3. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4644 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
Very satisfied with my k-240 purchase, learned about having open back and closed back headphones in my home studio situation
Very friendly staff and excellent service, during my visit I asked about lessons and the staff was very informative. I highly recommend this music store to anyone who is in search for a good selection and service.
Very positive atmosphere at Sam Ash! Lots of great people who are willing to help! 5/5!!!!
Estuvo muy bien, limpieza y distancia, escasea algunos artículos pero conocemos la situación
Wide selection of music instruments and accessories. Reasonably priced.
Place must be going out of business. Excuses that manufactures are out of stock when everyone clearly has stock.. trying to spend my money local but whatever.
I was shopping for cymbals. I went to the section and looked around while two employees were at the drum section checkout. One of them was practicing bouncing drumsticks of the counter.
Neither asked me if they could assist.
I saw an item I was interested in, but decided not to purchase it do to being ignored.
I will never shop there again.
Felt like a going out of business sale not a lot of options on anything but the bathroom was clean
Not much acoustic guitars in stock.
4. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 912 Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
Great service, thanks to Javier for helping me with buying a Marshall. Well stocked music shop.
I love shopping at Sam Ash!
“Kid in a candy shop” is an understatement. This is a musicians dream store. The selection is endless and their down to earth friendly service is impeccable, especially Daniel, I’ve never met anyone that knows everything about everything. I came here 4-5yrs ago 1st time and it instantly became my go to place for all my music needs which includes: piano, brass, PA and recording equipment.
3 stars
I best describe my experience as a Sam Ash, ‘Tale of 2 Cities’.
As a reptired healthcare administrator and disabled US Marine who uses music as physical and mental health therapy, I give Sam Ash an overall score of 4 stars. The Lee Rd store definitely is about customer service. The E. Colonial store behave like a bunch of rude, used car salesmen.
Mike manages the E. Colonial store but is too busy to deal directly with the customer. While negotiating the sale of a discontinued amp M Caylor came back with someone claiming to be Nick, Ops Mgr. Nick was neither jolly, nor saintly. Instead of greeting me, he went to the amp. He didn’t smile, shake hands or show any respect. He was rude and stormed off.
Conversely, Lee Rd is about customer service and building lasting customer relationships. I purchased a new Fender fretless bass at Lee Rd that had been on display. After a couple of issues, I returned the bass and it was replaced with a brand new Fender bass fresh out of the box and conditioned on the spot by Joe.
From henceforth, if Lee Rd doesn’t have it or can’t get it, I’ll shop Amazon or Guitar City.
Went in to buy reeds. Took me about 20 minutes to get a box of reeds and then checked out. I was patient they were busy.
Not a lot of gear options. Online has more choices. But the staff is very friendly and has much knowledge.
Dropped off my ukulele there for a broken bridge that just needed to be glued back on, was told it would take 3-4 weeks, after 3 months with no update I called them to check on it and was told they had to order a special clamp and it would take another month to come in, after another 3 months with no contact from them I called back and was told they were still waiting on the clamp and couldn’t give me an estimate on how long it would take. At this point I decided to pick it up and try another music store, only to wait around for 30 minutes while they searched for my case because they had lost it, when finally found they told me it got mixed into their regular stock and was sitting on a rack to be sold. The wait time I can excuse, as how quickly a part comes in isn’t their fault, but the lack of any updates on their part and the fact they lost and almost sold my case is insane, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and definitely have no interest in ever doing business there again. Also took it to guitar center after and they told me they could do it in 2 days total, so yeah, forget this place.
I buy most of my equipment from American musical supply but i needed and adapter and headphones so i made the trip to your store. I was looking at the adapters for what seemed like a long period of time and not one person asked if I needed help. SO I grabbed the headphones and went to check out and the guy at the check out made a comment on how he did not make commission and was deciding on who to give it to is when I said no one because not one person asked me if I needed help. So i went home and ordered it online and it will be at my door tomorrow by the time i get home from work. Wont go back unless it is something I absolutely have to have right then.

