Such a pleasant and kind staff. And they have so much.
Great service
I went into the store with a small shopping list of beginning trombone student supplies. The place is so piled high with inventory that I just showed my list to the person at the counter rather than get lost in it all. I was really surprised to see so much in the shop.
He retrieved everything on the list in a matter of seconds and also showed us how to care for a trombone, using one of the instruments in the store to demonstrate. AND it all cost a little less than the same items cost on Amazon. I’ll definitely be back!
Great service! Wish there was more selection but their wide expanse of all types of musical knowledge is unmatched in the area.
Muy bonito
Great and helpful!
Be careful of the instrument rental contracts here, very shady. There are many other options to rent instruments from places nearby, and I would recommend going with a place like Guitar Center over this one if you want an honest and straightforward agreement. We were told by the owner, Robert, at a rental night that we pay monthly on the balance until the value of the instrument is paid off. When automatic payments stopped getting charged, we assumed it was because the instrument was paid off. After a year, we got a notice from a collections agency saying we owed almost $1000 in rental charges, without any prior notification from Whites music that there was still any kind of balance on the account. Whites music claimed that the reason charges had stopped was that the expiration date on the card expired, and that we would have needed to go in and state that we wanted to own the instrument or we would continue to be charged for renting. The owner, Robert, was very rude to us on the phone and hung up on us when we asked questions about the music contracts. Other workers there said the person in charge of sending out notifications of the account being past due had recently been fired and refused to say anything else about the notifications not being sent out. One worker, Joseph, stated, “Are you in the habit of not reading the fine print on contracts?” in response to inquiries. If you rent from this company, you need to read carefully and keep careful records. Their contracts are set up in a way to take advantage of people, with a stipulation in fine print saying that you have to take additional measures then what is told to you on first signing. Furthermore, they are not afraid to lie about their services or speak unkindly to customers. It is apparent that Robert sees his business as a way to make money and that is all. He does not care about his customers, and he doesn’t care to run an honest business.
Update: After reading the owner’s reply, you should know that they did not lose money on this deal. This is a shady comment in itself, because they are referring to a small fee that was paid to the collections agency for them taking on the account. White’s Music received a payment in rental fees of over $400 from myself and the trumpet was returned to account for the other fees. They made hundreds of dollars as a result of this deal, not including the value of the trumpet which they can now rent out again. The owner also mentions the contract continuously as a reason why it is okay to behave the way they did. My dilemma has, and continues to be, that I received no notification of any late fees before being sent to collections. This dilemma was never responded to and the owner did not make up for this oversight. This company did not go out of it’s way to help me with this matter. They took a lot of money from me and did it in a dishonest way. If you notice, the owner makes no mention of hanging up on me, being rude, or the comment made by the employee about how I should have read the fine print on the contract more carefully. This business believes that it is established and it’s long-standing history with the community can make up for poor practices, and that as long as something is written into a binding contract, they can swindle people however they want. Just because this company once had an honest reputation in years past does not mean it continues to be that way.
Dropped off my guitar either Saturday or Sunday. All that needed to be done was one of the wires needed to be soldered, shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes. Was told it wouldn’t be ready until Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday comes and goes and we call and are told he was on a tech call and that it wouldn’t be done until Thursday. Already upset because at the very least I should’ve gotten a phone call updating me, we wait until today, Thursday. So we just went to the store and he still hadn’t even looked at it, was just laying there. So we just picked it up and left without it being fixed. It shouldn’t take that long, and you couldn’t even call and update? Took it to Guitar Center instead
Never has anything in stock. Had to go to Guitar Center’s Percussion Department for what I needed.
3. Guitar Center
Address: 4254 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA 93277 , Teviston , California , United States
Has everything you need as a guitarist or pianist or any instrument
Knowledgeable staff
They were nice enough. Right now I’ll give a 5 but really depends on how my guitar situation comes out. Than I’ll rate again or leave the 5.
good experiance
My son has been taking guitar lessons since January and he loves going every time.
Very expensive
Needed parts… The package I grabbed had parts missing because some kids took razor blades to the bottom of the packaging. (Because who else steals springs and screws from an $8 set of pick up rings) This building literally destroyed the music scene in surrounding areas. Local shops closed leaving kids nowhere to go BUT guitar center and destroy the gear. ( I also wanted to try out some markbass combos but they were all scratchy and Poppy with bad pots and potentially blown speaker.) I have no idea where all the musicians went but this place is basically a lesson room/babysitter now. No where near the caliber of great gear there from when it first opened. Yet another local music scene destroyed by GC.
Order something online to pick up at store. I walk in the store and there was no one to help me only one employee and manager was on a little smoke break so I had to call him from outside to help me because his employee couldn’t leave the front to guard the door. I still had to wait 20 minutes for him to look for my product that I had ordered. So I got mad and just left. Their management sucks. This store is a mess
Employees have great customer service one of the male managers is too cocky

5. American Music Co
Address: 2597 E Ashlan Ave, Fresno, CA 93726 , Teviston , California , United States
I purchased a Fender Telecaster from American Music Co. The guitar was shipped quickly to Boston and was received sooner than expected. When I spoke to the representative he answered all my questions and sent pictures of the guitar. I was very pleased with my purchase and would recommend checking them out for your music needs.
Very good service
American Music in Fresno made my purchase of a guitar fast, easy and very satisfying! Great people to deal with, very friendly, professional service and an excellent price on the guitar I bought! Thank you!
Great local business!
Staff is very knowledgeable.
Prices are very reasonable.
Large selection of instruments.
