I’ve been a student at Dundee Music for just over a year and I have enjoyed every lesson. Dan, the owner is very personable and interest in my success. The store has a very good selection of music supplies for most instruments and quality instruments for sale and rent.

the customer service was terrible the man was questioning my purchases and ask why are you getting that. I was in terrible shock. Like why is he questioning what im buying? the man was very rude. I support local music stores but not one that have employes who are very rude. and thats the tea sis!!!!!
Talk about having a chip on your shoulder… I simply called to check if you had a book and was given the third degree for calling before you opened, which is at noon. (I called at 11:30). I asked how I was supposed to know that but got no answer. I’m glad that you have the book I need, and I like to support local businesses, but I’m tempted to just order it from Amazon and wait for delivery! My wife had told me that she felt very uncomfortable in there, and now I know why. Dude, go to a Dale Carnegie course or read a self-help book. Seriously!
Finding a music store that does not charge an arm and a leg can be a challenge! These guys are close and reasonably priced however the guy has a real chip on his shoulder and an attitude that makes me want to walk right out! Seems like crankiness is a problem for old guys who do the same thing for too long. Over all experience not so good. But if you need an instrument repaired you will pay more taking it elsewhere!
Had one of their cops literally tell me it’s better being tackled than shot, then proceeded to shine his light more into my face when I said I was prone to seizures. They need to retrain their officers, he was also extremely creepy and made inappropriate comments towards my friends outfit. (He flat out said your outfit looks hot) she was wearing a dress.
Great prices, very knowledgeable staff that teach you and answer your questions well, and great service. A local business that provides for its community exceptionally!
Also, pretty sure Michael is a virtuoso.
Just had my first guitar lesson as an adult. Great experience! Brandon does a fantastic job of determining your skill and creating a plan. These folks are the real deal, musicians both by schooling and passion.
Studied here for two years. Michael is the best.

The Blue Village Vinyl & Resale recently moved to 29 E. Chicago Ave., Westmont, IL 60559. The previous building on 309 Ogden Ave., Westmont area has been used to sell many entertainment products & collections over the years. It was REMEMBER WHEN store for many years until the owners retired. Next it was 2NDHAND MALL with the same type of entertainment products. Now it is called BLUE VILLAGE VINYL & RESALE with the same type of entertainment products available. The previous building had a lot of history. I go there to find good used or newer DVD’s or any entertainment products I need. There is a huge selection to find what you need.
If you like classic and old vinyl this is the place to go!

They do terrible business ..totally wasted my time. If u want to be disappointed then go here. I will never waste my time again!!!! Prices were rediculous for 2nd hand items as well …..NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

A note of thanks: Thank you to the helpful staff at Perry’s Music. Your place is old school where staff actually knows what they are doing and the prices are incredibly fair. Thanks Rob for letting me try out many different options. I’ve been to every guitar center and music store in Chicago, along with spending weeks of online shopping. It took one visit to Perry’s Music to know this was the place for me. They could advise, teach, repair, it’s like a home for guitars. I found my gem in the rough: 1990 GTX35. I would swear Dicky Betts actually played this guitar, that’s how good it feels. Thanks again, I look forward to my next visit.

My favorite music store, and they are still in business! I’ve been shopping at Perry’s for many years, and always get great service. They sell and rent good music equipment and instruments as well as buy and sell used equipment! They are also a total music shop that gives lessons to new music students. I recently realized that the last guitar I bought was a pain to play (why it’s been sitting in my storage for years.) I was asked to play it and remembered that I never got it professionally setup! I brought it in to Perry’s and it was done in about 2 weeks, in time for my first gig with it. It plays so great with no stress on my fingers anymore! Best money I’ve ever spent!(and it wasn’t that much!)

Very helpful and friendly guys here. Banjo setup took only a couple of days. Owner Rob Gurka and Jim Kraus gave me their undivided personal attention. I kinda wish I had more of an excuse to hang out and explore this place. I’ll be back.
Never open for business.
Wish I could leave a lower rating. We brought a guitar here to have some minor repairs done. Right off the bat it was an uncomfortable experience. We asked if he knew anything about the brand, he said no. We asked if, in his opinion, it was a nicely made or cheaply made guitar.. he said both.?? Then proceeded to tell us it was defective, even though he knew nothing about it, but he was more than happy to still charge us to do the repairs. He told us it would be ready in a couple days. Never called us. We finally called and were told, again, couple days. We went to pick it up and they had broken one of the pegs. Rather than replacing the whole set, or finding a matching one – since THEY broke a perfectly good peg – they decided the better idea would be to drill a new hole and put a completely different peg there. Even a different color. AND THEN CHARGED US FOR IT!! I wish we never stepped foot in that store. I’m writing this to try and prevent this from happening to anyone else. Oh, and the guitar was 10x better before we brought it in! Stay away from these guys!! I will say though, the kid behind the counter was very nice.
Went in yesterday to check out some guitars.Very comfortable and cool atmosphere. Nick greeted me and took the time to go over different options (Electric Guitars) comparing the brands and different styles.
I finally found the one I liked most that was within my budget and with great sound. Nick was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the products. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for lessons or purchasing music accessories

I love Offbeat I go very often and they always make sure I get the best deal possible. They are very friendly and they know a lot about musical instruments and such. They have a variety of unique items such as “Tank Drums” which are very cool and they have just about everything you could want musically. Go check it out!
Music store with a nice selection of instruments. Some vinyl and CDs too, although it has very few, if any, hidden treasures. 2 stars removed because the one employee and 2 of the customers were not wearing masks when I visited. I would have spent more time and money here if they were. Stay safe, everyone.

So many options to choose from. Even though I visited there to buy audio cables, you can tell it is a great place to be if you are a musician or technician.

I always stop in to see what’s available. The staff is super friendly but unfortunately for them very short handed like ALL the time. I feel awful for the staff every time I go inside because they seem overworked but they are still always helpful and kind. Last time I picked up this gorgeous PRS Custom 24.
Walked in looking to pay cash for an Acoustasonic. They refused to let me see one because I was not willing to let them hold my ID. Luckily there are plenty of other guitar shops in the area wanting to make a $2000 sale. Another great reminder why I usually steer clear of Guitar Centers!
Avoid Chris For Piano Lessons!
First off id like to say the the store and selection as well as the employees know thier stuff and are very helpfull.
My issue is with a lesson I just had with an instructor named Chris. It was a simple 15 min lesson that didnt even last 15 min. He rushed me out so he could sit and chat with his buddys. After the lession I left with little to nothing. Before the lesson I felt inpired, motivated, and genuinally interested to take lessons. Now, after the lesson, I felt discouraged, not inspired in the least bit, and want nothing to do with lessons from there. To top it off while I was practicing there was a drummer playing so loud I couldn’t hear the keys!
My wife on the other hand worked with Olivia for singing lessons and she did a phenominal job! She is very inpired to continue and built confidence in the little time she got.
But AVOID Chris!
Stopped by after work to look at digital keyboards. No one said hi as I walked in, no one offered to help. The store wasn’t busy at all. I didn’t need help actually but to not be acknowledged or a simple “let us know if we can help” as common courtesy? Was in the keyboard section for maybe 20 minutes. I left, walked out, no one acknowledged me either on the way out.ill have to buy elsewhere, feels like I didn’t look worthy of their time.

Bought a beautiful piano paid cash … husband walked out needed money for kids paid piano trends to sell for me they refused to answer or send money I even paid for them to pick up in same town for 300. Now and then they refuse to respond to me
