As inflexible as it gets. I was trying to rent a cello for a funeral but because we were from out of town they could not work with us. I even tried to give them a credit card for the cost of a new cello and the manager said they just could not do it: they have a way of doing business and there is no flexibility.
I then called Patrick’s Music and they worked it out in about 5 minutes. Go to Patrick’s.

I bought my first electric guitar from American Music 25 years ago. I bought my first synthesizer there. I’ve made all my major purchases there. Never again. Today, I went to pick up something for my work and left my phone on my desk. When I arrived, the door was locked with instructions to call for assistance. I look inside and see an old guy at the counter so I knock on the window and jingle the door (which has bells). As I’m trying to get his attention he ignores me and walks into a back room. Thankfully, a neighboring business called to ask for me to be let in. When she told him that I was trying to get in he told her, “I know. He needs to call.” She told him, ‘Well, he’s calling now. Can you let him in?’ I walk back over, the same old guy I saw lets me in, and I am so furious I show him what I need, I pay the $5.19, ask for my receipt, and leave. I will never spend another dime here so long as I live. I will never help American Music by referring another person to them since their employees can’t be bothered to answer the door for me. It’s a shame that our relationship of 25 years came to an end like this but I will not be disrespected just because I didn’t have a phone with me.

Bought a new PRS ES 245 on line, from a reputable guitar store. It was two day delivery so I could play it with my son who was visiting from out of town. On delivery it was missing a nut to hold the jack. The reputable store said that I could send it back to be fixed or returned. Neither was satisfactory as my son arrived the same day as the guitar. This was to be a jam session before he leaves for college. I called mystic music and spoke with Tom. He said to come on over and let him take a look. Not in two weeks or two days, now, my son and I drove over after I hung up the phone. He was friendly and looked over the guitar, brought out some tools and the appropriate parts and fixed it on the spot. He informed me that it needed a little overhaul to make it play perfect! (He will kill me) it was no charge for the easy repair. I’m coming back to get the final professional tuneup and look forward to playing it dialed in. I am new to Fresno and this IS my new guitar store!! Thank you Tom!! I’ve been in customer service for 40 years and know the importance of going the extra mile! Mystic music is a no brainer! I certainly want to give credit where credit is due. I am quite an old guy now, and I want to eventually leave my Martin and my Taylor acoustic guitars as memorabilia for my family. A friend of mine suggested that I add my signature to each of those guitars. I had no idea how to do that because I didn’t want to simply sign each with a permanent felt pen. I contacted a number of music stores for guidance, but no one knew what to say about it – until I called Patrick’s Music. The owner of Patrick’s Music suggested that I consider going to a trophy shop about perhaps getting that done. I would have never thought about this, as no one else did. But due to Patrick’s advice I decided to contact Sunnyside Trophy Shop, and very fortunately they were able to place a laser signature on each guitar. This is very valuable to me and my family, so I must thank Patrick again for his influence and advice. Because without that, I would’ve never known what to do about getting that permanently done!

My guitar instructor suggested I have JT’s lower the action on my CD60 Fender acoustic. I also had replacement strings I had purchased online. Dan and TC were friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. Dan adjusted the action and replaced the strings in a few days for a reasonable price. I could not be more pleased.
Every time we’ve been in we get excellent customer service! My father left me his guitar but it had a broken headstock and other damage. He unbelievably restored it to its 1950s condition! I’m eternally grateful!
Unprofessionally running business they were closed early then business hour
Took my amp there for a Bias with my own $120 quad matched tubes. Tech called me back saying he dropped n “broke” one of my quad matched tubes so he’ll replace them. He replaced them with “new” tubes…but the brand name(Apex) stickers on the”new” tubes are falling off. Never seen that on brand new tubes. Oh and it took them 2 weeks. 2 weeks to turn my modern hi-gain amp into a blues combo amp. I know the amp tech didn’t even “test” my amp. How do I know? All my volume, bass,mid,treble, gain settings stayed exactly the same as where I left them. Why was my “broken” tubes not returned to me? And why wasn’t there a receipt for the new ones that are falling apart? Very unprofessional.

I went in to discuss drum options for our church setup and the drum pro, Tommy, was amazingly helpful. He talked us through all our different options – acoustic/electronic/electro-acoustic. He spoke in terms we could understand and was patient with our numerous questions. Thanks Tommy for a great experience!

It is as most everything else is these days, gaff (stage tape) everywhere designating which direction to go, how, when. I can’t shake the image of Andre The Giant (in two-tone Andy Warhol pop-icon imagery) and the soft-spoken, simple instruction; OBEY.
Not a good selection, some we’re dinged up with no price change to reflect on buying a new guitar with damage.
EXTREMELY Rude ass sales people, stood around no one would help me. Dont even waist your time buy online! I will never go back!

