Fred Dove does a fantastic job. I have used him for several years to maintain the Roland RD-700s and RD-700xsās in the keyboard lab at Hoover High School.
Great place to get your organ fixed
Excellent Service
They are going out of business
3. Warrior Antique Flea Mall
Address: 8089 Rouse Rd, Warrior, AL 35180 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Organized, clean, brightly lit. Good selection. Friendly, helpful staff.
Good to explore
Everyone can find something they like.
Prices are rather high for all items that are not antiques. Not wheel chair friendly overall. Many booths are cramp.
Do you need stuff? Old, new, borrowed, blue, homemade, storebought, hand me down? These folks have it and a lot of it. Something for everyone!
Pretty good place lot of variety
No pets allowed. Since they dont allow pets, I donāt allow them any of my money. Go up to Cullman to a place called, Highway Pickers for a better experience that welcomes all shoppers to 3 floors of antiques.
Prices are way too high for some of the junk they are trying to sell
Disappointing

5. Warrior Family Store
Address: 319 Main St N #105, Warrior, AL 35180 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Great prices and a range of antique household products, furniture, tools and decorations.
Great and the same for the people at the warrior family store.
I give you guys an A+ for sure.
I Love this store if anyone needs decoration flowers this is the place to go
Found some cool stuff. It is maxed to the brim so not much space to walk through.
Enjoyed my time there wonderful service
Good stuff
Well this store is not that great its full of junk And things are stolen like tvs n jewelry and more . And a big thing she is a so called landlord but will bot fix anything and she wants to kick a family out of a house because she does not want to fix anything and does not care about the family in any way and she says she a Christian but forreal she just coveing all the bad things she has does to ppl and and the wrong doing at the so called thrift store she runs and sells things that are stolen and the law will not do any thing to her because she has her hands in every one pockets ā¦.
The staff was very rude. I was sent there by a close friend of Joan McCarts & her daughter April was very, very rude & ugly. She didnāt have to be that way. Iāll never go back there & donāt recommend it to anyone.
Nope.
6. Innovative Music Concepts
Address: 233 Garden Dr, Gardendale, AL 35071 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Wonderful service ! First time coming in today to buy reeds for my son who has started beginner band. They had just what I needed at good prices ! Staff knowledgeable to know what I needed. We will be back when we need more reeds and supplies. What a great store in Gardendale !
this place is awesome. Super friendly staff. If you need a guitar set up or repaired they also do that for super cheap and great work.
Great place to get youāre guitar accessories with helpful staff
Friendly staff and good service for a small buisness . your go to place if you dont want to drive a 100 miles to Guitar Center store .
Great local guitar store. Eric does a great job running this store.
Nice small business. Very helpful.
The people are nice but the stuff you buy here is garbage.
I went in yesterday and asked about a Gretch open back banjo on the back wall that didnāt have a price tag. The reply I got from the bearded gent behind the counter was ā I donāt know, probably $300 or somethingā, and then he walked away like I didnāt exist. The vibe I got from him was āI dont want to help you. I wonāt help youā. I buy a LOT of instruments and spend thousands of dollars per year on all sorts of music equipment, but this store has shown me that they donāt want my business and they arenāt interested in having any sort of customer care. I didnāt want to go to Guitar Center anymore, I would like to buy from a local store, but Guitars and More has discouraged me from doing any business with them. My advice to other customers is to go elsewhere. They donāt want your business and they donāt deserve your business.
8. Dollar General
Address: 865 Thomas Rd, Warrior, AL 35180 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Good place to go but the lines are always so freaking long
The store was clean and well organized with a large selection easy to find what you need. The cashiers were kind, and courteous ALWAYS willing to help you locate an item.
Itās standard
Terrible customer service!! Shelves never stocked and no matter how many people r in line only 1 register is open
I think they find the most stupid people and give them jobs only place I can go have a line to the back and only one register open with the manager staring at you poor management ,not clean , again the staff are jokes and this is a place that I dred going if I could give zero stars I would
The store is extremely crowded and the parking lot is so hard to get in and out of.
9. McDonaldās
Address: 100 Cane Creek Rd, Warrior, AL 35180 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Slow service, Iām sure it has to do with low staff,so the executive committee at McDonaldās needs to fix it on there end or bye bye profit
Very busy during my last visit. The wait was acceptable considering how busy it was. Order was correct.