A+ Customer Service –
Purchased a Module that I could not find anywhere else –

Amazing experience purchasing a Eurorack module from sunset synths! Super fast shipment and very friendly customer service, which goes a long way in my book
8. Band Room
Address: 3233 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando, FL 32806 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
My friend uses the valve oil from here to grease his tuba. He is very satisfied with the product and enjoys it. He’s swore to never buy valve oil from anywhere else until his last days.
I love it. Rudy the guitar instructor rocks. All the people there are friendly and supportive.
I absolutely love the Band Room! They have gone what I would consider over and beyond to assist me. The staff is friendly and highly customer service oriented. At first contact I did not feel like a customer I felt like family. Thank you guys so much for going over and beyond to assist me.
Okay.
My daughter and granddaughter came into this store and were met by a woman who told them in a not so friendly way that they couldn’t be in the store without wearing a mask. Which is no problem at all and they were more than happy to do so, however not one single employee was wearing a mask! And they had all the instruments hanging up so high no one can reach them. My granddaughter is in her school band, plays the flute, violin and ukulele and the treatment they got in this store should be a warning!
Im renting a trumpet for my son 29 dang dollars every dang month and if u pay late they charge u 10 dollars
Band Room did not send me the instrument we signed up for. They did not contact me to tell me that the instrument was being changed without my consent or knowledge.
9. Guitar Center
Address: 12402 S Orange Blossom Trl Suite 1, Orlando, FL 32837 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
I came into the store to return a damage item that I ordered online. Michael was very kind, helpful, and patient. I would definitely come back and recommend for someone to come. If you need help, ask for Michael (Drummer)
Nice job and very nice service with Javier from PR. They gave me good prices. The Church ICAV from PR is very happy.
Lo mejor para audio y sonido.
Exelente lugar para ir a comprar artículos de música hay de todo los artículos
Muitas opções de instrumentos musicais e acessórios, porém preços poderiam ser melhores para acessórios
Great place tu buy gear, if you want for snares, go for it
Beyond disorganized. Keyboard section had merchandise scattered across floor, nothing was plugged in, and even when it was, the speakers were blown or the display merch was broken. Guitar center has become an absolute joke
What a disappointment! I’ll explain why: I needed some stuff last minute for an activity I was having next, they advertise you can buy online and it’s available for contactless curbside pick up at the store which I found it was convenient and I won’t have to wait. I placed my order and it was ready in about 1h 30mins, while I was waiting I decided to buy something else and I understand that the second order was going to take another 1h 30m from the time I purchased the item. I received an email saying my first order was ready and I went and got it, no problem! Still waiting on the second order. Never received and email saying it was ready and it almost closing time so I called the store to find out what was the status, the guy who picked up the phone was very cool and he explained how the process work, that the orders come from Corporate and when they get it they prepare it and send the notification to the customer for pick up, at the end I was not able to pick up my item the same day how it was advertised. So i was like, ok, maybe it will be clear next day and I’ll still have time to work it out, I kept refreshing the status of the item and it went from store pick up to ground shipping. I’m assuming the item was not available and they had to ship it to the store, fine! For that I would have bought the same one I found on Amazon for $30 less, but ok. Here is why I’m leaving this review on them, my account says the Item was delivered to the store last Thursday 4/30/20, i placed the order on Tuesday 4/28/20, Today is Monday 5/4/20 and STILL haven’t received a call or an email to pick up the item. I have emailed corporate, tried to chat with customer service, called several times and NOTHING. Not a single soul available to help, I understand we Are going thru a pandemic but if you can’t offer SUPPORT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE then you shouldn’t be selling anything online.
Came in with the intention of buying a keyboard. Nobody came up to me and asked me if I needed help. When I was able to get somebody’s attention he seemed uninterested and did not care to help, he barely answered the questions I had and then walked away. After asking another employee who then really tried to help and answered my question, I was not able to buy the Yamaha keyboard because they ran out of power supplies for it. NOT HAPPY with the service today, leaving disappointed at some of the employees attitudes and store’s inventory.

I likr tacos they have great food here but i would say or suggest that you get the breakfeast sausage becase its better than anything ive tasted with my taste buds ever before go here every day #musicalfood
Bought an alto sax and guitar from here a few weeks ago. The staff was extremely helpful and even honored a sale that wasn’t supposed to start until the following day! Loving my new instruments and the positive vibes I receive when I think about my purchase experience.
