2. RockTown Music
Address: 3411 Main St STE.4, Bryant, AR 72022 , Alexander , Arkansas , United States
They did great work and Im extremely happy with their work. They had an excellent turnaround time and the guys at the shop were friendly. They went the extra mile and even explained where I went wrong. Really brought the guitar to life.
Very experienced and knowledgeable, and always helpful! I’ve had several guitar setups done here, always very happy with the results!
I met a super cool guy last week. His name is David McFarland and he is the owner of RockTown Music in Little Rock, AR. I was flying into Little Rock from Denver to do a single show at the Robinson Center. I needed a small amp for my acoustic guitar. David agreed to rent me an amp for the day. Because I was just coming in for the one gig and had a really tight turnaround, David graciously agreed to deliver the amp to the venue for me, right when I needed it. If this were not enough, again because of an even tighter turnaround from the gig back to the airport, Mr. McFarland even agreed to pick up the amp AND ME and drop me off at the airport! Wow! What a guy! I never met the guy before in my life and he totally helped make my trip a breeze! This is someone who knows how to go the extra mile (quite literally!). This is an owner who understands what “customer service” means and isn’t afraid to make things work, even if it might be a bit outside the box. I wish RockTown was in Denver! David, you have a new friend in Denver and if there is ever a way I can help you out, you know how to find me!
Nice, friendly environment. This guys is experienced in his craft and genuine in the way he conducts business. A rare find these days.
Great spot, super amount of knowledge and experience with repairs among other services. Same problem everybody else has with out of stock items here and there.
I took my 2001 Les Paul to Bryon and Dave in February 2019 for a basic set up. I bought it new and always stored it in the case and very rarely had it out. Very careful with it. The guitar only had one very small blemish on the front. When I got it back it had several deep dents on top edge close to the back and a couple dents in the back itself. They swear they did not damage it but I know for a fact it wasn’t damaged when I dropped it off. I had just polished it before I took it there. Bryon had promised it would be ready Saturday the 23RD and it was not. He then told me it would be ready the following Monday which it was. I’m not sure if they just got in a hurry or what exactly happened but they pointed to the paperwork stating they were not responsible for any damage…. Not a good way to run a business. I should have inspected it and made note of any defect with them before dropping it off. Lesson learned!!!
After many attempts trying to visit this place because it has been closed. I finally went into the store today and found the guy Dave not to be very friendly or welcoming. So I only stayed a few minutes. I won’t ever be back!
Took a vintage martin guitar for repair. Ended up with a bad experience. I’ll just leave it at that.
3. Brock Paul
Address: 4701 Cliff Ct, Alexander, AR 72002 , Alexander , Arkansas , United States
Quick and easy to get in and out of with affordable prices.
This is a very busy location so it tends to get a little messy in there.
The employee s accuse people for stealing..
You can count pn Dollar General when you need it
Never stocked and there are always boxes blocking some of the aisles towards the back, you literally cant get down those aisles. I’m sure what’s in those boxes is what’s missing on the shelves, staff just seems too lazy to do anything about it. Several times the cashiers were too busy talking to each other to check me out. Definitely the worst dollar general I’ve been to
Staff here is a joke they will literally talk on their personal cellphone while ringing you up this is absolutely absurd, and by the way i’m a customer service manager
Never stocked up abd not enough people working

If you’re a musician then you’ll love GC! Their prices are a bit high but they will price match with Amazon if it’s sold directly by Amazon.
The sales force is extremely helpful and they are knowledgeable on the instruments they sell. Also, your are allowed to grab a guitar plug it in and test play before making a choice.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff
Nice store nice items very nice very helpful staff ..
Hit or miss with the staff. Some are helpful, some won’t even acknowledge you. Good selection of guitars. Prices are ok.
I guess you need to be a musician to be worthy of help at Guitar Center. I called them earlier today because I wanted to purchase a banjo and lessons. I am not a musician and have never really played an instrument, but I have always wanted to learn to play Bluegrass on the banjo. The friendly gentlemen I spoke to on the phone (no need to mention names online) told me to come in and ask for him.
I went by there this afternoon and he said he had to leave for a lunch break, but he could show me where the banjos were located. So he pointed me to a wall of banjos and then left for his lunch break. I understand needing to take a lunch break…no worries at all…but I asked if someone else could help and supposedly someone was going to come help me.
So after standing there picking up random banjos for 20 minutes, and feeling like a total idiot, I went up to the front desk and asked for help and asked a couple of questions.
I was told he would check on my question. I walked around the store for about 10-15 minutes, always within sight of the front desk, and saw multiple people arrive and get help. I sat on a stool for a while and finally a different gentleman came up to answer my question and I said I came in to get a banjo and sign up for lessons and that I needed someone to show me the banjos and answer questions. I was interested in a nicer used one (more expensive) versus the lower-end new models. He asked me to wait a moment and he went to the desk to answer a returns questions for another sales rep. That was no problem, they are busy, but he then moved on and helped other people. I stood around for another 10 minutes or so thinking he would return. I again watched as they helped other people that not only came in after me, but even ones as they arrived through the door. And at different points in time the gentleman behind the desk was helping no one at all and even looked over at me a couple of times.
They were clearly very busy, and I do understand that. But I was ignored consistently and felt foolish. I had cash in hand and was ready to make the purchase. I was really disappointed and felt silly…like I really didn’t belong there.
I am not big on writing negative reviews, but this really bothered me so I thought I would share my experience so other people new to the music scene will at least be aware of my experience. Perhaps this was an anomaly…I just don’t know.
WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!!! I paid $32 for a tuner, I found that tuner on ebay & amazon for $10?? I don’t know how they get away with it? Shop online before shopping there.
Was told one price and then told another price of one hundred more when we went to check out

Brandons is such a great guitar tech. And hes also a Great person.
Absolutely top notch service. They’ve done a great job on several instruments for me. I would give them 6 stars but 5 is all I can. Update: The two guitar players that I play with and myself continue to use Renown and we have never been disappointed. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Just a fantastic local business.
I cannot endorse Brandon Toney and his company, Renown Music, enough.
