He repaired a keyboard for me. Same day actually. That is ideal, but I would have waited a day or two for good certified repair. Also I am newer to the area so I did not have my go-to like I did in Daytona Beach, so it was good to find a reliable person in a new town.

I went into the store and spent quite a bit of time playing them; they were very helpful and I was able to find a wonderful flute that I am so happy with. Their prices are very competitive. I really appreciate being able to buy my flute locally and help a local business.

I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD

This is a cool local guitar shop I found on vacation. It is small on square footage, but big on selection. Very reasonably priced and brilliantly displayed. Lots of beautiful instruments and supplies. Definitely worth a stop in, if you’re a guitarist.
“The WORST customer experience” ever, from GUITAR TECH. I was excited to go to this Local Shop for sometime now. Not because of a referral but because I’ve been seeing it everyday along my drive to work. Due to the shops inconvenient hours M-F 10am-5pm ONLY, I have not been able to get there until today. Keep in mind I have $1200+ ready to spend on new equipment. I was also looking to get some work done on my Fender p-bass. Tech came out after being asked by front counter, immediately with an attitude, “what do you want?” I explained that I was not completely excited about the big chain stores and I wanted to use a local business. I explained that I would like my instrument looked at, that I had some concerns. He explained that I could leave it, and that would have been fine by me, however I just had a quick question. It was just a quick glance that would say if it were obvious if the neck was twisted. Then he proceeded to tell me to “leave it or go..” I was floored by his continued rudeness. I told him leaving it was fine but I just have a couple questions. He again rudely said “leave it or go..”. So I told him I was very disappointed that I was looking for someone I could trust and buy from going forward. I closed my case up, and proceeded to work towards leaving. I accidentally knock some business cards off the counter, then immediately went to bend doqn to pick them up, but before I could he swore at me basic saying “look at the f#@$ing mess you made. That is when I said fine you pick it up then, and started walking towards the door at which point he continued tobswore and say “get the f@#$ out of the store practically chasing me. I had no intention of want or ever wanting anything from that shop again. I don’t normally write reviews but this needed to be share to protect others from a rude and poorly run business…. Look elsewhere, I will. If anybody knows of a great shop that I can trust and spend my money at, please let me know.

Buyer beware: Multiple times I’ve brought shiney new guitars in for minor repairs or upgrades. EVERY time the guitar was returned with scratches and dings that were inflicted while in this shop. The guy who is always behind the counter acts like he’s doing you a favor by saying Hello, never mind delivering a good customer experience. What a terrible shop!!

As a new guitar player it was great to go to a store that had a helpful staff in getting set up to play without a lot of pressure. I was gifted a few nice guitars and the staff got me setup with the advice and items I needed to get started. Fred, one of the guitar technicians restrung one of my guitars and provided great tips and advice as I navigate this new interest of mine. Fred’s experience and customer service will keep my future business with Guitar Center in Fort Myers.

Great friendly folk at the GC here, they don’t try to bar the door as musicians rush in just before 9 pm, which is great since if they are there at that hour it’s probably urgent 🙂

Just called to ask about what kind of guitar amps they had in stock and i was told ” we only have three employees and we are too busy for that. And i should just order online” call me old school but i would prefer to try something before i drop $500. I live over an hour away from this store and all i wanted to know was if they had anything in my price range. This stores customer service has really gone down hill the last few years.

Went to have a Teflon nut added to a Strat. The tech told me I needed to bring back a “preslotted Fender nut”. Working from his vague description, I brought one back and of course it was the wrong one. He told me the part was # PQL-5000-00. Later when I was able I looked up the part and realized he was wrong because the PQL-5000-00 is a plain plastic nut (the non-XL version) and does not have the Teflon coating like model # PQL-5010-00 TUSQ XL. Thankfully, I did not order it, so I avoided wasting $15 on yet another part I did not need. I also asked him if he could assist with fret work for a resonator. Rather than set up the resonator for service, he told me to bring back both guitars when I had acquired the nut, further delaying the time it would take for me to get the resonator repaired. He then walked away without so much as saying bye. I can’t even get any repair/upgrade work from the tech because he appears both unwilling and unknowledgeable. Thanks for nothing, Guitar Center.

