Small shop at the back of Ghost Vapor shop. Paul is a real nice guy, knowledgeable, and helped me and my daughter select an used electric guitar for a first time beginner. It was nice not being pressured into more expensive stuff and I think we got a real good deal.
Great guitar tech service. I was very happy with the job done. Way cheaper than guitar center
Come see us for out of this world guitar repair service. We are family owned and operated. We pride ourselves on our customer service.
Really nice guys there, always a friendly smile.
Did some guitar repair work for me, turned out pretty good.
What a wonderful job Sylvia (Phillips) did during our sons service. She was so considerate to our requirements, we could not have asked for more….sounded amazing!!

Address: 4510 N Illinois St #3, Swansea, IL 62226 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Friendly, helpful and great service! Steve was very helpful in re-stringing an old violin and also very knowledgeable about classes and other instruments.
The best place to get instruments fixed and a very nice guy. Would recommend and he fixed it in 5 minutes.
They appear to no longer be in business.
Simply call to find out the brand of acoustic guitars they sold when I mentioned name brands the lady was set off very rude on the phone and hung up on me her name was Sharon
Do not put an item on consignment with this business. You will never hear from them again. Disgraceful business tactics + no communication regarding the issue. I will do everything possible to discredit this business.
The owners were rude and condescending. I got the impression that not EVERYONE was welcome in their store. They may have a large selection of music, but I’ll take my money and my dignity to other music stores.
6. Mojo’s Music
Address: 144 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Nice selection of guitars and amps. Phillip was a great help and a cool guy
I’ve purchased several guitars and gear from Mojo’s and it’s fantastic – here’s why. The staff actually knows something about the instruments and gear they sell. You can ask questions (even if you don’t really know what to ask) and they are patient and and knowledgeable. I was treated like they wanted me to hang out there, take my time – not just buy something and go away. I do my homework when I buy (I’m a bit of a cheapskate) and I’ve always been given great deals. I remember coming in to buy a specific brand guitar, on the high price end. The Owner asked me what I was looking for and actually directed me to a different model at a cheaper price! The best part was that he was right- the more expensive model would not have worked as well. I still have the guitar he sold me – it’s exactly what I needed. My friend wanted to upgrade his bass and had 2 bass guitars he wanted to trade in. The national chain said no, but Mojo’s gave him a great deal on his trade-in and a new bass. I just don’t get that kind of service elsewhere. I remember one instance when I needed a little help (my guitar was dropped), so I brought it in. The owner took a look at it, spent a few minutes making adjustments, and handed it back- fixed. No charge. I live in Godfrey, so it’s a bit of a hike to get to Mojo’s but it’s worth it.
Did have what I was looking for but customer service was extremely polite and helped me out.
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.
7. Trenton House
Address: 2 E Broadway, Trenton, IL 62293 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Excellent service and the food was perfect!! Fresh, creamed spinach, crab cream cheese stuffed perfectly cooked with tender crispy edged salmon topped with grilled asparagus drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Leftovers will be sooo good!!!
The all you cant eat fried chicken was fried to perfection! The service was excellent!
The food was good, the wait-servers were very friendly!
Great lunch’s. Home cooked style food, great service and reasonable prices.
Chicken seemed overcooked.
Be prepared to wait for over an hour for your food and it comes out wrong 90% of the time (either not how you asked it to be cooked or wrong items). My family and I have been here multiple times and it has never been a good experience.
Went there for Mother’s Day dinner. Dinner was bland. It was to say the least not the best food I’ve ate.
I love their food. However, they wouldn’t let us make a reservation. Then when we got there, they asked for our reservation, which I told them they wouldn’t let us make one. The guy was super rude and said it would be an hour wait. I would have stayed had he not been so extremely rude.

Address: 1507 N Main St, Benton, IL 62812 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Guy was very helpful, had some used merchandise that saved us a ton of money. Highly recommended
Had everything I needed in stock
Nice cozy little place and the employees seem nice.
The little unknown place with hidden gems!..
They seam to have what you need. In music supplies.
Has what you need when it comes to musical instruments needs..friendly service and knowledgeable..
Disorganized and everything is not priced with a tag, you have to ask him to look it up online in order to get a price. You may be there for an hour waiting for him to price each record or instrument you want. You will have better luck going to Guitar Center 20 miles away. Prices were not negotiable as well, just seems like a used music store should be more open minded to pricing and all.
Music store that appears to be run out of someone’s house. It smelled like stale cigarettes and was extremely disorganized. The guy running the place seemed to know his music but unfortunately I couldn’t handle the smell of smoke and was afraid that anything I purchased here would likely bring the smell home with me. Very friendly and helpful but this place desperately needs to be aired out.
Nothing in the store was priced. Took the time and found a stack of records I wanted to buy. He said he’d have to go on the internet and price each, one at a time. Gave him about 10 minutes to do that while I shopped. When I was ready to go, he only had one priced, and it was more than twice what it was worth on Discogs. The place was filthy and stinky. So, told him never mind on the records and I would buy the drumsticks and a kick plate. $16.09, fair price. Gave him a $20 and he didn’t have any change. Finally got so frustrated and just left. Don’t waste your time here.
9. Halpin Music Company
Address: 139 S Locust St, Centralia, IL 62801 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Amazing customer service and a plethora of knowledge. Neil and Ben are the best.
Home town music store.
Haplin helps us with our Patches and Pumper robotic dog on occasion. We take Patches to the city schools every year for fire prevention. They treat us very well and we appreciate the service.
Good prices
Average music store
The website says its open till 5 on Saturday not 3
Good stuff just could be better with details and price
I had to have my horn sent to Alton because this tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities. Had to drive two and a half hours 200 plus miles and no discount for a simple repair I will never use them again thinking about taking legal action.
10. Flatlander Sound Studios, LLC
Address: 502 N Market St, Mascoutah, IL 62258 , Trenton , Illinois , United States
Great selection of gear and had exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended, 5 stars.
I was wondering if you gave bass clarinet lessons?
This is an awesome local store with a good selection of musical instruments and the store has an amazing staff that will help you with any and all problems you have.
Very friendly and helpful. Nice to still have a brick and mortar music store in the area.
Had everything we needed.
Really nice people, just very overpriced
They sold me a violin for 2,000 and when I had it appraised the specialist said they cost $100 for a set of three. I will never do business with them again and I urge anyone to go elsewhere
