Had my Alvarez set up and restrung, it plays smoother than ever.
Good guys with big hearts. Affordable repairs and such well informed techs with welcoming smiles. Love this crew and happy to have them as part of the DTSP fam.
Great atmosphere inside. Friendly professional service, extremely knowledgable staff who were happy to help. Best guitar shop in the area!
I’m in guitar heaven
Nice place, a bit pricey. $50 for new strings. Pretty good selection.
Very vibey store and unwelcoming. No one really ever spoke to us. We came to spend money but decided to take our business elsewhere. They had a lot of nice stuff but no one ever asked if we wanted to play something. By the way, I think this may be my first review.
Took my Taylor NS32ce here about a year ago at other location, I was having some buzzing and tuning issues and thought it needed an adjustment, Owner agreed and took a look at the guitar and decided it needed a new neck joint shim, he asked to complete the job in store right then, I thought this was weird, but had read reviews that it was a good shop and I believe that they were affiliated with Taylor working there in the past or something so I trusted his judgment. This was a poor decision on my part, I watched him do the entire job in front of me in about a hour, I tried to tune up and play the guitar in store seemed OK at the time, but couldn’t really get a good listen inside a busy shop. When I got home the guitar was trashed, would not stay in tune for anything and felt like the neck was completely out of place from the new shim. Deflated, I took it to Sam Ash in Clearwater and had the tech take a look he agreed with the faulty work and kept it for a couple weeks and when I got it back it played like a dream again. I wasted a $100 at this place. I see the good reviews and wish the shop the best of luck, but wanted to tell my experience.
Went over the weekend to check this place out with my son. Who is an avid guitar player and has a pretty impressive collection. Went in to get some help/ tips on a guitar he just purchased and one of the gentlemen (the one with the skully in the pic) that work their is just snobby and was such a downer no help at all. Thank god my son didn’t really listen to anything he said or was discouraged cause that guy didn’t really know what he was talking about because we actually ended up finding what we needed somewhere else who was a more educated guitar player. Definitely don’t recommend this place for anything else other than nice location. I was truly disappointed. Do better guy.
If anyone needs great service and you can actually feel welcome and play guitars go to ST PETE GUITARS

Great service, knowledgeable staff. Neat unique finds and decent 2nd hand gear. Fair prices.
I love this gem of a guitar store in St Pete! I purchased a 12-string a year ago, and they re-string it when needs it. Friendly people, knowledgeable, and great service.
This place is a hidden gem in St Pete. Small local shop with great people, fair prices, and nice selection of everything musical.
Great tambourine
I was looking for a pair of drum sticks ( more less i had been thinking about when i get around to a music store and i was sitting at a a craft and drink / dessert place and saw the MAD MUSIC sign & desided to trot over and peek inside it was. pretty interesting and I got my drum sticks so now that I am retired living with my adult daughter 38 and 15 year old son its operation pay back time but I took it at the. Gee that would be a really enjoyable healthy way to keep my wrist limber ! who said aging wasn’t going to be fun!
Guitars and selections ok
My closest friend purchased a guitar amplifier Fender front man 25R for $ 250.00 traded it in yesterday at a local music store, they informed him it was only worth $90.00 they said mad music took him to the cleaners, I was standing next to him. I would stay clear of this music store, all musicians!
Very bad attitude from these guys without any fundamental on how to treat customers. The guy on the phone was extremely impolite … Great to have alternatives in St. Petersburg. byeeeee
Called store and Customer Service is non-existent, felt like I was bothering the guy. Spoke as if I was annoying him. This attitude just cost them a sale. If I could go as low as 0 stars, I would.

I came into Ricks on a whim to get some guitar picks and was very pleasantly surprised. Was greeted very amicably by Rick and felt like home immediately. If you are in the area and looking for a guitar professional, look no further!
5 stars isn’t enough for Rick. He did what I asked for and more! My guitar has never sounded better! If I need anything with my guitar he’s my guy
I have been purchasing guitars and utilizing Rick for all my guitars technical needs for years. His knowledge and honesty is unsurpassed. He literally makes my guitars sing. I would recommend him without reservation. A+++
Great guy to talk with! Pointed me in the right direction on finding vintage guitars!
The all in one bundle is a game changer this will bring my vocals to another level
Amazing customer support. I haven’t been disappointed with one product and the team at Baywood is truly for the people. Keep it up guys, your vocal presets are helping me sound PRO!
Incredible detail in each preset I have used. Beyond fun to tweak and play with too!
11. TrueFire

