Piano lessons for our daughter were great! Always friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff!
Been shopping at Blues since 2002. Good people.
We go to Blues Angel Music to get all our instrumental needs and music lessons. The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful and supportive! We admire how they support the Pensacola Community. We have also met many kind and friendly patrons when we are at Blues Angel Music.
Very helpful staff….. wish they had a larger selection of music……
I love the people at Blues Angel! Always professional and friendly with great service. I live in Fort Walton Beach but always enjoy the BA experience.
Those are great people with great service!!!
The folks who work on the sales side of BAM are great, but the repair shop has continually failed to deliver service for my bass amplifiers. I have two Ampeg combos that have needed work over the last couple of years. Most recently, one would not power up, so I dropped it off on 2/3/20 for repair. The staff member at the counter said it may be a could of weeks, as they were backed up. I said that was fine. When I checked on it two weeks later, the amp was still sitting in the same place I left it. Apparently, BAM sublets their amplifier work to another shop, which the staff member did not mention when I dropped it off. So I waited longer to no avail. When I went to pick it up to get the work done elsewhere (on 3/18/20) I was treated rudely and given no apology for the lack of service, only the comment, “Yeah they’re pretty slow.” My prior experience with a different Ampeg amplifier was at least sufficient (they fixed it), but they broke off a knob while it was in the shop and would not reorder a replacement. In both of these experiences I gave BAM ample time and patience to resolve the issues, but they were either not able or willing to do so. We don’t have a lot of choices in P’cola for repair shops, but BAM is not the place to go.
Side burns guy is weird and mean, made fun of my friend because he was new.
This store has been around for a long time, I have gone many times and have purchased quite a few pieces of gear. The last few years though I have received terrible and condescending service from the employees, especially Jacob, blonde hair with glasses. Jacob has actually tried to talk me out of purchasing items on several occasions. When I bought my PRS he asked repeatedly why do I need a full scale? Why would that matter, I’ve played guitar for years I know what I want, that is why I picked that guitar, “NOT” because I want to be questioned by some music store clerk. Thanks for your condescending opinions Jacob, because of you this business has lost a loyal customer…

Love this place!! Especially the customer service.
Awesome place!! Loved it!!!
Great selection very neat and clean
Little expensive for used dvds BUT I buy all my VERY hard to find ones here
Nice place. I drive from Niceville to Pensacola for school, so I thought I’d check this place out. Interestingly, they have lots of new 90s and newer stuff within their Rock section. They have enough music, they could so with breaking it up into Soft Rock, Hard Rock, etc.. they do have things marked as 3 for $10, which is nice. They have a small cassette section also. Found some goodies in there.
If you’re willing to spend the cash on brand new, sealed, remastered, 180gr vinyl, this is the place for you.
Great place to get your old vinyls
I just want to make everyone racism still exist. I do business with a lot of people and I decided to check this one place out called the “Music Box”. I called before even going in. And when I arrived I was questioned about who I spoke with as is it was a no colored sign on the door and one of the jerks behind the counter even told me not to even take my records out because they are not interested and begin to repeat himself while my boyfriend was talking to the other guy who was trying to help. I will never step foot in this store again or even recommend anyone.
Went to the store during normal business hours and the door was locked. Looked on Facebook and called the store number, there was no indication that they would be closed. I took my lunch break to go browse the store so, I guess I wasted it. The store looks super cool so, I hope I can swing by one day in the future.
I’m very impressed with the layout of this store. They have more than enough items to view and purchase. The BIGGEST negative this place has going for it are the main reason you would go here- the prices. Man, everything in here overpriced. You are better off getting your CDs on eBay. Their prices are so high that every item wanted to purchase could be found cheaper anywhere else and that’s including the shipping. This place is like 25 years behind the times on pricing. Used CDs should be cheap, not full retail price when they were sealed.

