This the place I would go to as a freshman. It has grown so much since I was here. It still has the rock, down to earth atmosphere that I love so much.
Absolutely fantastic store and staff! They help you find what you are looking for, and will call you when they get it in, if they do not have it, but most likely they will. Every kind of musical needs… From drums to pro audio, mixers, midi keys, guitars, amps speakers, cords, it is all here. Best pricing anywhere, better than used online!
Go see Paulie and the rest of the staff at MGR – Duluth. I brought in a bunch of old stuff I no longer used and was treated so fairly I walked out with a bass that I had only dreamed of owning. Always a sale going on.
Love this place! Expansive selection of used acoustic and electric guitars, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings, percusssion, speakers, mics, and all related gear. The staff is super chill and always helpful, and they seem to care more about you and your interests than making a sale. They also take used gear…any of it!…but they drive a hard bargain. Ive bought two guitars and two brass instruments from them. One of my prime spots for gear in Atl!
Great place with a large selection of basses. Prices are a bit steep.
Love this place
Was told that i wpuldnt have to worry abput getting low balled on my music equipment and that was a lie. Didnt even want cash just wanted a fair trade on an instrument. They seriously tryed to rip me off on my trade ins. Even when one of my items was completly new in box. Cant wait to see how much longer that guitar sets on there and no one buys it. Waisted two hours of my day and gas. Would have brought these guys lots of good buisness with new trade ins and buys on equipment.
Went in to buy strings for my son instrument and price is 2 times higher than others store
. Not very professional employees and store also Feels like Pawn Shop . Don’t waste your time and money.
I’ve purchased from several other locations and always dealt with people happy to make a deal and help out on the price, this place, nobody seems to care about customer service or making money. They lost out on upwards of $2000 I was ready to give them TODAY. I hope the owner sees this.
Edit: Was told via a reply to this review to call and ask for Ann. Called THE VERY NEXT DAY to find out she’s on vacation. But the way I was told was “she’s not here” “… do you want to tell me what day I should try again” “she’s on vacation”
I will NEVER spend a dollar at this store that needs to fire their entire staff and start over. Absolutely disgusting customer service
Second edit: Finally got ahold of the owner. Just an absolute lack of customer service or any type of common sense. Lost a customer for life.
This place hates money.

Address: 1304 US-80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
I was so happy I went here! I was initially hesitant as I just had a cheap ukelele I needed a string for and thought they would laugh at me :). But they were FANTASTIC!! Made me feel at home, friendly, helpful, and down to earth. Extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to share their knowledge. I was in total awe. Old fashioned customer service that you just don’t find anymore. I will make up excuses just to go back. Highly recommend!!
Cool spot with a great antique righty Gibson acoustic transformed into a lefty that I wish I could afford!
A great experience and affordable too.
Good selection and good customer service
Had a Gibson SG refinished here and it was terrible. Very patchy and uneven coverage. Worst of all was the headstock. I am a little perplexed though, they have many great reviews and other great pictures. The folks there were nice, decent selection of guitars for sale, no other complaints. I’m not sure why my guitar came out so bad.
Terrible service and terrible work.
Would never recommend to anyone.
Stay away!
4. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 1651 Horizon Pkwy #500, Buford, GA 30518 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Very friendly, extremely courteous and most polite customer service I’ve experience in a while. Kudos Jackson’s Music. (Special shout out to Gabby Blakeslee and Ms Joey for making our experience a wonderful one)
Great service, great inventory and good with all things music!
Their cordial staff was an eye-opener; I haven’t experienced such expertise in one’s craft until I walked into that store. On a Saturday, one staff member was even helpful enough to call up a rep, who only works on weekdays, to answer my questions, and he did so willingly and insisted on not hanging up until I was more than satisfied.
I like buying local. I got good service on a brass instrument repair. ( I didn’t try to use a pick )
They have fair prices and a mini guitar-center-like selection of guitars. My only complaint is I felt pushed to make a sale when I looked at guitars.
Very friendly staff. They make you understand about the different instruments if you have no knowledge about it.
