My best friend just landed and said take me to Guitar Center! I thought he was joking. We went in and got a great deal on an electric guitar. I’m now challenged by him to learn how to play the guitar. It’s a fun place to meet other musicians of all levels who are learning a new instrument or making sure that they upgrade. It seems the Guitar Center is a hang out for artists and DJs so I’m very interested in keeping myself in the mix.
Great service
Friendly staff and huge selection. This is not just a guitar store either. They have lots to choose from including DJ gear, drum sets, keyboards, etc…
I like the store but miss the high end guitars they used to carry.
Go there because I have to for things i cant buy on line or elsewhere. Customer service is horrible every time.
After hanging out for 15 minutes in the percussion section without anyone being there to help me, I walked out to the front and asked the three people sitting down if anyone could help me in percussion. They all looked confused and there was an awkward silence. Then, one of them said to the other two, do you think Jeff could help him? Again, another awkward silence. Then one of them muttered, “where is Jeff? We can never find him.” They then said “we will find someone to help you.” I walked back into the percussion section for another five minutes and still no one to assist. I finally had enough waiting around and walked out. On my way out, the three people I had asked to help me where yet again sitting at the front door. Is this what business has become? No attempt to assist me or ask me if there was something they could do. I had a very simple question. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere!
The guy couldn’t helped me and the second one was impatient to help me.
3. BOBB’S Pianos & Organs
Address: 1583 N Military Trl A, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
A wonderful, very accommodating company. I needed a grand piano to perform at a memorial service. Due to complications, the piano had to be brought on an earlier date and picked up at a later date. Bob’s Pianos and Organs agreed to do this without charging me for these extra days. The piano arrived on time and sounded a great. Such courteous and professional service! Would recommend them to anyone.
One of the best transaction experiences I’ve ever had. I was shopping online for a piano. Bob’s had the exact piano I was looking for. I called them up, they sent me pictures, and I bought it right there over the phone. The customer service was amazing. Deliver was smooth and professional. The piano came waxed and buffed. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this family owned business.
Unmatched selection. Professional staff. Fabulous experience.
We could not be happier with our new piano. We rented one from Bobb’s for over a year, an upright. We went back and purchased a grand piano. Had it delivered a couple of weeks ago…. It was to be a surprise for my wife 🙂
The delivery team arrived right on time, was super quiet and we got it all set up. When she came down and saw it later that morning, she was absolutely thrilled.
Everyone in the place went out of their way for us. I could not recommend Bobb’s more highly. They’re not just a fabulous dealer, they’ve become friends.
You must go by, see the selection, and talk to the staff. You will leave with the piano of a lifetime and the peace of mind a professional organization has got your back.
Nothing but love for Bobb’s. Thanks, guys!!!
We bought a piano here a year and a half ago and we are satisfied with the one we bought. Good customer service. No sales push. On top of all that, they also offer free piano exchange.
Horribly rude staff was inexcusably mean for no reason. Maybe was having a bad day but I’ve never seen such harshness and attitude
You all know how frustrating sometime it came be going thru TSA inside the airport, or had you seen a sign written “restricted area, authorized to use deadly forces beyond this point”, in this place or at least dealing with this sales person you will not pass GO unless you show them you’re clear of $$.
I am looking for a Yamaha U3 used piano for my daughter, looking over the web and found this Bobb’s family own business, give them a call today see if they have any in stock before I go in, spoke to the sales person name Tim over the phone, (which I’m glad I call first no need to waste my time and gas drive to the store) instead of getting what I want to know, pretty much is the other way around, he ask who that for ? is this her first piano ? what’s the name of the instructor my daughter attend to ? do you know the u3 price range is around $5k ?
I told him is for my daughter yes is the first piano, my instructor only do private lesson and she came from over sea you wouldn’t really know her either, Tim replied: he in the business over 25 years knew over 40 instructor in south florida, and he might know her too, but since I don’t want to tell him is fine.. I’m think OF COURSE you have to be fine with that, I don’t need to tell you anything. Then he said : when are you ready to come see the piano ? HELLO!! you don’t even answer my first question ‘Do you have any u3 in stock ?? I wouldn’t be driving to a store without knowing if you have the piano.. he replied we might, I need to check the inventories first, but he sure he had U1 on the floor now, and repeatedly asking me again are you only looking for yamaha and have to be U3 ? also said you know U3 will cost you around $5K even they have in stock ?
At this point I’m fed up, he still haven’t tell me if he had the piano I’m looking for yet instead he start to figure my daughter experiences, Instructor info, if I can afford $5k ? I told him Yes I did my research I’m aware is around 4-5k and my budget is 6K, but now you just lose my business.
If you don’t have what customer looking for just simply tell them and be polite, not to dig into someone background and see if they can afford that is really rude.