Price is high for what you get
Ordered a number 1 with a coke they got the whole thing wrong
Had to wait 30 minutes for my meal!!
Service was less than hospitable provided by teenage kids who were too busy cutting up to remember our fries. All the food was old/cold. I had a fish fillet meal with a hard bun, and a barely frozen frappe. My partner had chicken nuggets and after his first bite, his comment was, āThese chicken nuggets are old.ā Itās a shame, too. We were traveling and starving.
10. Dunkinā

Attentive employees and super helpful. I tried a new flavor and hated it so they exchanged it for me.
Very sweet guy! Made an awesome frozen mocha!
They have good doughnuts but the service is not
The place is very neat, and the service is also really good.
so clean friendly employees
Canāt take an order via their own app
Came by on Sunday evening 7/11. Got caught in all the rain driving there and arrived at 635p. Doors were locked so went through the drive thru only to receive no response. So, we drove around to the window and was met with some rude and disgruntled young guy. In his best poor attitude he told us they were closing early, despite their closing time listed as 7pm, because it was only two of them working. He then abruptly closed the window on us and walked off.
Honestly terrible. I wouldnāt even let my dog eat the food they serve here. Everything is frozen and the coffee tastes like toilet water.
11. 419 Vinyl and Blanks Warrior

Wonderful customer service, very helpful, quality vinyl, great selection in vinyl and blanks, and just all around wonderful experience. Most definitely will be shopping at 4:19 again.!
Absolutely love this store!!!!
Always have the color vinyl I need, always have the color shirts I need, and always willing to order more
Love the different colors they have in t shirts
Lots of antiques
Ok
I donāt recommend this place. I have been here a million times literally. I go every week to make purchases. Since the new owners have came, they give nothing but attitude. I wish I knew the lady by name but I donāt. One of the women there is really nice. But I usually come in contact with the bad attitude one. I purchased a shirt that I was told would be in the next day from the Warrior location. I drove 25-30 minutes to go back to Gardendale and get the shirt the next evening only to find out the shirt would be in the next day (2days after). I had already paid for the shirt. The lady told me well you could go to warrior. I said no I will not drive that far when Iāve already drove far to pick up my shirt from here that I already paid for in the store the day before. If the shirt wasnāt going to be there the next day they shouldāve said that before I paid my money. They refunded me. But I will be reporting this business because I donāt appreciate the smartness and attitude the lady have been giving since they started owing the store. When she was giving the refund, she told the other girl to give me the money. I guess she was mad she had to give my money back. I have done business with this place and itās no telling how much money Iāve spent in the there and I donāt appreciate the unprofessional attitude.
I also told them I would just order it from somewhere else because I needed to have it ready for a customer the next day. She told me I donāt see how she gone have it the next day. I just purchased it from Buy Buy Baby and itās ready for pickup today! Thank you

Address: 9218 Bradford Trafford Rd, Pinson, AL 35126 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
This shop is great. Jason set up my 2006 D18 V with a new bone saddle & nut and got everything dialed in just right. She plays and sounds fantastic.
Iāve been to the store twice asking about repairs to my violin. Bob was very kind and offered honest advice. Recently I went back and met with his luthier (a year later). He, also, was professional and gave excellent advice. I highly recommend this shop. In the future, all my bow rehairs will be done by them. Great people!
Knowledgeable and friendly. Loved it!
Friendly atmosphere and lots of instruments.
Good product, Good service.
Iāve never dealt with someone so rude over the phone. The owner tried to guilt me with sarcasm and acted like victim when I questioned a price. Full story: I asked to order a cello string. All was going well (owner answered questions about speed of shipping and availability of the string), but then he quoted a price ($81) that was far above what other shops charge. I said respectfully that āIāve purchased the string for $45 at other walk-in shopsā and he became sarcastic and argumentative with me, claiming he was āholding my handā through the process, and said āWell, I have to pay $35 for this string so what do YOU think is fair for ME to make? $15? What is 35 + 15, huh? Ohhh, maybe $50 is more than you can afford?ā A simple, āwell this is my priceā would have been fine as a response from him, but I felt disrespected so I hung up and decided Iām never going to spend a dime Homewood Musical Instrument Co. I advise everyone else to steer clear of this shop and the guy who owns it.