We just went to this place to rent a student flute for my daughter’s first year in band. My first red flag should have been that they told me they, “weren’t sure” if they would rent an instrument for fifth grade. It kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Mind you- the only reason we went to the store in the first place is because the school gave us a flyer advertising their rental options. We sat and waited for them to “process and pull” the rental and print my rental agreement. A different person than I initially spoke with came out and told me that they could not approve me for the rental. I’d say that their standards are pretty stringent. I have a great salary job on my application. I can get approval for a credit card, a car note, but not a student flute? They collect your card and account info. How high risk can it be considering that they can withdraw my 30 bucks every month? I told the man “You know what? That’s ok, I can have my mom come up here and do it, she has great credit.” He then proceeded to tell me that he will not allow grandparents the rent instruments, only parents. Uh…What?? What difference does it make? What about the kids whose guardian is not their parent? It’s just a bit much for a 30 dollar a month commitment and a 400 dollar instrument. He told me of their rent to purchase option. You end up paying 850 bucks for an instrument that retails half of that and pay more than the instrument is actually worth in a down payment. No thanks. He also offered to sell us one for 250. For a first year music student who may end up not liking band? I think not. We took our business to New School of Music 5 minutes down the road and it was quick, easy, and actually more affordable. My husband is always in the market for another guitar (purchase not rent) and we will be getting guitar lessons for my middle child. We definitely not be purchasing any of our instruments or lessons from Jackson’s.
My music teacher wants me to have a metronome. Went in looking for a metronome. They didn’t have any, which was odd for a music store, but I wasn’t upset about it. On my way out, another associate clarified that they don’t carry metronomes because most people simply use their phones; totally reasonable. I clarified that I prefer a physical metronome, and I’d look somewhere else. The associate then told me that “professionals and real musicians use the app” and undermined my preference for a physical one. “The customer is always right” is not a maxim held by Jackson’s music. They assert that they know best, and in my experience come across as somewhat unhelpful and arrogant.
I called to see if they could do a repair on my son’s flute. They said to bring it in, they could do it but would charge an extra
20% for a rush job. I dropped it off and called in the next day to see if the repairs had been done, as my son had a Christmas concert he needed it for. I got Doug the repair man on the phone. He said he doesn’t do rush jobs and he was way to busy to deal with it. He treated me very unprofessional and they honestly don’t care about keeping anyone’s business. Please don’t waste your time here as I did.
5. B2K Music
Address: 490 F, Bankhead Hwy, Carrollton, GA 30117 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Great place lots of options great and helpful staff definitely will be a returning customer.
Prices are inflated.
Super nice dog and Kevin is OK too.
Great place to find what you want in music
They’re way overpriced, and they know it. But it doesn’t matter if you have money or not if they don’t like either going to snub you. Very very stick in the ashes, type atmosphere
I wouldn’t recommend them
Awful, awful, awful! The guys who work there are the most unprofessional, unhelpful, people I have ever met! They were extremely rude and just flat out deuchebags!
I’ll never, ever shop there again. Period.
6. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
This place has a great selection for a relatively small to mid sized shop. Everything from a guitar to a violin to a compressor pedal to a drum kit, they have it. The instrument The staff is amazing and they all happen to know me by name. Weather you’re looking for a cheap beginner guitar or a rig to play an arena, you can find it here. It’s well worth a drive and I’ve never been unhappy coming out if this place.
I couldn’t be happier with my guitar set ups! There is quality in their work. Their pedal and guitar selection is incredible and their staff is super knowledgeable and helpful! Aaron, the owner, is very kind and helpful. Great store for beginners AND expert level. This area is better because they’re here!
We’ve been coming to TCM since March when we bought our son his first guitar from Mr. John Michael. We were so impressed from our first experience and that satisfaction has only grown over the past 7 months as each week we stop in for lessons, a nice chat, guitar advice, and a restring/neck adjustment over the summer. Everyone there is super knowledgeable and kind. They have a wide range of price points for anyone from beginner to expert. His guitar teacher, Mr. Greg, is a fun and gifted musician. My husband and I are amazed by how quickly our son has been able to learn both technique and music and play real songs from his favorite bands. TCM, you have earned our business for life. We highly recommend!!
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Taught my kids to play guitar
Good
Wow. Just called Town Center Music. Someone answered. I started asking about a guitar I’m looking for and got cut off mid-sentence by the guy talking loudly to a co-worker. When he stopped talking I said hello? Hello? Nothing. A few seconds later he hangs up.
