Food was good but it took alot longer then should have
McDonald’s is always good for a quick and cheap bite to eat.
This had to be the worst restaurant on the planet. A complete waste of time!!!
Sat in the inter drive thru for almost 20 minutes as the employee continued to help customer after customer in the outer drive thru when I reminded her that there were two lines she snapped back “I know that but you are just going to have to wait” then proceeded to help the outer lane again. So I parked demanded to speak to the manager who was totally indifferent to the whole situation. Totally unacceptable.
Food was luke warm and iced macchiato was the worst one I’ve ever had from McDonald’s
4. Flash Foods
Address: 823 E Washington Ave, Ashburn, GA 31714 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Clean in store and everyone working there was very helpful and friendly.
Good prices and service
Excellent Gas Station and great service
Nice friendly staff
It’s ok
Good place for gas and food

Bathrooms are the dirtiest in Ga guarantee.
If I could give a Zero I would. Standing here looking at 3 cashiers, one of which is not doing anything. One told me to go see another after I had already waited in line. The other tries to send me back. Both refusing to take my money. I just wanted to prepay for diesel… It’s not that hard. Oh well the Shell station is cheaper anyway.
5. Rockys Music
Address: 113 Front St, Sylvester, GA 31791 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Always friendly and professional, Rocky has what you need at good prices
Rocky is from the old school, but he is with the times. He offers competitive pricing, a large selection of items he can get quick, and he knows his stuff. He is very efficient and skilled in modifying, repairing and setting up guitars and basses.
He has always seemed as honest as the day is long and in my decades of knowing him, I have never experienced anything on the contrary. I highly recommend this place!
Great store, nice people.
Do not in fact open at 10.
6. Parker Music
Address: 404 N Westover Blvd, Albany, GA 31707 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Always professional service and always got my Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings, and a few nylon pickets to go.
Buy my musical here
Very nice place I pop in once in a while to meet people and check out their selection and say hello their always very nice
Low selection on music equipment, little pricey.. $$$
This store is great if you’re looking for pianos, guitars, or some band instruments. I’m disappointed that they don’t carry more of a variety of hand drums. The people are very helpful & nice there.
Pretty down to earth store.
I had my guitar amp on consignment for almost a year at the store and finally had to come pick it up as I was moving away. When I asked if anyone had any interest they said they had plenty but there were no offers. At no point had I received any calls of what people were offering. Also when I picked it up I thought the amp had been damaged as there was barely any sound coming out of my 120w monster. They had no idea what was going on and only offered to have it looked at by a tech. I brought it home instead of letting them keep it any longer. Only after five seconds of looking in the back I identified they had connected the speakers to the line out instead of the power outputs which could have permanently damaged my amplifier. This store has no idea on how to sell anything or even how to set up, operate or even maintain equipment.
Not happy with how Ive been treated Was sold a Teton guitar – was told how great a guitar it was. I traded my Martin- it has been a nightmare since. Ive been thru Two Teton guitars and all have failed to work properly. I was told I would be called back and this store wont honor anything they say
Buyer Beware!! They do not stand behind what they sell!! Worse experience Ive had with a music store in quite some time.
If they all you guys say they are then why haven’t they answer their phone and I been calling since they opened at 10:00
7. Portman’s Music
Address: 2403 Westgate Dr, Albany, GA 31707 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Super friendly! Very reasonable repair service. Highly recommended for all of your school band needs!
They couldnt be any nicer. Their customer service is impeccable. They have a decent selection of all types of musical instruments and accessories. I highly recommend portmans music.
Loved it people their were so nice definitely going back
I wanted to know is this the type of music store that gives singing lessons. I’m trying to find a vocal coach
Cannot say much. Open late close early and Sunday. There are few music supply stores in this part of central and south Georgia and none seem to try to cater to people who have regular jobs and cannot get there early to buy their stuff.