I wouldn’t surprise if I go into the store he might ask my bank statement and how many asset I owned before I can actually see the piano, maybe this is how a family own business customer service ?
I don’t know about the others customers, myself I just bring my business else where. I really hope Tim is not part of the owner of this family business operation, because I don’t know how his attitude will last the business for the next generation taking over.
I will NOT recommend Bobb’s piano or at least NOT dealing with this sales person to ALL my friends and families.
If you’re going to consign your piano with this company please learn from my mistake and don’t.
I’ve called numerous times to ask about our piano that we consigned THREE years ago and I’m told they still have it. I find that hard to believe. The last time I called the gentleman said that “oh yeah, it’s right here on the showroom.” I asked him for a picture of our piano in the showroom so he could prove he still has it and guess what? I never got a picture.
Not only will they take your piano to consign but they have no interest in paying you what was agreed upon in your contract. So, Bobbs, how do you want to proceed with this because I’m done trying to get your business to do the right and honest thing.
4. Roger White Pianos
Address: 1300 N Florida Mango Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
Roger sold us our very first and has continued to work with us on upgrades all the while maintaining what we’ve had over the years. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Fair and honest, just what you want when making a purchase especially one that is no a run-of-the-mill purchase.
Roger was fast, friendly, professional and he knows what he’s doing.
He sold me my Steinway, and tunes my sisters Piano since she has moved down from NY.
Highly Recommend! Thanks again Roger!
Had a wonderful experience purchasing a piano from Roger. He was great! Gave us a warranty and really took great care of us! This is our first piano we have ever bought and we searched many different places but got a great piano from a great guy! Would totally recommend!
Terrible service. Termites in my piano. It didn’t let me put 0 stars. I’m disappointed. termites.
I’m a young musician, exitingly getting my new piano, but instead ended up selling us a piano with termites. Didn’t give us anything back. Ridiculous
5. AMP Shop & Music Parlor
Address: 776 S Congress Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33406 , West Gate , Florida , United States
Been here a few times, they are super friendly, do high quality work, and have tons of interesting equipment on consignment at any given time
Super friendly, low key shop for musicians and their gear. Repairs, service, parts, consignments.
Good store for used equipment and service on your equipment. Friendly!
Good
Were good nice guys and womens
Closing early on a Friday during season? Bad business practice. Sitting outside your shop at 4:45pm. Call ahead or schedule an appointment with these guys
12/30/16
Sold me an amp for $130 that they didn’t even check at half volume (cuts out) and called that “fully serviced” and couldn’t do anything for me when I complained bc I live out of state.
6. DC Rehearsal Recording and Soundstage
Address: All bookings are by appointment only, 2511 Westgate Ave #10, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
Reasonable rates and great folks running the day to day business. Streaming video capabilities, nice rehearsal rooms.
Great rehearsal studio
I love DC studios. The staff are so helpful & kind. They really accommodate you there. Excellent studio. I highly recommend DC studios to all who need a well equipped studio with experienced staff to help practice and improve.
Nice place for band practice
No Dr.Pepper. (I’m from Texas)! Lol!
We rehearse there weekly. Gear is okay and A.C. needs to be cooler but rates are decent
The old location was good as is the new one. Don is still owner but John no longer is working. This Paul guy is rude arrogant unprofessional and unpleasant to be around. He’s as bad in this audio video studio environment as he is on live gigs. Maybe just rehearsing here is ok but word of advise if you’re even thinking of doing anything else here go spend your hard earned money elsewhere. There are other studios and people out there who will treat their clients with more decent human common courtesy and professionalism than this wannabe Paul guy ever will.
Was extremely disappointed when I booked time in advance, my band showed up on time, we were set up and ready to play when the owner called me and said we had to leave and let another band use the space. His excuse was that I didn’t confirm our booking. We had to pack up and go. I had been frequenting DC off and on over 5 years, but this incident was uncalled for. I cannot support this business after this experience. Have moved on.
Unfortunately, the gear is not well taken care of…knobs are broken off, cabinets rattle, and mic stands are…well, just bring your own mic stand. The rooms are dark and dank. Sadly, there is not much competition in the area, so the proprietor has no reason to improve the conditions. We scheduled a rehearsal the night before an original show back in November of 2011. The place was closed. When we finally got a hold of the owner, he thought we had canceled. There was no offer to come open up. Just a free rehearsal next time. Next time turned out to be last Tuesday. Needless to say, the owner “forgot”, and asked if I had a text or business card to prove my story. As if I would be brazen enough to come in and rehearse, then make up some bs story about how he owed us a free rehearsal. He agreed that it probably happened, and that with our reputation it was very unlikely that we’d do that. So, he only charged me half price. WHAT A GUY!! Then, later while we were packing up he gave me a card and offer our next 3 hour rehearsal for the reduced rate of $40. Now, he told us he normally charges $45 for two hours, so I’m not sure how a free hour minus $5 really makes up for his unprofessionalism.
