The quality and caliber of all the performers and programs are always extraordinary. The present performance location is just perfect (not a bad seat in the house!). Really worth supporting with membership and their “perks”.
2. Le Fay Studios
Address: 2301 W Arizona 89a Suite 105, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
It was an incredible experience making music with Nic! He was able to understand my vision and elevate my ideas in ways I couldn’t have imagined. He has a deep understanding of his gear, and plenty of musical toys to play with to stay inspired. The studio’s environment is also really calming and the coffee shop next door is just a bonus. Highly recommend and can’t wait to get back in there!! 🙂
Le Fay Studios has honestly been a huge blessing in my music career! I had no idea how to go about creating music besides writing lyrics and Le Fay Studios was more than helpful at piecing together my very first song. Le Fay Studios took such great care along the creative journey with me creating a warm and non judgmental environment to where I felt open and free with singing for the first time in a studio. I’m forever grateful for such a magical musical journey with the studio
Nic was an absolute joy to work with. He was able to help bring the songs to life and brought vision and focus to getting the final mix just right. The studio space itself is amazing, nestled between an apothecary and a music venue space. Looking forward to getting back into Lefay Studios!
3. Sacred Sound of the Soul – Sedona Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing Bowls
Address: 251 AZ-179 STE C6, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Visiting from out of town and decided to try sound bath for our whole family. It was so relaxing. Thank you so much.
We enjoyed a one hour sound healing session. It was amazing!! I felt so incredible after… for days. Highly recommend.
Amazing! Left feeling refreshed and the singing bowls were so calming. The hour flew by. Thank you so much!
My husband and I were looking for something to do and we found that Sacred Sound of the soul was open. So we decided to go and check it out since we are both into it. Well the women that greeted us at the door and forgot to put a sign up on the door that she was in a session and pretty much rushed us out of there very rudely kinda ruined our experience visiting Sedona. Well someone should change their yelp and say it’s by appointments only cause the sound bowls looked beautiful. I guess we will take our business elsewhere. Looked beautiful would have been a awesome experience, we are Just disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend it to any of our family and friends.
4. Sedona Music Boxes
Address: 336 AZ-179 a209, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Wow what a neat store SO many different types of music boxes, musical clocks, and more. Unfortunately we got there right before closing so we couldn’t stay long but glad for the website too. But definitely go if you’re at the shopping center; it’s better to see when you’re there.
This is the place to fulfill your childhood dream of toys you always wanted but never had!
Music boxes were lovely. Staff wasn’t interested in speaking to us.
The products were very charming; however, I will not be returning. The owner shows blatant disregard for covid precautions and went so far as to inform my mother and I that she will not mask. We were both masked and she waited until we were mid sale to bring up the topic and announce her stance. She also has a sign spreading blatant misinformation. I am a healthcare worker who has watched patients die of covid-19 and I will not support a shop run by someone with such blatant disregard for human life.
I loved the selection of product and wide variety but I’m very upset with the woman who was running the store. She did not follow CDC protocol at all and even told two older women that they are allowed to remove their mask. I understand it’s a new standard but this is a tourist attractions and the possibly of catching COVID is higher. Remember not to treat others different based on their appearance.
Had this horrible horrible sign in the store. Very irresponsible (and with no sources??) when people are dying
5. Studio Ei8ht Sedona
Address: 28 Finley Dr Unit 4, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
I’m biased on this review because I love the people who run this space. Very homey, family type atmosphere to relax and practice or record music at very affordable rates, also doubles as a day space to hang out and work on projects when no appointments are booked for an hourly rate that includes all the coffee or tea you can drink. Byo instruments if you have high standards, their equipment is not top tier, but definitely a great value for the price. They have put a lot of hard work into developing the business since moving into the new location and it shows.
Love this space! Luther Flowers is a warm and welcoming owner, who’s happy to accommodate musicians in any way he can. He’s also an excellent multi-instrumentalist. Eclectic, friendly & supportive vibe for rehearsal & production. I had a fun, inspiring experience first time there. Look forward to returning!