Portman’s music in Albany was great helpful and friendly. This is the second school term with me renting my daughters flute. I have been having trouble with the RUDENESS when I call in inquiring about my bill through the Savannah number. When I kept asking questions it always ends with “you can just return the instrument.” I called Wednesday to make a payment and ended up getting hung up on because I was told the same thing and guess what today they called my daughter school saying call them immediately! (Mr Rogers) why call my child school she doesn’t make the payment even the school was upset about the message when clearly they have my number and I answer and return calls when they try to debit my card and it’s locked I unlock it and make the payment but lately no calls just $100 payments taken off when I pay $33 a month.
8. Ashburn
Address: Georgia 31714 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Great place to buy from and take lessons. Staff is highly knowledgeable.
After extremely rude service at the another music store in town, my husband and I came to this business with our questions. A gentleman at the counter assisted us and was very professional and helpful! I’ll definitely be coming back to purchase any equipment we need from now on.
Excellent guitar shop, they set up my guitar very professionally.
Small business owners who are good at fixing and repairing instruments.
I didn’t buy anything today but Chase was so friendly and helpful, when I’m ready I’ll be buying from them.
Not easy to find but I was in and out in 5 minutes. They had what I wanted and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend it.
I used to take all my guitars to Ben when I lived here in the mid/late 90’s and it was always great! Not sure what happened, but I will NEVER let them touch my guitar again.
Took my guitar to get a few adjustments. Nothing major. Needed intonation, a small nut spur on the high e, and new strings(which I supplied.) Got the call 2 days later that it was ready. I grabbed it, paid my $70 and took off. I trusted them, so I gave it a quick glance and that was it.
Got it home and pulled it out. Hmm. My Floyd Rose Bridge was uneven, guitar was out of tune, and these were NOT the strings I gave. Tuned it up and the intonation was WORSE, still a spur on the high e, and when I tried my trem it wouldn’t budge. Wth.
Opened the back and they had BLOCKED my trem, not even a good blocking as the bridge was uneven. Didn’t touch the nut, didn’t even attempt intonation, and to add insult to injury they stole my NYXL strings. Including the extra set in the case.
Shameful how far they have fallen.
They where nice
Garbage
10. Attina’s Music Store Inc.
Address: 378 Glynn St N, Fayetteville, GA 30214 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Attinas is a great music store. I just very recently had a misunderstanding with the shop and the shop owner was still very flexible with dealing with a child. I just want to apologize for what i said and i will come personally to apologize. I highly advise attinas! Any misunderstanding you have with them will be taken care of by the hardworking dedicated workers there that have been working there for 52 years! They are reliable, understanding, and very professional. Highly advise !
I have known John Attina since 1982,have bought a lot of drums and P.A gear through out the years, His reputation is top notch, his knowledge is astronomical, if your going to purchase any type of musical gear get it from Attina’s.
Awesome people here. Great advice on a first guitar setup for our son. Fantastic guitar lessons, had him playing Metallica in a short period of time! Thanks John for your help!
Most of the time they have what I need
Good selection
This is a really great store with loads of musical equipment, basically everything you need and they also give guitar lessons here taught by highly skilled and competent professionals. I would recommend this store to anyone.
Expensive, great variety
Guy was on phone the whole time…and we waited. Not sure this is the norm but it was my one and only visit
It was obvious that my presence was causing discomfort to the manager/cashier/whatever. I was not allowed to play a certain Epiphone Les Paul (not even a Gibson) because ‘they wanted to keep it clean’. I am a frikin professional guitarist with 11 years of experience and no music stores have ever denied me of handling an instrument. Highly offending for a first time visitor’s impression.
Go to Guitar Center and avoid this place, you’ll be glad you did.
11. Attina’s Music Store Inc
Address: 155 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, GA 30253 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Went to the store to have an instrument cleaned. The staff was amazing. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Better yet they were very quick to complete the service we needed. I would recommend the store to anyone looking for a music store.
Love this place! Great people, great selection and convenient location.
Great service
This is a small music instrument shop with a good selection of instruments ranging from guitars to band instruments like trumpet. They offer repairs for instruments. Not sure how well priced the repairs are but I did buy some books from for a pretty good price.
Kind, thorough, customer service!
