My 6yr old son had his first piano lesson today and Janice was nothing short of AMAZING! This was the the first time he seemed truly interested in something outside of video games and Janice was so great and patient with him. She also showed him a couple of different instruments to see which one he likes best and so he could see how the notes worked on different instruments. She helped to introduced him to music in such a great way and he absolutely love it! Thank you, Janice!
The best LOCAL music shop around. Couldn’t have been more helpful! Janice, the owner, is PHENOMENAL! Not to mention her helper/greeter Ozzy! Walked in with a smile, and left with a even bigger one. Thank you Janice!
Janice is very friendly and helpful
scammer
I bought something and they never sent my item. They insisted I pay by money gram, and once I sent the money they disappeared. Dishonest company
Rode my bike about 4 miles to play guitar for a little bit, am on vacation. I was honest with my intentions with Janice, told her I wasn’t looking to purchase just to play for a little bit. She responded with “no soliciting get out”. I was very surprised. Janice may love music, but she does not love the passion of music. I would have maximum been in the store for 30 minutes and gone my ways. It’s sad to see someone so profit driven who claims on her website “music is not to hear, it’s to feel”. She also claims “Im here to help everyone enjoy the love of music”. This couldn’t be further from the truth. She is profit driven and does not care for you as a person. I suggest to not support someone so rude as an owner, and someone who lies about her true intentions with music. She just wants your money, she does not care for your love of music. Had she allowed me to play for just 10 minutes even, she would’ve made my day. Shame on you Janice, I hope you realize your rude ignorance is unneeded in a world full of it.
Cynthia is an excellent performer and vocalist. She entertained my Christmas Party and my guests had a blast listening to her sing as well as singing along! Id thoroughly recommend her.
Such great entertainment fun with Cynthia. Her piano and singing ability is top notch and she encourages you to sing along. Cynthia is a natural at playing and singing every thing from show tunes, love songs and old standards that span. decades. You will not be disappointed.
Cynthia is simply amazing!! She is very personal, professional, energetic and truly loves playing the piano and singing. She is willing to play any song that you request. If she doesn’t already know the song, you can give her the music and she is able to play and sing it right away. Cynthia lights up the room and is a true gem!!
3. Back Alley Treasures
Address: 108 Historic, Bridge St, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
Back Alley has the best happy hour on the island and Tammie is the best bartender and barista ever!
I love this place. Cute little shop, local beers. Coffee in the morning, wine in the afternoon! They have wine flights!
Great little coffee place. I had the iced americano and my wife had a iced coffee. Both very good and refreshing.
Cute shop, good coffee
Got coffee here it was good but a little weak they had heavy cream so that was a plus!
Great little coffee shop, fun gifts. Wait time was a little long. But very good coffee.
Very nice store to shop in although jewelry pieces are over priced. Quality of coffee was not good. I would not recommend.
Nice vibe, horrible coffee.
The two women were friendly when I came in. It’s a great little place. However I had asked for a strong Latte, saying how I love strong espresso. When I tried my Latte I said in a neutral tone, “This isn’t very strong.” The manager responded, “It is for normal people.”
Wow.
That seemed uncalled for and some unusual customer service.
What a great place. So surprised by quality of selections. Shout out to staff manager who was so kind to answer my questions and hands on help. Will continue to check in to see what’s new in the used department I’m interested in.
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Shop local.
Cool store
Experience wasn’t so pleasant the 1 times I visited ugh especially October 1 2020 after I spent 465 bucks for the lady in the store to be rude to meUgh
Cool place, wide variety of”stuff”. Decent prices, no haggeling. Staff wasn’t overly friendly and had to track down someone to test an amp.
Nice price’s
Played three instruments and all three had issues. Speakers have holes on them. The employee told me he knows nothing about amps
They have no knowledge of their inventory. Selling used instruments at the brand new price. Better to buy new somewhere else at least you wont have issues or over pay. Stay away!!!!!!!
