One of the grocery stores to go to. Especially in Alaska. Always very helpful staff. Everyone knows everyone.

The 3Bears is like a mini Walmart. Good for locals and travelers. Prices are outrageous but to be expected when the nearest Walmart is 200 miles away and Costco 300miles away. That said we were able to get our dogs favorite kibble. They do carry several Costco brands. We will be volunteering in the area and depend on them for our substance while we are here.

This is THE ONLY grocery store in Tok. Prices are honestly pretty okay. Perishables are a little high but not a stab in the chest.

Guys set us up with fishing licenses and let us park our rv overnight in their parking lot. Lots of places don’t let you boondock.

It is a really cute coffee shop with beautiful traditional art like birtch bark baskets, unique and gorgeous willow lamps, great handmade soaps, and beautiful jewelry! I’m obsessed with the earrings! The coffee is amazing, and the cups have the perfect amount of espresso. The tea is really good, also.

Super fast friendly service, large choice of coffees and drinks. An oasis in Alaska.

Bester Kaffee weit und breit

Each time I went there to get a coffee or drink, it didn’t taste very good. The coffee tasted like milk and the drinks didn’t have very much syrup. Every time I went, I wanted to give it another chance but the drinks always ended up not tasting very good.
Edit: went back when the owner was serving coffee. Tasted great!

It’s a three because most of the time my order isn’t right, but the service is always great 🙂

Broke my trailer tongue in the yukon and managed to limp into tok. They were able to fix it in 3 hours, really professional job, and really good price! I would highly recommend for anyone who has issues coming up the Alcan.

We travel the Alcan for work in Oregon and Idaho and we always like stopping in Tok. Great little town with friendly people!

This is good town. Quite, slow life, communication. And people in here was so nice help each other. Let’s come to visit Tok Alaska.

This place was a real gem when I needed it. Touring on bicycle and living on a shoestring I struck out at a decent price on rooms or even a cheap place to lay my tent for the night. I found this place and walked in and was greeted by an empty hostel and an honor system to pay! As a cyclist being able to not have to deal with any hassle and quickly take a hot shower and relax was like a gift from heaven. Great accommodations, was able to relax and watch a couple movies and eat pizza after camping in the bush! Stayed an extra night as it was so nice. Was great really and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Just clean up after yourself and enjoy the stay!!!

Clean and quiet campground. Shared areas for campers/travelers are rarely seen in the US.

Amazing hostel! Did not expect to come across one here in Tok. Well maintained and hot water. Owner is a very nice person. Had to reserve through Airbnb

This hotel was quite cozy! Tye bed was comfortable.
Barbara went above and beyond. First, I left my bathroom bag. Was at breakfast and went back for it… then later in the day somehow my drivers license was found in the floor. She mailed it to my home address.
I highly recommend!!

July 12, 2022. We stayed at the Golden Bear Motel twice in the summer of 2022. Susie and Matthew are the owners and they are remodeling the hotel. It is wonderful! Clean rooms. Nicely decorated.
Highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were like brand new,it was so nice and peaceful, the hospitality there was so good I didn’t want to leave, great new owners took care of all my needs, I will be back,the best motel in tok..by far

Zimmer gross mit grossen Betten. Lage ruhig. Frühstück so la la.

Room was recently renovated and very clean and we will certainly stay here again. Only one recommendation…put a blind on the bathroom window. You can see directly into the shower from outside. Not sure if every room was like the one we stayed in but it was uncomfortable using the bathroom. Ended up showering with the bathroom door open as it blocked the window.

Staff was very friendly. I did not enjoy the room or continental breakfast. Room had stains on sheets, hair in bathroom. And it was bizarrely hot even with the heat off. Had to sleep with the door open to try and get cool. Cont breakfast didn’t have any meats or fruit, just some bread, cereal, and one yogurt. I have been inspired to just camp the rest of this trip. $99 a night gets people a very nice hotel in many parts of the USA. Not Alaska though. Which is a bummer. The natural beauty is the trade off of course.

We checked into the RV park and were met by a very nice young man. The price for full hookups was $35.00. Many of the sites had no working electrical but we took one which was supposed to have 30 amp service. It was only 20 amp and was inadequate our unit. We stayed but we’re disappointed that they charged us what they did and expected us to believe it was 30 amp service. No cable either.

Bed bugs were in the room, my stuff was being moved around, and not a pleasant experience

I stayed at the Golden Bear Motel. I scheduled several weeks in advance and drove and got to Tok close to midnight. You can drive 24 hours in the summer in Alaska. When I arrived I rang the door bell. A young heavy set man came to let me in. I told him I had reservations for the room with the single king. He left the front desk and then returned. He said that that room had been under maintenance and it was not available. I said, will put me in something similar. He showed me another room right next to a room where the door was open and there were 5-6 people in there talking loudly so I asked to see the another room. He showed me a room that was at the end. The floor creaked with each step which made the lamp shake that was sitting on the drawer. I took that room. I checked out the next morning and accidentally left my phone charger in the room which I called about the next day. The lady that answered the phone asked if I had checked out. I told her I did and turned the key in the previous day. She said the lady who took the key did not tell them. She said that they would check for my charger. I told her I would stop by the next morning for it assuming that it would be there. Next morning when I stopped by the man said that he would check the maids room to see if my charger was there. He came back saying that it wasn’t there. I asked him if he could check the room that I was in. he went to do so but came back saying that the room had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on it and asked if I wanted him to knock on the door so I asked him what would you do if you were in my position as my phone was dead and I had to get in touch with people as I traveled. He went and checked and said that the charger was not there. Long story short the hospitality for me with these people stunk!

They are the best. When I got Tech in tow, cause my car broke down they went the extra mile with reasonable rates. I would recommend them 100%.

On a road trip when my battery died! They put in a new battery for me immediately! Saved the day! Very polite and great service! Would recommend!

Car had electrical issues and need to change to new alternator. Job was well done but was unable to reset the warning due to some issue. Price was reasonable.

Fair prices quality work.

Took pickup in for tune-up, he replaced gaskets in headers and valve covers and spark plugs and wires. Replaced carburetor with stock one, $750 for a two barrel, never called me before ordering, could have got one for a couple hundred dollars. Did not replace fuel filter( dirty and gas line was leaking), did not replace pcv valve, so engine built enough pressure to blow valve cover gasket and leak on headers. Overall will not ever take anything to him again. Had pickup for three weeks while I was on foot. $1,500+ for a tune-up that doesn’t run until it gets fixed.

Great campsite. Nice tenting area, clean bathrooms, and a covered eating area. Also reasonably priced.

Great campground with lots of options for sleeping. There are tent spots, RV spaces, and a few pull behind campers you can rent too. Every sight has a wood grill to use. They even provide wood for it. Oh, and they really are the cheapest campground in the area.

Great campground, everything ya need at a reasonable price.