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
Went in there a couple days ago. Not a huge fan. Workers aren’t very pleasant people and they come up to you every 10 minutes kind of giving you the hint to leave if you’re not gonna buy anything like you’re in there too long.
Great for beginners I guess. Don’t come in here expecting higher quality equipment and experience. Name of their game is to hook beginners onto cheap equipment (which is totally fine) and get you out. No hanging out in there jamming for an extended time.
Maybe I came in on a bad day.
7. Jerry Lee’s Music Store
Address: 101 West St Patrick St, St Marys, GA 31558 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Moved to the area last year from a big town and it was hard to find a music store with friendly staff and when I visted Mr Jerry Lee’s it was a blessing has everything I need and words of wisdom. I look forward to making this my store.
I have purchased 3 or 4 items from Jerry Lee’s Music store. A bass amp, a wireless amp/mic, strings and other accessories. It’s always a pleasure doing business with Jerry and I drive out of my way to do business there (from St Simon’s Island). But he very knowledgeable about his products and provides that down home service that I appreciate. Since I’ve been going there I also attend music jams when I can. A fun time and a great way to build loyalty among customers. If you are in the area you should check out his selection.
Nice people. They also offer classes at reasonable prices for any aspiring musicians.
I just dropped off my daughters trumpet for a stuck valve. I was promptly greeted with a friendly smile. When I get the horn back I will up date my review.
It’s pretty cool. Like the people there.
If you are into electric guitars, the selection is very limited, and even the ones in stock had problems.
8. Music & Arts
Address: 308 City Cir #1420, Peachtree City, GA 30269 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Patrick was a great help in finding the perfect reed case
I have been there years ago.
The staff and employee was good but the guiter instructor was so bad old white men. For my experience, one day i wanted tell him I want to quick. And I said that. And then he walks around us and said to me ” I am a good teacher…” I have right to quit my lesson and he do not have right to treared me. It was so bad happen and I very frastrate that he still there.
I wouldn’t say it’s the most amazing selection, but the staff are quite nice and the prices aren’t terrible. Descent local music shop
Buyer beware….I am very disappointed and feel deceived by the store manager, John Gomez, in Peachtree City. I came in this week on 9/29/21 to look at drum sets for my son’s 13th birthday the following day. We looked at three different sets they had. He recommended either the Tama set or the Pearl roadshow set. I liked both but what sold me on the Pearl set is that he said it came with the three Zildjian cymbals, the high-hat, ride and crash. So I came back after talking to my son about it to make sure that’s what he wanted for his 13th birthday. He confirmed so I went back on 10/1/21 to purchase the set. John also recommended the silencing set when I asked him about quieting the drums down. He stated that the drum mute box set would fit the three toms, the snare, and the three cymbals. The problem is….when we got home and we put the drums together, we soon noticed the pads did not fit. The main reason is we had different cymbals than what we were told. We also had no high-hat or stand for a high-hat. The cymbals were not Zildjian either. I went into the store this morning to ask John what happened. Right away he stated that he made a mistake and that set didn’t come with Zildjian cymbals. When I reminded him that he said they did and that he also stated that the set included a high-hat, he recalled the conversation. It’s like he knew all along that he was selling me the wrong set or deceiving me. I asked what he was going to do about this but he said there was nothing he could do. Just make sure what you are buying as their advertising and manager (John Gomez) was very deceptive….and had no desire to make it right.
It was not easy to work with them to accomplish what I wanted. As a musician for 20 years, I was looking for a place to get some music equipment. Though the staff were friendly, their policies were not.
I was miffed when they could not get the item I wanted, then they said I would not be able to turn in the gift card for cash. This was disappointing to me. It does not speak well of customer service or helpfulness toward the customers goals.
If you’re looking for solutions regarding stringed instruments, I would recommend a local violin shop around the Atlanta area instead of the chain approach here. Or try to find what you want online.
Not professional at all!!! They tell you anything to get off the phone. Sad
9. Allseasons Music Store
Address: 460 W Cherry St, Jesup, GA 31545 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Very nice store and friendly. They ordered me just what I ask for didnt charge no extra. Everything was delivered just like they said it would be. Thanks
Best prices!!! Beat everybody’s prices(other stores and online)!!! Very knowledgeable. Very dependable. They stick to their word!