Great online guitar and bass courses ! (and actually a lot more : singing, banjo, theory…) ! Another reviewer said that their jam packs are not included in the all access plan, OK true… But, come on, ALL the courses ARE and you already have for more than a lifetime to watch and learn. Plus : A lot of backing tracks are available in the courses themselves. I find that calling the all access pass a scam is a bit rude especially when you have access to courses by world class players such as Robben Ford, Joe Bonamassa, Kirk Fletcher (blues), Pat Martino, Frank Vignola (jazz, hard bop), Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor (Fingerpicking), Josh Smith, Greg Koch… the list seems to never end. By the way the “lesser known” instructors are all top notch too ! I also really like Andrew Ford’s bass courses he’s super cool. (If like me you didn’t know him, he played with Al Jarreau, Whitney Houston and a lot of other super stars of the music business). Honestly , to me the Truefire all access pass feels like Christmas but every day ! The only thing you REALLY NEED with the pass is a lot of focus. I would strongly advice to take one to maximum three courses at a time and to take the time to end them before beginning anything else. Besides that I’m just so grateful to everybody at Truefire and to live in a world where we have access to this level of musical knowledge from anywhere in the world. Again, thanks so much for your incredible work !
Great guitar course materials and customer service is 2nd to none.
Great courses!
SCAM ALERT
I subscribed to their “all access” annual account & discovered their “jam packs” are NOT INCLUDED in the price. This is not “all access”. To me this is deceptive advertising to sell you additional products. I called the company and they have refunded my money.
Don’t fall for this scam!
MOE is the MAN! He packs as much inventory as stores twice his, and it circulates like a whirlwind, as MOE gets his hands on dream equipment. Because of Moe, I am the proud owner of a 63 Gibson Falcon amplifier AND a rare Gelanti all tube ITALIAN bass amp. He’s also many, many pedals, a xylophone, rain sticks (and other percussion doo dads) and the ONLY thing I’ve ever gotten that went haywire was a looper pedal that fried, and offered me a full refund without a receipt (which I traded for store credit, because there’s ALWAYS something else to want). Do yourself a favor and take a look at MOE’st Everything before committing to purchase anything, because for what you’d spend on a new Les Paul Studio, you could outfit a touring band! Seriously, don’t spend 15k at a Music Center for a name when you can get guitars of higher quality for a fraction of the price. Always something rare, vintage, previously unseen, or some accessory you never knew you needed until you saw it at 25% retail tucked in a corner at Moe’s.
Moe has an excellent and moest amazingly eclectic blend of musical apparatus, plus awesome expertise and energy !!+
I know Moe personally and he will go the extra mile to make you happy and give you the best deal possible.
Great little deli, moving into Tierra Verde soo , nice to have some places for a quick bite.
Amazing food! Very friendly staff. Stumbled across this place after a google search while boating at fort desoto. So glad we came. We ordered the club sub, mozz stick, loaded cheese fries and chicken fingers this time and it was all fantastic. We came back a second time in the same week and got the cheesesteak, loaded fries and club sub again. Cheesesteak was very Philly which is hard to find this side of south Philly. Trust me I live right over the bridge. Looking forward to coming back on our next vacation
Excellent cheese steaks, great local eatery.
Delicious Croque Madame and, of course, excellent Philly cheese sandwich! I’m so happy for the new owners and hope they continue to do well on TV.
Good food, fair prices… Dont be in a hurry at all
Stopped by for a late dinner after our fishing trip. Bianca was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. The environment was clean and cozy, awesome 80s music that we enjoyed. I would recommend their Philly cheese steak, it was delicious. The only reason I put 4 stars is because a couple of us asked for extra crispy wings and they weren’t crispy at all. I’m pretty sure they would’ve cooked them more if we asked but we didn’t. Other than that, I would definitely eat here again.
Terrible customer service! Do not go in or call at busy times they will be rude! Food is not worth their attitude!
Potatoes we’re burnt. Philly omelets were tasteless.
Disappointed…my sandwich had chunks of meat mixed with sliced meat, not true with a true “philly”…also had no option for cheese whiz. FYI, the food is good however, it is NEVER NEVER close to a true “philly”…beware!
17. Ronald Sachs Violins
Address: 4155 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 , Tierra Verde , Florida , United States
I’ve been a fan of Ron’s instruments for several decades and I’m thrilled to find that he’s opening the shop full time just in time for my relocation to Florida. Looking forward to being a regular here!
Our daughter is just starting on the violin and our instructor recommended Mr. Sachs. We couldn’t be happier with the experience. He advised us on the size she needed, as well as the violin that would work best to start. His rent to own plan is more than fair & our instructor was impressed with the instrument Mr. Sachs sent home with us. It truly is a beautiful instrument! We look forward to continuing to work with him.
I had a total restoration done on my Mandelli Italian Bass. The instrument was battle damaged over the last 100 years with many repairs upon repairs. It took a long time especially because of the pandemic. The bass is now beautiful and the sound even more so. I would highly recommend Ronald Sachs and his very experienced staff including David Sayres. Very Happy!
One of the best up and coming music collectives in the Florida area. A very accepting crowd who all has one goal in mind; making music to make the world a better place.
