Great coustomer service and friendly staff. They helped me find the exact guitar strings I needed and helped me find a buyer for a Bass guitar I’ve been trying to sell for weeks. Highly recommend.
Very nice people
My hometown place to go when I need new guitar strings etc or drum equipment and more . They give guitar lessons, piano lessons, etc. Also, this place offers nice new/used rentals on instruments for band students and offer payment options. selection on low to mid to high end instruments. New and some used. Staff is always Very helpful, knowledgeable with music, instruments, and help you understand the different types of instruments that do same thing but sound different or use, very informative and instructive. Highly Recommend
Disorganized seems like good variety but expensive prices
Quick and convenient.
Quiet. Seemingly aimed at school band members.
Buyer beware. Shop around before you buy. Their instruments are way over priced and became tarnished fast. The same exact instruments they buy and rebrand with their logo, then sell to the school students can be found on Amazon for a third of the price. Check other sources before you buy, like I should have done.
I would give zero stars if I could. These people are crooks. We paid for something we never received. I called and talked with someone who told me it wasn’t even ordered yet, but now am being given conflicting stories and they refuse to give me a refund. Nobody should ever do business with this place. They charge too much and are crooks. Period
No one is ever there to answer the phone

great store, friendly and knowledgeable staff make your experience very nice only problem i found was they don’t carry Gibson or Dean but I hear they are picking up Gibson next year
Ben knew just what I was looking for in my first Electric guitar to learn on.
Very nice
Great supporter of all students and schools

Never bring a guitar here to be worked on, both times I’ve brought my guitars up there they come back with scratches and dents

The Hawkinsville Opera House is pleased with the service that we receive from Southern Music and look forward to doing business with them again in the future…THANKS
Great place with great prices and knowledgeable people. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Great
This is a nice locally owned music store. Very good selection of guitars and other musical instruments. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by and support a small business!
Cool
8. Allseasons Music Store
Address: 460 W Cherry St, Jesup, GA 31545 , Atkinson County , Georgia , United States
I walked in with a question about a guitar I already owned and the manager was very helpful. Led me through the buying process while being sensitive to my budget and ability. He didn’t try to upsell me on the fanciest guitar or any gadgets, just honest and helpful to get me what I needed. I will definitely be returning here for my future needs.
We had a great time visiting and learning some things about the owner! Thank you for a great visit!!
Good selection and good customer service
So I will say they haven’t had a chance to reach back out and fix the situation. I brought my guitar in for a set up brand new. I know I should have looked and inspected the guitar right away. But I have a before and after picture there was no damage to the guitar again brand new after I got the set up this damage was right where I can see they tried to use the truss rod adjustment tool. I know guitars get slightly dinged up but like come on…..
I will say people were nice, and guitar set up was ok. I will adjust the rating depending if they get back to me.
Edit they called me back right away I bumped up extra star guys were nice about it. I wasn’t trying to get anything out of it I just want it to be a learning experience.
Went to eat at Flacos Tacos.
Terrible service and terrible work.
Would never recommend to anyone.
Stay away!
Had a Gibson SG refinished here and it was terrible. Very patchy and uneven coverage. Worst of all was the headstock. I am a little perplexed though, they have many great reviews and other great pictures. The folks there were nice, decent selection of guitars for sale, no other complaints. I’m not sure why my guitar came out so bad.