15. Redbox
Address: 10115 Corner School Rd, Warrior, AL 35180 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
We walked in, and were immediately greeted and seated for a haircut. The owner is a extremely nice down to earth Barber himself. The hairdresser he employees, was super professional and relax my child to the point where he almost fell asleep. This barber shop has a terrific atmosphere, and the pricing is fair. Itās the only barber pole on main street, and I would recommend this place to anybody. Weāll be going back as regulars.
They did an amazing job with my head shave and beard trim! My head has never felt smoother!
Amazing haircuts, and clean fades! Atmosphere was extremely inviting and the main man has a hell of a sense of humor! Great place for a precise cut!
Lines of my cut was really bad had to go somewhere else to fix it
I would leave this guy zero stars if possible he jacked up my sons hair so bad I would not recommend him to anyone ever.
4th time Iāve came by when it says they are open and nobody here. Hard to get a haircut when the doors are locked
17. Artās Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
I canāt say enough about Arts music store. I recently started playing guitar. I purchased a new left handed guitar from Arts only to find out later that just because I am left handed does not mean that I should play a guitar left handed. The awesome staff at Arts became involved and really went above and beyond to help me get a right handed guitar. I want forgot the way you helped me and I will remain a lifetime customer. Thank you very much!!!
Went in for parts to a 100 year old antique baritone. Woman in there named Hannah was awesome and helped me replace several items. Answered all of my questions and was overall awesome. She could probably fix anything that came in that door and I wouldnāt hesitate to go in if you need a repair.
Very helpful but the instruments are pretty expensive
Attended a Breedlove Guitar Showcase. Artās Music Shop in-store acoustic guitar lineup includes Breedlove, Michael Kelly, and Yamaha.
Big
No help prices to high
Was in there for 20 minutes with my kid and wasnāt even acknowledged. Tried to get their attention but employees were in a rather long discussion with each other. We are now at Bailey Brothers which is a block away so we can purchase a bass guitar for my son. Customer service actually exists at Bailey Brothers. It does not at Artās. Such a disappointment. We had heard good things about them.
Be a good place for a music shop that sales and buy instruments but they canāt do anything but sale with out the manager so if u need to sale something donāt go here
18. Ron Partainās World of Music
Address: 1914 Cogswell Ave, Pell City, AL 35125 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Great hometown music store. Extremely friendly and helpful.
Awesome
The definition of southern hospitality, they are knowledgeable and help you find what you need for your budget.
Nice place. Good selection conveniently located.
Large selection!! Beautiful instruments!!
Itās a shame places like this will be going out of business soon. If they would have what I needed or was interested in like certain pickups or more interesting pedals and better guitars this would be an awesome place the last time I went in there the walls were filled with Nashville guitars and they had a couple good electrics but literally every acoustic guitar hanging on the wall was a Nashville guitar and I was looking for a Taylor or Martin but Iāve never seen anything like that in that store I go there to buy picks and strings but thatās only because they donāt have a guitar store in Talladega. When they donāt have pickups I need they asked me if I want them to order it but in this day and age I can just do that myself and get it for cheaper because looking at the price of the looper pedals theyāre not buying them wholesale theyāre buying them straight off of a website and marking the price up.. The people are super nice I hate giving a three-star review but Iām just being honest.
I read reviews for this shop and thought it was an honest place to sell my gear. I walked in with an Epiphone AJ 220, with an Epiphone molded hardshell case I bought seperately, and an Epiphone āSnake Pitā 15w practice amp. ALL in like new condition. She plugged the guitar in and it was only the fourth time it had ever been plugged in. I never put the guitar in the case without wiping it down first. Look everything I listed up for yourself, and youāll see what I lost. I messed up and let the lady know that I was in dire need of money for my family. The old guy asked where I bought it, and when I told him, he said heād lost alot of business to āplaces like thatā. No. I looked around the shop, and all he had was used gear that had been repaired and put up for sale. Junk. My guitar was the nicest instrument there! The reason heās losing business is because heās trying to sell junk and beating people in need out of what their instruments are worth. The lady acted like she was on Pawn Stars! If I hadnāt had needed the money really bad, I would have told her where she could stick her $200! Thatās all they gave me for everything I brought in. Look up the items I listed, and youāll see I did my part to support this business! The reviews I read must have been friends of theirs, because they definately misled me. Not fair at all.