Took my guitar and violin to get restringed, they have no knowledge or whatsoever of their trade, String Pegs are missing so strings came out.
I don’t only don’t recommend this place but I will suggest you to try a different place to take your precious instruments.
Peace and let music flow.
I bought a second hand trumpet there but when it arrives at my place (Spain) the mechanic, the central core of the instrument witch is the pistons were faulty, the third pistons casing has very heavy mark of screwdriver inside, all he way from bottom to upper part. I really wonder what happened and why such a thing hasn’t been seen and clearly mentioned on the announcement. They assure me to have properly tested it and that it was working perfectly in their store. They also argue that travelling all the way to Spain may have damaged the instrument witch is a cheap excuse and impossible because it came personally with a friend of mine plus it was well stored in its case.
I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO BUY IN THEIR STORE, they are not competent at all at testing wind instrument. In my case i suppose they just move the pistons up and down, remove and reassemble all parts and assume it was fine, unfortunately this is not the way you try a pistons instrument.
They don’t wanna be responsable for that and told me they can’t do anything to resolve it.
Very unhappy with this franchise store. Very poor service
6. Drift-In AMI
Address: 120 Bridge St, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
convenient, but expensive. But it’s worth it considering it’s on the water.
DJ for karaoke and the bartender only reason I stop in
The service was great, the only thing that got to me was that they didn’t have a mask policy and it was packed. Other than that I’m sure it’s a 5-star place!
Waited all night to sing. Went up to sing. Came back Heather cleared drink and money from my spot at the bar.
New customer there????
Really unaware…Time to leave… What happened to the old owner? Place used to be the life of the island with affordable drinks. Nothing lasts…..
Im in town for my dads birthday visiting. I’m 9 months pregnant and I was in the bar waiting for a water when I felt a sudden flood of water down my legs. I was aggressively/violently told to stop making a mess and to clean it up myself. (Handed me a bucket & mop) I tried to explain my water just broke but I was escorted out into a police car. How traumatic. My poor baby boy was born in a cop car, and he will never understand why.
Lieutenant Dan on the scooter will steal your flip flops, beware.
7. Bradenton Beach Marina
Address: 402 Church Street North, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
We took the evening cruise out of the marina. The crew and live entertainment were both excellent. We highly recommend it.
We did the dolphin cruise with Roxanne and Captain Jeff. We couldnt ask for a better tour! They were so knowledgeable and friendly, and we saw so many dolphins. I cant wait to go back again!
I can only comment on boat rentals but found the experience to be adequate. The staff was helpful and friendly. The boats are a little dated but we didn’t have any problems.
The fuel dock isn’t extremely friendly for boats, lots of bare wood, bolts sticking out and no one to greet you. Not to mention, you have to pump your own gas, then walk a long ways to have the honor of paying $6.75 a gallon. Maybe that’s the price you pay for living in paradise?
Nice location across the street from the beach. It can be rough at the dock on a windy day.
Bathrooms needs cleaning
It was fun and the staff was very friendly. The problem was the equipment. The guides jet ski was extremely fast(which makes sense). One of our jet skies wouldn’t go fast at all. The max speed it hit was 35mph. The other one went up to 55mph. From the sound of the slower one the engine was struggling. So we are pretty sure that there was something wrong with it. Needless to say we were way behind everyone else and we hit every wake that came by extremely hard. It was a rough ride. The tour guide was extremely nice and so was every single staff member we spoke to. The only complaint is that all of the rentals should have the ability to keep up with the others or they shouldn’t let you take it out.
We rented boat from this marina it had a head on it. It was the filthy.nobody could stand the stink smell.i would not rent from then again.nor would I advise anybody else to do so.
First off I want to say the guys working in the yard are very friendly and nice guys. As far as the marina itself goes it may be a very good boatyard I do not know did not use any of its services as a boat yard. I would not recommend it for transient dockage, the grounds and docks are very dirty, very little help finding a spot with limited availability of slips. Tricky channel getting in and out your first time, once in the basin if you do not have a slip readily available very difficult to turn around or decide where you’re going to stop. There are a lot of bars and restaurants which is a plus. Overall if you have another choice available I would not recommend it using it as transient dockage.
