Such an amazing teacher! I just started learning a couple weeks ago from him and honestly one of the best out there. The tablas are not even questionable. Quality is top tier. Keep up the work bhaji!
Phenomenal teacher. Really takes time to make sure fundamentals are solid. Quality tabla’s too for sale. I just got a set and it’s amazing!!
Ustad Rajvinder Singh ji is one of the best tabla players of our generation. He is a really great player and teacher, and has a great teaching style. He also sells quality tablas. Fully recommend him to anyone!

Support this great small business for all the right reasons. Craig does an excellent job, and has some really nice sounding tubes. If you live on the left coast and dig tube amps you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to checkout. Customer service is responsive, shipping fast, tubes are of great quality. A+
The place I go to get my various vacuum tubes for all my guitar amplifier. They have the best inventory in Sacramento. The best prices best inventory.

As a musician I wanted a space where I could freely create music and be creative. DNL Studios is the perfect place because not only are they open 24/7 but it gives musicians a very spacious room to transform into the inspiring artist they want to be. There are full bands and producers along with amazing guitarist that are typically in these rooms. Everyone who rents is always so friendly and really nice people. Would definingly recommend getting a room here if you’re able too 100% worth it.
The place is rad and it’s run by great people! Love it there
Fantastic rehearsal spaces. There is an awesome growing community of musicians here. Great vibes and the landlord is easy to get into contact with.
Very cool, very hip place to jam. Only issue I have is that tenants are actively smoking weed in their units. Smells terrible and is very inconsiderate to ought tenants. Not to mention, I’m a federal employee
I’ve been shopping numerous places locally to find an acoustic electric guitar (along with on-line, I’ve been to 4 music stores), and was expecting it would cost me $500-1000 to find something I really liked. I found Tague Music by asking google to find music store near me. I went in to see if they had anything ‘d like, and a young guy suggested I should consider adding electronics to my old Art & Lutherie Cedar Acoustic – it made me feel pretty stupid because that had never crossed my mind, and no one at any of the other stores had suggested it. It took them a couple days, and I just picked it up, and it’s fabulous — the sound is crisp, clean and balanced! They also did a basic set up and replaced the saddle. It was great to play before, but now it’s even easier. This was under $300!! And I didn’t end up having to get a different guitar. I feel bad that I didn’t get any names, but the three guys I met were outstanding, and they have a great dog on site!
Amazing staff all around, incredibly friendly. I take lessons from Billy here and he’s amazing. He noticed my Les Paul bowing and suggested I bring it over so I did. Brian? immediately helped me and knew exactly what to do to fix it. Even though the bowing was pretty bad, he was able to straighten it out extremely well and the guitar works almost like new again. Will come here for all advice, instrument repair, purchasing products, etc. as long as I am playing guitar.
Tague Music repaired my VERY old Holton 178 (40 or 50 years). The thumb trigger valve had been catching for years, and now works great. I love playing my horn again, AND the price was very reasonable! Previous work at Tim’s Music was NOT as good. I’m really glad I found Tague Music!
Did a great job repairing a trumpet fir mu son! Really nice people.!
The store was open but I even didn’t get to get in the store, I saw the atendent from outside and he just made a hands sign that I should wait.
Regina is a wonderful teacher who taught me more than simply playing notes from a peice of paper, she taught me to enjoy and love the music that I am playing. I am very thankful to have a teacher like her
Regina is very talented piano teacher! She motivates her students to participate in multiple competitions. It’s a complete game changer when ur young pianist comes home with a trophy or medal ! We love Regina!
Regina is an amazing teacher. She is very patient and really wants to see her students as successful piano players. She tries her best explain and teach in ways that are easy and understandable for each student. She may be strict but in a very good way. She is very good at motivating her students to learn and to be interested in piano lessons. 100 percent recommend Regina to everyone!
Skips Music i has awesome employee
Eric helped me in the guitar department. Jacob fantastic person who helped ring me up in the store. They are all so kind and happy to be working for skips.
Truly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Such a better experience than guitar center.
Skip’s is a cool place to chill at. The service is good staff is grate.
These folks are always great. You have to be good with informal, but it’s great because you’re just chatting about instruments with other people who love instruments. You going to Guitar Center? Skip’s is 10 minutes away…go there after before you buy.
