The top piano specialist and restorer on the west coast how it is only known in top circles and even lost to Google is just class warfare and unfair 4+ generations of piano building and restorations!
Mike is a third generation piano tech does very good work repairing rebuilding of pianos he is great with old player pianos he did a great job on my 9′ Baldwin
great guy. full of knowledge
Mike is a nice guy he knows a lot about pianos he can get your piano fixed it just takes a little time
Everything has been moved except the signs that tell you where things are. It was confusing for everyone including staff
Unfortunately did not have a good experience trying to book. Used the online booking service, was called and told my time slot was not available, so rescheduled it for 10am. Received an email at 10:08am saying he wasn’t going to make it and could I do the afternoon. Ok, frustrating but sure. He said he would come at “2 ish.” Got another email at 3:14pm saying he was sorry but couldn’t make it and would be out of town for a while. Emailed him again a week later to ask when he is available, no response. I would have appreciated a call when he was running late, or preferably for him to straight up say at the beginning that he was booked & would need to do a different day, so I wasn’t sitting at home all day.
2. McDonald’s
Address: 1695 Cascade Blvd, Shasta Lake, CA 96079 , Shasta Lake , California , United States
Out of the majority of golden arches the crew here keeps the vibe calm and enjoyable which is something in today’s covid crazed world
They did their job.
Very slow service
1 thing I really don’t like is, soon we will have to use the computer screen to order.
French fries was hot and yummy….
Don’t eat any fast food… it’s killing us and not even real
So slow the workers are rude and the burgers all 3 where cold my kids where beyond sad
This was the least clean McDonald’s I have ever been to. The men’s restroom was dirty and the soap dispenser didn’t work. There was chocolate syrup spilled right in front of the cashiers in multiple places. And the parking lot had so much litter spread throughout it. Additionally I didn’t like how the cash register person was singing without their mask on. Eventually the person put on their mask but I was quite disappointed with this particular franchise.
3. Music Connection
Address: 3086 Bechelli Ln, Redding, CA 96002 , Shasta Lake , California , United States
Great experience and excellent service. Well done, I will return….
very nice people and good selection
Good selection of guitars and friendly staff.
A very friendly place!
Great store . good selection . fair prices .
Friendly staff. Would like more varied stock
Customer service is essential to me. I expect friendly staff that listen to me and try to help me. This is not that store. With unimpressive prices and staff, they convinced me not to go back.
Classical guitar strings are not sold here.
Sheet music: nearly all piano method books.
Wow how overpriced can you get? My wife bought me a used guitar here. The salesmen definitely took advantage of her lack of knowledge…
4. Heritage Coffeehouse in Shasta Lake
Address: 4302 Shasta Dam Blvd, Shasta Lake, CA 96019 , Shasta Lake , California , United States
Atmosphere is calming, coffee is good. Service was great, nicest place in Shasta Lake
I had a bridal shower upstairs here and it was amazing. My sister decorated and even brought her own chair. I’m not sure the cost but there was coffee included in it.
Give it 10 Stars! From sumptuous salads and divine drinks to delightful personnel, this is a must visit and return venue!
Great coffee, cool interior. A bit pricey
Thank you for the welcome back to CA after 25 years! You would be lovingly compassionate to offer vegan cheeses/hummus/Just Egg. Meanwhile, the avocado toast with banana substitute for animal cheese and the fair trade brews with plant milk are gracious, nutritious, smooth and delicious. To joyful health for all that it may bring rain!
Great little spot for coffee. The people here are super nice and friendly.
Great place but poor customer service. I was served a luke warm coffee – I took it back to the counter and the barista said she could not do anything about that !
Closed at 11:30 AM on Wednesday
We’ve always loved Heritage Coffee, cute ambiance and great coffee, but I just ordered 2 coffees and the total came to just over $20. I have never, ever heard of a $10 coffee. It is in a mug that wasn’t even filled to the top…and it was $10 They claim they had to raise their prices due to inflation, but I go to coffee shops frequently and this is by far the most I’ve ever paid In my life. I’ve literally had a cup of Kopi luwak, known to be the most expensive coffee in the world, for less. This isn’t the staffs fault…. That being said, I really hope management realizes charging 10 dollars isn’t justifiable. Much love to Heritage Coffee Shop, but needs to be better for the coffee community. Won’t be going back, sadly.
This a great place. I’ve been dealing with Tom Dodson for 25+ years as a school music teacher. I’m now retired and I like this place that I still enjoy coming here. I now teach music lessons here because Tom is knowledgeable, has very good prices, and services all of his customers.
Tom is so helpful and fair. My son plays several different instruments, Tom will help with any problems, solid advice about the value of his different instruments and use and care. I’ve bought a couple from him, backs up with repair and service for a year. You can tell he genuinely cares about the music.
A good place for instrument repair.
A small music shop with a very knowledgeable owner. Pricing is fair. If it were in a better location, 5 stars.
They closed 5minutes early so I wasn’t able to get inside.
Very rude and does not support the military. My friend served in the Navy for 22 years and all he did was ask do you offer military discounts and the guy was super rude. Said everybody gets a discount. Doesn’t matter if you’re in the military. And it was the way he said it was so disrespectful. A Simple no would have been great. Most places offer one so he asked. Then treated him like dirt after that.
I was totally ignored. People were in the building and I heard someone working behind the counter but I couldn’t see them. I rang the bell several times and even called out but I was completely ignored. I had money in my pocket ready to buy and left with nothing.

8. Goddard Music
Address: 1161 Hilltop Dr, Redding, CA 96003 , Shasta Lake , California , United States
Roman and his team are very accommodating and he is a patient instructor for beginners on drums and trumpet. They went out of their way to find an instrument to practice on and encouraged, corrected in a productive way. Thank you!
Roman has been teaching my 9 year old daughter ukulele for a few months and she’s really learned a lot in that time. He is very professional and has a good energy about him. We’ve had a great experience so far.
Student (Lily): I love my lessons. It’s so amazing because I learn so fast because he is such a good teacher. And I love that sometimes I can stay a little longer to play with the dogs!
Student’s mom: We were gifted our first few lessons and Lily and I have both enjoyed it so much that we are continuing. I have been really impressed with how attentive Roman is. He is an absolute natural with kids and very patient and enthusiastic. It’s awesome to see how engaged Lily is, he seems like a really great teacher.
