Do not take music lessons at this place of business. They are charging more than anyone in town and the owner is extremely rude. We switched to Grow Your Gift Music on Beal Parkway and it was the best decision for my daughter.

We have been going to playground music since my daughter started band in 6th grade, she is now a junior and plays the clarinet. Kyle and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. Beautiful selection of instruments

A really chill music shop with prices varying from the cheap end to the really expensive end, their prices are a little high, but they do offer a monthly payment plan (if you have good credit). I am a double bassist, so they did not really have a selection for me, but they do have a lot of other instruments.

ive been in this store twice and both time the customer service was nonexistent . the prices are too high for what little selection they have (guitars ) i chased a clerk down and asked about a new effect processor and pickups for my esp and they dont carry them . special order they said .
leitz on beal is a way better place and the customer service is top notch . save you money and avoid the hassle , just go to leitz music on beal

I came to have my cello fitted and the staff was extreamly rude, particularly one lady with curly hair and glasses, and then they tried to charge $40 for a job that at a different location was free but of charge. Shame. This store needs some direction

Brought a guitar and wiring harness in back in June. The guitar needed a fret job and I wanted the harness installed. They said they didn’t have someone in their staff could work on it, but one of their teachers can. I left it with them. A MONTH LATER, I got tired of waiting and came in to ask the progress. They messaged the teacher and then he messaged me. According to him, they never told him he was to work on it, so a month of NOTHING happened.

Two weeks later, the guitar is supposedly done. Me thinking my patience has finally paid off, took it home to play around with it. The frets were fine. The wiring was absolutely abysmal. The neck volume still sent signal despite the switch being on the bridge setting and on 0. The bridge volume became insanely bassy rolled off. I figured that was the fault of the company that made the harness, so I took it back and they messaged the teacher. He later messaged me and came across as standoffish. Claimed he spent 4 hours checking the results.

After a while, they told me either the company who sold it screwed it up or it was like that “by design” (i.e. not their fault). I asked if they could adjust or rework it to see if they can fix it.

I wait a week later and call back in to ask the progress. They told me they guy that was meant to work on it had been gone for a week due to tragic circumstances. I would have been inclined to believe them if the news weren’t delivered to me like a middle schooler being asked to read from a textbook. I decided to take my guitar back because I didn’t want this headache anymore.

I PAID $400+ DOLLARS AND WAITED ALMOST TWO MONTHS FOR THIS BOTCH JOB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. You’ll honestly have better luck doing it yourself.

Now that vinyls are back, this is a great place to shop. A little crowded but that is a good thing because it means there are lots of records available.

This old bald headed hippie with this nasty gray beard is a rip off.He offered me 100 .00 for a Beatles lp.That is worth 10 times that much.Dishonest when it comes to trying to sell stuff to him.Don’t trust him!!! Negitive 5 reviews his stuff is way over priced.To the laymen who does not know anything about collectible Vinyl he will take advantage of you!! DISHONEST BUSINESS MAN!!!!!

My wife and I have been working with Steve and his team for over 1 year now and it has been nothing short of exceptional!
We did a new construction, Steve (and “the boys”) was actively involved from the beginning with planning smart home automation AV items and home security. I believe his foresight saved us several thousands of dollars and we were able to fully customize the items we wished to have installed and programmed.
We can not recommend him (Sound Decisions) enough!

We were only able to make it to one class, but we loved it so much that we’ve signed up for a whole class series this fall and looking forward to what else will be available in the future!

We started our son in a group piano class for a few months for fun. We didn’t expect it to turn into much. But the staff is amazing, especially his instructor Miss Debra. After the first time meeting her, I felt she exemplified a genuine love for music and her students. Such a sweet and gentle person! She’s made lessons fun and engaging so much so that we plan to continue on with his lessons, even transitioning to private lessons. We look forward to watching our son’s gift grow with this school!

My son had been a student of Ms. Marlyna for two years in a beginner group setting. When we found out she was opening her own Music Studio we were elated for her.

After he attended the Music Camp she offered during the summer, he was committed to taking private lessons and has now started. The joy and excitement he has is fantastic. We highly recommend this wonderful place to enrich the lives of anyone through music.