Walked in today to look around and from the moment I walked in the door, the older gentleman (I guess the owner?) had his eye on me and was watching me like a hawk, made me feel unwelcome to be there. He asked if I was looking for anything in particular and when I told him very politely he didnāt have what I was looking for he arrogantly told me āI opened this store in 1973 and everything you see in the store is priced the same as youād get it onlineā like ok bud I wasnāt complaining about the price you just donāt have what I was looking for. When I told him I wasnāt looking to buy today, and was just looking around he made a sarcastic comment about āwell if youāre not buying, we can just put this back on the shelfā ??? I continued to walk around and look at some more product and he continued to watch me like a hawk until I got in my car and pulled out of the parking spot. All of my musician friends have recommended I donāt frequent this store, and I can honestly say, after that experience, I will not and will tell anyone that asks not to either. Lousy excuse for customer service.
19. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 4673 US-280 Suite # 7, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
This is the only location in alabama that sells Fretlight guitars. They range from beginner to pro.and the whole neck lights up with ledās to teach you how to play.
I canāt say enough good things about my experience with Bailey Brothers. Iāve dealt with every staff member over the years. The service and the product is always the best. I appreciate the professionals that work here and recommend anyone looking for an instrument to look at Bailey Brothers first!
always tough to leave this place without bringing something home. Great selection, awesome staff.
This place is awesome, need customer service? DONE! Need a repair? DONE! Need to place an order? DONE! The only thing I did not like was the lack of extended range instruments. You will not be finding fanned fret, 28 fret, tap guitar, etc. You want those go to WARR guitars or order them off of a musicians website.
Helpful and kind! Will be back to see them soon.
Great customer service. Great selection. However, I was NOT thrilled to see their logo custom printed onto the snare head I bought. Would have received 5 stars if not for that. Going to remove it with some acetone.
I would use profane language, but it would not adequately describe the crap this company pulled. Basically, I took my brother to trade a PRISTINE first-owner amp, and we could prove it, in for a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, used, which is of equal valueā¦.and my brother coughed up $100.
I took off work to take him to initially buy the thing. I took off work to bring it in for repair when we discovered sticky crap on the power tubes, and I ended up working until 10PM thanks to these guys. They wanted me to take off work again, after having spent 5 hours in their store. I basically spoke up and said, he might be the customer, but Iām the wheelman, and Iām furious. I mentioned the fact of the wasted gas, wasted trips, and the at least 6 hours of driving they were expecting of me.
They checked OUR amp out very thoroughly, and even treated my brother like a criminal, saying they are getting his DL in case he stole it. SERIOUSLY peopleā¦.
I tried to talk some business sense with them, asking them to do something for the trouble, and it would not have taken much. They said no. Then I asked if they can just reverse everything since ALL of the stuff was still in the storeā¦. The guy made up a story of a law, which actually doesnāt exist, then claiming he has to charge extra to reverse it all. Guitar Center evidently doesnāt know about this (fake) law.
Not ONLY that, but the smug, d-bag attitude that the guy gave me when pushing my brother, his CUSTOMER aside to say āyou donāt think weāre trying to rip you off do you?ā He did this to put me on the spot, and tried to make me look like the bad guy.
In the end, my brother spent another $170 to get a new model. In the end, he got what he wanted, but we are both appalled by how the guy behaved to our faces. Beware, their used gear has NO warranty, but they represented at sale that they would ensure the gear works if something went wrong like the day we get itā¦ Wellā¦ it did.
You donāt take someoneās $700 amp + $100 and then give them junk, and not try to do something proper after dragging someone thru hell. Thatās the bottom line. I tried more than the guy at this store. You wonāt catch us in that place again.
Considering the tens of thousands that my brother spent with other companies, Bailey Brothers missed an opportunityā¦ Not good business. Dishonest, rude, and outright condescending. Smiled at us when we expressed our frustration with the runaroundā¦.