Buenos productos electricos ..
It saddens me to write this review.
As a retail store i have never had a problem tho i have not tried to return something to them.
As far as tech services go it’s an absolute joke.
Do not have them service your equipment.
Whats a guitar shop good for that can’t set up a Floyd rose guitar?
Absolutely nothing.
First time in came back un tunable and not even set up the locking nuts where not even tightened, fret buzz, whammy bar loose.
Brought it back said they could give me half the money back. I told Oscar to plug it in and play it, and charge me what he felt was right he refused.”That would have been the right thing to do” and explained his straw boss ness and how he didn’t have authority to give me more money back. Rather than loose 64 bucks for just having strings half assdly put on and given no other options. i decide to give them a chance to remedy it. Also no apology for wasting my time and insulting me w the poor quality and absolute lack of Q.C.
get it back again not tuned and mostly set up intonations in the ball park the guitar tech gets a snark $10 tuner from the guitar tech room? to check my intonation. The techs are using a $10 dollar tuner not a rack tuner or even a decent tuner.
I’d be happier if i had just flushed 128 bucks down the toilet.
Again zero apology for wasting my time and trying to give me back my guitar w/o finishing the work.
I wish i had read the reviews before bringing it in. i thought they where a reputable shop. If i hadn’t tried to have them repair something i could still shop there and like them.
Great place to get music supplies ,the problem is the staff drum section the employee was very rude and sarcastic when I asked him if he had something in a lower price range he said good luck with that and walked away. Definitely need to learn customer service.
Returned rental and continued to be charged. Had to come back in person twice to get charges reversed. Better off going somewhere else to rent instruments, ripoff place!
Teachers are great, the customer service is great. What’s not to love.
I went to the Strum Shop where I was greeted by Dr. Dan, a very nice man who seems knowledgeable about acoustic instruments. he was super helpful and told me my guitar would be done in 2 days. I got it back the next day. The work was pretty good and the string rattle was fixed but I discovered a couple weeks later he had made a new slot for the high E string on the nut (which I didn’t ask for) and as a result the strings are now not evenly spaced. I have to get a new nut put on now which is disappointing.
He did put a new pickup on for a fair price which works great and I appreciate that! It’s a very nice guitar shop run by very nice folks. I’m sure I’ll go back at some point but I’m a little bummed about having to get a new nut put on as a result of the initial work.
High Prices
Nice, small town feel when you are in the store. Prices are a bit on the high side, but that is to be expected for a mom and pop kind of store. Helpful service.
I originally came in to get a new nut cut for my Gibson SG. The repair took longer and cost more than originally advertised, and the repair man left several issues that I had to fix myself (buzzing on A and low E, new tuning problems due to roughness of nut slots, high action, used strings other than the ones I’d left for him and specifically asked for him to use). Fortunately, however, when I brought this up with the shop, out of the $50 that I was charged, I was refunded $40 labor cost. (Still on the hook for $10 though).
EDIT: The manager for the Strum Shop started hassling me over text message after I posted this review. LOL.
They lost my instrument and won’t return my calls. I brought an instrument in for repairs, they gave to their vendor, I talked with the vendor and he said it would be done in two weeks. After a month with no word I started calling, and they have ignored all messages I’ve left.
Went in and there was a class going on with 20+ people crammed into a tiny space, not one of them wearing a mask. Only one other person in the entire store had one on, none of the staff. Fully 1/3rd of Sac Co. is completely unvaccinated. I’m immune compromised [along with some 7,000,000 other American citizens] & disabled. The ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM of decency and community protection is apparently an outrageous expectation. They also had some absurd overpricing. I vastly prefer non-corporate local stores, but they can F right off if they’re not going to do even the simplest, most pitifully minor actions to do their part in not further spreading a wildly uncontrolled global pandemic that has killed nearly a million U.S. humans, and is far from over. Still averaging a quarter million cases a day, and over 2,000 deaths [more than any time since last winter, still]. They don’t even REQUEST that people wear some kind of face covering. Reprehensible madness, and unless this changes I will not support or recommend them to my musician friends. Please be better, nobody should be forced to exclude themselves from society JUST because of laziness or ignorance and non-measures that throw disabled folks under the bus.