Friendly staff (Nico) had exactly what I needed and hooked me up with new strings after I bought the guitar. Everyone else I called was rude, but he was very helpful.
Would give them 5 but their shipping sucks
The staff was very helpful in answering my questions even though they didn’t have a Cello my son’s size in stock it was a very informative visit
Pretty good little shop. Friendly staff. Does inhouse lessons. Mainly focused on school band instruments.
I’m giving 01 star because I can’t give 0 stars. I ordered a Yamaha digital piano online on June 3rd. It was supposed to be delivered in 07 business days. After more than 02 weeks after the order, I hadn’t received the piano and not even any message from the store giving me any position or estimated date for the delivery. It wasn’t even possible to track my order. I started sending emails to costumer support, to no avail, I always received a standard message informing that the piano was already in backorder. Almost one month later and many messages after, I received an email of an employee saying they would check with their Supervisor, which, would check with the Order Dept. about the order status. After two days of waiting I had not received any updates of the situation, and they stoped answering my messages. On the 1st of July, almost one month later after the purchase, I called customer support. The assistant gave me the same standard message: “The piano is still in backorder, with no estimated delivery date”. This made me extremely upset, and I decided to cancel my order. I felt extremely disrespected by this company, mainly due to them not informing at the time of purchase that it would take so long, and by the complete lack of support and information. I would definitively not recommend this store to anyone.
Even of you email them they won’t tell you how much it is to put some simple cork on a clarinet. They’re going to make you go all the way to the Damn store so they can over proce you.
I signed my daughter up for beginner violin lessons and out of 8 weeks of lessons 3 were cancelled – one of them we sat and waited for 25 min before they said the teacher wasn’t coming. I understand that emergencies happen once in a while but it turned out to be way more of a hassle to try to schedule make up classes or get my money back. Very unreliable and disappointing.
Also many times I was told I would receive a phone call about make up lessons or refunds and I always ended up having to reach out to figure out what was going on. Would not recommend for their lessons services!

I took a 1927 “The Gibson” Banjo to get a new head and Bridge….. I love this place! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the hybrid instruments they make. It provides an interesting timbre to whatever sound you’re used to hearing. Plug their mini bass in an amp and it sounds like an upright. Very innovative products.
A great factory run by a family dedicated to the business of making world class instruments. Thanks Wayne and Robyn!
Needed a zero glide for my Martin guitar. When I called I expected them to ask “Which one? 1 3/4 or 1 11/16?” Martin only makes two sizes.
But they hemmed and hawed…
Finally I drove to the place in Titusville. And they hemmed and hawed and couldn’t find one that matches my guitar.
Well, okay… I build mandolins and I’m not a stranger to nut files and sanding blocks. But when the young luthier wanted me to just take a blank and cut it from scratch I finally said hold it.
I took one that was close, modified it, installed it and have to say if you are not highly experienced doing guitar set up, don’t try it. You need all the tools you’d need if you were making a new nut from a piece of seasoned bone, as well as fret nippers, fret files, and sanding and polishing supplies.
That said, after installing it, my guitar sounded awful: dead, boring, lifeless. My wife was appalled. She wanted me to put the old nut back on. But the action was slightly better, I was tired, and I decided to do it the next day.
What a difference a night made! Don’t know why, strings settling in (whatever that means…) Who knows… But when I picked it up the next morning it was amazing. Balanced, smooth, solid intonation, loud, my wife thought I was playing my OM-42 instead of my 000-15.
It seems to improve each day a bit. Now I’m bummed, going to have to go back to Titusville and do it all over again with my D-42.
The one located near me is one of the hardest places for person in a wheelchair to get in and shop.
Warranty repair was incompetently performed or maybe poor on purpose because after they repaired my guitar, they put in a new saddle and it was for a LEFT handed guitar, not right like I have. The action was so high no one could play that guitar without cutting your fingers.
