I would just like to add yet another praising review for Jazzmen. We were looking to buy a used piano for my son and were totally newbies at picking out one for quality and still needing help with delivery and service.
We stumbled upon Jazzmen purely by accident, (story for another time), and Ryan was in the middle of a personal party as it was a Sunday. Instead of following the template of 90% of other Connecticut businesses and telling us to piss off, he stopped what he was doing and graciously showed s what turned out to be my son’s dream piano.
Ryan kept us up to date over the next week via texts and delivered right on time to my front door. He tuned it and even threw in a free stool which he said he had acquired by chance that week. It got a little out of tune from its being tuned after all the years and the moving, and guess who was more than happy to show up and give it a tweak. RYAN.
BUY FROM HIM. He’s awesome.
Excellent Service!!
I bought my baby grand from Jazzmen and the service was far beyond excellent!! The owner was low on stock when I contacted him over the phone, and he told me to come in with a deposit so he could find one in my price range. Then he went out and found the perfect high end piano for me, tuned it, made the finish look brand new, and even delivered it for only $400 after my initial deposit which he spent on the instrument. I ended up with a piano worth over ten grand that amazed my wife (which is a priority in my household.) and I’m glad I went to a professional to purchase something I know very little about, I also learned allot about buying pianos from all the photos and bios of pianos he sent me which got me hyped for getting one in my living room!!
If you want a honest person treating you like your their best friend, go to this place!

Really cool record shop, nice owner, good prices on her stride go and accessories
The.Best.
Great! Tons of rare stuff! Great prices!
I wish it was closer to me.
Dude this place is killer Gary and Adam (he wrote a cool book) awesome metal selection they can order pretty much anything you want if it’s not in the store plus they have been around for years hell yeah support the local music really great place hands down
People here go above and beyond to your visit worth while
Someone said “best indie cd store around” which is a real stretch. Not a whole lot of indie in my experience. Mostly boomer rock and playing it safe mainstream stuff. It may not be your cup of tea but if you own a record store and don’t carry at least one King Gizzard record then you aren’t really tapped into what is current and what sells.
This isnt a music store. I am a professional guitarist, and was looking for a local place to buy another guitar. This is a RECORD store, the ideas cool but I think the name is miss leading. Its definitely not a music outlet, should be called record outlet.
4. The Stu 860
Address: 88 Pearl St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Thompsonville , Connecticut , United States
Literally love it here! The engineer is the best around. Multiple studio rooms and also a podcast room. Conveniently located next to a liquor store and corner store for all your studio needs.
Great Services!!
Been recording here since I started making music. I haven’t left.
Wouldnt recommend If you want finished product.
5. This Old Piano tm
Address: 450 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Thompsonville , Connecticut , United States
Highly recommend! Ryan is top notch and always gets our studio piano at Sage Sound Studios sounding great! He is very knowledgable, and accommodating.
This is a great place. I had an opportunity to play there. Great brands, high level instruments, great service. Visit this place. It is really worth.
Ryan is a well experienced technician and provides great service
Forget about those other so-Called piano tuners.
This is “THE MAN” for the job.
Not only did he “PERFECTLY” tune my piano, but tweaked it to perfection. Made my “1890” old piano sound brand new. I highly recommend this guy for any restoration and tuning.

Very very good food! Exceptional!!
Excellent service!
Great quality and quantity of food!
Silvia , you are the best.
A well hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was excellent and the portions very generous! Can’t wait till our next visit!
Had a wonderful dinner at Silvia’s last night! The homemade bread, fresh salad and main entrees were fabulous. We had sautéed scallops that were amazing and the German wiener schnitzel. The portions were huge! Dessert was homemade ice cream and apple crisp – absolutely delicious. We were not rushed and felt like we were right at home with Mom!
Quiant and comfortable cafe. The fish and chips was under done. But it was the owner greeting guests and cooking the food.
Is ok
I can accept all of the reviews except for the bad food. I ate there in the winter with a friend and the place was relatively empty and uncomfortably cool. However, Sylvia’s warmth made up for the chill (not literally but you know what I mean). The menu had a number of choices but Sylvia recommended whhat she thought was best that night and assured us that we would love it. She was correct. The breads, salads, soups, entree and desserts were all very good. I do suffer from a vision problem, my eyes are bigger than my belly, and I think that I ate enough for two days and still had leftovers. It is not fancy by any means, the wines are not to my liking so I simply refrained from ordering any, but the meal was worth it. One of the best meals that I ever had was in Milano – where the chef just brought out plates of his choice. In a way, that is how I view this restaurant. I don’t understand her pricing, but it is reasonable and worth it!