Quick and efficient service! I called to confirm that had an item in stock, and they did. When I arrived, they had the item at the register, I paid, and left. Perfect! I was there all of 5 minutes!
They were friendly, but we kinda felt they were stand offish because my husband was asking all kinds of questions and we kinda felt that they was tired of being asked the many questions that my husband asked. They had a low selection of items and we felt that we was being pushed out of the store because he asked us a few times if we was ready to check out. So after a few times of being asked we checked out and left. Not sure if we will be going back or if we will make the hour trip to Fayetteville for all of our needs.
12. Zaxby’s Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings
Address: 812 E Washington Ave, Ashburn, GA 31714 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
There has been times where everyone was more hanging out and having fun than concentrating on the public. This time however I have to say, you can see the teamwork, I was greeted instantly, and my food was given to me promptly and I can’t say enough, I’m so in love with the teamwork this go round!! I’m a happy customer today and I hope to see more of this!! Also my food was delicious and hot it doesn’t get much better than this!!
Always good
Awesome Buffaloed salad. Gotta love the insane sauce! Unfortunately, the drink machine had about a third of the drinks were out.
Good service
Over salty!
If you want horrible service and rude employees add a touch of poor customer service this is the place
Chicken was hard fries were cold zaxby sauce was nasty I asked for honey mustard she charged me extra I told her I didn’t want zaxby sauce
13. Music Go Round – Atlanta/Duluth, GA
Address: 3675 Satellite Blvd # 100, Duluth, GA 30096 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
I’ve bought and sold music gear here, the staff is super nice and very knowledgeable.
I recently bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio from this location that I had been eyeing for months. I had been in contact with Alex over the phone, prior to making the trip to the store. Alex gave me a good deal, and I could not be happier with my purchase. He was professional, helpful, and down to earth. Thanks again!
Ex Marine Corps Band purchased really nice case for my stingray bass.Great Price. Thanks MGR
Great selection and great prices. Very helpful and friendly staff.
It’s a really awesome place I love that they mainly have used instruments
Super friendly and helpful staff. The majority of the guitars are accessible to try without needing assistance, unlike GC. They seem to have comparable or lower prices than Reverb. One con is some of the guitars need new strings and a setup.
Went in today to buy a few picks around 12 this afternoon. After grabbing a few, I went to pay for them. The guy in front of me just bought an amp and left to get his car to load his equipment up. I was standing there waiting to pay for my stuff and the guy behind the counter (without even acknowledging me) just walked away. I can’t imagine he didn’t see me. I’ve shopped there off and on for years and I never go out of my way to leave bad reviews, but this place earned it. I teach guitar and used this place for books, picks, and other things. I’m very understanding towards employees in retail and usually won’t make an issue out of most things. But, I was completely ignored and I won’t refer my students to ever go to this place to pick up anything they may need.
The drive threw took 20 minutes so many cars in line to order inside was closed. They need more help inside so people want have to wait so long on the order.
Stay away and do not support this joke of a music store…Look at anything advertised on their site. Then look at the shipping cost! For example, they charge $96 to ship a 3 pound cymbal! What tops the cake is the worst customer service you receive via phone or direct email. “We rather sell it in the store that’s why we charge so much for shipping.” Yeah, you read right: I actually was verbally told this via phone…and to back this up, they refuse to give the business owners name and claim the “Floor Manager Naeem” is the store owner and shot caller…who is the reason behind this disgusting practice. Ann Wood is the owner. Be sure to call and ask for her if you have the same issues and she’s the real problem. This review was posted after experiencing the same situation twice here, and four other times nationwide. Do not buy anything here, shop where service and fair market value is the standard.
14. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
I went up there with a drumstick and asked if I could record some sounds on my phone. The guy was hesitant at first but let me do it and even set up a snare drum for me. Super nice guy. Customer service was top notch. Good prices on all the instruments as well.
Very friendly staff. Bought a Fender Strat about a month ago (Sept.2017) and no major issues so far. I will suggest to them that when they sell a product, like a guitar, they should put a set of new strings on it before turning it over to the customer. When I tune my strat, it loses the tune before I can finish pllaying the first song. Otherwise I will continue using Jackson Music in Buford, GA.
