What a great shop. A large array of ukulele’s. No high pressure sales. Lots of friendly advice on which model fits your individual needs. Worth the drive from Waikiki
Although I arrived at this location after closing time, I was able to visit their store in Honolulu, a fantastic experience, highly recommend!
2. Koʻolau Guitar & ʻUkulele Co
Address: 401 N Cane St a10, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Most excellent customer service, with awesome selection of ukuleles.
Honest people, good advice.
Not exactly a store but they do make custom ukuleles and guitars. I went there to get a single bridge pin and they gave me one for free refusing payment. Nice and friendly people!
3. Music by Kainoa
Address: 34 Westervelt St, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Chuck James music school is great. My son and I have been attending for over a year now. It is my dream to become the lead singer of a band and my vocal teachers have been great. I started off with Emily who was a classical vocalist and pianist. She taught me a lot of technical skills that helped me improve my vocal ability. Now I have Ginai who is a local singer is well known in the Hawaiian music scene. She is teaching me all about performing and stage presence. My son began as a vocal student but wanted to switch to piano. He is always talking about how great his piano teacher, Karen, is. He says she’s a great teacher but an even better listener. Chuck James Music School has teachers who are passionate about music and it shows through their teaching techniques and the bonds they build with their students.
Great place for music lessons.
I highly recommend Chuck James Music School. I’m an adult learner who took up the violin for the first time in my life, I found the instructors to be absolutely wonderful. They are very professional and understand how to work with beginners. I’ve been very pleased with my progress and would recommend CJMS if you’re looking for a great music school!
7. Lightworks Recordings
Address: 540 California Ave, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
The owner is wonderful she’s very pleasant and helpful.
The owner was really good to me explain everything to me how things work
I went in the woman working the counter was kind and took the time to work with me and search the value of my item and gave me a fair deal. Good business all and all.
Lame!! Looks worse than the eBay store in the movie 40 year old virgin. Looks like all they sell are extension cords.
I called to see if anyone came in with my sisters guitar and the lady acted like someone did and asked me to explain it, she then told some guy to pick up the phone and he asked me if he could help me, I explained and he then said I’m not sure I’ll have to check, HE THEN HAD A LONG CONVERSATION WITH THE LADY & I OVERHEARD THE LADY SAY $600 or something and then comes back on the phone & say I CANT TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT THAT and hangs up on me!
These people are rude as hell. Don’t even waste your time.
10. Hi Supply Smoke Shop
Address: 550 Olive Ave, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Very friendly & know a lot of information about their products
This is the BEST shop by far on Oahu! They have the BEST products as well! Gerald is the man! Not only was he well knowledged and informed and answered ALL of my questions, he was also VERY PLEASANT and Compasionate as well!! I highly recommend everyone go visit Him! If I could give it more stars I would!
The only glass shop getting my business is these guys right here. The owner (Ryan) and employees give you an instant family vibe and are all very knowledgeable about their product. Laid back people. I broke a fair priced chillum I bought there when I was hand debowling it the day after, they gave me a discount on the next one so I bought a nice glass pipe and a grinder as well. This the only shop I would recommend hands down 5/5 stars. Thanks Jared!
The staff here are always on it, they ask you right away if there’s any thing you need help with, Angus everyone is very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I always shop here and I highly and deeply recommend HI Supply for all your needs!
Service was acceptable. Nice variety of items.
So I like all the glass bongs and pipes they have but I have gotten 2 grinders form.them where screen has popped out and that has never happened to me before will not get any more from them
Kind staff, fun finds from all around the world, great souvenirs and a wide variety of things! Fun to stop by and grab Coffee at their sister coffee shop Surfers Coffee too!
So I read about the shop in one of those “best of” type articles and we detoured on our way back from the north shore to stop in.
This place is def a hidden gem! Lots and lots of selection, prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for Hawaii, and the lady who runs the shop – which is a non profit with a mission btw – is chasing and helpful.
I think this is going onto my regular list of stops when I’m on the island, such a great little place.
Like walking in to a multi faceted time & places, as one looks, item by item…here and there, this way & that way, to be sure…,
Cute shop with cute selections.
Cute place for various antique items. Great gifting for friends and family with an eye for the rustic side of life. Some things seem functional, most are great decor in the right context. Prices for most items seem pretty reasonable.
Parking available right in front on the main street, or behind the building in a lot.
Pretty obscure, varied selection. Lots of books on various stuff in the back though. Kind of a tense vibe inside from the two women working there. Would pass on my next visit.
This isn’t quite an antique shop by my standards. A lot of “new” things from local people making up for the lack of inventory. Gals who were working didn’t seem all the friendly either.
13. Redbox
Address: 135 S Kamehameha Hwy, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
The service was excellent I like the people there although I couldn’t find containers for my cereal it was great thumbs up wahiawa Goodwill
It was ok.
Clean and friendly staff. Scored an awesome Moana christmas tree
Kind of pricey for a donation store! But some of the other things are great deals!
Not a big fan anymore, everything is over priced. I refuse to pay $10 for a used shirt at “Goodwill” when I can go to Macy’s or JCPENNEY and pay the same or less for a brand new one. Atmosphere is ok, people that work there don’t seem like they enjoy working there. I don’t understand if everything is donated they feel that is ok to over charge costumers, I quit going to all of those thrift stores a while back and I don’t recommend them to anyone.
Doesn’t have much …. Everything is extremely used and place is almost empty
Screw this Goodwill! The prices on the signs are NOT the prices of the items. It’s just the lowest possible price. They go up from there. Avoid.
15. Surfers Coffee
Address: 63 Kamehameha Hwy, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Great coffee, excellent customer service, and the mochi waffle is delicious! You can also order in advance on the Joe app and skip the line.