Dropped off a Les Paul guitar to have pickups swapped and input jack changed. 10 days later the work had not even been started. Picked up the guitar and will do the work myself. I have a 50 guitar collection and @ $200 each to have work like this done they LOST $10,000.
This guy is a scam… He sent me a new banjo with chrome chipped in 2 places and a bad fret. All the “we use professionals to set up every banjo” is a lie. Not one professional in the place.
He won’t honor the warranty.
Don’t buy a gold tone

Extremely helpful with great prices. What he doesn’t have he’ll order for ya.
Not only do they have an incredible selection of guitars and equipment, they also have brilliant music teachers in Rob and Trent. My son has been taking guitar lessons with Trent for a couple of months now and has come such a long way. He is extremely encouraging and patient with him. Look no further if you are in search of a wholesome hobby for your children or yourself. It sure beats being glued to a screen! Thank you guys!
I had been looking for a guitar that was lightweight and a little smaller to suit my needs right now, but still had great sound. I decided on a Taylor mini – e. I looked at many reviews and videos online before deciding what brand I might like and Taylor seemed to be the brand I felt good about buying.
I wanted to be able to actually play the Taylor Mini – e guitar before I would ever buy any guitar. as each one has it’s own individual sound & feel depending on your particular ear and how the instrument feels to you.
I went to Taylor’s website for an authorized dealer and this is where I saw R&R Guitar store in Longwood Florida. I also wanted to shop local.
I called and spoke to Rob who was very kind and helpful. I was especially pleased to learn that he had many of the different wood options in the style mini e I was interested in, including the Mini -e Koa Plus, in stock for me to select from.
I can’t say enough good things about how pleasant Rob made my experience. The store is very nicely laid out, clean and organized, with instruments beautifully displayed on the walls. I had a hard time trying to decide which one I liked best of the Taylor Mini-e’s as they all had an amazing big sound which I found surprising for this smaller sized guitar. Rob was very helpful in any question I asked and also set up an amp. so I could hear the difference, as the “Koa plus” came with a different pick up, than the other regular Taylor Mini-e’s
Ultimately after much time on my part I decided on a beautiful Taylor’s GS Mini – e Koa plus. A big thank you to R&R Guitar and Rob in making my purchase a great experience. He went the extra mile to be sure I was happy with my purchase. I can’t thank him enough. If you are looking at buying a really nice guitar or just have questions or even in need some of the extras’ that come with owning and playing guitar, I highly recommend this shop. Whether you call or stop in to buy or browse, he had a nice selection of brands & they also had a nice big selection of Ukuleles. If you can, shop local, it will make you feel good and it’s always good to support your local small businesses..
Replaced strings of my daughter’s guitar. Did not tune at all. Poor communication. Was on the phone while checking me out and had difficulty asking / answering questions. Stated would clean up guitar that had been in storage but wasn’t touched. Took several days to replace strings. Would not go here again. Poor service
14. East Orlando School of Music
Address: 650 N Alafaya Trail Suite 112, Orlando, FL 32828 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
This place is so great. The staff is wonderful. From Paul helping to coordinate with my busy work schedule to the snacks in the lobby, I feel valued as an individual. Maddy and La Von are so kind and helpful. Adam and Jessica are knowledgeable instructors and also enthusiastic with helping you achieving your musical dreams. The entire environment just feeds musical creativity. I feel accepted as I learn and challenged beyond what I ever dreamed could be possible. I’m so thankful that I signed up for lessons at the East Orlando School Of Music.
I’ve been going to this school for more than a year and had great experience! That was my first time having singing classes and I learned a lot. The teachers are very qualified and the place is really nice, good whether you have skills or just starting out.
My son is pleased with his lessons and pricing is doable..
very unprofessional
15. Atlantic Strings Violin Shop
Address: 750 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
I went in to purchase a cello for my grand-daughter and Michael was very helpful and kind and patient, he made the process easy.
Everyone is friendly and helpful at this shop,
Atlantic Strings Inc. in Melbourne FL. Thank you.
Love them
As always knowledgeable staff! Wonderful owner, very helpful. Always have what I need for my kids instruments in stock!
Very friendly and patient. They were very helpful.
