Friendly staff, great music, and good food options to pick from
Vegetarian options: Offers different veggie sandwiches and alternative milk substitutions
Kid-friendliness: Has a kids kitchen play area.
They have the most amazing sausage, egg, and cheese croissant! I love their fall flavors. The staff is friendly and the space is nice
What a cool and unique shop. Love being able to get a breakfast sandwich at noon!
Need to work on customer service. If there are NO people in line and someone ordering has a SHORT conversation with cashier the customer should not get told by another employee ” you need to go ahead and order instead of talking” Part of the appeal of an intimate coffee shop setting is conversing with others, networking, etc. We would love to see this business thrive however I’m afraid it won’t with this approach
The food was amazing, the atmosphere is great for coffee, meetings, or simply to work. Great place and a great location. Thank you for going out of your way, your staff is awesome and very helpful.
I visited the store in Hwy 278, Covington GA, to pick up my online order, the Veggie Crunch Wrap. The staff was courteous and friendly. My food was ready at the time promised. Although the Wrap was okay and satisfying, I was really disappointed that I could not get nutritional facts or even a calorie count for it. Otherwise I would have given them a 4.5. I called 3 locations for this information and was told they don’t carry that info for their foods!
I’m usually not one to complain about food because at least I’m eating. If you get one thing wrong that’s fine, but they managed to get my coffee order wrong twice, give me the wrong wrap, forget about my moms pastry, and my sisters cookie. Paige was very helpful though, she brought my food out and was extremely kind about everything. The girl at the register rung everything up wrong and Paige came to fix it. The girl who rung us up was on her phone and talking to other employees, which is fine after I have my food, but she didn’t bring it out.
Visited this restaurant on 7/25 at 730 am. Ordered a bun and went I got to the office to eat it I was shocked. It was as big as a silver dollar and gone in 2 bites. Called and explained that afternoon and she offered me a free one the next am. Tried to get it this am and was told to get in line she had other customers. Wow. Won’t go back. U can have ur free bun. What a waste of time and money
I wish I could rate this 0 stars. Don’t come here. The customer service is awful, they were talking instead of taking my order. The coffee was cold and the barista making it you could tell was not trained well. The food is not good either. I’m very disappointed because all I hear were good reviews but it did not live up to it.
4. Dollar General
Address: 58 State Hwy 11, Social Circle, GA 30025 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Robert was amazing, polite, and helpful. One of the nicest Dollar Generals in the area if not the nicest. Extremely clean and organized. The service was quick and efficient. Everyone was so nice and helpful! Perfect place to stop for a quick snack or a cart full of groceries!!
This is my DG store, I shope here daily for everything! I save so much more shopping here than Walmart or anywhere else! The employees are awesome, very nice always helpful and the manager is the BEST there is, she always makes sure to take care of any problem, return etc that I have! She really is the Best there is! If u want a wonderful experience every single time then shop at this DG!
Love it you should try it. You would love it too.
The store always seems to be understocked and messy. It is convenient for me but I wish management took more pride in having a presentable store.
Friendly employees
Love this location
Dirty isles cluttered with rolling bins of merchandise and cashiers unfriendly and slow with an attitude of don’t care about this job or the customers. Very sad and disappointed
The female employees have a hard time doing there jobs, especially when men are around, other than that the store is clean.
This store was really disorganized. Nothing was where it was supposed to be and store employees were very rude and not helpful
Super friendly, helpful staff. Wide array of equipment. Something here for everyone. Worth visiting often, as the inventory changes frequently.
I’ve been coming here for years and I’m about to move back to SC. I had to get rid of some old bass amps because I don’t use them anymore and I was expecting to get only 20$ but they gave me 70$ for some beat up amps. Paul Simpson the floor manager was amazing had a fantastic attitude and made me feel at right home. Music Go arounds selection is amazing always has some custom Gibsons and schecters. I also got my mike setup over there for less than 150$. Best music store in GA in my opinion they really care about their customers.
I would have rated five, but they aren’t buying passive speakers, and I have some to sell
Dope music spot for musicians to window shop. Lmbo.. extremely pricey for donated music equipment. Come on guys give our pockets a little break. But great selection tho! Have visited 3 times but purchased else where. Lol.
