Lovely place.
This shop is always there when we need them. Pulling out all the stops to help us with repairs and adjustments. Great service is their trademark. Friendly and respectful. We get all our instruments here. Thanks for getting us ready for competition on short notice.
It’s a good place to get your kids to start learning how to play an instrument.
Very rude staff. I approached the counter and asked if I could complete the online registration for music lessons in person. The staff member spoke very rudely to me. When I notified this person of his unprofessional attitude, he told me I had “interrupted [him] while he was doing something important for a customer”. I told him he was so rude that I probably wouldn’t even sign up for the lessons. He responded “fine” and took the paper with my information on it, balled it up and threw it down onto the floor directly in front of me before turning his back to me while I was speaking. Meanwhile, a second staff member stood by watching and smiling. If you enjoy being disrespected, this place will be perfect for you.
** Thank you for your response, Melody Mart. There is no misunderstanding. Don’t backpedal now, keep your same energy as you displayed in person. There were NO customers at the counter and you asked “How may I help you?”. Your unprofessional behavior from that moment forward was totally inappropriate and out of proportion for the situation. Not sure how you can justify throwing a customer’s information onto the floor. Keep your services. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Parking is terrible. Some of the instructors are not very good, but a few are..kinds a gamble for your money..no refunds on missed lessons…instructors and staff will tell you anything to get your money oh did o mention terrible parking …make sure you have your walking shoes on

Manager and staff did a great job fixing a special order problem we had.
they take pretty good care of me for the most part.
Overpriced but handy.
Good deals on gear and they have the little things I need that I can’t get any where else
Not the best GC, customer service isn’t great, talked to Matt in guitar and he was kind of useless, most these guys jam at home, some gigging musicians, but they’re pretty snobby and have no intention on helping, they can’t even recommend somewhere that can help… Bummer
Went in during my workday to buy a guitar I played around with yesterday. Just wanted to pay and get out, stood in line as a single associate was helping some guy buying half the store and kept going back to shop as he was checking out, waited ten minutes, finally some other employee comes to help, checks out one guy, tells me the other employee will help me when he’s done, several employees standing around doing nothing. They also helped another guy that walked in after me before me, I finally put the guitar back and left. There’s a reason I always shop at Sam Ash instead of Guitar Center.
Do not buy from this store online. I bought a high end microphone from them, and it arrived without the included shockmount. I spent several weeks trying to get them to send me the mount that was supposed to come with the microphone, but every time I called, the managers were either not in the store or they were not available to talk. They took my number at least three times and promised to call me back each time, but they never did. This might be a good store in person for all I know. But if you’re buying online, especially if you’re buying something expensive, play it safe and buy from Sweetwater instead.

This is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. All music and furniture is personally curated by an amazing staff. Come for some deep cuts and great mid century furniture. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and selection of records for your collection.
Cool place. Staff is friendly and helpful. Vinyl collection is descent and growing. We found several records we wanted. They had several boxes they were going through that were not on sale yet. All the furniture was cool and in excellent condition.
Love the store and picked up a couple really nice albums today. But when a customer inquires about an “insignificant” $5 record on your sell site, there’s no reason to not respond when you’re aware of the inquiry or to be dismissive. It was listed to sell it.
Loved it
I don’t go in there much but my son-in-law loves going in there, so I always get him a lot of gift certificates
Went looking for a record shop as my son has taken an interest in vinyl. It’s fairly close being in Flossmoor. Went in, and it looks like they were still moving in with U-Haul boxes full of records everywhere in the front of the store. However, they have been here awhile, so I guess they just keep some stuff in boxes until room opens up to display them. They have room to display way more records but chose to be a furniture store as well. Almost everything in the store that you could possibly sit on has a do not sit tag on it, as it’s for sale. The one chair, a plastic 1 person stool, that had no tag on it, i sat on, then the owner said you cant sit on that, its for sale The prices for the furniture make me think the furniture there will become antiques in the store like the vinyl. They have record players and reel to reel equipment, selling for high dollars but with problems. The vinyl is overpriced for Condition as well. My son found a record and a case to keep his vinyl in, used, glfor $75. Hardly a deal. Seller wouldn’t budge off $65 for the used case in ok Condition. If it was me, I would have left it right where it sat, but he wanted it bad enough, I got it for him. There are definitely stores more reasonable than this, and the only reason I can guess for his pricing, must be high rent here.