No frills music studio managed by an accommodating, friendly, down-to-earth gang of music enthusiasts. Anticipate this spot blooming into a trice scene once essential equipment upgrades (addition of mounted drum kit toms and less finicky high hat stand) are realized.
6. Valerie Sanjali Irons
Address: 1785 W State Rte 89A #1C, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
The support of Valerie in the breathwork and sound allowed for changes in my physical as well as emotional and mental well-being. It was an amazing session. Valerie carefully explains beforehand what may or may not occur. I would do it again.
A very spiritual and moving session. Highly recommend Valerie!
My “sound healing” experience with Valerie and her husband was beyond AMAZING! They used different fragrances and musical instruments that created unique vibrations in my bodyThey’re loving approach left my mind, body, and soul with increased ENERGY and SELF-LOVE!!!
PS. They are the cutest couple!!!!!!
Would repeat again and again!!!!
I don’t know how she is technically. she got really good recommendations from the friend of a friend but when I showed up she was not vaccinated! For health care worker not even to tell the potential client about her vaccination status is unethical as far as I’m concerned
Having had this experience a few days ago, it was one of the most transformative and relaxing experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Colleen.
I first had the opportunity to experience Colleen’s Soundbath and release breathwork at her studio in April, 2021 after having gone through a life changing traumatic event in my life earlier that year. Her music, hymns and beautiful voice during the Soundbath set the stage for me to maximize the benefits of the release breathwork. I had never participated in either of these practices in my life and I was open and ready to begin the hard work of healing. The breathwork session was the most profound moment in facilitating the release needed for me to truly begin to heal and let go of the trauma and the pain. Colleen provided a safe and nurturing environment and I am grateful for her gifts and devotion to the healing arts. I enthusiastically recommend her and was so excited to have had the opportunity a few weeks ago to be nourished once again by her beautiful Soundbath session in Phoenix! Thank you Colleen!
I had this beautiful experience of meditation session with a group of friends down in Sedona by the creek!
It was fascinating, relaxing, and refreshing to heard Colleen playing flute and other instruments, I recommend it 100% I also even book a session for my daughter and friend for her 20 birthday present
8. Goddess Alchemy
Address: 44 Finley Dr Unit 444, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Dee is such a peach…if you are too! Keep your vibes bright & you’ll go far
Cool Place! The woman who helped me was very kind. She got me all set up with everything I needed in a matter of minutes.
Very helpful, nice product and good prices. This is a great shop, I would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
They have a selection there that will get you through your day the people there are very friendly
Unique pipes!
Thy didn’t have what I was looking for.
Seemed like a decent but small head shop but when I asked asked if they carry nicotine vapes and the owner said “Nope, I care more about you than you do about yourself. I smoke cigarettes.” Cute! But none of my business or concern and she will receive neither. Not worth checking out the rest of the wares. Maybe they should figure it out so their shop doesnt pop up when one searches for a nic vape on google in Sedona. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If I could give this place a 0 Stars review I would because for some reason I can never get in. I live in Sedona and have come here about 10 times, every time the open sign being on, and the lady is usually sitting inside with a note on the door “be back later”. I am now just going to consider this place a ghost smoke shop. Like come on, what is the point? Don’t waste your time, go to Zombies.
We drove from cottonwood to come to this shop and the sign said it was open and the door had a lock and the lights off this is false advertising and if the store is closed cut the light off and change your hours on the sign and online!
10. ALT Gallery
Address: 2301 AZ-89A #102, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Great place to shop for records. He also a huge selection of books, paintings and stereo equipment. Owner is cool. Give it a look.
Sedona’s best kept secret. 2nd the other post. Love it. Always a great experience with Mark!
BEST SHOP IN SEDONA! What a find after the initial let down of the majority of the touristy galleries in town. An amazing and wide range of art work, from western theme to more contemporary. Both consigned pieces and work from the owners private collection. A real treasure trove of a shop, art work everywhere mixed with LPs and books. It’s a bit like digging around an attic which I kinda like. Mark the owner is very helpful and everything’s priced reasonably. If yer up for a visual adventure CHECK IT OUT!