Cool store , chilled out , laid back & greasy
Absolutely abysmal and highly unprofessional experience trying to buy an instrument here. I found an instrument I wanted on the store’s website, and I called immediately to enquire as to its availability. Being told it was still available, I asked if it was possible to hold it for a student of mine who would purchase it pending me as his teacher trying it out. I was told they could purchase it and have it held until I could try it.
The day I had planned to come to the store, I called to inform them of the time of my arrival. They said they could not find the instrument and said it might have been sold, only to later discover that someone had put the instrument in an area where it would be later sent to a repair shop prior to shipping to my student. Fair enough, I guess people make mistakes. I arrived at the store and confirmed that the instrument was in good condition and acceptable for my student. The instrument was slated to be sent out for minor repairs before being shipped to my student prior to the beginning of school starting this past week.
This week, when my student called to ask when the instrument was estimated to arrive, they told them that they had indeed then accidentally put the instrument back on the shelf and sold it to a secondary party, even though my student had already purchased the instrument. Incredible.
I have never witnessed such ineptitude at any store in my entire life. This is unacceptable, and the best I got from anyone over the course of this entire experience was a shrug of the shoulders.
AVOID THIS PLACE.
Cool if you’re looking for music gear but terrible place to sell, all these guys do is low ball you and try to make as much profit on your gear as possible. Would give a better review if your employees weren’t so stuck up. They’ll be happy to take your money though anytime.
Came in an hour before close to sell some gear. A couple of things:
1. Staff/atmosphere: The staff wasn’t very welcoming and made their annoyance known about me trying to get an appraisal an hour before close.
2. Accessibility: all the amps were disconnected, making it inaccessible to try out guitars.
3. Prices/trade-in value: They have a USA-made vintage guitar listed for $599. They barely offered me $200 for an almost identical guitar (same year, same condition) and claimed that “$200 is what they go for.”
Only reason I’m rating two stars instead of one is because they do have a good variety of instruments.
8. Southern Music Company
Address: 1102 16th Ave E, Cordele, GA 31015 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Best place in South GA, they did some repairs on my grandfather’s 1980 ibenez guitar and just all round great job, best people to do business with when it comes to guitars and other musical needs
Been a customer for 15 yrs. They helped me choose the perfect amp. Definitely recommend to everyone.
Hey guys it’s always a great pleasure working with you. Thanks
Cool
This is a nice locally owned music store. Very good selection of guitars and other musical instruments. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by and support a small business!
9. Pianos In Tune, LLC
Address: 165 Sweetwater, Social Circle, GA 30025 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Rick is an excellent and personable guy to work with. He does very good work, shares his knowledge and gives honest and great advice. He’s definitely someone you want to have working on your piano—cannot go wrong!
I have known Rick Bazemore for 20+ years. His years in excellent local church music ministry leadership, caring for people, and leading people to grow through music ministry continues to show through his careful attention to all aspects of his work as a Piano Tuner Technician. He is the epitome of professionalism. I know this first-hand because he has tuned my church’s pianos and my home piano for many years. His professionalism shows through his careful attention to scheduling, his promptness, and his personable nature as he shows up for the job. His tuning is careful but efficient. He regularly participates in continuing education opportunities to keep his skills sharp and up-to-date. I am glad to recommend Rick with absolutely no reservations.
Rick has been tuning my piano in Atlanta for years and is a treasure! I appreciate him traveling to cover me and have also sent him to service my sister’s piano and my father’s Monroe antique family heirloom. He is excellent and entirely professional, reliable, responsive, and very
knowledgeable. I trust him to the point that I even hide a key for him if I won’t be home. Can’t recommend him highly enough!
10. Sound Associates Music Ltd
Address: 225 N Perry St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
You could see his love for music and helping children.
GREAT Store with old school services !! The best musical store in the State of Georgia !! Has everything you need plus valuable music information and knowledge !!
Nice people, great prices for repairs.
Picked up a 1/16 violin while looking at all of the incredible finds. It might be a bit cramped but if you find what you have been looking for, it is worth it.
Genial
Good… vintage store
Store to small for so much stuff in it
Very crowded and when I went there the person working went to go talk to another customer and forgot about us.
