Best service ever!!! Fina is the best of the best!! Always unique and beautiful souvenirs!! Recommended 100%
What a delightful shop! Every time I walk in, Josie has new offerings that just sparkle and make the best gifts. I’ve also taken one of her classes and find her so very helpful and encouraging! Thanks!
3. The Ajo Store
Address: 40 Plaza, Ajo, AZ 85321 , Ajo , Arizona , United States
I’ve had a good experience every time I’ve come here. Staff has been courteous, professional, and generous. Prices are pretty reasonable.
Love this thrift store. I don’t live in Ajo but visit the store everytime I come down. I always kind great stuff and get it for such a great deal. The ladies that work there are always so nice and helpful.
Love it……go in knowing that it is what it is. Sift through the boxes or scan the huge selection of used books. I like they have Danielle Steele books on a Weds special. Hilarious!
A good place to find a deal
Good deals and some friendly staff. I’ve overhead some really insensitive remarks about customers from staff, including comments about race and disabilities. I won’t be shopping here again. This has occurred on various visits throughout the years they’ve been open and with the name change.

Lots of carts between aisles. At least 4 completely blocked. I don’t see this in DG stores across this country. PLEASE HELP US TO ENJOY SHOPPING AT DOLLAR GENERAL.!!!!

It’s a flea market with various vendors selling new and used items. You can find anything from clothing, incense, plants, furniture to freshly roasted Ajo coffee beans all at reasonable prices. The owner/operator Victor is wonderful. If you can’t find it at 3 Nations chances are he’ll find it elsewhere for you. Love love this place.
Always surprises to be found.
This was amazing. There are a lot of vendors with “different ” items. Bought some really cute things.
Great place to get second hand items
Been stopping here for years and it has changed quite a bit the last year, the staff is still very friendly though. They rearranged the inside a bit but I think it looks bigger and brighter. Fun place to stop and look around because you never know what you will find, bring change though, they can always use it. I was there last Sunday 01/08/2023 and Ajo Pie Pizza, which I had not seen there before, was there so I had to try it and it was delicious. Recommended!
A great place to stop and explore, you never know what treasures you’ll find! There are many vendor booths here and prices vary from booth to booth. I bought an adorable new (original tags still on it ) blue-green jacket for $2!! They offer a large variety of items from clothes, shoes, antiques, vintage, sports, CD’s, DVD’s, books, signs, furniture pieces and so much more. It’s located just south of the Ajo square in a large looking barn. Stop in, stretch your legs and look around…lots of interesting things to see!
Visiting AJO on Nov.3,4,5 and will be leaving on Nov 6th Saturday.
Place WAS NOT open on Thursday Nov 4. And NOT OPEN on Friday Nov 5th. Tried both days at 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00pm.
On Web page and Facebook states winter hours open from 10:00a.m.-6:00p.m.
What’s the deal??????
7. Ajo Plaza
Address: 85321 Plaza, Ajo, AZ 85321 , Ajo , Arizona , United States
Beautiful plaza in a quaint town with lots of history
This is an interesting and attractive little town and plaza. Built by mining companies. There are not a lot of businesses, but Oasis coffee, and a thrift store or highlights for us. There is an adorable and well-run library as well. Really nice place to hang out with a book and a iced coffee.
There is a visitor center in the train depot on the east side of the plaza, and outside there is a free walking guide map that will give you a little history of the town.
Deserted and a little sad, but remnants of an earlier affluence remain in the churches and mission-style buildings around the square.
A few stores in the plaza, a small walking park, the library, post office, and the old train station. What was a nice historic part of our community has been covered in political “art” more a kin to graffiti.
I’m giving the plaza two stars but there’s a potential for 5 as demonstrated during holiday events. Unfortunately the most interesting features at present are the library, a nice art gallery and a yoga studio. These places do not generate enough business locally to have normal business hours or to stay open year around. Best to call ahead and ensure they are open if visiting a specific shop. Friday and Saturday mornings are usually the highest foot traffic times.
8. De-No Music Center
Address: 801 E Florence Blvd # B, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 , Ajo , Arizona , United States
Looked like they had a great selection, I didn’t find everything I was looking for but thats just because I’m left handed and was asking for niche items like sharp picks and portable battery powered amps, not necessarily their fault, just keep in mind there’s no lefty guitars here. But other than that it seemed like a neat place, and the people were friendly. Will for sure go back for my other musical needs that aren’t so niche
Dana rocks!!!