Amazing atmosphere and even better coffee. Great place to hang out and do homework. They also offer a military discount!
Good coffee. Nice little space to drink and eat. A little expensive
Jesus this place is good!
First time here and I have to say that I like it. Coffee tastes great and is cheap. Great relaxing and comfy atmosphere to hang out, do work or homework. Employees there are all volunteers. I would rate them 5 stars if parking wasn’t an issue. Street parking is a challenge and back lot parking is limited. I’m glad STN had changed this part of town and made it better. Back in my day, the back area was known for drugs and prostitution. Definitely will go back as long as parking is available.
Sorry but the Americano was burnt coffee and the iced green tea lacked any ice. The place has a weird vibe to it and i wont go back there.
Waited for a long time for a pour over. They ran out of the coffee I selected. Didn’t inform me until much later. Wasn’t even that busy with 2 staff members behind the counter. No eye contact or smiles from counter service. Very unfriendly. Not welcoming. Poor service. Pastries were dry. People at antique and surf shop next door were much nicer.
This used to be my favorite coffee shop on island, and I’d visit every day. Something happened in the last few months where prices went up, sizes are smaller, and orders take FOREVER. I still find myself waiting 10+ mins for a coffee order i put in before i left my house.
I am only leaving this review in hopes that the situation can be rectified, as a year ago, i would have said it was the best shop on island, but not anymore.
16. Redbox
Address: 925 California Ave, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Kids had fun with the pearls but a real workimg farms should be just that
Bueno es todo
They asked what kind of sauce we wanted for our four-piece McNugget, and my wife said “ketchup.” To classify ketchup as a sauce, you apparently need alllllll the packets. All.
Why have a dining room hour of 2200 when you guys constantly close it down early? Just change the dining room time frame.
I want to eat real food, and McDonald’s does not have that.
One of the few fast food restaurants in the area that does not offer military discount.
18. Hawaii Cheapest Vape Shop – Wahiawa
Address: 10 Kamehameha Hwy, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Friendly staff, clean space, lots of inventory.. definitely saved $ there even if I live in Waikiki where friends own there own vape shop, but there prices are double & I got to save $$ there by $15 bucks..
hope they add discounts for returning loyalty customers.. it’s a great marketing tool.. would love to promote it, as I’m always referring my clients to get great deals in Hawaii’
Very well stocked store and great customer service. Rich was very helpful getting my first vape setup and was very knowledgeable. Way cheaper than any other vape shop!
I passed by this place all the time. I’m a new resident to Wahiawa and the customer service was awesome. Very helpful. Not sure what I really wanted to get. She pointed at some and I bought it on her suggestion. I’ll definitely be going back, it’s clean, lots and lots of selections and great prices
Good variety, most staff is friendly and helpful but parking is a nightmare
Rude staff that work there. Won’t be going back again.
Usually love coming here cuz the employee are knowledgeable on the products. Well I went in looking for a new device and I picked out the Caliburn GK2 Pod System. I asked the young lady behind the counter if it was a dedicated pod system or if it was coil based and she told me it was a pod based system. So I purchased three additional pods. It wasn’t until after the fact I purchased it that we found out it was actually coil based. The young girl was nice enough, but she started talking about how sorry she was and how she thought it was pod based. No worries. I asked if I could just exchange them for coils instead and she said no because all sales were final. Now I’m a bit annoyed at that point because I went based off of what she told me. She was nice enough to give me a discount on the coils because she said she messed up, which is cool I guess. But what about the fact that I’m now stuck with three empty pods and down an extra $18 for no reason.
Two stars because she was nice and I didn’t want her to freak out, but come on. As someone who used to work in this industry, I can tell you first hand that you need to know everything there is to know about the devices you sell because if you end up telling the customer the wrong thing and they end up purchasing a device based off of your knowledge (or lack of), they’re gonna end up walking out with stuff they don’t need with no way of returning it and that’s just gonna piss them off even more.
I’m not too happy about kicking out extra money for useless items that I purchased based on the employees lack of knowledge on the device.
if it was possible to leave 0 stars i would this place is really bad and has super poor management do not spend your money here
19. Sawada Store
Address: 132 N Cane St, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Reloaded my grandfather’s reel while I waited. Great service and prices. Good to talk story too.
Nathan is my buddy cool guy
This is basically an old fashioned fish and tackle store. I go there to change my watch battery, very reasonably priced
best kept secret…owner fixes watches n fixed my Post Civil Wall marble clock…pendulum now works, KEEPS accurate time, chimes on the 1/2 hour 1x, and ON THE HOUR with accuracy. Cost is very low.
20. The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center
Address: 435 Kilani Ave, Wahiawa, HI 96786 , Wahiawā , Hawaii , United States
Small little store. Friendly employees. Always manage to find a deal!
I always love going to the wahiawa salvation army! Great customer service as always! Love Claudette, Ronnie and Mikey! Their always consistently awesome!
Dont really like the white haired old lady that decided she wanted to take my personal items from my shopping cart in hide in the back and even put some of my things on the shelves. After she was told by all the other employees to NOT touch MY things. And the items she took out of MY cart were EXTREMELY sentimental to me because they belonged to my deceased boyfriend that just commited suicide this past January. Luckily with Mikey, Claudette and Ronnie’s help, we recovered most of my items. The items that meant the most to me and were irreplaceable were all recovered. I don’t know what I would have done had I not recovered his things that day. I found that womans behavior appalling. Can’t think of any other word other than appalling. I was extremely emotional when it all happened.
Charlotte was wonderful when I came to drop off a donation today. Kind, respectful, and most of all cheery! Greeted me and was grateful I donated to their organization.
Always friendly staff.
Some good deals on used furniture here. I always donate my used but good stuff here. Get a receipt for tax season!