Great bunch of Guy’s
Excelente atención.
No one paid attention to me and I was ready to biyba quitar and amp.
As inflexible as it gets. I was trying to rent a cello for a funeral but because we were from out of town they could not work with us. I even tried to give them a credit card for the cost of a new cello and the manager said they just could not do it: they have a way of doing business and there is no flexibility.
I then called Patrick’s Music and they worked it out in about 5 minutes. Go to Patrick’s.
Staff really shows they care
6. Hendrickson’s Turlock Music
Address: 223 N Center St, Turlock, CA 95380 , Teviston , California , United States
Muy amables los dueños tienen de todo y si no lo consiguen
Love all the classic organs
Nice little place. The first music store I been to that sold cigar box guitars in this state.
I’ve been dealing with Hendrickson’s music since 1962.
Its a nice music shop, and the owner is very knowledgeable in the topics of different instruments even if he isn’t always there himself
It was a bit over priced for 2 reeds but the workers in the store were very helpful and very kind.
Asked for any information on a fender amp that my father gave me and they totally blew me off were rude beyond belief and were condescending like I was doing something wrong by asking. Whatever, it was years ago but I’ll never forget how they acted or how it felt.
I went in to the store to find some hardware and all the worker said that he didn’t have time. But then I called to ask for a drum set and he said he did have time.
Very dark and dirty store, went in for reeds and they kept trying to sell me an old piano, never did say if they had the reed I wanted or not. I left and went to another store in the area.
7. Grace Note Music Studio
Address: 814 W Oak Ave, Visalia, CA 93291 , Teviston , California , United States
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My son really likes his teacher and is very excited to go back every week. His teacher was very comfortable working with younger children (he is almost 6). We had a very positive experience.
Our 6 year old son has a natural love of music; so much so that he can scarcely contain his humming and drumming on the desk in his kindergarten class. When he hears music, every part of him resonates and his infectious smile just beams. My wife knew we had to harness this natural talent and she set out to find a music teacher who would charm our son into wanting to commit to the long term discipline that piano will ask of him. We found a perfect match in Gabe; a creative, engaging guy-next-door whose comfortable style makes learning music theory approachable. Gabe sincerely cares about our son, not just whether he plays the piano well (and the little guy is getting there- did great in his first recital last month) but that together, we nurture what will become our son’s life-long love of music.
We love Grace Note Music Studio, very skill instructors and friendly staff. This is our first year with them and very impressed with what my daughter has learn in such a short period of time. I wish I had enrolled her sooner.

좋은 음반들이 그리 다양하진 않습니다. 그래도 이런 공간이 있다니 좋았습니다. siegel-schwall band를 알게 해주어 고마웠습니다.
Good selection!!! Great people!!!
Very small, their “punk” section was unimpressive and so was the alternative selection
9. Ron’s Music Studio
Address: 2616 Adobe Rd, Morro Bay, CA 93442 , Teviston , California , United States
Ron worked on our daughter’s flute. When she played it she remarked that it had never sounded so good! Ron did a terrific job. His prices are reasonable and he does his best for turn aroud.
10. Styles Music
Address: 777 E Foothill Blvd, Pomona, CA 91767 , Teviston , California , United States
Fun, knowledgeable, patient, honest as the day is long. My first music stop some 30 years now.
Helpful friendly
Amazing shopping experience. The guys there are friendly and very knowledgeable.
both guys are great people,I have bought guitars, strings, accessories and also they have worked on my guitars.A-1 service all the time .I would recommend them
Friendly, good selection and a great staff. They are cheaper than Guitar Denter, and far more knowledgeable & helpful.
Took my guitar to get adjusted and have new strings added. Get my guitar back with a string that was put on in such a way that i cant even use the string -.- string isnt even able to make anyguitar sound-___- as shown on picture ,third string was put in with no care );
The guitar tech here is totally incompetent. I have a tech that does amazing setups elsewhere but he has been away due to medical leave. I had brought in an instrument to be fret leveled and the guy here was using the fret rocker completely wrong with the strings on. He told me he couldn’t do anything and that I should wait for my miracle guitar tech. I’m glad I did not do business with these jokes.
Really unprofessional to me as there customer. Sold me a used amp that was broken.
Check your used gear before you sell it!
Told me they would fix it, free of charge and possibly throw in some gas money! The amp would be done in about 4 days. Awesome!
3 weeks later! Excuse after excuse, they than surprised me with 60$ Charge when i went to go pickup the amp. Not ok!
If the amp was completed in original time frame, i wouldnt have cared about the 60$ charge.
Styles music you still have the ability to correct this, i hope you reach out to me.
Bought a vintage guitar from this store that ended up having buzzing issues. Not thinking much of it I had a few techs look at it, all three techs stated and even showed me how bad the neck was warped, a long term issue from improper care. In hopes of returning a bit after their return policy since the issue had been there to begin with, they held their return policy ground, said their guitar tech looked at it with no problems, and even had the audacity to tell me that I not only needed a second opinion, but that the situation was nothing but buyer’s remorse! As if I don’t buy and sell guitars for a living. Seeing another review here about bad tech experiences here..I would normally say this tech needs to stick to basic restrings only, but apparently can’t even do that either. I wrote a very understanding and forgiving email about the issue and even offered an exchange for a different vintage guitar they had, trying my best to give this place a second chance..and not only outright refused me but added insult to injury claiming the neck warp was nonexistent. Thankfully I was able to sell the pickups for more than half what I paid, and plan on using the body for a custom project. One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure dealing with. Completely insulting. I, nor anyone I know will buy from this store again.