Large selection of art work, especially Dr Seuss prints, old phonograph records,& used books, books, books. Books were a little pricey for me; family member bought few albums.
Eclectic mix of many things, art, records, and various other kitsch. Good stop for travelers.
11. ALT Books and Records
Address: 336 AZ-179 Suite C203, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Best books on earth! Rare records, occult tomes, groovy tunes. The owners are lovely people. Highly recommended.
Very personable staff with a nice selection of records def will visit again might have to spend a whole check here
This was such a cute little bookstore. It’s tastefully decorated with Dr. Seuss artwork which gives it a fun atmosphere. The owner plays music from a record player. And when he noticed my son was looking at “The Beatles” books he brought over a box of books about “The Beatles” that he hadn’t had a chance to put out yet and allowed my son to go through them. We bought “Mustang” a classic children’s book from the 60’s that was in great condition, two books about “The Beatles”, and a book of poems by Edgar Allen Poe. The prices were reasonable, especially considering we were in the center of a tourist location where the prices could have easily been higher. I would definitely visit this store again the next time I’m in Sedona.
Great selection of used vinyl but be careful
when purchasing their use vinyl.
The condition rating on the price label seems to be only for the cover not the vinyl record.
Being a tourist I paid top dollar only to find out when I got home the record cover was “VG” but the record was in poor condition.
Visited a few weeks ago and got two records. After listening to them I realized that though they were marked “VG”, they were not in that great condition for the price I bought them at. I bought a Mamas and the Papas record for $16 and it skips which is very disappointing. Had I known, I wouldn’t have bought them. I’ve bought cheaper records in better conditions than here, though the collection was pretty good.
Good atmosphere, book, and record selection however an odd experience. I picked up a book that on the jacket said 27.50. Unfortunately, when it came to purchase it I ended up paying 40. I’m not sure why used books are marked up instead of down, but oh well I guess. Unfortunately my social anxiety was in the way of me saying anything although I should have. My friend was charged $70 even for her two vinyls, and paid the woman $80. We never received change. Almost seems like we were taken advantage of. Probably won’t be back.
My girlfriend and I were passing through Sedona and were excited to see that there was now a record store. Turns out it’s just a tourist trap. If you are a serious collector, you shouldn’t bother because everything is outrageously over-priced. In the racks you’ll find literal dollar records priced at $20-$30. These are things you can buy from Discogs still sealed for $1, or find in the bargain bin at brick and mortar shops. Anything that is actually rare you can expect to pay much more than you should. In addition, the owner has another store in a less busy part of town that we also visited. When we got to talking to him he bragged to us about how he can overcharge for records at the primary location, and people still buy them. This isn’t a case where the owner doesn’t know what they’re doing. They are preying on people who don’t know any better. Ridiculous. Their book selection is okay, and the woman working behind the counter was friendly.
Do not bring any kids! Owner was a massive jerk. Screamed at my 5 year old for just touching his record player, and I mean just a touch. We have a well tempered child who just made a small mistake that didn’t break a thing. But yet he demanded a apology instead of looking at how he treated a small child.
12. White Light Crystals, Books and Angels
Address: 2155 W State Rte 89A STE 201, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Awesome prices on everything, everyone is super nice, and I’ve had INCREDIBLE energy healing work done here… seriously, almost scary!! THANK YOU, LORELEI!!
Best prices and best vibes. The owners really care about what they do and the customers. I will definitely be back and recommend everyone to check them out, they have something for everyone
So sad to see them leave KC, they had the best prices in town on crystals and they are amazing teachers. Reiki will change your life. I’m still trying to find another shop with comparable prices, vibes, and love like they put into their store.
ONLY thing going for this place is the reasonable stone prices.
Went in a few times for help on a matter. Instead of giving genuine advice, they start recommending classes. EXPENSIVE classes. Things i can go out and learn on my own or from other people for FREE.