We rented a golf cart for the day. They took the time to tell us about various places on the island. Great people to work throughout the advance booking, pick-up and return processes. Nice equipment and they are centrally located.
We rented two sit down electric scooters while on Anna Marie Island. Wonderful idea. It made getting around the island so much easier, especially with the traffic. I HIGHLY recommend renting from this Wife/Husband duo. They are very friendly and easy to work with. We rented the scooters for the week and had a blast.
Come-N-Go Rentals was a great decision for renting golf carts for our Anna Maria Island trip. We had a big family group and the golf carts were perfect. One 6 seater and one 4 seater. Rental agency was prompt with drop off and understanding with pick up as we had left the day prior for our honeymoon! Thank you!
The service of pick up and delivery was perfect. My 3 star rating is directed at the quality of the golf cart. We had a large family on Anna Maria for our vacation. The other two groups used another provider. We immediately noticed the difference in golf carts. Ours ran much rougher, louder, and seemed to be in need of a brake repair. All 3 carts were gas powered 6 seaters. Again, the delivery service, which came at additional fee, was as promised but perhaps inventory needs updating or at least more maintenance.
UPDATE: The business replied to my original review calling out the text that I’d sent asking for a later pick up, so I would like to provide additional context so that there wasn’t any miscommunication on MY part. What my text ACTUALLY said was “We just got down to AMI and are looking forward to hitting the beach for a bit after last night.” I assumed that when I said “last night” this naturally implied the storm Elsa seeing as she had just left the area that morning, but since I didn’t literally call out the storm in my brief conversation over text and they’d prefer to plead ignorance on the matter then it is my fault in the end for not clearly stating that the storm was the cause of our delay in getting onto the island verbatim. It is unfortunate that my words were manipulated to make it sound like I lied about the reason for my refund request, which I do not appreciate. For this reason I’ve removed a star from my review. It’s a shame too because I really did like the service we received apart from that!
I’d give this business five stars for the ease of rental and friendly check-in person, but we were supposed to pick up our bikes on Wednesday of last week and because of Elsa we got a late start to our trip, so I texted to see if we could pick up the next day and get refunded for a day and they were happy to accommodate the late pickup but would not provide a refund. I know businesses need to make money too but I guess I just thought with a situation like a tropical storm/hurricane there might have been some wiggle room. Just was a little disappointing.
UPDATE: As previous responses to reviews the owner likes to argue about semantics but doesn’t deny if your cart malfunctions while rented, whether it is maintenance or not, you will be held responsible. As you can see the $240 is more important to them than a happy customer and charity.
Rental process and golf cart is 5 stars. Concern resolution is 1 star. On the second to last day of our trip the battery died on the cart. We are not sure if we left the key on or if the battery just died. We called Come N Go and asked if they could jump the battery. They declined, referencing the carts cannot be jumped (which the manufacturer denied this being true). They kindly delivered a replacement cart and we carried on with our trip. After returning the cart they charged our on-file card $240 for a new battery. We were never explained this charge would be applied, they had every opportunity to tell us this before but decided to do it without our permission after we returned the cart. They claim to be able to prove it was from the key being left on, which they were unable to explain how they were able to come to this conclusion. We offered to pay for the towing and part of the battery but they declined. Just be aware if the cart fails while in your possession rather than apologize for the inconvenience, they will charge you and additional 50% of the rental fee. If it needs brakes or tires they will assume you wore them out and charge you full price to maintain their cart (per my experience). We had a similar situation with Robin Hood Rentals, where the cart broke down during rental and they were extremely apologetic and replaced the cart at no cost. We take responsibility that there is a chance we left the key on, but there was 0 accountability by Come N Go. If they apologize and refund the $240, I will make a donation to the charity of their choice and change score to 5 stars.