Great service and great guitar setup
Went here for my daughter… staff was super nice and friendly… made everything so easy…
Allways an excellent job on my guitars that I have taken in to have work done! Friendly and knowledgeable service !
Best music shop.
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
9. Instrumental Music Center Speedway
Address: 7063 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710 , Ajo , Arizona , United States
Always a pleasure to come in and look around. Very clean, neat and organized in comparison to the other instrumental stores in the area.
Great!
Decent selection and staff very knowledgeable
Selection of instruments was good, nice and friendly staff.
Nice Store
This bad review concerns Maria Ferraz, piano teacher. Our initial meeting seemed positive and I felt comfortable with her with my three year old son. To make sure he was ready to be taught piano, according to her, we set another appointment the following Saturday. This time she wasn’t as nice and patient. I was outside the room while she stayed in the room with my son. To begin, my son is three. He is a very curious boy. This particular day he wasn’t wanting to sit and learn. As I peeled through the window, I saw Maria force his little hand to play the piano. My son resisted and just sat there staring up. She then yells at him, “What are you looking at? What are you looking at?” She turned to see if I was standing there and she just nodded her head. I opened the door and grabbed my son.
I also want to point out that she has a lot of pictures, posters, just stuff in her tiny room enough to distract anyone much more a three year old. Also, if she doesn’t have the patience it takes to teach a three year old, then you shouldn’t advertise that you do. And lastly, you have no right to yell at my son or any child who doesn’t have the ability to fully comprehend what is happening, what you are asking, or able to express his emotions with proper vocabulary to answer your ridiculous questions!
Beware of this woman and always keep an eye on your child when you are not in the room.
I’m not sure what this store is doing but I’m pretty sure it is illegal. I did a Google search for Metronome Music and when I clicked on the link this store came up. I don’t like being misled or deceived and I will never take my business here. Shame on you
Place is ok but prices are high
10. Music & Arts
Address: 8320 N Thornydale Rd Suite 150/170, Tucson, AZ 85741 , Ajo , Arizona , United States
As a musical “novice” I have always been uncomfortable entering a music store. Both Heaven and the owner (didn’t catch his name) helped me feel totally at ease with my newby questions. I found a guitar package online that I liked, but wanted to shop locally so I asked if they had a similar deal. They had something right on the sales floor that turned out to be a better deal than I found online! Totally no pressure salesmanship here. It felt very much like the sales staff isn’t there to try to line their pockets, but they work there because they love music. One of my new favorite stores in Tucson.
Ben, is the music teacher you are looking for. He is very patient, very knowledgeable and never criticizes you. If you want to learn to play an instrument Ben is definitely the music teacher you are looking for.
Great store with knowledgeable staff and good prices.
Just want to say that I am a fan of this store. I think they do a great job at helping people find what they are looking for and have them leaving satisfied with their musical purchases. With that being said, I want to make a point that only having one store closer is unsafe. Multiple times in the past year I have heard of there being theft. I’m concerned for the employees’ safety and customer safety.
Protect your employees! They make the company money!
Abit more expensive than the guitar center.
Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and distance with masks observed! Awesome place to learn music as well as purchase quality music products.
I was very unhappy with the way this store sold us an instrument after we rented one for over two years. We qualified for the rental credit and it was given to us. The problem was that they valued the used rental instrument at $800+ and they sell the same one brand new for about $470. The reason they do that is that there is a clause that states that when using the rental credit one must buy an instrument that cost the same or more than the rental so they jack up the value of the rental. We were told that we couldn’t buy the flute we had been renting and could not get a new flute because it wasn’t equal or more value to the one we had been renting per terms of our agreement. They said that our only option was to purchase a used refurbished flute from the warehouse and it would be sent to us. We feel that this is a very shady way to do business. Not recommended. Updated; Thank you for your reply too, owner of the store. I have already sent an email but thanks for suggesting it.
The worst place ever.. Always pay my rental before its do and yet still get notices in the mail saying not paid.. They never get the billing correct.. I even got a collection letter 2 months after I even returned the instrument in and have proof of paid in full yet they say it was a computer problem.. This place sucks.. Never doing business with them again..
I used to be loyal customer for years. Howerver, M&A’s new strategy of “Paperless receipts”, requires that I provide my email address for a purchase. Their “paperless reciept” excuse is nothing more than a strategic excuse to obtain email addresses so they can spam. When I stated I do not provide my email, they refused to sell me a service. I have since found a local music store that is more friendly and will no longer use M&A.