11. Music Authority Inc
Address: 123 Merchants Square, Cumming, GA 30040 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
My son is taking drum lessons at this place. He is into Rock ensemble too. He loves going there. Instructors over at this place are amazing. He is one of the youngest one in the band, I was nervous on the first day he got into rock ensemble, but the instructor and the students were so helpful. I am so thankful for the entire team for helping my son get on to that stage without any fear or shyness.
These guys are awesome, best guitar shop in north Georgia. I would go as far as to say that I will only be shopping for my music gear from now on. Polite people, great service, lessons are great and everybody is extremely informative.
Decent guitar options and knowledgeable staff.
My 10 yr old daughter and I take piano lessons at Music Authority. Our instructor, Brooke, along with a lot of practice, has taken us from zero musical experience to reading and playing the piano in a few short months.
We enjoy the lessons each week and we learn something at each one. Our instructor is a gifted teacher. She changes up the lesson plans so throughout our lsns, and at home practice, we learn music theory, practice skills exercises, and learn songs. It pushes us to go further but doesn’t overwhelm.
If your looking to learn an instrument or two, this is a good place to start. Music camps and performances are offered as well. You can get as involved as you want.
Went in for a purchase. Didn’t end up buying, but one of the owners assisted me and had a lot of knowledge to offer. People came in and out for lessons and they were all treated very well… you can see the passion. The store could use a bit of updating, which is the primary reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
I was referred to Music Authority after moving to the area and wanting to continue with my music lessons. I was a little skeptical when I arrived as I’m used to larger big box music stores like Sam Ash and Guitar Center. 2 years later I’m still a happy customer. They have great instructors all with degrees in music and actively play in places of worship and/or gig professionally which was important to me. The staff is courteous and helpful and keeps me informed on what’s happening. They do have a retail merchandise space in the front of the store that offers what I’d call a light to medium selection of quality guitars, amps, drums and equipment/accessories (NOTE: no DJ/lighting equipment, keyboards, recording or HS band equipment here). It’s very convenient after a lesson to shop and pick up those must haves. I’ve bought many things including a guitar that I’m very happy with. They’re knowledgeable, stand by their merchandise and even offer special incentives that the larger stores don’t. They have a repair and service shop that I’ve yet to use but would if needed. Don’t let me forget all the things this place does for young musicians like summer rock camps, concerts, jam nights, open mic nights and more. I wish I had access to a music organization like this one when I was a kid… I’d be a better musician today if I did. Yes, I recommend this place.
I bought a Taylor from Music Authority last year and was told I would enjoy life string replacement and neck adjustments (in return for my business). I called today to inquire when the service would be next offered, it was co-sponsored by Taylor Guitars, and was told “sorry, that’s been discontinued”. Discontinued!! I received 1 set of strings, that does not sound like a lifetime benefit to me?! Then I was told that if I had a 3 series or above they would change the strings if I bought them, while not perfect, I would have considered it an acceptable compromise. Unfortunately, they won’t even do this for the el cheapo $500 Taylor. Advice to the owner: Don’t promise something if you aren’t willing to keep your promise!!! I have aspirations of owning custom shop Taylor but I will NOT be ordering it from Music Authority.
Very unfriendly if you can’t use the exact terms correctly,
Over priced compared to a lot of other music stores in the area. Only worth it if you are in a pinch.
12. Beeziestaxx Productions
Address: 10904 Wellington Dr, Covington, GA 30014 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Great farm to table burgers and sandwiches in downtown Conyers. Tons of craft beer options. Loved the atmosphere and would recommend to anyone trying to find a high quality local restaurant/Gastro-pub. Great place for a family outing or a business lunch. We will be back here soon.
Love Love Love this place! Service is out of this world, they really make you feel at home. If your’re on the hunt for an amazing burger, this is your spot! Their fries are amazing too but my new favorite is now the tacos!!! Hands down best place for Taco Tuesday. Every time we go we try a new brew, the variety is endless. We have discovered some of our favorites thanks to Tin Plate.
PBJ burger was super good!!! Our waitress was very friendly and patient, answering all our questions. This place is a must try in social circle area.
Burgers are great and local brews
Great burger. Weird lighting and seating. Service was fast food type service.
Nice location, trendy, we didnt enjoy the food, but we’ll go back to try something else…my wife had the vegan platter and the fried green toatoes were really soggy. We go again and report back!