This place is as good as, if not better than, Guitar Center. But this one man that works there is not the friendliest and makes me and my music buddy never wanna come againā¦ I was gonna buy at least $20-$60 of stuff, and my buddy was gonna get his guitar worked on, but we decided against it after our experience today.
My friend and I were playing our guitars together at moderate volumes. No louder than the other customers that passed through. Our volume knobs probably were set around 1. This rude clerk guy came up to us and told us āturn it down, there are customers in hereā. When there was maybe 1 other guy in the guitar room at most. What are we, trash? Are we not customers?
Though to be fair, there was a little kid who sat behind us who was louder than both of us combined, and he was tremolo picking the most random nonsensical annoying noise (future shredder?), but he shouldāve told the kid to turn downānot us. We both turned our amps off because he was rude the last time we were in the store and we were pretty annoyed at this point. But the kid turned his amp down and continued the random picking and the dude immediately came back and said āhey, okay, turn it off, thatās enough for todayā and took the guitar from the kid. The rudest music store clerk weāve ever encountered. Thereās another guy who is super nice that works there who let us turn the volume upāat least 2 or 3 times what we did todayāand test every amp in the store. We bought a $2,000 setup from the nice guy in the past, but this rude guy would probably kick us out of the store before we could make a purchase. I didnāt catch his name, but heās average height, blondish, his hair is thinning, and he had a short beard. A nicer worker told us heās been there 3 years, though Iām not sure how heās lasted that long. Heāll probably follow you around like youāre a thief and ask if he can help you 8 times like he did to us the last time we came in the store simply to buy a cable.
Recently brought a used instrument to these guys to be cleaned and conditioned. They charged $230 and Iām not really sure what they did beyond $40 worth of repairing. I even priced the individual parts myself and they cost a total of $23. The instrument was very dirty and they didnāt even do a good or complete job of wiping it down. We didnāt get any paperwork explicitly stating what they were going to do so we canāt really argue the point. The inside of the instrument wasnāt even touched during cleaning because there is obvious dust and grime that was there when we gave it to these guys.
We also bought a mouthpiece for the instrument, I previously priced it at $10 online and it was $35 at this place. An outrageous markup.
All of this was after agreeing to a monthly payment for an instrument only to be informed the day before it was needed that they didnāt have any in stock so we had to scramble to find a different option. Because of this, they also didnāt send us a cleaning kit for the instrument that had been fully paid for.
I will be looking for another place for any other instrument needs.
20. Highland Music
Address: 3000 Clairmont Ave, Birmingham, AL 35205 , Warrior , Alabama , United States
Still the place where musicians can hang out and be āunderstoodāāit really is a special art form, and these guys that run Highland music know their stuff. Theyāre also very Community oriented in terms of letting you know whoās performing & where. Their music history and Birmingham history knowledge really is pretty vast.
Iāll never go anywhere else!!
Local luthier and New/used instrument business. They are kind and will help you find what you need!
Staff very knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back Monday to see if I can trade my mandolin for an acoustic electric guitar Iāve been looking for.
Hard to imagine this town without Highland Music. It seems like itās been here forever, and it impresses on so many levels. Need a tech? See Harold. Need a custom-built amp or guitar? They can fix you up here. Want a new Fender or Gibson? They have that. Need lightly used gear? It abounds here. Strings, parts, accessoriesā¦all the stuff you need, they have. This is THE place traveling musicians stop by when they are in town, and thereās a reason for that. You should shop there, too.
Great selection of guitars. Staff is knowledgeable !!!
Letās just say that my kind aināt welcome
Wonāt ever visit again! No greetings, no nothing. I was in the store about ten minutes and no one ever acknowledge it. I was referred to this place by the guy in Homewood music shop but he couldāve saved the breath he use cause nothing was worth driving to this store for!!
Tried to get my guitars worked on here multiple times. First time was an 8 string, guy said āI donāt like black guitars they scratch too easilyā and then rubbed a cloth with steel wool fibers over it and scratched the guitar. GEE I wonder why! Had a pickup swap done on another guitar, put a scratch on it that went through the paint. Not only that, but he took it upon himself to do a full āset upā when I did not ask him to now I have buzz everywhere and it plays worse than it did before, then charged me for it. Oh and the pickups are also out of phase. Sorry, but thatās it. No more chances. Goodbye.