We arranged to rent a golf cart for February 12 , 2023. When that day arrives its the worst weather you could imagine . Gust of wind off the gulf up to 60 mph , sandblasting with enough force to sting our faces. The beach side restaurants were using snow shovels to remove sand from the outdoor dinning areas. A call to Come n Go Rentals office personal that morning implied we would be refunded. 4 emails 2 phone calls yielded a response , Anthony J Comegno 405B 80th St Holmes Beach Fla 34217 called back . We explained the weather conditions on the day of the rental. The local government advisory warned against being on the roads. Anthony was belligerent in defending his contract. Come n Go Rentals was the only blemish on an otherwise great Florida getaway.
These folks are located in a little alcove off Bridge Street, next to a little coffee shop. They have filled this area up with their bikes/scooters, which I presume the other businesses have agreed to.
While I was there drinking my coffee (and working on my laptop), one of the workers continued to do something that made each of their bikes make an incredible alarm, like a theft alarm. It would have prevented any conversation, and is terribly frustrating for anyone reading something or doing, well, anything.
I asked the worker if he was going to do this to every one of his bikes, and he responded they would each make some kind of sound. I politely suggested that I just had a couple more minutes of work, and then I would leave. He didn’t seem to care, and continued to set off the theft alarm on every single bike. Each one. I told him I just needed to work elsewhere, and would leave immediately. He never apologized, but just told me to have a good day.
Sorry guys for the poor review – Please be kind to folks on our little island here. This is not a tourist trap; people come here to relax and not be bothered.
Everyone else – There are a dozen other places on the island that will rent you a bike; please visit one of these alternatives until this business is able to show more respect to the public.
Working at Suncoast Voiceovers always feels like a blessing: Andrew Shapiro is a real professional and runs a top notch recording studio just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico – Look no further, this is a needle in a haystack for voiceover services in the area. Highly recommended!
Great quality, timely, always professional, easy to work with. Highly recommend!
16. Jerk Dog Records
Address: 1119 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
Great selection of new and used records, CDs and tapes. Also a nice selection of local band albums. They throw shows every now and then. I definitely recommend stopping in and checking the place out.
The best record shop I’ve been to. Killer selection and a cool owner.
Very unique record store!
Unusual selection of music. The owner is happy to see if they can get hold of anything they don’t have on-site.
Very nice selection friendly staff.
Not a lot of merchandise; however, it is very congenial, and I will go back.
17. Sea-renity Beach Spa & Bou-tiki
Address: 112 Bridge St, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
I’ve been coming to the island for years and finally became a local! I love this shop. For Christmas I asked for 6 months of massages from here and I got it! I just had my first massage from Elaine and WOW, she was excellent! It was obvious she had been doing this for 20+ years. Incredible, I’ve been getting massages for years but she tops them all. I made an excellent choice! Thanks Elaine, I look forward to many more!
We love Sea-Renity Beach Spa and boutique and easily recommend them to our guests. The boutique has great linen clothes, spa candles, aromatherapy products and hostess gifts. I’ve experienced massages and facials there and they will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The staff is warm, welcoming and friendly. In addition, they are a locals favorite!
I’ve gotten MANY massages and this was the best! Thank you Kathy! My husband and I got a couples massage on the beach inside this tiki! It was so relaxing and gorgeous. I fell asleep a little bit. Lol! If you love massages or a relaxing time go to this place! Also there are amazing on the Beach restaurants that have gorgeous views of the sun set around that area!
Exemplary service! I Highly recommend Sharon N. She listened to my concerns and went above and beyond in ways I did not expect. Professional, kind and humorous. Thank you for pampering me and bringing ease to my mind and body.
Masseuse was good, however I would not consider this a relaxing beach massage. The tent is located just over the brush line on the beach, closer to the road than the water. Between the motorcycles on the street, the motorized hovercraft toys on the beach and the people walking by on the adjacent access path, it was difficult to zone out and enjoy. Perhaps going during a less busy beach time (early morning or late afternoon) would be more enjoyable.