Walked in just to “look at guitars”. These men were so helpful and got my son very excited about wanting to play that I couldn’t help but get the guitar that night. They honestly told him answers to his questions and let him try out the different guitars. They were not pushy but rather very helpful.
My son is now taking guitar lessons every Friday afternoon with Zach at the store. I love to see my son excited about music. Thank you!!
It’s ok for this size town but if you’re looking for music you have to order it. Very nice personnel.
Man they’ve got some nice stuff in there!
Great people really good service would have given 5 stars but prices are not competitive
At least 15% higher than Guitar center
10. Attina’s Music Store Inc.
Address: 378 Glynn St N, Fayetteville, GA 30214 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Attinas is a great music store. I just very recently had a misunderstanding with the shop and the shop owner was still very flexible with dealing with a child. I just want to apologize for what i said and i will come personally to apologize. I highly advise attinas! Any misunderstanding you have with them will be taken care of by the hardworking dedicated workers there that have been working there for 52 years! They are reliable, understanding, and very professional. Highly advise !
Awesome people here. Great advice on a first guitar setup for our son. Fantastic guitar lessons, had him playing Metallica in a short period of time! Thanks John for your help!
Great store. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great experience and the employees with was super friendly
Most of the time they have what I need
Good customer service. Not a lot of music choices, but I was able to find a Rubank methods book.
Guy was on phone the whole time…and we waited. Not sure this is the norm but it was my one and only visit
Expensive, great variety
It was obvious that my presence was causing discomfort to the manager/cashier/whatever. I was not allowed to play a certain Epiphone Les Paul (not even a Gibson) because ‘they wanted to keep it clean’. I am a frikin professional guitarist with 11 years of experience and no music stores have ever denied me of handling an instrument. Highly offending for a first time visitor’s impression.
Go to Guitar Center and avoid this place, you’ll be glad you did.
11. Music Depot
Address: 304 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Helpful and friendly. Enjoyed talking with the owner.
Small Town music store with excellent service
Walked in and was greeted with a smile.
A genuine smile of appreciation.I talked too much and didn’t shop. Many more visits to come..
Nice selection, especially for a small town.
I didn’t realize there was a store that sells musical instruments in town but was pleasantly surprised! Found exactly what I was looking for and more…definitely will be returning!
Been going for a few years now, the only problem I had was with a messed up stand but it was easy to fix so it worked out fine
My wife bought a Walden acoustic guitar less than a week ago from this music store for me as a surprise. It fell off the stand and the top part of the neck “above the first fret” broke in half. I’ve been playing for 35 years and this has never happened before. The bottom of the guitar stand is 1 inch from the floor so it just fell lightly not slammed against the floor. We took it back and the owners refused to replace it or refund our money. We left the guitar there, out of our money and my gift to play music right now is at a haunt. So I would definitely not recommend this place. -Matthew Patrick Avery
Bought an avlex microphone from them that was totally defective. Not only did the store refuse to refund the money, they refused store credit as well. I’ve reported them to consumer reports and the better business bureau. They could’ve just refunded my money for selling me a broken piece of gear. Do not shop here if you don’t like getting ripped off. I’m a local musician and would’ve bought quite a bit of merchandise from them too. Their loss…
12. Smooth Stone Guitars
Address: 1861 Honeysuckle Ln, Temple, GA 30179 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Dale is the best. Setups are amazing and some crazy repair work. Can do anything. His guitars are amazing.
Really nice guy. I ordered a ukulele online and had a string popping out of the saddle. He sanded down the slot for me for free and made it playable. I really appreciated it.
Dale is a master builder and luthier . He can fix anything or build you a one if a kind professional guitar.
13. Guitar Center
Address: 2480 Briarcliff Rd NE Suite 13, Atlanta, GA 30329 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Absolutely packed with stock. I haven’t seen an impressive selection that large in a guitar center in a long long time. Went in to get a marshall dsl40cr… got side tracked ogling all the gibsons les Paul’s and my son was in heaven in the drum section.