Their cordial staff was an eye-opener; I haven’t experienced such expertise in one’s craft until I walked into that store. On a Saturday, one staff member was even helpful enough to call up a rep, who only works on weekdays, to answer my questions, and he did so willingly and insisted on not hanging up until I was more than satisfied.
I like buying local. I got good service on a brass instrument repair. ( I didn’t try to use a pick )
Employees know there job but convenience is a -1
Always pleasant – always professional and it’s been that way since I moved into the area!
I’ve read some of the complaints here and I’ve not had those experiences and I shop there a couple times a year. I also understand how smaller music stores value the integrity of their new products by trying to limit maring the guitar finish with picks. You wanna do that you’re right- go to Guitar Center.
First rate staff and ownership and first rate lessons with an experienced staff!
I’ll keep going back!
My music teacher wants me to have a metronome. Went in looking for a metronome. They didn’t have any, which was odd for a music store, but I wasn’t upset about it. On my way out, another associate clarified that they don’t carry metronomes because most people simply use their phones; totally reasonable. I clarified that I prefer a physical metronome, and I’d look somewhere else. The associate then told me that “professionals and real musicians use the app” and undermined my preference for a physical one. “The customer is always right” is not a maxim held by Jackson’s music. They assert that they know best, and in my experience come across as somewhat unhelpful and arrogant.
If I could give zero or lower stars I would. My son’s saxophone gave him problems from the start. I was told on 4 occasions to bring it in. Today Brandon told me he would finally be in, he wasn’t. When I didn’t understand the question to do you have others I could look at, he responded “I have two eyes”. Rude beyond belief! Never again Jackson Music and I’ll make sure to share this with the band families at all the schools I work with as an administrator. Horrible customer service! UPDATE: The nice woman owner called and apologized. I forgive her and believe she doesn’t condone that type behavior.
I just went in to get son a guitar and then guy in dreads is supposedly the manager and it was an issue for him to even help us. I asked to see his manager and he lied and said he wasnt in. And then he told me to leave. Do not go to this store. Go somewhere where they want your business.
15. Allseasons Music Store
Address: 460 W Cherry St, Jesup, GA 31545 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
a wonderful, veteran owned music shop. the owner was extremely helpful in helping me find what i needed. he also let me play any instrument i wanted to in the shop, making my experience one to remember. being in the military, it was very enjoyable having a conversation with someone else, who served before my time. he also informed me he will be opening a bigger store soon!
Friendly service
Allseason Music Store sells everything you want in the store.
Man they’ve got some nice stuff in there!
Great people really good service would have given 5 stars but prices are not competitive
At least 15% higher than Guitar center
It’s ok for this size town but if you’re looking for music you have to order it. Very nice personnel.
16. Barlow Amusement & Music Co., Inc.
Address: 832 Pine Ave, Albany, GA 31701 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Absolutely could not be happier with the service! We ordered a new table in the middle of December, and it was delivered and installed on time, during a torrential storm! The installation went perfectly, and the table is incredibly level (plays beautifully!). And some of the nicest, most knowledgeable guys I’ve met! If you need a new pool table or an existing one serviced, give them a call!!!
Barlow Amusement came to my house in Leesburg, GA took my pool table apart for us for our new move back to the beach, theyput a new felt on it and delivered it to our new home in Mexico Beach Florida. They are fantastic. Bubba and his coworker were amazing they were fast and it was a job well, well done. I highly recommend anyone to contact Bubba Barlow amusements, thank you again for a great job that you both did. you were amazing, again I can’t stress enough how I highly recommend Barlow Amusement and Music company for your pool tables moving needs or anything for that matter.
