A small mining town. Lots of history. Also. The well known footage of Bigfoot walking on river bar was taken on the outskirts. Swimming. Camping. Tubing. Beautiful and wild.
Real hot in the summertime

Brought in my strat for a fret level and electrical repairs. Everyone at the shop was super helpful and friendly and they got it fixed in no time for a reasonable price! I’d bring my guitar to Anthony for repairs anytime. Also did a great job with my friends tele!
Took my daughter’s new electric violin here for a quick tuning and the staff were able to help without a wait.
Love this place go there for all my muusical instrument needs
Small shop with a familiar feel. We found what we came looking for – the Suzuki cello book 4 and an endpin rest. We also had fun looking at some instruments. We’ll visit again when we need something in the future.
Pretty good but they don’t always have what you need.
Small, funky music store.
Do not come here for electric instrument repairs. When I brought my bass in, I was simply told that my issue was non-existent. After I came in and demonstrated my instrument’s issue, the repairman instructed me to buy a specific input jack from the manufacturer’s website. Then when I brought the new input jack to the repairman he told me that I bought the wrong kind of jack. He offered to buy the part off me. Afterward, I called the manufacture website and discovered that I had actually bought the right part, and the repairman was incorrect. I brought my bass in again, where he claimed to have fixed the issue. But this was only temporary – my instrument is experiencing the same issue it had several months ago. I am not sure if this repairman is inexperienced or if he just blew me off.
Several friends have told me similar stories about this character from New York. I am disappointed because I’ve heard great things about the other luthier who works through this establishment.
I’ve been there 4 times since moving here.. just sucks.. over priced and very limited and you cant get any help shopping.they lost mega cash cuz they wouldnt even talk to me.try 2 street in eureka they sold me a few nice guitars at a really great price and…customer service lol..it’s really for college kids not real musicians.
Excellent performer. Had the pleasure of meeting James at a restaurant where he was the featured artist. Wonderful voice, good songs, and a kind person. Hoping to hear the trio again soon!
6. Redwood Music Mart
Address: 511 F St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Willow Creek , California , United States
Such a gem! Was recommended to this shop for their knowledge and expertise in saxophones. Went to purchase some reeds and the fellow working at the shop offered to give my new saxophone a test drive to see how it sounds. As a beginner, I was so thankful for this- he made it sound so clean! Hooked me up with basic needs for me to get started and had lots of musical instruments including vintage guitars, mandolins, ukelele’s, tongue drums, banjo’s, bongo drums, steel drums, drum sticks, tambourines and all kinds of accessories. It was my first time in this shop and definitely not my last 🙂
Before you buy your next musical instrument please stop in here and speak to Jay best experience I’ve ever had in a musical store.
such a great place! The owner talked with us for a while and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!
It is a private kind of shop, a bit more sedate and serious than 2 St, who. I also do business
It’s not Two Street Music but it’s music
Helpful and informative staff. They enjoy sharing music history and tips.
7. Coho Cottages
Address: 76 Willow Rd, Willow Creek, CA 95573 , Willow Creek , California , United States
Absolutely beautiful. Great experience and I recommend Coho Cottages whole heatedly.
Update: We were out in the area and decided to find a place to stay at the last minute, found Coho Cottages and booked on line. 10 minutes later we were there and all set up for the night. Amazing cottage, we stayed in the Fish Camp cottage and it looked and felt wonderful! Got the grill going and everything was perfect. Slept 6 of us comfortably and the kids were ready to move in for good.
️Absolutely Wonderful
️Peaceful ️Tranquil
Beautiful get away place. Very close to grocery store and has station. Has a BBQ and patio seating area. A bit over priced but it is clean and nicely decorated.
The cottages are not much to look at on the outside, but don’t be put off by that.
The room we had, the Tao room, is a rustic, cozy, one bedroom, with wood floors, antique style furniture, a nice bathroom stocked with many towels and accessories, and a large rainfall shower that is excellent and complemented by a skylight.
The room has a small inset that houses a refrigerator, microwave, and an excellent assortment of household items, including a sink to wash dishes, and an outside barbecue to cook on.
It also has a small porch with a table and two chairs
So, all in all, it is well taken care of, well stocked, and rather a nice place to spend the night. I recommend it. And the price is right at under $200 for the night.