I didn’t want to review but I am frustrated with how things are being run on the business side. I attend the baby class with my child and after having a holiday and requesting a makeup class or even pro-rating I recieved no response. I sent multiple emails about this and heard nothing. After speaking with staff after a class I was told it was this way. Unfortunately I feel this is taking advantage of those who attend the baby class as I looked at the holiday and closures and that means we miss 10 classes a year but other students are only missing 6 classes a year. Still charging full price for students who are not receiving full classes due to holidays and not rescheduling the classes is honestly sad. I understand having a full week closures that impacts everyone but those who miss more due to the classes only being offered Mondays (and when the majority of extra holidays are) is unfair to the students and families impacted. I really think as a business you should reevaluate how you are charging those most impacted by your holidays schedule.

With this said I adore attending class with my child. Miss Veronica does a fabulous job of entertaining and bring music to these young students.

I’m hoping this will bring the issue to light and hopefully you’ll be able to find a solution that will work for all parties involved.

Edit to add since can’t respond: unfortunately I never recieved a single response to any of my emails. I checked my spam folder and still recieved nothing. Also I understand a 45 week school year. However, as stated above, with missing 10 classes a year it makes the baby class only 42 weeks out of the year.

I enrolled my 7 year old daughter in their music camp. She was looking forward to it all summer and I was saddened for the experience to be such a disappointment. The week before camp started, I called the office and asked what the schedule would be like or if I would be getting more information before “camp” started. I was assured an email would be coming from the teacher- Mrs Rachel. My main concern was that my daughter was on the older side of the 5-7 group and i wanted to make sure it was going to be age appropriate for her and not a song along type of experience. I was assured it would not be. Day 1 and 2 her feedback was exactly that. Day 3 I asked for her to be in an older class and the woman at the front desk informed me there were no other options. The older class was canceled because there weren’t enough kids. What is my point? This was poorly organized and a complete waste. I was not offered any way to make it right. Honestly, I would have been satisfied with anything even just a “we understand” . If it would have gone as we thought we would have leaned into this place and started lessons instead it was just a waste of money. Im sure the good reviews regarding lessons are true; however, this place has no business marketing “camps”. HUGE disappointment!
*and to clarify. The class was not full. There were 8 other kids. This camp was not at capacity. It was just very poorly planned and for toddlers not children wanting to explore music and instruments. You can see on their FB page with a video of their circle time singalong. Do not pay for this.

Great experience. I took 2 of my guitars to get restrung and tuned. They did a great job. I went back the following week and took my grandson with me to pick out a guitar strap. Love the strap he got! We also were pleased with their customer service and knowledge. Great place.

Dropped off a American Fender Strat Highway One HSS to get set up and get a fresh set of string. They lowered the action to low so now I have fret buzz on the low E just picking the string and fret buzz all the way down the neck on the low E and the A string. Pickups are way to low still. The bridge (closest to neck) pickup on the low E side is almost flush with pick guard still. Mid pickup is in the same place, and the pickup on the humbucker closest to the tremolo is still tilted at an angle. The tremolo is almost completely flush with the guitar. I can lift the whammy bar maybe a 1/4 inch at best before its flush with the guitar with no more room to work. And, as far as pushing it down maybe an inch before I start to feel to much tension. I’ve seen on line where people have a whole lot more give on the whammy bar almost being able to push it as far down where its nearly touching the guitar.

My one time teacher could teach the basic but did not know how to play on my instrument. The owner charged me for a whole month of lessons for my one time lesson. Did he need the money that bad?

Bought a clarinet from them for 1,111.94 was on sale originally 1900. A year later tried to trade it in. They offered 75$. They services this clarinet as well. Upgraded mouth piece. Long story short bad customer service owner wouldn’t even talk to us. Said he had lots of inventory but we saw none in store. Went to Schmitds and they offered a fair price for this and gained a customer. They were extremely nice. He said he gets a customer a week come in mad at these guys. 75$ smh.

With the lack of customer service and products I don’t see this company surviving another 2 years with online sales with Companies like sweetwater around I have been loyal customer for years, I will never set foot back on this store! Sad to say Guitar Center won my business on my purchase and treated me a hell of a lot better.