Had high hopes. Thought the price was worth it but was mistaken. Burger was dry and they left off the sauce as well. Felt like i was eating a lump of meat. Fries were OK.
So, so food, slightly overpriced for what you get. Sever over poured my beer to half a glass of foam. So much so gave me my second on the house. Pickle plate tapa was extremely disappointing. Burger flavor was good but sloppy.
Very unorganized on this particular day!! Will try it out again though..
16. Guitar Center
Address: 1455 Pleasant Hill Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30044 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
I love this place! They have all your musical needs
Always a great experience.
Jared had amazing customer service some of the best I’ve ever experienced
great variety of musical equipment. very relaxed atmosphere you can test play almost evrything.
Has decent amount of things buys stuff right on spot they didnt have alot of music books.
Bought a guitar. Folks were nice once they found you.
Visited the store to get instructions on setting up my dj equipment. The employee asked me if I needed help with anything, and I told him my problem. He distinctly said, “you need some instructions” and walked away. He went to handle another customer, then laughed and giggled with other employees for 15 minutes. I left the store and would never return there or recommend anyone to shop there.
Waited in line an enormous amount of time, only to find outthe item I was to purchase was price labeled incorrect. Bought a different item, only to be missing items in the box. Staff was nice, but extremely slow. Just odd cashiers needed help, but they had someone at the door to confirm your receipt was what you had paid for.
At first I had a good experience with this store when I visited on Sunday. I do not remember any names but one guy (skinny, white guy with small beard) helped me with my first purchase with a guitar. We were very happy with that experience and spent a good amount of time there making sure I bought the right guitar. Then we returned to this store today and it was a completely different staff and attitude. I was 1 of a 3 person party in which 2 of the 3 were looking to buy a guitar tonight since I had already bought one two nights ago. We looked online at the guitars we wanted and immediately went to the Acoustic Corral to find them but could not find either. One guy helped find one guitar and went to the back to find it carrying back the box with it (I suppose this was Dwayne because that’s what the receipt said – tall, white guy with glasses). He then passed it to David (which I assume in which is what his name tag said – hefty, bald black guy) which was a little short with us but it could be his personality. He let us open the box and go to the Corral to play it before buying. Upon inspection, we noticed a dent and went to bring it up to him. He brushes it off and says “yeah, I noticed that when I opened the box.” I could only assume he hoped we bought it without noticing it and never offered to get a new one until we brought up we would not accept only a 5% discount for this new out-of-box dent and wanted a new one. He sent Dwayne to get it and Dwayne proceeded with the purchase and helped us with a trade-in. While waiting for the other person in my party to receive the guitar from the back, he looks around near the Vault to which one employee states “Apparently people can’t read” to which he said he was not going to open the door as he read it was for Employees Only, but the guy said “yeah, we’re just trying to keep ‘normal people’ out.” If normal people mean “non-guitar players” or “new guitar players”, there goes 2/3 of the people in my party. My friend then decided he would buy the guitar he wanted at a different store. The only reason we bought the one guitar was because we came specifically to that store to get that specific guitar that was in stock. The staff made us feel like it was criminal to ask a question and I felt like I didn’t need to bother them for much even though we had some problems with finding merchandise and the dent with one.
17. Canton Music Shoppe
Address: 149 Reinhardt College Pkwy #11, Canton, GA 30114 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Great music shop! Excellent selection and super knowledgeable staff. Brought in a guitar that needed some love and they knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend this business.
Called to get a price on strings. They were helpful over the phone and prices are cheap. Will go in to check this place out and write an update ;).
The Canton Music Shoppe is a great place to shop. The sales person was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Great sales people. I would recommend this place to anyone to shop at.
Great staff. Very friendly. Prices were great!
The entire experience there is subpar. First, it has absolutely no character. Everything is very sterile and impersonal. Maybe it’s a personal preference, but I prefer a bit of an offbeat feeling in music stores. Second, I understand you wouldn’t carry instruments or other big ticket items for lefties, but picks (banjo – thumb) are dirt cheap and keeping a bag of them around shouldn’t be an imposition. Your function is to sell that sort of thing. The goal is to always be able to say, yes I have that. Third, and most importantly, the people who run it are just awful at dealing with the public. As some have said, they do comment on customers behind their backs. I have had this same complaint from people I know personally. I’m 50 and clean cut. The older guy literally followed me around the store when I visited (you can view 99.9% of the place from the counter), as if he was selling diamonds and I was going to shove them in my pockets. All in all, there are better places and better folks to deal with than these.