The small town has a grocery store, several restaurants and gas stations, so basically it has most things that a traveler would want.
I came to these cottages last year and it still is on of the most memorable times I’ve had, This time around I got my reservation canceled even though I spoke to one of their employees letting them know that I will be showing up. I received no call letting me know the changes, I drove up 10 hours north just for them to tell me they rebooked my reservation. I’m very unpleased with the communication and customer service I received.
Great romantic get away. Really like the privacy. The porch is enclosed, the bed is comfy. You can dim the lights, theirs a BBQ, there was two sinks in the bathroom, and a big shower with a waterfall shower head and nice spa tub. My problem was the ants! Sorry, but the ants were all over the tub and shower. I didn’t even get to use the tub and that was the whole reason I paid $250. I love spa tubes. Their was ant poison set out and it was a sticky mess. I tried to clean up the ants and poison, but I wasn’t into it. Glad they werent in the bed. Some fancy soft towels and rags would be a good idea. Its makes it more worth the money. And A speaker/bluetooth/alarm clock would be nice. You can do everything online and go check in to your room without dealing with anyone. But if you need help you can call and they walk you through everything. Don’t know if I’ll go because of the ants. But i would consider, if I wasn’t buying.
Pros: the bathroom in the Fish Camp room is cool. Loved it!
Cons: there is a rock quarry nearby that makes a TREMENDOUS amount of noise, needless to say, this is not relaxing. The nearby grocery store is dirty, understaffed, and poorly stocked. This is in a tiny, depressing town with nothing to do and it’s not even pretty.
Of course, that’s not the hotel’s fault. But, when I called the office (there was no one there to check in with), I got a nasty response. “Are you going to stop talking now?” is literally what the woman said less than thirty seconds in. (I was desperate for the restroom and trying to figure out where one might be, so that interaction also set the tone.) We left the next morning but they didn’t check any messages until over 24 hours later so they didn’t even know; it was worth losing the money and not staying there another night. I guess all in all, our experience didn’t jibe with the ratings at all.
8. Mantova’s Two Street Music
Address: 124 2nd St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Willow Creek , California , United States
Great place to get musical instruments they are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have bought multiple instruments there and they are amazing quality instruments . They can always be depended on to help you find what you are looking for and what will work best for you. I won’t go any where else for my musical instruments and supplies .
Friendly and knowledgeable. Best drum department in Humboldt.
Eureka’s main music store which has a variety of musical instruments.
Over priced
Really Personable staff, seemed family owned and operator. What a quaint music store.
Good riteal store
I have a very expensive Martin D-42 and binding was loosed in a small area. I took my guitar in a guitar shop in Arcata. But they had referred me to a professional luthier. I went Mantova’s Two Street Music thinking it could be an easy fix. They had glued the binding but damaged the finish and leaving other marks on my guitar. The glue that they used specifically mentioned careful about damaging the finish. They had denied the damage and claimed the condition was pre existed. Be extremely careful dealing with this shop especially if you have high end instruments. Don’t leave your instrument with them. Their integrity is questionable.
Your website says you are open. So I drove into town. You’re closed. Yes covid 19. But update your site plz so that people don’t drive to eureka only to realize it was a waste of time and gas.
9. Music Connection
Address: 3086 Bechelli Ln, Redding, CA 96002 , Willow Creek , California , United States
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who actually care about your experience. Definitely the go-to place for guitars, accessories, and other instruments.
Open on Saturday
Great store . good selection . fair prices .
Its nice when I call in that I already don’t want to come in the man I talked sounded very low energy and just not really caring about what I needed or what I was even saying IDC if your so busy which you weren’t that you don’t want to take calls but I’m not coming in to have you or anybody else be rude and not really care about what I’m their for, so eventually I just say it’s ok I can probably find something then leave feeling disappointed. Seemed like a good reviewed guitar store but not when you barely want to say anything but uhhhhh we might have it butttt. Not the bad review type of person but I was irritated that it seems every guitar store was being not happy at all and rude. I have to drive far to get to Redding just to be directed to a hardware store which isn’t a bad idea just the lack of helpfulness and compassion for what your doing
Customer service is essential to me. I expect friendly staff that listen to me and try to help me. This is not that store. With unimpressive prices and staff, they convinced me not to go back.
Classical guitar strings are not sold here.
Sheet music: nearly all piano method books.
