Great small local business. Good assortment of instruments. Great knowledge and care for their products. Go here and support local businesses! They restoring and clean up our guitars for a very reasonable price and make sure we know all the details when picking it up.
Good people here.
Went here to rent a violin for my kid for school. The process was really easy. There were also shoulder rests and music stands and the exact book I needed for the class. Burt’s made it very easy to get set up. And when my kid decided a couple weeks in that the violin was not for them, Burt’s made the rental return process very easy. Highly recommend!
The music store to go to!
Large music store with what appears to be very knowledgeable staff. I have an old guitar that needed some attention. They were very honest in telling me the cost to repair it was not worth it. I would be better off buying a new or a newer used guitar. But they also didn’t pressure me into buying one the same day I was there. One of the guys did adjust the truss rod slightly but this guitar needs much more work than simple adjustments. I’d recommend them for an honest evaluation if you an instrument that needs setup properly.
Nice folks. Small selection.
The person working there that day didn’t really seem to want to make a sale…. The sign saying not to touch the instruments without permission was a bit off-putting.
Then, after inquiring about trying one, he selected an instrument, took it down, re-tuned it, and hung it back up. There was no sense of being encouraged to actually try it out or anything.
It was very uncomfortable and we felt quite unwelcome.
Staff helped, but it felt like I was bothering him. The only instruments for sale were on consignment. They had a few new instruments mainly guitars and bass. It was darkish. This wasn’t the music store I remembered has a child. And it breaks my heart, at least they had a flute cleaning rod that I needed.
Two people there. One was great and full of advice the other made us feel like we had no business being there because we weren’t master musicians. I will take my business and money elsewhere.

Great range of instruments. Instructors are personable, and motivating. My son is excited about how much he has learned. He has added so much to his skills and confidence. Very thankful.
Very helpful staff. They helped me find exactly what I needed, which was good because they have such a large selection of musical instruments I could have been overwhelmed. The young man who helped me explained the differences in performance as well as price, without pressuring me to purchase.
I will buy all my music needs here!!
Very knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely recommend!
4 stars because they do have a great selection, prices are fair, and the store is very clean and organized. The staff at first seemed helpful but then seemed impatient, as I was asked if I was ready to check out while I was still looking at guitars with an item in my hand. Caught me off guard as I felt rushed after only being in the store a couple minutes and wasn’t near the register. Other than that, they have a great selection of beautiful guitars and quality gear.
Very helpful in finding items for your instruments. The instruction is top drawer.
When I went there I wanted a nice sax. So they pulled out a Vito no name sax. Then the yamaha sax was $300 cheaper than the no name. Their staff was really weird too. Don’t spend your money on this company, just go to Discount music supply
I came in a week ago to look around before I bought anything the people were nice and friendly and when I came back today I was ignored and treated like I didn’t exist so instead of buying a electric guitar and bundle you guys get this review and to the 4-5 people working there at the time it’s beyond rude to ignore someone then try to say something as there are leaving I felt discriminated against this was a first.
Edit
What a joke he didn’t say anything don’t try lying and make it seem like a misunderstanding. I wasn’t alone, so instead of lying and blaming me, look at your employees and try to figure out why they didn’t greet me or ask if I needed help.
Never again will i rent here!!!! Very rude people running the counter and won’t take a cash payment!!! Thus place is not one I would recommend to anyone. Very sad
3. Discount Music Supply
Address: 5380 E Seltice Way STE C, Post Falls, ID 83854 , Benewah County , Idaho , United States
I got a great new guitar and amp for a great deal, and the owner is extremely nice and very welcoming. Definitely going back. Great place to go for strings, pedals, amps, guitars, in general all guitar needs.
I highly recommend that you do your business locally with Terry and the Crue at Discount Music Supply. We at Spirit Wind enjoy their dedication in meeting all our needs.
Hidden gem! Very nice service.
Good selection and reasonable prices
Needed strings. Good selection. Manager willing to help find anything you may need.
This is the soul of music place…
I made the drive out here from spokane based on reviews I thought it would be worth it to check it out. I got there at 3:44 and it was closed. I understand it’s in a sort of secret place but if you’re gonna close early you should maybe close around half an hour early rather than nearly an hour and a half early.
I am on tour with my band, and I am in dire need of some new sticks. We call the store around 5:30 pm to ask them when they close. They close at 6pm and we tell them we are on our way right then. Get there at 5:45 pm and they are closed. I mean, no one there, they counted out, gone. I know many musicians who tour around the area often and I have told them to NOT go to this store. Go to Burts.
It’s really too bad these geniuses have the most ridiculous hours of operation. Tried to explain to their feeble minds that people that can afford to spend money on musical instruments are WORKING for a living. Nobody is going to take time off of work to go shop at this place. Open at a decent hour and I’ll shop there. In the last 4 1/2 years, I’ve spent approx. $5,000.00 ELSEWHERE as a direct result of their terrible hours. This I must say is regrettable as I would much prefer to keep the money here in Post Falls. Note: I’ve heard these jokers complaining that sales are very poor at that store. No wonder.
I Bought a boat motor it was a great price and works perfect I think the son gary took over the business recently
The owner is nice and the prices are fair.
Family owned and good people! Excellent deals and nice stuff, and lots of different types of items too. We like to stop by when in town and see what’s new in stock. I’ve found many amazing deals and even a few rare treasures. One of my favs!!
Decent pawn shop, came in the other day and Gary had what I needed. Prices are alright, high, but it is 2022.
Wide selection of tools, power equipment, and chainsaws.
Pawn side of his business is fair, he is willing to work with people as long as they keep him in the loop.
Guns and ammo are marked up, and his FFL fee is way high. $50 as of June when I checked with him last. If you want more than 4 arms transferred, that’s $200. The same cost as getting your type 01 FFL license, and you only need to pay that every 3 years.
It’s his business to run, but I’ll stay away from him if I need a transfer.
Was over charged on the bow I bought and then shorted my tax when I returned a item not a good store don’t waist your time go up the street to goose