Craig and his team moved 5 pianos for our college. I am very satisfied with the results and experience. They were very professional, careful, and very delightful folks to work and speak with. I will be calling him back for any other needs we have.
Craig is the greatest! He is always prompt, professional and responsive. I will use his services again!! Thanks!!
Very satisfied, he took his time to explain what our piano needed, and was very professional. Highly recommend.
16. Portman’s Music Superstore
Address: 7650 Abercorn St, Savannah, GA 31406 , Atkinson County , Georgia , United States
Great place! I’ve been going there for 5 years for piano lessons. It’s helping me get into my dream highschool.
I’ll go to Portman’s in Savannah any day over Guitar Center – the service was excellent. GC is alright but you don’t get that good personable friendly service like you do at Portman’s – ACE job guys! Thank you!
Nice store with great on floor inventory. All of the team were very friendly and accommodating when I stopped in.
Show up at 7:00 p.m. right at closing and they won’t sell me an external sound card in an emergency. Dude is right at the door just too lazy to sell it to me. You won’t get any more of my business. Edit: management has reached out to me in a very friendly manner and apologized for this situation. Thank you.
The store is okay. Not large, pretty small selection. Customer service, as opposed to some of the reviews, was actually pretty good. I was in there for about 2 or 3 hours and was helped every step of the way. They do, however, start off talking to you like you’ve never picked up an instrument. Must be part of their training. Other than that, pretty good music store.
Went looking for electric guitar with son. The young man that helped us knew his stuff. Very knowledgeable. Very nice. Very patient. Son returned and bought one next day.
Old instrument was overpriced
Every time I go in there to get something I check the prices of the same thing on amazon. They are way overpriced on what they sell, a pack of guitar strings is $13 compared to $6 online. Also they would not let my sister try out a drum set before she got it, and that’s how you tell if you like it. Too bad it’s the only music shop around me.
This business and “some” of the people that work at the Savannah location, were very unprofessional. Right off the bat, the lady in the front did not greet us at all. My son had his first guitar lesson scheduled with, and I’m not certain of his name but it might have been Nick. Well, we sat and sat for about ten or fifteen minutes pass his appointment time before I finally asked someone. No one knew at first, where this gentleman was. The man in the back was however very nice. He found him. When the guy came he said, “We had an appointment?”, I said “yes, we’ve been waiting for a while now!” He then just rubbed his hands over his hair and just blew it off as if it was no big deal! Long story short, I asked for my money back and I had been renting an instrument already. I returned that instrument too. The lady in office was apologetic. She told me that the owner was not able to speak with me right at that moment but the kicker is,…. I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK AT ALL!!! I didn’t even get my deposit back which I feel I should’ve! This place is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I would NEVER do business with them again and nor will I EVER recommend them to anyone!!!
17. T. Warner Artists | Live Music, DJ, & Entertainment Production
I had Ben serve as the DJ for our reception. He also provided his sound system for our outdoor ceremony. The quality was fantastic! He did a great job as a DJ. He was professional, fun, and offered ideas on how to make things run smoothly. The guests really liked it when he played the bongos as well. I hired him last-minute and it was such a good decision! The price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend him for your event/wedding!
Ben Warner & Michael Turnbo wewre absolutely fantastic!! The hospital auxiliary sponsors a fundraiser for the hospital in the form of a Platinum Ball and we have a dance after the dinner and auctions are over. Throughout the dinner, Ben and Michael played accoustic guitar and violin music and our guests were raving about the quality of their talent and the fact that they could still visit during the meal. The music they played during the dance was fabulous and the dance floor was full from start to finish. The uplighting they did for us really helped turn an ugly wall into something rather pretty too.
I would recomment Benjamin T. Warner to any type of group, wedding party, corporate group, etc. We have hired them for next year’s event already….. that’s how much we liked them.
Ben played acoustic guitar before our daughter’s wedding, providing lovely background music for guests as they waited for the ceremony to begin. My daughter requested special songs for her processional and recessional, and Ben had perfect timing starting and ending them. He provides all his own equipment, and has the perfect setup for indoor and outdoor weddings, including lighting that enhanced the reception atmosphere.
My daughter had provided a schedule of events to Ben for the reception, and Ben did a great job as MC, keeping everything on schedule. He played a huge role in making my daughter’s wedding and reception magical and memorable.
Overall great DJ, tried his best during our rainy wedding, we had a great dance party and I would recommend.
Felt there was a lack of communication, including unanswered emails and our track for the daddy daughter dance didn’t get played correctly so I can’t give a perfect score.
My husband and I booked Ben Warner for his services for our September 2020 wedding. We paid him for most of the services ahead of time. While COVID was still a large factor, we communicated with his business partner and wife through email in case anything were to fall through. We even discussed having him primarily play outside to stay safe. Up until a little over a month before our wedding, he cancelled on us- after several discussions leading us to believe that would not be the case.
While we totally understand a vendor cancelling for COVID reasons, we were not prepared for them to keep all of our money paid to them. They stated that because they had coordinated EMAILS to secure other musicians for our wedding, the fees we paid to them (>$800 if not more) would cover services rendered. These musicians were not going to be playing at our wedding so I’m not sure what services they meant.
All in all, I was devastated that Ben and his wife would take advantage of us and other people this way. It was heartbreaking to have to scramble and find someone else last minute when they had MONTHS to make the decision to cancel us.
I could even understand only giving us a partial refund, but they took every single penny. This was the only vendor that did this to us. Anyone else who canceled us, refunded us.
We were at fault in that our contract didn’t cover unexpected pandemics and there was no clause about them cancelling on us in the contract so we just lost our money.
While I’m sure Ben Warner is a talented musician and DJ, he does not care about their clientele. They have no problem stealing from their clients as was made evident to us later on. It felt slimy and dishonest.
There are plenty of other talented musicians and DJs in this area- consider them before Ben, especially if COVID is still around. He will take your money so fast and give nothing in return
Ben Warner failed to render agreed upon and contracted services and refused to refund any monies from deposit after he terminated.
On January 2019, we contracted services with a deposit for $627 for a June 2020 wedding. We had close communications during May 2020 to ensure Ben T Warner would be able to work the wedding worship with all of the uncertainties of the virus and executive orders of North Carolina. It appeared that they were noncommittal in April & May to the extent of recommending to us that we get another company to do the event. They canceled only 18 days prior to the event. At the time, NC actually had exceptions for weddings and funerals that allowed us to proceed. Fortunately we were able to scramble and find another vendor.