Customer service said it all as I walked out and heard the guy comment to another store employee that people who can’t play will blame the guitar. If my playing was the problem, he could have been the solution in helping me figure that out instead of being snide, patronizing and rude, or at least he could have waited until I was gone. Needless to say, this long time customer will go elsewhere in the future. UPDATE: I went to Guitar Center in Kennesaw where my son and I were listened to and treated respectfully. We were thoroughly assisted with patience and great advice; bought a new guitar and perfect traveling case. Will definitely continue to shop there even though it’s a bit of a drive.
Owner (I assume (wears glasses)) is arrogant and unfriendly. When purchasing strings, I asked what guage and web he recommended for my purposes. He looked at me and answered as if I was an idiot for asking in the first place. Strings were $5 more than I can get them online, so next time I will wait on them to come in the mail instead of supporting a local business. $17 for elixirs. Unfortunate.
18. Guitar Center
Address: 2480 Briarcliff Rd NE Suite 13, Atlanta, GA 30329 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Big box music store, with just about everything. Not a place for anything that isnt a standard name brand. The Best Buy if music stores.
Never did get Jared over to electronic drums..
Not particularly unique.
I just stopped in guitar center this morning to grab a strap and another accessory. I have a couple big shows in town tonight and tomorrow. It was hard to find anyone who could help me. When I finally did find someone he was short with me and rude. He walked off, I suppose, to find the accessory I needed. He didn’t come back. Later I saw him moving boxes around. The trip cost me an hour of my morning. I left without any of the things I needed and now I have to go to another store. I won’t be shopping here ever again and I don’t recommend that you do either. Big disappointment.
Awful! Horrible! Terrible! I bought an amp (which I’m really happy with by the way) that had to be shipped from another Guitar Center. I mentioned twice during the transaction that I wanted to ship it to my home (I live about 40 minutes away!) and then called the store later to confirm that it was being shipped to my home! Guess where it was shipped! The store. No apologies, and everyone I worked with had a horrible attitude. I even overheard the manager of the store recounting a time where he gave bad customer service to another customer and blamed the customer.
I am a professional musician, and I do not reccommend this store, and I will certainly not be using it again!
Bad customer service. Matter of fact it a black guy and I’m black. He had an attitude about a return. If it doesn’t work and I can’t use it then I want my money back. He acts like he owns the store. Never I will shop there again. He’s lucky that I didn’t get his name. I will put him on front street
19. A E Schlueter Pipe Organ Sales
Address: 2843 S Stone Mountain Lithonia Rd, Lithonia, GA 30058 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Considering the purchase of a new organ for our sanctuary. I’ve been very pleased with the sales rep and the quickness of his response to my request for a quote.
20. JAWS GUITARS
Address: 111 Mountain Vista Blvd #135, Canton, GA 30115 , Social Circle , Georgia , United States
Brought two acoustic guitars in for setups to improve the action and playability. Jim does amazing work! Now both of these guitars play beautifully! His listens to what you need and really delivers, plus you get quick turn around. I whole heartedly recommend JAWS GUITARS to anyone needing new gear or improvements to your current instrument.
Support local
Pro owner, Pro equipment. Great prices and the only pro store in town
support your local music stores. professional repairs and great service. These guys give fair prices on trade-ins as well.
Great sound equipment at reasonable prices compared to the big box music stores. The gentleman, who I assumed was the owner, was very knowledgeable about everything musical.
Cool store no other music stores in Canton owner is cool
I needed a setup for my Gibson Les Paul and decided to give Jaws a shot because of their overwhelmingly positive reviews. I dropped of my guitar and told the luthier that I was experiencing a lot of fret buzz. The turn around time was very quick and I was able to pick it up the next day. I was told that there would still be some buzz based on my attack, which seemed like a cop out. I asked if there were any high frets and I was assured that there were none. I took the guitar home and played it to find that I was still experiencing buzzing even when strummed lightly. I pulled out the fret rocker to find that several of my frets were high despite what the shop told me. Overall, this was a waste of time and money and I’m very disappointed with the level of service.