I absolutely love it here, great vibe, awesome music collection, and some unique bohi/hippie type things!
Rad place. A dying breed. It takes me back to my youth. I try to hit it when ever I’m in CDA.
Best record/cd store in the area. Great staff, helpful, special orders not a problem and prices are good.
Great and fun stuff throughout
Lots of music and posters. Wish they carried vintage rock posters.
Love the Kathmandu apearal
Music is not listed by genre.
There was not enough people im there to require masks(6 feet away all dal) 100 % healthy withmy 14 yr old daughter .unwilling wore the dam things in the country of freedom and bravery .
I went here around 7 tonight and the person working was very disrespectful. Me and my mom accidentally dropped one of the toys and offered to pay for it (because the seal broke) and he just kept saying “well this is absolutely useless to us now” and continued to mumble and roll his eyes, and say some mean things. I love this store and just found it very disappointing someone who acts like this works there.

Great customer service! I had a last-minute need for a music stand for a wedding “altar”. And they were able to accommodate I’m short notice . Thank you so much, this is why I support small
I like the store owner, the service is excellent, & he is considerate of the customer, not just
making a sale.
We needed to rent a flute for our son. The owner is super nice and very helpful. We would deffinatly recommend this place to anyone needing asistance with a musical instrument.
Exceptional service and knowledge but spendy.
Cool local small business, community members. Great helpful attitude for kids. Works hard to earn your trust. Totally worth it.
Mostly band instruments, but nice shop friendly gentleman who helped with a guitar…was honest and helpful
9. The Red Barn Thrift Store

Very friendly, and helpful staff. I always enjoy shopping there, and knowing that the proceeds go to a very good cause!
Found some very nice items at great prices. Very pleasant staff as well ☺️ ☺️.
I dared to voice my opinion on the prices and had to listen to a rant from the clerk about how great she is. She told me never to come back and I certainly will take her advice. Glenda Sylvester

Sean did an amazing job at our wedding, he created the perfect atmosphere with the music he provided, he went above and beyond working with us before hand to find out what we wanted!
These guys were amazing. We had them for my husbands 60th birthday party. They got a play list from us and made sure to use all the songs we wanted. Lot’s of DJ’s don’t allow request but these guys did. They were professional and on time. Hands down we will use them again.
They did an awesome job at my wedding!! Sean was very professional and played everything we wanted.. We didn’t have a wedding coordinator but he kept things moving and held the whole reception together. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future!!

Great knowledgeable staff, they guarantee their work at a fair price. Can’t beat that, especially these days. Owner is a vet, instead of going to the big stores in Spokane give these guys a try and support local business. Took my SG in for a tune up, plays better than when I got it. Fixed a chip in my LP, they offer lessons, good selection of gear.. what more could you want.
Steve the owner and operator of finger Swagger is super knowledgeable about all aspects of guitars and amplifiers and guitar effects. He does custom work on guitar. He dresses the frets works on the fretboard all the electronics on the guitar. He does the best guitar setups in town. His wife Barbara has turned into an excellent guitar repair technician. And she loves the band Journey.
Great guitar shop! Good selection of new and used guitars, amps and accessories and always get a good setup on my guitars. Thanks Steve.
Decently knowledgeable, but the price points seemed a little higher than other shops.
Very pleasant staff
Steve is a pretty good guy(the owner btw) they carry PRS guitars which is nice. This is a full service shop!
Just bad business every time you go in they try every thing to scam u. over priced and a low baller this review would be more detailed if i thot it would be ok to sware
Went in to look for my daughter’s first guitar. Quickly left feeling sorry for the poor woman who worked there, getting yelled at by her co-worker. I am assuming it was the owner and his wife.
Had a pretty good selection, but it was a bunch of cheap knockoffs. Would definitely not recommend if you are looking for a real quality guitar.