Loved the beachy vibe!
My wife booked services for us and had to cancel. She attempted to offer Amanda compensation to which she replied by cursing at her with profanity of the “f” word variety and hung up. I would recommend working with an alternative provider.
Very rude customer service skills. As part of our 4th family vacation at AMI, the women wanted to get a massage together. Unfortunately we had to reschedule due to the weather conditions brought by hurricane Elsa and the inability to have an outdoor massage. The lady working the desk was very rude about the situation. When we called to cancel for good,we noticed that she was on the phone and still without a change of attitude. It seems that Amanda (I believe that was her name) needs some training in customer service skills. We will not be returning.
I was overcharged and have yet to receive a refund. I spoke to them twice, the day of the massage and once after.
18. Sam Ash
Address: 7606 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34243 , Bradenton Beach , Florida , United States
Nolan is a great customer service rep! Good store good team definitely recommend!
This is an amazing store. The have a lot of different instruments and instrument books and amazing customer service
Staff at Sam Ash in Sarasota understands customer service! Outstanding service and great selection of products.
I went in to the Sarasota store to sell 2 items- a bass and a SansAmp V2. I paid $250 for the pedal 5 months ago, and never used it. Brand new, in the box. They offered me $80. And they wouldn’t budge. I know they have to make money, but that was bad.
I was in town visiting from the Midwest, and stopped in on a whim. The store was nice, although parking was 100% full, at 11am on a Wednesday.
In looking through the used gear, I found a nice, unusual guitar. Although the store was very busy, Brandon did a great job helping me, and gave me a very fair deal on the guitar. He was very friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was very laid back. Thanks, Brandon and Sam Ash!
Very good, had what we needed and were very helpful.
My husband and I went in about 2 weeks ago to buy a used saxophone. The one he really liked had a screw broken that held the neck on. So it had to be sent out to be fixed. I asked if you could buy it and come back to pick it up after the repair was done. The guy said he could not do that. So I made it clear we wanted that sax. I left my name and number and asked to be called as soon as it came back so we could buy it.
Well today Dec 17 I called to check on it and the guy showed him the wrong one and the one we wanted was sold. I do not recommend this seller.
Not sure I will ever shop here again. Woman in the brass section was very friendly and helpful. Sales manager was a total jerk to another customer and when that customer left the sales manager said “doesn’t matter he wasn’t going to buy anything anyway”. You can never judge what a customer can afford simply by looking at them.
Me and my money will go elsewhere.
I used to shop here regularly before the pandemic and left because of two employees (Jeff and Brandon) who seemed more focused on a commission than customer service. I thought I would give Sam Ash another try. I walked in around 1:00 on a Sunday, empty handed, looking for a bass amp. No one said hello as I walked in and I shopped for about 15 minutes. Not once did any employee acknowledge me being in the store. Two other people walked in and both were greeted and helped. The second people that walked in were a mother and son looking for a bass and amp for a beginner. They stood directly in front of me and the employee still didn’t even glance my way. As I was walking out one of the employees finally said ” how are you doing, man”. I will give everyone a second chance and this was their second chance. I hoped that things would change but obviously they hadn’t. If you don’t care how you are treated and just want to walk in and out then this might be your place. I personally want an overall great experience and this doesn’t happen here, at least for me. I have been shopping at Music-Go- Round and they are awesome. Check them out and stay away from Sam Ash.
Mike is phenomenal! We have listened to him perform at Anna Maria Island for years and he is always the highlight of our time on the beach. We love his music so much that we recently hired him to perform at my husband’s retirement party. He was a hit! Everyone is still talking about him. Mike is a true performer, it felt like we were right at the beach. I highly recommend him for any event.
We have listened to Mike in different venues across the Island and love his choice of music, how he makes songs his own and finally, his distinctive and clear, crisp voice. His calendar is part of our social calendar.
Excellent I was eating at the Wicked Cantana and Mike was entertaining the patrons. It was icing on the cake to a delicious dinner.