17. Earthshaking Music
Address: 648 McDonough Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30315 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Brought in my lezzi for a neck issue I was failing to get out myself, and they fixed it up smooth and cheap. Been told by more than one local musician that they are the best techs around. From a quick scan of their inventory, they seem to lean toward higher end beginner and intermediate gear. Full service musician shop. Drums guitar bass…
Do yourself and the music world a favor and stay away from Guitar Center
love this place! everyone in my band Bird Dog Jubilee goes to support them especially in these trying times
Look – if you are a musician in ATL — ESPECIALLY A DRUMMER – there is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else. Even if the good places – ATL PRO PERC and the place in Smyrna were still open, Earthshaking is still that fire. The fellas there – Charlie, Joel, Andrew and Eric, know what they are talking about and will go above an beyond. Trust me on this.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great instrument options for guitars and percussion. The location is not the best part of town; otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.
Solid.
I called on a Saturday to see if a kick drum could be repaired. The gentleman I was speaking with informed the drum specialist won’t be in until Tuesday to take a look at it. Perfectly understandable. I asked how long could the repair could possibly take, which seemed like a reasonable question, but the guy I was speaking with had an entire meltdown! Started talking aggressively and rudely. I told him to relax because it was a simple question. I won’t ever do business with this company. If this is how you react to and treat people for asking simple questions, I can’t imagine the level of service would be any better.
We were looking for a pre-owned Taylor or Martin acoustic guitar. We’re from out of town and had somewhere to be so we only had about 25 minutes to look around. At first everyone was nice while we looked around, both of our kids are involved heavily in music so they spent their time there trying out instruments to which the gentleman attending (I could assume owner) was kind and attentive. Until we turned down sale of a keyboard, at which point he decided to approach my autistic son while on a small drum kit and scream at him for being too big for it. I’m no fan of leaving places in handcuffs, so I didn’t cave in his face, I decided a well deserved poor review and exposure to the public what a peice of trash he is would suffice. Trying Dirt Cheap Music nearby instead.
*update following response from the owner
It is fair to say that your employee had a right to address the issue, but screaming and belittling an autistic child isn’t the way to go about it. Furthermore, my initial feelings of rage as a protective father are quite normal and my decision to take a more appropriate route is not something I am ashamed of in the slightest. Neither of them damaged anything and nothing was kicked or struck with any kind of force by either child. You responded defensively and completely missed the point. To scream at the child in an aggressive manner, autistic or not is unacceptable and the employee could have delivered the exact same message in a better tone and achieved far better results. I honestly can’t imagine any scenario that aggressively yelling at a person in your store achieves any positive results.
There is a lot I like about this place, but there is definitely a problem with sexism here. The staff seems to be entirely white and male, and one staff member in particular has consistently been very patronizing to me. Without any prior familiarity with me, he consistently assumed I lack any knowledge or expertise. He told me things about my own gear as if I couldn’t possibly understand it on my own. He told me that I would be able to settle on one type of guitar I liked once I had “some experience.” At one point, while trying out a guitar, I noted it was out of tune. I was about to tune it when he quickly took it from me, saying he would be able to tune it faster than I could. (This did not turn out to be true. He actually seemed to have some trouble with the amp’s tuner.) This particular employee has been there the last few times I’ve been in, and from other employees I’ve experienced a remote surliness. I understand this is the traditional culture of music stores, but I personally am not interested in participating anymore. It’s a shame, because I think the store has a good selection and good prices, and it’s in my neighborhood. But until the culture at the store changes, I’ll unfortunately be using ebay.
18. Sound Associates Music Ltd
Address: 225 N Perry St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
This place is the best!!! You never know what treasures you may find.. Bob and Marilyn are wonderful people who are passionate about music and sharing it with the community. They’re experts with sound equipment, guitar work, and student instrument rentals. Stop by and say hi. You’ll be glad you did! (and you’ll probably learn something) ✌️
My go-to music store for the last 12 years.
LOTS of hidden gems in here. Great prices and super helpful customer service
Good… vintage store
This is that store you walk into and know something great is LITERALLY buried in there. No music store has more stuff gingerly stacked into perilous mountain ranges throughout the store. The prices here are a little high, and the owner doesn’t like to haggle, but you can still get a deal here. Pedal buyers look elsewhere because the owner sells most of his pedals online, leaving very few in store.
Genial
Very crowded and when I went there the person working went to go talk to another customer and forgot about us.