The food was cold, the carver at the carving station picked up a big slab of meat with his hand and put it on my plate! I suggested he use the fork in his other hand next time. I could go on and on, but not even worth my time! On the way into the front door, there was a used tampon in the grass and trash strewn about …I should’ve turned back then! I just wonder how this place could ever pass a health inspection? The place is filthy!
They must’ve paid those people to give rave reviews, because that’s just NOT reality! They actually sat people in a storage room off the socalled dining room. Not recommended, especially for a get together…YUK!
I got food poisoning from here, cutlery was dirty, the restaurant was UNBELIEVABLY HOT inside and they didn’t even give us the right food we ordered. Seems like she just gives you what ever SHE wants to cook. Will not be returning
My boyfriend and I ate here in 2011 and it was great.. so in January we decided to go back. What a mistake…. She only let us pick from three things off the menu “becuase of the weather”.. She brought us out a cold tuna/bean salad that looked regurgitated. I cut into my chicken with a butter knife and it snapped, like rubber. It was clearly years old and frozen… My boyfriend and I were nearly sick to our stomachs when we left. The decor is so old and it looks like nothing has been cleaned or dusted in 20 years. I will never go back.. so disappointing..
8. Barnes & Noble
Address: Enfield Commons, 25 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082 , Thompsonville , Connecticut , United States
The coffee is great and the wide selection of books makes for a great night out.
Great Sports card selection! Would definitely recommend over every other place that sells sports cards! Fairly priced not overpriced or underpriced for what you get! Friendly staff and will consistently be coming back here!
Great selection. If they don’t have something, they will order it for you.
I buy books, hardcover notebooks and boardgames here, it’s one of the last brick and mortar stores where you can do that.
Very nice clean store and coffee shop. Lots of sweets and high calorie drinks. Large clean bathrooms too.
I got what I wanted and I was in and out in no time.
I love going to Barnes and Nobles to shop at the bookstore and have a delicious coffee and dessert, but I’ve already been twice and I’ve had the experience that the young people on duty treat me disrespectfully. Unfortunately I will not go to that Starbucks again
Fantastic service manager helpful
Thats why 2 stars instead of one
I understand it’s black Friday but don’t yawn loudly
I undersramd you been up since early but yawn quietly.
NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOU YAWN
WERE ALL TIRED YAWN QUIETLY OR GO AWAY
I had to ask their only cashier to help me..she did, but couldn’t find what she was looking for either. The shelves are very disorganized…I walked by 3 employees just chatting with eachother, not customers
9. Game X Change
Address: 54 Hazard Ave Suite 125, Enfield, CT 06083 , Thompsonville , Connecticut , United States
What a cool store! I was able to grab a ps3 controller, a copy of ffx/x-2 remaster and a discounted copy of breath of the wild for a reasonable price! Everyone was courteous and willing to banter. 5/5 would recommend.
Rachel and Dan goated fr. Great customer service.
Very friendly and nice to have entertaining and fun conversation with. Great selection of Games too!
Full selection of awesome games, collectables and more.
If you haven’t been you should go check it out
Nice selection of old and new games. Great customer service.
Nice place for older electronics, games, movies, and collectables. I haven’t sold or traded anything in to Game X Change yet, so my review is only based on my shopping experience there. From the second I walk in, the staff is friendly and greets me, and asks if they can help. Usually, I’m just there to browse Sega Genesis and Atari 2600 games. Their selection can be lacking at times for Genesis though. The vast majority here are the sports games that you would find anywhere, but I know they are at the mercy of what the local trade-ins bring in. The store is otherwise a pretty well-rounded selection of games, accessories, and pop-culture merch. I’ve also found some great deals. I’ve gotten some games for less than the going rate in the retro market, which I always appreciate. I’m glad to have this store in Enfield, and I’ll keep coming back.
Brought in a good amount of items including a couple movies from a couple years ago an was told that it was junk.
They won’t even give me my full cash back for a broken computer that they say they tested but they didn’t it’s broken
Didn’t have what I was looking for
10. Best Buy
Address: 95 Elm St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Thompsonville , Connecticut , United States
Good selection, but employee expertise varies a great deal. Always do your research do your before you buy.
Jake in the mobile department gave me a false quote of $250.00 for a promotion on the galaxy note 20. After an hour of driving I arrived at the best buy to purchase my new phone. When I got there in was greeter with a 20 minute wait only to be told that jake gave me the incorrect information and I needed to wait for a mobile supervisor. After speaking with him he told me theres nothing he can do unless I’d like some earbuds and it will be $1299.99. No company should be able to do this to customers. Beyond a waste of my time with no solution.