Not only that, they claim to have “low prices so that they can help others.” i can find everything except the gems somewhere else cheaper.
Going up the staitcase and in the store i feel horrible energy. A sense of dread. And ive never left the place without a migraine.
Worst store ever. Rude bwitches and not helpfull. Unwelcoming and when you ask for somthing they act like your a ducking todler. Never going back and would close them down and make them homeless if i could. Rudest people on the face of the earth. And when walking up the stairs to the store it makes you feel uncomfortable and off. I had to leave and now for some reason i feel very angry and my day is ruined.
Went in for a quick peak. Beware, most of the crystals are fake.
13. Redbox
Address: 2570 AZ-89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Nice place! They had my food waiting for me, but not on the counter. It was a fast in and out trip!
Great staff. Coffee is outstanding
Quick service & polite staff.
Used to be my favorite but the wifi is slow and the music is too loud and seating could be better.
It’s a little on the busy side, a little slow when getting drinks and it’s clean.
Love Starbucks…but the dining room being completely closed so that you have to go through the drive though to get coffee is COMPLETELY unacceptable. While I was at the outside patio, I told a half dozen folks they had to use the drive through…couldn’t even order on the app, at least four, if not five of those customers left. This situation has been going on for WEEKS …
This situation is NOT Covid related…they simply don’t have enough staff. For a HUGE tourist town like Sedona, This situation won’t fly.
How can I take people there for coffee, have meetings there if we have to drive through???
Do not come for internet! Unbelievably slow connection, around 50 kb/s which is about dial up speed. When I asked the barista, she said it’s always this slow. This is unacceptable for a coffee shop, especially Starbucks. Me and the three other people using computers have to use personal hotspots on our phones. Paid $6 for a drink so I could use their internet. Very disappointed
*Edit: I’m changing this to a one star review because I see numerous other reviews stating the same thing dating to over a year ago. It seems like time for new management
Wow! We went through the drive through earlier in the afternoon. The worker gave us the wrong drink, asked us two times what are drink orders were, takes forever to give us the drinks. Fast forward three hours, we are at dinner and my husband reaches for his card, nope, not there. Great, the lady at the Starbucks drive through never gave us our card back. We go back to get it. My husband shows them his ID. The manager tells him that eight, yes, eight credit cards were accidentally kept today. Are you kidding me. Clearly, kept this lady off the drive through.
15. Redbox
Address: 1995 AZ-89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
This shop is so cute! High quality products, amazing location, and Dani was so amazing and helpful! Definitely come check it out when you’re in Sedona!
Not at all what I expected. Soothing music greets you from the minute you walk in. A nice selection of gift items (candles, jewellery etc) in addition to crystals. Dani was warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back.
Amazing local shop! Sales lady was so knowledgeable and helpful!
I was there because it is one place that you paid for a ride.
60 dollars for a head beanie is absolutely an insult to locals who would attempt to shop at this fake hippie store.
It was an amazing experience hearing and feeling my soul song expressed through Carol’s music. I felt a deep sense of relaxation. My body gently released the tension it had been holding as I dropped into a deep state of being.
Thank you for sharing your gift!
My experience with Carol was exquisite from beginning to end. Feeling nestled into the beautiful sacred space in which Carol created for me, which allowed me to be deeply relaxed within my journey I was about to take. As Carol stoked her piano, magnificent music filled the air making me feel at home in my soul, and a longing to reach for the stars.
Barbara L
My journey began with Carol’s soft voice guiding me into deep relaxation as she did calming energy work over my body. When I was in a deep state of relaxation, she began the Song of my Soul. I traveled to a moonlit night full of stars. When I arrived there, I connected with my Soul. This felt harmonious. I received a couple profound messages from my Soul…some inner guidance pointing me in a new direction. I felt aligned with these messages and felt at peace. I carried that peace with me out of the session. This experience felt safe and powerful.