What you’d expect from a decent luthier’s shop. The prices on strings are a bit exorbitant, but they are way better than Shar. Nichol and Lexy are amazing at what they do! Also, they have amazing music!
Nice local shop. Staff were very helpful showed me several violas.
This was my first experience with Atlantic Strings. The ordering process didn’t go well, as well as the packaging/delivery of my order. I sent emails to the Melbourne and Orlando stores describing the problems. I received a call from Samantha, sales manager in the Melbourne store. She was very apologetic and immediately sent me the receipt I’d been requesting. She also promised to speak with the people in the Orlando store to make sure their online orders are handled properly and customer service is is improved. Thank you Samantha.
Very expensive. Crazy
So im editing my review at first I gave a great review but after being cow on for the second time I have to change it. The first time i buy viola for my kid, I was offer a shoulder rest and a rosin on the house and part of the deal in buying a voila, I didnt ask for it was offered to me. I thought nothing of it.
In fact i though that was pretty nice of them until it was time to pay. They ring me up and tried to charge me for both items that they offered me as free and part of the package. I ask what was going on, and ther responded with “oh we can’t add these items” and proceeded to charge me for the items in which I had to stop them.
A couple of weeks later (today) I bought the shoulder rest and rosin, again offered 5$ off if I left a great review, I also asked if there was a military discount, first they didnt bother to find out if there was a military discount, they brushed that off and then didnt bother to give me the full 5$ discount as promised. I hate being lied to and i really like when people or businesses cant hold their agreements. So they get two stars. In my book! Friendliness means nothing if you cant kept to your words
16. Music Store inc
Address: 141 S Highway 27 Building 159, Citrus Tower Blvd Center, Clermont, FL 34711 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
I bought my LP Studio from Music Store Inc before they moved, got a really good deal. I just found out they opened at a new location behind the Citrus Tower. Lots of nice instruments, definitely worth checking out if you need anything music related.
Great customer service.
Rick was warm & friendly & it seems to have a nice stock of instruments. Tucked in the corner of the Staples building so it’s easy to drive right by without seeing it. Very little sheet music for vocalists so if that’s what your looking for don’t bother. They have an open mic night every 1st Saturday so I will come to one & see what it’s like.
Left them guitar to glue the neck, the estimation was way above market, that’s OK. I’ve decided to go to other store but during pick up I found scratches here and there. Lucky me-made a video when I did bring a guitar the 1st time. I am just disappointed- waste a month and no result. They did polish and removed scratches (not all as I found out in another store). Not a bad store with various instruments new and used, I even bought a bass, but I do not trust their guitar master. Rick is a good guy but the master is a 3rd party that occasionally appears and takes guitars home, where I guess and damage mine.
Helpful, knowledgeable, affordable
Their pricing is ridiculous. $250 for a used Ibanez acoustic that’s missing the electronics? That guitar sells for $350 brand new!! Also, after reading the reviews, I would bet $100 that most of the 5 star reviews were made up by the owner. Absolutely pathetic.
I am from out of town. LOVE stopping at music shops, like most of us do, as music is a passion/hobby. I’ve PURCHASED 2 guitar pedals, a preamp, and a microphone from this guy before…. Always enjoyed chatting the few times I’ve stopped in. Seemed nice. Assume he remembers me when I walk in, typically.
I was in town again, so I stopped in to see what they had. Asked him a question about an expensive guitar out of curiosity and he said, “Ah, well, the only people that would ask that are from another store.” Then gave me a smug grin like…. as if: “caught you”
Seriously?.. seriously?! Shove off. I WILL NOT be back, and I’ll take my cash elsewhere. You dont offend customers by claiming they must be spies from other stores because they asked a question. I’m not a SPY. I’m not a “Music Store” traitor*?, criminal of sorts, as you insinuate. You must be insanely paranoid judging by that comment! This was not a joking tone or anything.
Literally, I will NOT be back. I always carry a pocket full of cash into music stores in case I see something neat, as I love to collect. But I will NOT be back to this unsettling, SUSPECTING establishment whom thinks negatively of a guy patronizing their business.
More time to hit up another store I haven’t been to I guess.