Always a pleasure man, mac hooked me up with a sweet deal on a peavy vypr 3 100 watt amp , way under market price too…. so calling all musicians go give this man you’re money, now.
I like that this is “mom and pop” shop run by a older couple. They are super friendly and love to talk. Very friendly place. I like that they have a couch, chairs, or a bench to sit on while you wait for your child’s lesson to finish. They do have a ceiling fan to help move the air, but it can get a little stuffy at times in the waiting area and I find myself wanting to go outside to get fresh air.
Wish they had more music products to buy, like more music books. I would much rather support a local business than have to order music online.
Check them out and save a trip to the city. Hometown folks and down to earth atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with Mack and company.
Good store. Little bit of everything. Convenient for those in the area.
asked if they had a ukulele and they didnt which was fine so we asked the guy to give us a call once they had them in stock we wrote down our number for them. Never received a call bought my ukulele some where else
Our loved piano teacher increased the fee so we thought we would try piano lessons here. Spoke several times to a lady on the phone whom encouraged us to “try” out a lesson. Never ever stating there is a $25 fee. I do not mind paying, but I did mind being surprised when leaving.
Upon arrival the older gentleman was SUPER sweet. That is so important to me. Very kind and nice man. It changed slightly when I was surprised I owed money, but that’s fine.
The piano instruction “room” is a very dingy, dark and TINY closet with an electric piano. I was expecting a real piano, not electric and it was very claustrophobic room.
We met with Rosa. At first she was ok. But she really has a persona of being annoyed about things. She suggested getting a notebook to write notes but we already had one with and she really, obviously, didn’t like our book . She did not instruct on posture or finger placement, I told my daughter, use point of finger, not the whole finger, sit up straight… i think thats 101 and should be imp. There were several instances where I felt she was just annoyed. When we left, she didn’t say anything like it was so nice to meet you, I look forward to working with you, have a wonderful evening, etc… she actually was annoyed about me asking fees for a partial month and rudely told me to speak with the front… since we are in the Oct already I was only curious about the monthly fee. She walked us halfway to the front, turned around and left… did not smile, wait for us to officially end the goodbye… I had actually said nice to meet you, thanks for your time, have a good evening to her back. Very very odd. That sealed it for me
*surprise fee
*closet of a room
*electric, not real, piano
*Rosa not very nice
*the entire place, even bathroom desperately needs renovation
We are happily taking our original piano teachers increased fee and looking forward to her excellent instruction in a beautiful room with a real piano.
Nice family business, but its just not for us. We wanted to try the other piano teachers and told yes we could. But… oh… they’re booked sweet gentlemen and I’m sure the other instructors are great. If I had known it was electric piano and that tiny room, I may not have even bothered. If it was listed somewhere, I obviously missed it. I hadn’t looked at the website. Just reviews and word of mouth.
Website is out of date. No so called “cancellation” policy which is a big one. No make up visits unless the teacher is sick. Yeah. My son has asthma and allergies and was sick 2 times during a May. Texted with the teacher to set up make up time and was never told about the policy until my son called Mac, the owner, who thought my questions were funny and he laughed at me. He offered $25 back as May has 5 Tuesday’s and basically he gave me one missed class back refund. We’ll see. Honestly I don’t like the attitude of this owner and I certainly don’t like the lack of professionalism he has and the website also not being up to date. If u r going to have a website make sure ur policies are on it and the correct rates are as well. Won’t be going back either way. Keep your $25 I guess you need all that cancellation or missed time money for sick kids to run ur business.