Store to small for so much stuff in it
19. Atlanta Musicians Exchange
Address: 2619 Lawrenceville Hwy, Decatur, GA 30033 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Great location awesome service and a super selection of rockin cool musical instruments highly recommend
I have an antique Japanese shamisen (looks like a skinny banjo) that needed refurbishing — new skins, new strings, tightening of joints, etc. I brought it to Mike at Atlanta Musicians Exchange, and he found a specialist to work on it. The results were amazing! The piece is now beautiful again, and I will display it proudly. Happy to recommend this shop for repairs of even exotic instruments!
Bought a saxophone and a flute for my daughter at good deal. Very humbled gentleman and easy to work with. There are a lot of other musical instruments at good quality too. Will come back.
Do not email these people. I emailed them about a guitar to trade. They responded a week and a half later with a rude email from someone named Mike saying they couldn’t view my link (by this time, I had already traded the guitar to someone). I told them I had traded the guitar already because they took a week and a half to respond. Mike then responded with an even ruder email implying that my guitar was probably junk anyway (it was actually a nice vintage copy of an ES-335). Absolutely atrocious customer service; should be avoided at all costs. I was looking forward to shopping there whether they wanted the guitar or not; I am now taking my business to Guitar Center and Music-Go-Round.
The photo of the wall of guitars is pretty much their entire stock. I’ve seen low-end pawn shops that are less cluttered.
I spoke with the most racist person that I’ve come across in a long time, I think it was the owner. My child called the store on the 4th of July (several times because he is a child and did not realize that businesses are actually closed on the 4th of July). I was unaware that he called so many times. The following day I received a VERY nasty and distasteful message on my voicemail. When I returned the call, I wasn’t even given a chance to speak. He was yelling, using profanity and hung up on me. I will definitely tell everyone I know not do business here and I do not recommend doing business here (especially people of color). I will also post it on my social media pages. There are far too many Music stores that actually respect their customers.
After looking at other reviews, it seems that the owner is just a jerk by nature. I didn’t even see any responses to good reviews, only negative ones. So apparently you enjoy tounge wrestling. I feel sorry for the people that have to deal with you daily. Bless you anyway sir.
Update: Every business was NOT closed. I didn’t call my son did several times. You left a nasty vm on MY phone. And who has no class?? It’s definitely you…
20. Johns Violin Company
Address: 2001 Commerce Dr N, Peachtree City, GA 30269 , Ashburn , Georgia , United States
Wonderful place to buy or lease a violin, cello, or bass. So helpful!
Enjoyed my time at Johns Violin Company. I got my cello adjusted and bought some awesome bow cases. Chris (owner) is also a professional cellist which was super helpful in hearing his opinion on what could be done to adjust the bridge, sound-post, and varnish work. He has a great mindset when he helps his customers and is very professional in his work. Thank you!
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. They set up their instruments SO WELL that they almost play themselves! I bought a student viola from them and it has been an absolute joy to play. It is NOT on the same level as other student instruments, definitely a big step up!
They have also done multiple repairs on other instruments that I have.
The owner, Chris, has a HUGE wealth of knowledge: I always learn something when I visit. They are the definition of good customer service, and my instruments ALWAYS come back out better than they arrived.
This should be the FIRST place you go for YOUR string instrument needs!
Ronald Sachs rehaired my bow last time and they have been extremely friendly and courteous every time I’ve been by. I would give them five out of five except I turned in my bow for a repair a month ago and they called two weeks ago to say it had been broken in half because they mailed it to their north side location in a softer package, not the PVC tube, and it got crushed by the USPS. It wasn’t very nice but I had it for 20 years so while it is cheap to replace, it had a lot more sentimental value. They said they would call in a week and now it’s been two with no call back so I want you all to know you need to insist on the PVC shipping tube with every rehair. It’s a good store but I will now proceed with caution.
I was very excited to go up here and rent my daughters cello but the feeling did not seem mutual. It May have been the fact that I was under a time constraint but the gentleman just didnt seem to care. I was never contacted about the cello I inquired about either and ended up going elsewhere to get it.