Staff was very friendly that I engaged with. Happen to talk to the store manager briefly and he took alot of pride in his store and it shows.
Will drive extra distance to come back to this one.
They always gave me the best deal on used drums …..!
Just had to drop into one of the largest Guitar Centres in the USA. Such a cool place for all you musical needs.
There was some confusion about my order, but the manager was very helpful and helped resolve my issue quickly making sure I was set
Great selection, and unlike other GC they don’t keep all their quality guitars locked. The service is okay, but don’t expect much expertise with regard to technical guitar matters. The salesperson had to beg the Luthier to come down, out of his lair, to help. His diagnosis for my issue was that I wasn’t pressing hard enough on the strings. (I’ve been playing for 15 years and I’m an engineer by trade) Nice guys, but they lack technical know-how. If you need strings or accessories you’re good to go here.
Hadn’t been in the store for awhile. Just looking.
Went in on 12-26 to get some help with an audio interface. I was able to grab the attention of someone who was near the audio section, but he clearly did not seem very interested in helping me.
I found what I needed, but when I went to check out there were two guys completely overwhelmed, didn’t acknowledge me. One walked off. I figured I would place my order online instead.
Placed an online order for pick up at 2:00. Called for an update around 6:00 pm, was put on hold for 30 min. Called back and said it was not ready yet. It’s 8:00 pm and nothing yet.
Is it any wonder retail stores are going under? Went here to purchase a $1000 keyboard and looked around for a good 15 minutes and nobody offered to help (with many salespeople literally standing around.) Finally go up to one for help “oh, so and so can help you in a few minutes.” I’ll just buy it online from Sweetwater, which is what I should have done in the first place.
Guess I should’ve wore a “I need help, please help me shirt” lol. Even waited at register. No common courtesy.
14. Firehouse Guitars & Music
Address: 612 Medlock Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
They were great helping me rent sound equipment for an outside event. So helpful and guided me through the process since this is not my field of expertise. Will definitely use them again.
Awesome customer service! If you live in or around Decatur you should visit. I got such a great deal I drove over an hour one way to do purchase it. I was in communication with them for multiple days and they helped me pick out exactly what I needed. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.
I have bought from this place many times and have taken lessons and I am happen without the service and the instructors have passion about what they teach.
This is a pretty good little store. I bought my guitar and amp here
Rip off.go elsewhere. I use to really like bringing my daughter here but they must be under new management. Prices have gotten ridiculous!!!
15. Earthshaking Music
Address: 648 McDonough Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30315 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Visited while in ATL for work. The only independent guitar store left in the city. Very friendly knowledgeable guys, a great store
Really lovely staff, I’ve got a few pedals and lots of parts at this location and they’ve always been so helpful getting me what I’m looking for.
The best
Solid.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great instrument options for guitars and percussion. The location is not the best part of town; otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.
Overpaid for a guitar setup only to receive my guitar back without cleaning, sounding horrible and the cheapest strings on the market…as has just been verified by a Guitar Center tech…
We were looking for a pre-owned Taylor or Martin acoustic guitar. We’re from out of town and had somewhere to be so we only had about 25 minutes to look around. At first everyone was nice while we looked around, both of our kids are involved heavily in music so they spent their time there trying out instruments to which the gentleman attending (I could assume owner) was kind and attentive. Until we turned down sale of a keyboard, at which point he decided to approach my autistic son while on a small drum kit and scream at him for being too big for it. I’m no fan of leaving places in handcuffs, so I didn’t cave in his face, I decided a well deserved poor review and exposure to the public what a peice of trash he is would suffice. Trying Dirt Cheap Music nearby instead.
*update following response from the owner
It is fair to say that your employee had a right to address the issue, but screaming and belittling an autistic child isn’t the way to go about it. Furthermore, my initial feelings of rage as a protective father are quite normal and my decision to take a more appropriate route is not something I am ashamed of in the slightest. Neither of them damaged anything and nothing was kicked or struck with any kind of force by either child. You responded defensively and completely missed the point. To scream at the child in an aggressive manner, autistic or not is unacceptable and the employee could have delivered the exact same message in a better tone and achieved far better results. I honestly can’t imagine any scenario that aggressively yelling at a person in your store achieves any positive results.