Worst guitar store experience of my life. Rude and arrogant salesman treated me like I was stupid. I’ll no longer feel bad ordering from big name music stores in the future.

One of the worst music store I have ever been in . That was the worst experience I have ever had in a music store in my life. When I walked in it felt like look but don’t touch. When you go into a music store your supposed to be able to sit down and play anything and feel at home but that is a different story. I went to sit down and play a piano and I was told to hold on that just runs a customer off. I would give it no stars but I have to give it one. I advise anybody to take their business somewhere else besides here.

I LOVED this store!! It’s unique, well stocked and organized, and just overall so fun. Highly recommend.

I did not find a single record of interest. I did find what sells well in a record store. I found records that get left behind often at record stores. I wish my local record store carried more original-pressing records of interest to that of a record collector. Those literary t-shirts were a nice touch though!

Go and get your jam on. They will either have the music you are hunting or they will have something better! Lots to check out here.

i really loved the vibe of the store and am extremely disappointed with the staff. i was leaving and the alarm sounded, which was a little weird but i am understanding and willing to comply. i didn’t even have a bag with me, but one of the male employees was hostile as if i had stolen something and stepped in front of me to block the stairway i was on. this made me very uncomfortable especially because i had not taken anything and he demanded i step back. the whole situation could’ve been handled so much better. i noticed a family sounded the alarm and the same staff member was so much more friendlier and understanding with them. as a 20 year old women i was put in a situation that was extremely upsetting. it is not acceptable for a man to block a doorway of a woman in any situation.

After browsing Central Records, I was on my way downstairs to check out the attached bookstore when Mark (an employee at Central Records) stormed in front of me and prevented me from going any further after the detector went off. Mind you, I have no bags with me so there is no way I could’ve stolen anything…not that I wanted to anyways but that’s besides the point. What I didn’t appreciate was the way he handled the situation. He was very aggressive and blocked me and another women from going downstairs. He then rushed us to go back up the stairs. I then went to talk with the manager about the situation and while talking to the manager, Mark came up and became super defensive. He then walked away when the detector went off again to stop other guests from leaving and had a smile on his face all while being a lot more gentle with them. This happened in front of the manager as well. I definitely won’t be back because of him.

Decent selection I went during covid so it’s not free range to go around and play any guitar you have to wait for them to bring it down and clean it.

I was assisted by Mr. Mat today while researching basic studio equipment. I left with the knowledge and understanding of what I will need. He was patient and very attentive to what I wanted. Excellent customer service.

I used to love Guitar Center in Pensacola. Customer service was terrific, selection was great, and I enjoyed shopping there. I was excited to see it come back after it closed a few years ago. The selection is still great, and the store looks incredible, but the customer service is severely lacking.

No one spoke to me the whole time I was there, which is fine, but still not typical of a place like Guitar Center. I went to check out and there were about four employees standing around talking. I had to get the attention of one of them so I could check out. The cashier (His name was Clark according to the receipt) was very cold, and acted like the whole process of ringing up my purchase was a major inconvenience for him. He asked me for my name, which I told him I preferred not to provide since I typically elect not to share personal information when I make purchases, and he passive aggressively slammed on the keyboard before informing me “Well I have to put something”. Furthermore, when I was putting my credit card in the reader to pay, without saying anything, he walked away from the counter to talk to another customer, while there were three people standing behind him who could have done it since he was in the middle of checking me out. I had to flag him down and get his attention to get a receipt. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but still. This is not a way to treat paying customers. It shows a lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I will probably utilize other music stores like Leitz Music or Blues Angel from now on.

I’ve ordered my grandson a guitar 3 times. After a week I get an email saying that I canceled the order which I did not. Today I’ve been on hold 45 minutes with the verification department. What BS . My grandson probably thinks I’m just senile.

The people are nice but the store SUCKS! Tried to buy some drumsticks today and every pack I brought to the counter rang up for significantly more that the sticker on the location of the product. On top of that I’m in the market for a new bass. They have a nice fender jazz. I wanted to give it a go. Nope. Not a single patch cable to be found. I’ll spend my G on a bass at another location. Just showing me again, why GC is dead.