I have two kids in high school band. Although we have several music stores in our area, we’ve been driving over an hour to visit Schmidt music for years now. That should tell you something right there. Their repair service is excellent and they’ve done quite a few adjustments for us on the spot, free of charge. On the sales side of the house, no pressure. They let us try out many mouthpieces and horns and no one pressured us into buying anything. They’ve even gone so far as to suggest online places if they didn’t have something that we needed. Hands down, the best music store in the area.
Quick repair today…..clarinet playing high notes only….was adjusted and was able to go back home with it! AWESOME!!
Fantastic store and repair shop. Performing an excellent service to music and the arts!
This is a great shop with friendly staff, but sometimes the wait is too long.
Mid. Just kept getting charged month after month for a violin that got used, maybe seldom. A phone call or check in would’ve been nice.
Knows there stuff easy finance.
But expensive.
Too expensive
They said “oh we can’t fix your flute because it is a hunter we don’t work on those
Bought a clarinet from them for 1,111.94 was on sale originally 1900. A year later tried to trade it in. They offered 75$. They services this clarinet as well. Upgraded mouth piece. Long story short bad customer service owner wouldn’t even talk to us. Said he had lots of inventory but we saw none in store. Went to Schmitds and they offered a fair price for this and gained a customer. They were extremely nice. He said he gets a customer a week come in mad at these guys. 75$ smh.
He was very professional. Had a phone conference before hiring. The website is easy to navigate to choose music and set timeline. He arrived early to set up. There were some issues with the outside ceremony music but it was quickly resolved. I had a lot go wrong that day and I had to make a lot of last mi cuts changes to the preset up timeline. He was flexible and able to accommodate those changes with ease. The preacher had to cancel last minute and he offered to do the blessing. I enjoyed his music selection although, he was able to figure out what I wanted even though I was very vague on what I wanted. Highly recommend.
Charlie was our wedding DJ and he killed it! We had a beach wedding with the ceremony just over the dune from the house and reception area. He brought his main rig out for the reception, and had a little Roland Cube battery powered amp to play music for the ceremony and a mic plugged in for us. Everything sounded great and the price was right! Great job Charlie! Thanks for helping to make our special day that much better!
We hired DJ Charlie Barnes for our wedding reception. Best decision ever! I was very indecisive and had a hard time choosing any music for the reception. Charlie kept the music going and seamlessly matched the progression of our party. Even though my “schedule” was totally thrown off, he made sure to check with me throughout the event to make sure everything was done how I wanted. Thank you Charlie, for making our big night so memorable!
7. Leitz Music – Pensacola
Address: 1921 Creighton Rd, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Warrington , Florida , United States
Great store. Massive amounts of top grade guitars available. Employees very helpful. The only downside is the entrance. Definitely not for the handicapped.
Great selection of acoustic guitars
Very reasonable folks they have all my business..
Pricey, but they’ve got it all
They can’t quite get the same prices as things you find online, I understand that competition level is very hard to match but these guys make tringas music look like a joke.
I think the idea of needing to have a dealer’s license to sell certain guitar brands is completely unamerican and unnecessary but I’m thankful that these guys are licensed Ibanez dealers seeing as tringas is not. If you want a $5,000 Gibson or a whole store of nothing but high class Blues equipment then go next door. If you want a reasonable selection with a little bit of everything and good prices then go here.
My autistic 6 yr old daughter just started Piano lessons with a very nice woman who operates out of a music room in the back of the building. She was very friendly and I love her teaching methods so far. I rated 4/5 because Ive only had one lesson so far. My daughter loves her.
Remember when is better!!
Manager Rick is nice to work with, but E.C.King is so rude that my son & I will never go back. Saturday 7/1/23 we walked in as a nice older couple bought 2 guitars, but I guess King thought they talked too much because after they left King railed on them for 10 minutes, while my son & I were 5 feet away, made the place seem really negative. Then he was rude to my son about a pedal, and made rude, snide comments to me even though we were being nice and I was at the counter buying a Telecaster. I literally couldn’t believe my eyes and ears, I’ve never seen a guitar store employee act like that, and I’ve been in a lot of guitar stores. Seems like some serious retraining needs to be done at Leitz Pensacola. We saw the opposite at Blues Angel, nice helpful people, and we bought a great guitar there— that’s where we’ll be going from now on.
I like to support local businesses and buy my guitars local. But being turned away because of not wearing a mask when The CDC even says it ok to go with out a mask is down right bad business! Every other music store including “Guitar Center” no longer requires mask. I was coming in to buy a les Paul standard 60’s that I have been saving for and was looking forward to buying today but because of your mask policy I will order my Les Paul online. Sad thing is I liked your store. Just thought whom ever runs the place should know what their dumb mask policy is costing them.

Real cool dude sat down talked to him nothing but good energy.
Great quality recordings and a fun atmosphere. This is a great place to get your music ready for release at a low price!
Comfortable atmosphere.. Benny Hue puts you at ease so you can get in your element and really Vibe.. I was impressed with the Beats, production and mixing , I Came out with a Radio ready song. Most definitely will continue recording at introvertical.!

