t come with dot inlays yet here I am looking at older models with them all over the internet. There was nobody else browsing the store in the guitar sections. I was then told I could play guitars, but the adjacent rooms are used for things like Banjo, which made it so I couldn’t even hear the guitars I was trying to play because somebody was in there clawing away. I really don’t think I’ll be visiting again, regardless of the selection. I’ll spend thousands of dollars somewhere else that takes every customer seriously. I went to Milano music right after and was treated respectfully and seriously without hesitation, and I didn’t need to schedule a high-pressure sales pitch and waste an hour of my time.

If you need music gear this is a cool shop. Independently owned. If you don’t really need any gear (like me presently) it’s always fun to stop in and see what they have .
Great inventory with some really good prices.
Really love this fellows guitar reviews. Neat fellow.
Nice guy. Mostly cheapo brands. Lots of pedals. Guys deals in used gear. I have found a few cool items there. But you need to stop in every week or two as inventory changes.
Fun, friendly guitar shop.
Excellent small guitar shop one of the best on town
Heard good things about them, but don’t advertise that you are open hours that you are not open, maybe I’ll change my rating for it when I go in there and they’re actually open when they say they are
Showed up right after 5:30pm and they were closed. Hours say open until 6pm.

This place is wonderful great local business! We really need to be supporting each other right now in these uncertain times. They are always so lovely when my partner and I come here, my partner his name is Noah, he has been a drummer for the past 18 years and is now wanting to try guitar. Noah went into the store all nervous unsure about what he wanted, worried about spending too much money and also unfortunately a little bit frustrated frustrated because he just wanted a guitar to play, he only ever gets holidays off, it was Easter, bwe had been to three other guitar stores that day, he was losing his mind just a wee bit and this wonderfully kind employee was patient he really tried to answer noahs’s questions, hear Noah’s concerns. For me the Hallmark of a good business is to bestow the confidence you have in yourself in your product into your customers, Noah came out of the store with this beautiful guitar and the confidence that he made the right choice for his situation and he would not have been able to do that without the help of the patient staff here at Boogie Music. Forever grateful for you guys
I have been working with Boogie Music/Drum Alley for 6 years now. They have tremendous support for musicians and educators in the Valley who have reasonable expectations of prices and services. They have in many cases gone out of their way to help me get the job done for my program. They will special order anything you ask for. Their rental instruments are in good repair and tend to be better then I can afford to provide students when compared to school instruments. Their luthier (string repair technician) completely rebuilt one of my orchestra basses to better than it’s previous playing condition. I highly recommend this shop for anyone.
They have a nice selection for a small place. Fair prices too!
They will not sell you small pieces for bass instruments (i.e. springs, valve corks, or other small parts) instead they insist on bringing the instrument to their repair shop (not really expensive to do either) but if you are a person like me who needs their instrument on the daily it would be more time efficient to just buy the piece and fix it my self.
I just want to give smaller independent shops my business but selection is rather limited here. When I inquired about an item, they actually looked it up on the Sam Ash website and advised they can order it but 1) I’d have to wait until they do their next order, 2) it would cost more than at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and Amazon and 3) I’d have to pay for shipping. Seriously, if that’s the way you can give me something you don’t have you’ve just GOT to know that’s a crappy deal for me. Just tell me to buy it elsewhere and that you hope you can help me with something else. They can’t seriously expect me to find that even remotely okay can they?
Was treated very rudely by the owner. Went there to try to sell them a guitar and he looked at my guitar and very rudely in my opinion said he wasn’t interested at all then I continue to look around the store for a little bit with some friends. I saw a stand up bass which I wanted to play in the Jazz way there was no sign or anything mentioning that this was not theirs and that this was someone’s that was there for repair. I started to play on it after moving it from where it was and the owner came back and said something to the effect of that’s not ours man that’s here for repair or something else similar. He did not at all say excuse me but that’s not our instrument can you please put it back in like a nice calm manner he said it in a way that I took very rudely and that you’ve been my friends which was 3 agreed was very rude. On top of that I feel like although the store is kind of cool because it does have some older vintage instruments from the early 20th century I just personally think that I Won’t Go Back unless that is my only option. Not everyone probably gets rude customer service but I definitely did.
I agree with Reyna’s post. I received similar treatment when searching for a trombone for my son. The owner was condescending and rude. It felt like he did not want our business. I asked to see the instruments he had available for sale. His response was that the instruments were well into the thousands and that he recommended a rental. We asked to see the rentals and said he only had one to choose from. I asked if we could pull the trombone out of the case and he said absolutely not. He said we had to sign the contract before we could handle the instrument. I dont understand how we would be expected to buy an instrument without even touching it. I thanked the man for his time and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