We’ve had a good experience with this establishment. Bob has been extremely helpful and our violin teacher, Hunter has been great.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.

Educators Music has got to be the best place with the best prices in SW Florida ! I’ve been purchasing guitar equipment form Educators for over 20 years now. I’ve never had any problems and if I did, Educators Music fixed the problem in a timely fashion with a professional business type attitude and approach.
They also rent and service school instruments. In fact, they provide lessons for instruments of all kinds.
Educators Music has also opened a coffee and pastry cafe that connects to the music store. Its a great place for parents that may want a cup of coffee while waiting for their child to finish up a music lesson. The cafe features open mic nights and jam nights that accommodates people of all ages.
I highly recommend Educators Music for any of your musical needs!

I don’t recommend this music store. The woman working couldn’t find our violin case and blamed us for not calling ahead. Very inconvenient as we have to make another trip to retrieve it.
At first I thought it was a decent little store. It does not have much of a selection, but it had guitar strings, which is what I needed at the time… then I tried talking to the sales person. He wasn’t much help, and seemed like he had better things to do.
It got worse when I was talking with the owner. I was trying to make small talk with him, but he was a bit standoffish. He Became rude when I was telling him that it was an interesting little place, but I’d come back I like it. After that he acted like I should just buy the strings and get out… which is what I did.
After that experience I have decided that I will not be buying anything from them.
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!

I spoke to Jay for the first time today on the phone after my husband placed an order for our daughter’s birthday present a couple of months ago. He blew me away with his good-hearted initiative. Our order has been delayed due to the current worldwide logistic challenge. Jay was very thoughtful and generous to lend us a piano from his studio so that our daughter will have it on her birthday. I was speechless… Although we didn’t end up taking the offer, still his action was remarkably kind and it speak to the type of person and store owner that he is.
I am an Interior Designer and have a client who is taking possession of a baby grand piano. We were concerned about the amount of echo in the space. I originally called another piano store to ask my questions. They were not helpful and came across as too busy for me. So, I called Jay & Kay’s and spoke to Jay. He spent several minutes with me on the phone answering my questions and was very helpful. Thanks Jay!!! I will recommend you to any client who needs your services.

This is more of a music school than a music store if that makes sense. Sure, there is some sheet music and instruments for sale, but it’s obvious that they are for the student teacher relationship. I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time

This is one of the worst outlets I’ve ever been to, extremely dirty and low quality inventory. The other customers are the rudest I’ve experienced, someone dumped everything out of my car. Theres a lot of extra rules at this location that aren’t at other locations and it comes from them not trusting the customers. Cant bring a reusable bag, employee on watch, checking receipts at the door. All around bad experience. I would love to see this location improve but for now its 1 star.

When I was there, records did have a price. Has tons of records. Lots of rare ones. I got a nice deal on one. Only big complaint: the owner has a Trump/Pence bumper sticker.
I went there to buy some key issues and the owner and his son told me they keep all the good books for them self and only sell people their low grade books. I then asked if they could help direct me in the right direction after telling them the types of books I was looking for and the owner says you don’t even know what you want after me just telling him exactly what I was looking for. 100% do not recommend unless you are just looking for low grade low quality books. Any books of any decent grade or value they will not sell to you and they cherry pick all the best books for them self. Don’t get me wrong I understand a comic store taking good books for them self. However they should at least leave a few decent books for their customers to have a good experience when coming coming in. Don’t go there unless you want a book valued at under $200 and at that it will be overpriced in terrible condition. Also owner told me numerous times high quality books are expensive and that I probably couldn’t afford them. Worst experience ever!