Please, if you’d like a lesson in “you get what you pay for” give good ol’ DC Studios a try. Say hello to Don for me. That is, if he shows up.
6 years later – Thanks for reminding me of this review, Google! No, I am not a competing studio. You didn’t remember me then, and clearly even less 2 years later. Needless to say, I have never been back and have never recommended your studio since. Not even sure if you’re still open. I hope it took a few bucks out of the till. You were not cool. Take care.
7. Adam Austin
Address: West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
My experience there is always everything I’ve come to expect it to be. Professional and timely work, with a precise, and very meticulous approach to detail. Definitely my company of choice for Song production, recording, videos, editing, mixing and mastering, and much more.
To me, Dream Machine is the brightest shining symbol of music in West Palm Beach. Its a place where you can take your sound and not only “get things done” but grow as an artist and a person. I’ve been to multiple studios in and out of Florida and i have to say, going to Dream Machine is hands down the best experience you can get.
Hands down.. Very comfortable and homely. Possibly one of the best studios in South Florida
Total highway robbery save your time and money
The The studio looks just like its owner old broke and rundown needs a new upgrade…..

Address: 4201 Westgate Ave ste A 17, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
Nice and easy, in and out great pricing. Staff at the desk was helpful and polite. Lovely little store.
This has been a great program for our son. Very good music lessons, shows, and summer camps. It is great for teens who love music to be surrounded by 70 fellow teens that share their love.
Since beginning lessons here, my son’s drumming has come a long way. The personalized lesson plan and the committed teaching of the instructor have been the key factors.
Nick is an exceptional teacher in that he explains, motivates, demonstrates and advises in equal measure. He knows so much about music, technique and theory. He is kind and patient with my slow-witted fumblings.
12. 561 Palm Beach Music Group
Address: 419 Executive Center Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 , West Gate , Florida , United States
Most professional recording/engineering service I’ve come across in ALL of Florida. Friendly and inviting environment conducive to recording and generating musical ideas. J Knotts brings sound ideas to life simply based on verbal descriptions when the customer lacks the technical verbiage to explain what they want and need. Fast and detail-oriented mixing made possible with top of the line, high-end equipment. Expect to leave with a real studio quality sounding track. Knowledgeable in every aspect of the music industry from promotion, to song writing, and beyond. This guy is a blessing in disguise. Highly recommend for any and every “serious” music artist.
561 PBMG is a masterpiece in the making!! The growth has been a delight to watch and witness! Professional, fair and all inclusive!!! If you are an artist or anyone vested in the creative arts you def need to check them out!! A one stop shop and a whole vibe!! Knotts is a true skillsman in his trade and has been for years!! With 561 PBMG you cant lose!!!
Being a student at Willow so far feels like winning a lottery that keeps on giving. I only had a brief class with Alex, he gives clear instructions and has no punishing attitude when I couldn’t hit the correct beats, knowing I have never played drums before, he is very kind to let me to try. Currently I have been Tom’s piano student for a month, every time I think of our class, I thank my higher power to put Tom in my healing journey from childhood trauma. One sad memory was when I was 9 years old, I had a punishing piano teacher who got upset/ frustrated/ criticizing/ cold and distanced from me when I couldn’t play the right notes. After a soul-crushing 2 years of learning piano, I couldn’t bring myself to touch a piano again until 30 years later when I met Tom. He is a piano genius but what is more important for me is his humanly qualities as an exceptional teacher, him being warm, patient, funny, fearless to express himself in piano and sharing his feelings and thinking steps about songs with me in a detailed way, encouraging me to try when I am apathetic and reminding me to be slow when I am being hard on myself- My inner child feels safe in class, so I could finally start to put aside the self-blame and shame and learn how to be present, gentle, and kind towards myself in the learning process which is full of making mistakes. Through Tom’s selfless sharing his mind of treasure, I am not only learning from him but also from all great teachers of Tom’s, channeling themselves through him. On top of learning hitting the right keys with the right length, I also learn who wrote the song, in which country, of which culture, in what era, which dance and poem is paired with the song, the musical theory behind it, so I can make it come alive in my imagination and relate to the song more deeply in a personal sense. It is an enriching way to experience a piano, all thanks to Tom showing me its grace and complexity. I am grateful to have a loving teacher like Tom, to feel safe enough to be playful and then can finally have fun with piano while I learn.
Kathy Williow and her two amazingly talented sons Tom & Alex @ Willow Music’s Studios made my day…I beleeeeeeive may gave a shot at learning the piano…I guess a an old dog new tricks!
We love Willow Music! I have both my children ages 6 and 4 enrolled, they each learn differently and Mrs. Willow has successfully tailored learning to each of them. We have tried other music schools and this studio is by far the best. Highly recommend