I called on a Saturday to see if a kick drum could be repaired. The gentleman I was speaking with informed the drum specialist won’t be in until Tuesday to take a look at it. Perfectly understandable. I asked how long could the repair could possibly take, which seemed like a reasonable question, but the guy I was speaking with had an entire meltdown! Started talking aggressively and rudely. I told him to relax because it was a simple question. I won’t ever do business with this company. If this is how you react to and treat people for asking simple questions, I can’t imagine the level of service would be any better.
16. Music Trader
Address: 3964 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Paul helped me get set up with everything I needed to play the violin, including words of wisdom! It was a pleasure to get started with the violin in a place that I can tell I’ll be able to go back to for years to level-up my violin game. Paul would be so proud that in 3 short days, I’ve already learned the first 12(ish) notes of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
The best! Paul is a total expert, and his prices are extremely reasonable.
It is a good shop. Paul is a good guy. They’re are often hidden gems.
Guy did not care about my business, did not treat me right, does not care about the questions I asked, made me feel like less of a human, and probably will not care about this review. Do get know how this place is in business..
Came to sell some music equipment and instead of being given a counter offer. This clearly unprofessional and disinterested man behind the counter clapped and asked me to leave. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want your time wasted and your intelligence insulted. Just go to guitar center.
Edit. In an attempt to misrepresent me the owner has left a dishonest reply to this review. I was not offered proper customer service and I nor anyone that I work with will patronage your business. Best of luck to you as-well and I hope that you will take heed of the customer service practices of other more successful business in the area going forward.
Prices to high for old equipment
17. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 5485 Westmoreland Plaza, Douglasville, GA 30134 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Great group of guys …..always having a unique story and very experience and helpful at getting you taking care of … I will always stop and Shop there
Very nice people
They have remodeled some. Come see what they have done.
The salesman i had there knew HIS STUFF…. KNOWLEDGE!
Good people
Great help.
Great customer service at this place.
People there are polite enough, but have no business sense, if you’re not familiar with the music industry they will belittle you. Do not sell equipment to them, they only do consignment (which is a very outdated idea imo), and offer a 70/30% which is higher than typical music shops.
Hands-down the worst music store ever!
I was greeted when i came in.. great!! It was my 2nd time there, I usually go Guitar Center in Marietta, to a much bigger store. But after i was helped I felt as if i was being followed around the store. Evertime Id go around the corner, the guy from the front desk would pop up behind me 39 seconds later. That WASN’T good customer service… NOT the way you wanna feel as a customer, as if you’re a threat to take something. Smdh
18. Guitar Center
Address: 186 Banks Crossing, Fayetteville, GA 30214 , Boiro , Georgia , United States
Great service and selection staff very knowledgeable
Great pkace goid people ready to assist you my wife first time there she was impressed with sll the guitars and amps
Got the help I needed and the products I requested. I was invited to buy the next generation of the product but I didn’t need it. The only negative I have is that the A/C was on way too high… Was so glad to get outside after my purchase, lol.
This is my husband’s mall, musicians love this place. Just need more stock.
Great selection of guitars and accessories. Their acoustic room is a thing of dreams. Disappointed that we had to wait in “line” almost 5 minutes to be checked out considering we were the only people in checkout and the kid behind the counter just ignored us.
Service was excellent but product wasn’t as advertised
The never pickup the phone!!!
I called to ask for information on the warranty of an item I purchased 2 yrs. ago because I did not remember If I had warranty on my guitar. when the lady on the phone pulled up my information on the system, my name came up, but no purchase of a guitar came up when I 10000% know that I bought the guitar at this location. so, I asked the worker if she knew anything about a manufacturer’s warranty and she tells me that they don’t have manufacturer’s warranty on any instruments but that there is a tech to fix things. But on the shops website it clearly says that they do provide a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, so clearly, she doesn’t know what Shes talking about. So now the system doesn’t show my purchase of my guitar and I won’t ever know if my instrument has warranty or not. she wasn’t of any help, maybe she was too lazy to look up information for me.