Always entertaining here! Sales floor staff should open their own shop. It’d do well.
WOW! I had a great experience at the Guitar Center. The technicians completely serviced my bass while I was there. I purchased a Fender practice amp. Everyone was courteous and professional.
I’m Always Disappointed to See Only Mid-Level to Low End Guitars In These Stores. They Never Carry The High End Guitars…
Always the same ol G.C. Be nice if they had a few more mid/high end basses.
Didn’t have my guitar picks-checked put the acoustic room but none caught my eye–
Only one guy that worked there was helpful. I rate easily a 2 star. I’ll stay supporting the local guys. Blues angel music.
I made a trip from Mobile, Al to pick up a pedal. I called ahead to make sure it was in stock. When I arrived the manager couldn’t sell me the pedal because it was on police hold, information that could’ve been shared with me when I called beforehand. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.
Customer service was terrible. No selection, and little knowledge of the product I was trying, but didn’t buy. Keep catering to your garage band children and “guitars make me look cool” customers. It’s an awesome strategy.
The only place in Pensacola and surrounding areas you should trust for your recording needs or music lessons. Not only are they highly talented and skilled, they’re just downright awesome people. Check them out, you won’t be sorry!
Professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with
This is one helluva couple! Whose fun-loving, yet professional environment will make it hard for you to leave. The quality of sound and work rivals with the best of them, so prepare to LOVE your experience!
15. Spirit Record Inc
Address: 1603 N 58th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32506 , Warrington , Florida , United States
Unlike other thrift stores, this one has their items reasonably priced at about 10% of the cost of the item if purchased new. Example: shirts $2; jeans $2; gift bags 10-25 cents; knickknacks 25 cents – $2. With low prices, the merchandise is constantly changing and the place doesn’t get cluttered. The ladies who work there are delightful.
Been coming here the past few years. What a neat place, and always something cool to find.
The sweetest group of people. They were all very welcoming and friendly.
Very well organized, I would have walked out with some purchases, but didn’t see hand made signs on the inside of the entrance door, and the register that is cash only. I spent about 45 mins, and I left items and walk out.
People don’t carry cash anymore. If you want to hold a business in 2022, you need to keep up with times. Maybe the your higher council can take a pay cut so you can properly up hold modern day business.
This thrift store over charges on donated items I’m sorry a pack of cars that retails for five dollars should not have an eight dollar price tag on it when you paid nothing!

Love Nate! He can fix anything! Plays a mean guitar. Thanks for all the help!
Always helpful and friendly. Thrilled with my guitar adjustments and setups. A great resource for all your music needs. 5 STARS
Nate Smith at ARC is all you need for anything music related, whether it be musical training or equipment and parts. I’ve been taking lessons with him for 4.5 years and have purchased my second guitar there and I can say that he’s definitely looked out for me and many others who want to gain something from him, whether it be knowledge or equipment. If I need/want something not in the shop, he’ll go out of his way to get it in no time. You will not be disappointed when you come here.
I’m honestly shocked at all of the good reviews this place has. This is a guitar shop, not so much a versatile music shop as I had originally anticipated; and they let that be known as soon as I started to inquire about flute accessories and information. The guy was unfriendly and short saying, “we really only work on guitars here” and seemed disingenuous and annoyed that I was even there asking about stuff for a flute. I’m appreciative that I was able to leave with a little something of a cleaning kit but, I have never felt so unwelcome in a shop like that before and will not be going to this “music store” again. They should probably change the sign to “guitar store” in the near future to avoid anymore awkward, uncomfortable encounters.
19. Ron Kaye’s Music Instruction
Address: 4696 Kimberly Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526 , Warrington , Florida , United States
Ron Kaye’s Music Instruction has been a great place for my son to learn to play Ukulele. Everyone is super sweet and patient with my son. They have helped not only teach my son how to play music but has given him a whole new confidence! If you are looking for the best music lessons make sure to check out Ron Kaye’s Music Instruction.
I have only been working with the Kaye’s for a short time, but it was very apparent to me early on that they really know music and have a great passion for teaching it. They bring a very down to earth approach to teaching and always made me feel welcomed! I would highly recommend that anyone interested in a quality learning experience contact Ron Kaye’s for lessons!! Thanks Josh & Mrs. Kaye!!
Been taking lessons 2 years now since I got down here for flight school. Recommend to everyone and anyone! Great family. Students: Taking lessons has helped me get through flight school as it’s a stress reliever. I call it my therapy 🙂
This place is the pits! They are more interested in making money than teaching the kids how to play an instrument. My son took piano there, but yet was never able to play on a piano – only on an electric keyboard because they don’t want to spend the money to have the piano tuned. Also, he was small and needed to use the bathroom and they refused. We had to take him to a store to use the bathroom. The place is dirty and in an unsafe area. Mr. Kaye is a total jerk and has no people skills. Their recital was a joke. Don’t waste your time – find another music teacher.