Bought bikes here for the kids. Quality bikes. They have a trade in program. You turn in the old bike you bought there for a bigger one and you get half the price of the first bike off of the second bike. For example buy a $300 bike come back next year when the kids out grow it and get $150 off a new bike.
Service was good but they are far more expensive than the other bike shops around town. I would say if you don’t mind spending 30% more than the other brand name bike stores than this is your place
Both times I went in the employees mentioned how it’s a very corporate formula store and they didn’t have much control over the stock. I might go there for a Trek specific thing but the vibe was really bummer.
Ok editing. Service is good. However the tire they ordered for my bike has been punctured many a time and the last couple times the stickers you find everywhere here left gaping holes in my tubes that the sealant couldn’t seal. So I replaced the tire they sold me with an extra thick one from Amazon along with an extra thick tube.
First time here and will be the last. I live down the street from this place and wanted to take a look to see what they have in their inventory for my wife. An associate by the name Loree approach us right off the back rubbed me the wrong way. My wife does not know too much we were just in the market to get the right size bike for her. Loree did not want to speak to me, he wanted to speak to my wife even though she told him to speak to me. He pretty much blew me off and I have never felt disrespected that much before . I am the buyer. The one that is purchasing. Pushy and keep misleading information and keep telling my wife lead time is not long. I’m am also in the same type of work line, by far worst customer service by that man.

I buy everything from them (Guitars, Guitar accessories, amplifiers, music books) and if they don’t have what you are looking for they can suggest a similar product or order the one you want. I have now been buying from them for the last 4 to 5 years and I have no regrets.
Had what I needed to teach my new piano student! Cashier was very short and rude. Could not make eye contact and was on her cell phone texting. I’ve been shopping here for years and never had a customer experience like that.

Good Afternoon, I dropped my daughter’s trumpet off August 19, 2019. I was told by the staff, the instrument would be ready Friday, August 23. I stopped pass the music store, Monday morning, August 26, to get a status on the instrument. I was told the trumpet was not ready. I called Tuesday afternoon, August 27, and was told the trumpet was not ready. I am a value costumer, who value other people time and would like the same in return. Unfortunately, it does not happen. If the instrument was not going to be ready for pick-up on the day provided by the staff (Friday 23 August), courtesy calls should be made informing the customer a status on their “drop off” instruments. More than a week has past, the instrument has not been touched or cleaned. Gottschalk Music Store customer service skills are being executed poorly and unprofessional.
The work done to the violin was completed the next day that was good but the hospitality was the worst. My daughter had an emergency, she needed to find a bathroom, guick. The young man said no she could not use theirs and directed her down the street. This just broke my heart. My daughter would have had an accident had it not been for the understanding people at the restaurant across the street.
Avoid giving your email address to this small business. They don’t use a system where you can unsubscribe. They have an old fashion email list, and you can reply to it it either. My son played an instrument for 3 weeks and gave it up. I have been receiving emails from them for 3 years since with no way to removed it. Completely annoying.

This establishment employs racist salespeople. We walked in and we were asked to leave within 60 seconds of our visit. We are interested in purchasing a piano but were judged solely on the color or our skin. I hope no people of color EVER purchase from this establishment AND that other people boycott them as well.

Simply the BEST drum shop in the Central Valley. A must-have place for local percussionists.
Found them online, they were 167 miles north of me, and the Pro drum Shop in Hollywood was within 5 miles the same distance south of me. So, I went to Bentley’s. I not only avoided LA, I found the best drum shop around. I also found the exact crash cymbal I wanted. I went there for a different one, but what they had was even better, and cheaper too! As well they had stuff instock that was just what I needed, The store is fantastic so are the people. I even got a Roland Handsonic for my wife that they as well had in stock. After driving over 300 miles it is nice to be very happy. As Arnold says “I will be back”.

Never seen a professional drum shop as frugal as Bentley’s Drum Shop.
I purchased a cymbal from them and had retuned it still under the store warranty for a replacement due to a few small cracks. It took them almost a year to get the cymbal replaced. I was wondering why it took so long after 5 months. So I made a call. The owner claimed that I already came in to pick it up. I told him to check his paper work on his end. He called back and said yes it’s still processing and didn’t even apologize. Wow after 5 months and still processing? Just got a call today to go pick up the cymbal. And they want to charge me for shipping. Again it was still under store warranty. They should of just replaced it with no questions asked.
Always supported them. But after this experience of how the shop owner handled this. Im no longer supporting this drum shop any more.

If I could give this band 0 stars I would. My family booked them for my grandmothers 80th birthday months ago, a deposit was given and they confirmed two days before the event and said they would arrive 15 minutes early. On the day of the event, they no showed. No curtesy calls. Nothing. We attempted to call them for 90 minutes past their show time and struggled to make contact with anyone. Ultimately, still have not had contact with the business owner. This business is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend to anyone.