I waited for 45 minutes for this shop to open on 6.6.17 [20 minutes beyond announced opening time! They lost two sale items to Amazon!
17. Brand O’ Guitar Company
Address: 1920 Dolgner Pl, Sanford, FL 32771 , Wedgefield , Florida , United States
Gino and Lisa are 2 of the nicest people you’ll do business with and their products are high quality!
Great family company that supports non profit organizations! Professional and quick turn around.
We’ve requested several guitars from Brand O’ Guitar Company over the past few years. They’ve always been fantastic to work with. They provide excellent service and are very good communicators. Plus, their products are so fun! They’ve even gone above and beyond to help ship guitars across the country for our tradeshows, making sure they get there on time. Keep on ROCKIN’, Brand O’!
Shane, Nico and Mark went so above and beyond from the minute I walked in the store. I bought a electric guitar and they explained everything to me. So helpful and friendly. I did have a problem with it after I got home, the fret was bad. Mark worked hard to find the problem and was honest when telling me it could not be fixed. They ordered me another one and had it within the 5 business days. I will surely be going back. Thank you all for your friendly an honest attitude.
Super nice staff, helped me pick out a new amp. Even gave me some band suggestions to look up. Will come back again.
The staff is always friendly and willing to help
I’ve purchased two guitars from here so far. They don’t have a huge selection, but the prices are reasonable.
The 2nd one I got from this store was on clearance and they even knocked some off that, giving me a better deal than I could have gotten online for the same guitar,
It going to be cool
They would not return some unopened items we purchased while trying out an instrument. I had to return for a manager and push to get some of the items returned. All I wanted was credit toward a different instrument and even that was a challenge. Make sure you want to keep what your buying.
Signed up for first time lessons a few weeks ago. When I showed up for my first lesson, the instructor was out of town. No one seemed to think it was important to notify me. Got a refund for the lesson, fine. Show up for my lesson the next week but they were double booked. Obviously there are communication issues at this location. If you’re going to sign up for lessons then I recommend verifying your appointment via the phone each time.
My child and I went here first before going to another local music store on recommendation. I dont usually post bad reviews but thought i must for anyone else having their child starting band. This place will try and pressure you into trying to buy whatever it is they have to sell for the week. the employees are rude and wont give you the time of day if you are there with just questions. not to mention the arrogance felt from them. save yourselves the time and find another store.
I ordered online for a Baritone rental in mid October while they were doing the Trial Period which was only going for $1 for 2 months. What was supposed to be a week wait turned into an entire month long wait! From October 17th order I put in, I did not get the Baritone until November 21st. I called roughly 2 weeks after I put the rental order in and one of the employees at this Sanford store told me he never got the order, but yet when he looked up my order number, it showed up for his store. He then preceded to make me feel like I was causing him trouble because I decided to put the order in online instead of ordering it from them directly. He also mentioned that he might of accidentally given it away to someone else. He then put the order in for the Baritone to ship to the store which yet again took another 2 weeks and allegedly he had been calling my cell phone after ordering it to be shipped to the store and leaving messages that it was ready for pick up, yet I never received any calls or messages on a phone I’m constantly on all day everyday. After I go to pick it up, he tries to sneakingly charge me for the current rental price which would of costed me $71 instead of the $12 I was quoted had I not stopped him. On top of that, he did a credit check on me which he found out later after calling corporate that he didn’t have to do that which ends up screwing my credit. The rental was supposed to be $12 for 2 months but he said I can’t do that because the trial period is over even though they’re the ones that screwed up with me coming in this late and are only honoring the $12 for 1 month. If all that wasn’t bad enough, I come home to find out he actually gave me a Euphonium instead of a Baritone that I ordered. Never have I had to deal with such absolute garbage service from any business. What was supposed to be a month and a half long practice for a Drum and Bugle Corp audition turned into only 1 week for preparation. Be Extra cautious when renting with these people. Had I not had previous rental experience as a worker in car rental, I would of been screwed out on a lot of money. Only reason I haven’t rated them a 1/5 is because they do more than just rental and I like coming to this store which is pretty close to me to purchase any parts needed for my instrument or books for Music Theory Classes and Studio Lessons.