18. Mystical Bazaar
Address: 3058 W State Rte 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
They have a large variety and different sizes of gemstones at fair prices, which was surprising for such an upscale shop. We went to another place in the more touristy part of Sedona waiting for our dinner reservation, and couldn’t believe how much they cost and the poor quality compared to Mystical Bazaar. I would highly recommend this place for gemstone shopping in Sedona.
Pretty rocks!
Lots of interesting bling and crystals.
Prices are high compared to other store i went to. There are lots of options here though (jewelry etc.) to look at.
Spent about 20 minutes in this store with my 2 friends. They had rocks cast in resin that claim to “purify the atmosphere.” I was considering buying one of their drums when a staff member approached us and told us to leave. I would recommend shopping online for rocks, the vibe in this place is pretty hostile… if you do not immediately purchase something then you are unwelcome.
rude
Reader looked at my body language and was trying to make wild guesses. Do not waste money.
19. Crystal Magic
Address: 2978 AZ-89A, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Wide variety of stones and prices. Friendly staff.
The second time I’ve been here , this place does not disappoint .
Did a Human Design Session with Maureen and it was fabulous! The store is cute as well.
Definitely a large selection, although most of the minerals and crystals are basic grade. You can find very affordable crystals here, which is rare in Sedona, but some items are vastly overpriced for what they are.
All in all, like most Sedona crystal shops, this place is ok.
You can find higher quality at lower prices (much much lower) in specialty shops online or instagram.
Good place..worth the drive over
This was a very fun place.
Just bought almost $100 worth of stuff here and my friend tried using a credit card with someone else’s name on it (which she had full permission to use). The cashier asked what middle initial was on the card (as if this makes any sense…as some sort of test???). She didn’t know and so was not permitted to use that card. We had to stand around figuring out another way to pay and were treated like criminals. The cashier even said “well I don’t steal things so I wouldn’t know what I would do with a stolen card”. Both of us have shopped here many times. I will not be returning. Yuck!!!
Everything overpriced
Local here, went in and was completely ignored by the 5 people working. I even went straight to the counter to shop for earrings and no one said a word to me. Everything is so expensive and with this kind of lack of customer service I will not be stopping in anymore. Bummer.
20. Friends of the Sedona Library Used Bookstore
Address: 3270 White Bear Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336 , West Sedona , Arizona , United States
Nice selection, well organized, friendly- helpful staff and very reasonable.
Really quite remarkable partnership with the library. Please consider donating to them when thinking about downsizing your book library.
This place is an absolute gem. There are so many books, organized by different subjects. The volunteers who greeted us and showed us around are very friendly. If I lived in town, I would totally volunteer here. I ended up leaving with about 6 books and my partner had the same. We got there about half an hour before they closed. If I spent more time, I’d probably get a whole lot more books. Visit this place and support the Friends of the Sedona Library!
Nice library
I’m a book-addict. My brain craves stories. Luckily, I’m my mother’s daughter and she is the same way. We’ve been in a book drought. And, here we found relief. I got four books for 6$, she got four for 3$. So, depending what section you browse in, you can find some good bargains. Support the library! Libraries are the best.
Great prices here on lightly used books. The variety is huge.
I went to the Sedona Public Library to use their computer and printer. I asked for help because I did not know how to use a computer or printer. With each step of the process I was given one direction and then left alone. I was very clear that I did not know what I was doing. This happened four times. When I asked for help the fifth time, I was told that the librarian was helping other people. Yet, I was the first person at the computers and the first person to ask for help. Why did I not get the help that I asked for that other folks received? I watched both librarians help others from beginning to end with similar computer issues, but I was not given that same help.
My feeling was that as a “guest” I was treated like a second class citizen. I have never been treated so poorly by library staff or any other person/group I have asked help from.
Please be forewarned, not everyone at the Sedona Library is kind or helpful or fair. Know that the two women who were at the computer area will not provide the help you need if you are not a resident of Sedona.
Came a little before they opened with my RV. The red-neck security guard told us to leave. Very rude.