We purchased guitars from Guitar Center in Denver when we lived there and never had a problem. Decided to order a “boxed” Epiphone Sheraton II Pro guitar since I did not want to pay full price for the display model with the ding on the body of the guitar. Was told that the shipment would take about 5 days. Received an email the next day saying the order was in. My wife went to pick it up and what did the store manager give her–yep, the display model with the clearly visible ding. Not even the box for the Sheraton II. Supposedly the central order fulfillment center said none were available in the warehouse. Spoke to the manager on the phone and got the “well, if you don’t like it you can always bring it back in 45 days” mantra. Don’t trust him, he might claim the ding is our fault. Wish I had gone to pick it up–better a disappointed son for Christmas with the promise of a new guitar on the way rather than a damaged present in-hand.

My Son takes Drum lessons with Bill Shirk and loves it. Friends and neighbors notices the improvement. We also purchases a nice set from Mike. Great price and service.
In this store I get the best deal in the world for the items I bought. This is not an exaggeration, I do looked for those items even in UK and China, and Mike was able to gave me the best deal.
I want to address some of the reviews about this store here. Before doing my purchase I visited this store 3 times. Looking for prices, deals, and inventory; to then compare their stuff with what was out there.
This is an old school music shop compiting with the giant monopolies of Guitar Center, Amazon, and Reverb. (They are aware of it) They don’t have the capacity (but most important, the soul) to hire an always smiling robot-person that knows nothing about music instruments, but that treat you like if you are in freaking Chick-fil-A.
Some days Mike was very nice, some days he was not in the mood to explain what for sure he had have to explain ten thousand times in his life. Like all of us, he is a human with good and bad days. Not a multinational corporation trying to please your mind so you buy more and more.
Being that said, in this store I found the best used gear in excellent condition at the best price. Go and try to negotiate a price on those big stores to see how that work for you. I tried, it didn’t work. But in this store, with Mike, I was able to, and even ended with some gear and accessories threw in.
It felt awesome to support a local old school music store with the right price!
Great shop, knowledgeable folks, good prices. I always try to shop here rather than one of the giants to help support an awesome local business.
Horrible Customer service and NOT HELPFUL!! Instead of helping we with appropriate prices for my gear, I was ridiculed by the prices I thought might be appropriate. A ‘good luck with selling your stuff at those prices’ is all I got. I don’t appreciate the attitude and lack of consideration. All they could have said was ‘those prices are higher than market currently…have you thought of selling them for $$$$?’. Unfortunately the response I got causes me to NEVER want to shop at this place. Sellers BEWARE.
I found the owner to be very unfriendly. I will shop elsewhere. I don’t like to feel like I am bothering someone when I’m spending my money.
I spoke with the most racist person that I’ve come across in a long time, I think it was the owner. My child called the store on the 4th of July (several times because he is a child and did not realize that businesses are actually closed on the 4th of July). I was unaware that he called so many times. The following day I received a VERY nasty and distasteful message on my voicemail. When I returned the call, I wasn’t even given a chance to speak. He was yelling, using profanity and hung up on me. I will definitely tell everyone I know not do business here and I do not recommend doing business here (especially people of color). I will also post it on my social media pages. There are far too many Music stores that actually respect their customers.
After looking at other reviews, it seems that the owner is just a jerk by nature. I didn’t even see any responses to good reviews, only negative ones. So apparently you enjoy tounge wrestling. I feel sorry for the people that have to deal with you daily. Bless you anyway sir.
Update: Every business was NOT closed. I didn’t call my son did several times. You left a nasty vm on MY phone. And who has no class?? It’s definitely you…

Incredible guys! Feels like home away from home. Extremely knowledgeable about every Genre. I learn something new everytime. The Selection is stellar. Tim painstakingly diggs to fill the store with Gems. Bob & Tim also remember their customers particular fav’s and interests. The store’ s opening is the coolest thing that’s happened to Villa Rica since the Gold rush. It’s a museum, time machine, R&R club & Church rolled all in to one.
Cool little shop. They were blasting Trouble when I walked in, that’s always a rad thing. Guy working was cool.
Parking kinda stinks, but you can make it work.
Very little space to move. They won’t take the time to look at records you bring and have very bad attitudes.
This store belittles and bullies customers who may have different music taste than the owners. They publicly post and comment on the social media of other record stores making fun of various music interests. Can’t recommend a store that will go out of their way to make others feel unwelcome in the music space.
